On some nights it's easy to forget how much you've accomplished, On some nights it's easy to let the bad thoughts hunt you, On some nights you might even convince yourself your not worth it or how difficult almost impossible it's going to be. It's ok have a good cry and remind yourself that if alone in flesh in spirit your abundance is unlimited. Let all those bad intrusion out with those tears have yourself a good rest and in the morning you'll see the light you are all over again.

We need to talk about rock bottom… When I first got sober I was under the impression that everyone had a rock bottom. I then quickly realized that everyone’s rock bottom looks different. For some rock bottom looks like pawning family heirlooms, homelessness, divorce, unemployment, jail time, DUI’s, losing custody of children, or some combination thereof. For others rock bottom looks different, a single blackout, an embarrassing video from a night out, or a tipsy off-handed comment at the wrong time to a loved one. You don’t have to be the worst case to be a worthy case! Rock bottom doesn’t have to mean the guy under the bridge with the brown bag; it can be the successful woman who runs her own business. Ansiedade é medo.

Ansiedade é física e mentalmente exaustiva.

From the Depths of Darkness to Love and Light.

I sit at the bottom of the ocean, it's dark, not much happens down here. I wonder what is up above, but I can't move, I'm stuck here on the ocean floor. It's lonely in the darkness, occasionally something passes by but doesn't stay. I long to be away from the darkness, I occasionally see glimmers of light from above, it looks warm. What must it be like to live in the light all of the time. I settle back down and dream of being in that magnificent light.

One day the ocean doesn't feel the same, there is a lot of movement a strong current is loosening up the floor of the sea. I see other things being swept up from the sand and heading towards the light. I want to be one of them, I am ready to leave the darkness. Suddenly a larger current lifts me up out of the sand and I am spinning and moving slowly towards the light. It's brighter now, it glistens and looks like a million little diamonds. It is beautiful.

At the surface of the sea, I float and bob along in the waves. I have never felt so free and so happy. The light is warm and I feel safe. My little shell floats along until I softly land on the warm sandy shore. There are others just like me, here on the shore, some small, some big, and many with different colors. I feel safe amongst them, we are all alike yet different.

Suddenly something picks me up, I don't know what is happening but I'm not scared, there is a special feeling here. The hands turn me around and look at me on all sides then hold me very tight. We walk along the beach still in the safety of the hands that hold me. This feeling I feel is love, I was chosen because I was different than the others. I know they love me because I AM beautiful and I AM different and that's what makes me so special.

I am no longer living in the darkness, I had some help from the current to set me free, but I now live in a place full of light and full of love with other shells just like me. We were specially chosen because we are beautiful, strong and different.
