Lil tipsy but this idea came to me. I think Velvette and Zestiel would have the funniest fucking dynamic. Velvette can dish it out and get a reaction from even Camille, but Zestiel is the only one who can give the upstart a taste of her own medicine!

I need more information on the overlords of hell, if only because I have this whole thing in my head about how they each stand in for the seven deadly sins, and I don't have one for sloth and I need it so my brain will brrr.

I know it's probably not a new idea, but here's my reasoning:

wrath - camilla carmine. she's a weapons dealer, powerful and running things (much in the same way that satan is running things - at least while lucifer is mia). she and satan also both have this whole restrained anger thing about them which I think is a great parallel (although she's got more control than he does).

lust - obviously valentino and his porn empire. now, he's a darker side of the idea of lust than our good boy ozzie. he leans more into the concept that lust without consent is greed (which ties into one of my other overlords later, you'll see), but his power absolutely lies in controlling what's 'sexy' - like how angel's work seems to be dependent more on val's kinks than what's popular with the pride ring.

envy - hear me out, but it's vox. he's constantly amassing this empire, this power, which, yeah, could be read as greed, but he's doing it because he wants what others have. he wants to be a one of the big dicks of hell, to beat camilla and zestial and especially alastor. vox creating the vees is a way to push himself above the others because he wants them to want what he has. his shows, his apps, his beef with alastor in stayed gone, everything is designed to make people like him more than the other overlords, especially alastor. hence the big smiles and posturing for audiences - he doesn't need to do that for power - he already has that. he does that because he wants to be respected/liked more than the others are. and alastor has that with the other overlords - zestial and rosie like him, camilla respects him (at least enough to speak to him like an equal). vox is looked down upon by the other overlords, and he envies that power alastor has.

pride - I feel like it's obvious it's alastor. he's so self-assured to the point that he's dismissive of everyone around him, especially those who could be seen as a threat. he goes up against adam, the most powerful of the exterminators, seemingly without any concern that he might not be strong enough to stop him (to the point where alastor isn't even armed with any angelic steel.He has some in the shield, but not even his little summoned creatures carry angelic weapons against adam). and to that point, pride is alastor's downfall there - if he'd been better prepared, he could have taken adam out. but he refused to use weapons provided by another overlord. he's threatened by lucifer (the actual sin of pride) because he can provide charlie with things alastor can't, and alastor being charlie's go-to for advice and protection and her hotel's needs are what gives him power in their relationship. it's what he needs for his ulterior motives to succeed. also, pride going head to head with pride is the most on point thing possible for the seven deadly sins.

gluttony - this feels a little lazy honestly, but rosie. but she's a cannibal, and what is cannibalism if not people throwing away all their reasoning for the joy of the feast?

greed - velvette. she's got a whole material wealth thing about her. fashion/social media overlord, the latter of which is always tied to overconsumption (hello, watch any of those grwm tiktoks where they have like, outfits for their stanley cups and twenty-three step hand care regimes where most of it is completely unnecessary). she and val are the only ones of the overlords we see consistently changing their outfits, and as I mentioned above, I see val tied into this sin, too. not just because of the outfits, but because of the love potions. ozzie calls them artificial bullshit, and we see ads in Hazbin that show that val and vel make and sell them. I also think husk would have been the overlord 'of greed' back before he lost his soul to alastor, which also fits into my headcanon that with velvette being the youngest of the overlords and having died around the 2000s/2010s (I think?), husk probably lost power before she acheived overlord status with the vees, maybe even before she died, seeing as the other residents of the hotel don't seem to know who he was in his past, so maybe it's been a while since he fell off the map.

sloth - ??? we don't really have one for sloth? I don't think the gambling overlord would have fit here, so I don't think it was husk. and we don't know enough about zestial or the others for them to fit but it doesn't feel like zestial's vibe? like, the closest we have is him not wanting to fight the angels, but that was for lack of information, rather than laziness.

so please, season two, solidify this idea for me because I love the symmetry of it and it's killing me that sloth is unfulfilled.

I love how every overlord has their own aesthetic related to history, and the oldest one there today is zestiel, who's ambiguously victorian. Did Alastor just decided history before that was irrelevant. Just picture him going around with a list of historical eras. "Finished killing all of the ancient greek overlords, time for the renaissance."

Look I need more trans fem alastor so here' my post of

Trans Fem!Alastor HCs

It takes her a century to figure out her gender, and she still doesn't figure it out until Angel forces her to sit down infront of his power point

She doesn't change her name because she finds it funny and ironic. Alastor means Avenger. And the last name I hc her with means Purity. So her name means Avenger of Purity and she thinks that is peak comedy

Somehow, her dad jokes got worse.

Husk accepts her, but he's still grumpy to her and sometimes scared of her. Girl or not, that's the fucking radio demon damnit.

Rosie insists on dressing her. Alastor has no taste in fashion and coming out as trans is not going to fix that

She has cousins in hell. The only stink they make about it is now their numbers are skewed. There are now 3 girls and 2 boys. This causes a bit of a civil prank war within the group. It lasts for days. Alastor brought home a win on the last day, her two cousins admitting defeat at the hands of the master.

The only riot Vox causes is because He didn't see the signs before everyone else. They had been friends before, he kept up with most modern ideas. But he didn't relise people could trans their gender and now he's pouting he couldn't "help" her on her gender journey. Velvette thinks he's being fucking pathetic.

Velvette BEGS her to update her style. She doesn't of course, and makes all kinds of bitchy comments about with filled with laughter. So Velvette settles for giving her a box of vintage jewelry she's never going to wear. Alastor is going to pretend she isn't touched. She does wear a broch Velvette gave her as a part of her new outfit. Velvette considers it a win

Charlie slips up and accidentally calls her mom once. She's nonchalant and supportive about it, but inside she's screaming crying throwing up. She hates that she's so emotional about it

She doesn't end up getting surgeries or treatment or anything. That would be going too close to a doctor for her liking. Too close to asking for help. Besides, she hates change and enough has changed already. Give her a few years, and she might come around to the idea of having Lucifer magically trans her gender for her. She's just got to get used to the whole 'having come out as trans thing'.

One time, someone made a comment about her. And she reminded all of hell exactly who she is. She's the radio demon, and she got to power by being the most terrifying and overpowered soul she could be. No one made a comment about her again.

Zestiel doesn't quite get it, but he's supportive and stays close to her (I'm a big fan of the grandad zestiel stuff it's really cute)

Susan still picks on her. But she is glad that she got rid of that stupid Bob and let her curls grow out. She gives a lot of backward compliments that Alastor is just used to

When Carmilla saw her at the next over lord meeting, she just raised an eyebrow and didn't say anything about it. For once, Alastor didn't try to bring the subject to her latest venture.

Hazbin Hotel Theory

Ok, so ever since I’ve seen her on screen, I’ve had a feeling about Carmilla Carmine.

Look at her. Really look at her. Her color palette is familiar, no? I know there are a lot of theories about Vaggie and her being related, but what if it was more than that? What if Vaggie was meant to be her underling, but for some reason that was taken away?

My suspicion is that Carmilla is not only a fallen exorcist like Vaggie, she was the exorcist. She was the leader of the exorcist angels before Adam, and something happened that made her fall. I don’t have enough information to suspect Adam as the reason for her possible fall, but it sounds like something he would totally do.

Think about it: her knowledge, her militant mannerisms, her knowledge of exorcist weaknesses, and last but not least: her ‘daughters’. What if, before everything went to hell (pun intended), she led the other exorcist angels and watched over them as her own? The smaller exorcists were like her children.

Another possible connection would be that this explains how she knows Zestiel. Yes, they could have met and become friends in hell, but they could have also known each other in heaven before they fell. There isn’t a lot of support for this point, I just thought Zestiel sounded like an angel name lol.

These are only theories, mind you, I just wanted to share them since I think it would be neat if they were true.

How do you think it is being owned by each of the overlords ((that we know about))

Alastor: We already know. Alastor is fairly generous to most of his souls, allowing them to do as they please... until he finds a way to use them. He probably has a few souls stationed in different places in Hell, helping him to ensure his power in different ways. And if he needs a soul to help him in combat (as we saw as he fought Adam), you're screwed unless he's bonded with you enough to not use you as cannon fodder.

Carmine: If you can fight, she'll train you to help keep her, her daughters, and her business safe. If not she'll probably have use for you picking up abandoned angelic steel and creating weapons. you'd be treated fairly decently, like an employee. She does, however, have a brutal punishment which she threatens to use on any who dare breathe a word of how her weapons are made, or any of her other closely-guarded secrets.

Zestiel: probably the most pleasant. He'd treat you decently and protect you, not so much out of kindness as a desire to keep his tools useful and loyal.

Vox: You'd be an actor on his shows. Oftentimes, you'd be a fake "guest" who's job it is to talk about how great he is. It would frequently fall to you to keep him stable and fluff his ego when off-camera, telling him how much better he is than Alastor. He'd be explosive and unpleasant to work for but not abusive.

Valentino: we know. And it certainly isn't pretty.

Velvette: Tbh I don't think she'd know what to do with an owned soul if she had one. You'd probably just be her servant, bringing her drinks and doing her chores while she insults you for being ugly and irrelevant.

Rosie: The good news is that she'd be perfectly sweet to you and her demands wouldn't be that frequent, so you could have your own life. The bad news is that she'd casually ask you to do things like kill and butcher people for her guests to eat.

An update to this! I think itd be a little silly if Velvette started calling Zestiel 'king' or snarkily replying with 'your magesty' but for now she's just caught off guard lol

So you know that theory where Angel can't be redeemed because his soul isn't his own. And I just wonder, if Charlie discovers this to be the truth, what would it mean for her relationship with Alastor and the other Overlords?

Because if Charlie truly wants to achieve her dream of giving anyone who wants it a chance to redeem and leave hell, it means she will have to directly interfere with the Overlords source of power. And I can't imagine any of them would be willing to just give up without a fight.
