Narcissa, definitely.

I love her so much. She's a character who, like Regulus, was a victim of circumstances and her pureblood family. As the youngest of three sisters, she always felt different—the only one not named after a star, galaxy or constellation, but a flower. And as a flower, she was expected to be delicate, beautiful, and quietly enduring. When Andromeda left, the weight of continuing the family name fell on her shoulders. She married a man she didn't love because she felt trapped.

I love Nobleflower, so, to me, Alice was the little bit of light in her life. Alice taught her how to be a kid when her parents had tried to raise her as a woman. Narcissa was always taught to be quiet, but Alice showed her the beauty in sound. Alice was the first person to see through her. People always expected too much from her, wanted her to be perfect, but Alice saw her as she truly was—flawed, human, and in desperate need of love and freedom.

Years after giving up the love of her life, her oldest sister, Bella, tortures Alice and her husband to insanity. Narcissa can't even grieve her as she deserves because nobody knew about them. Nobody could know. So she just buried her pain deep inside, wearing the mask of the perfect wife and mother.

I think Draco was the only real love she felt after Alice. She loved him with every piece of herself, and we saw how she was willing to do anything in her power to protect her boy. I think she's a character defined by the depth of her love and the lengths she would go to shield those she cares about. She was broken by Andy's departure and Bella's actions, but she could never hate them, not even after everything. And that's the thing, I think she loved her sisters too much because that's Narcissa—she loves too much, and it tears her apart, her greatest strength and her deepest vulnerability.

Narcissa's love for Draco is one of the most profound aspects of her character. She dedicates her entire life to protecting him, often putting herself at great risk to ensure his safety. Her willingness to lie to Voldemort about Harry's death during the Battle of Hogwarts was driven solely by her need to find and protect her son. And I think that's why Narcissa wasn't named after a star but a flower, because unlike stars, which are distant and untouchable, flowers grow amidst the trials of the earth, enduring storms and harsh conditions yet still managing to bloom.

i actually don’t really care what jeffrey epstein’s bff thinks about f1 or jack doohan and i think it’s absurd that he’s allowed back in the paddock at all, let alone in charge at an f1 team again. because yeah, that went sooo well last time.

17: Ready When You Are took less than a day to outline and write, it was a request for someone who wanted some "let's have a baby" fluffiness from Marcus Pike and I was happy to deliver 💞

18. The entirety of Cherry, Cherry took longer than I expected, but it's also the very first fic I wrote for any fandom, ever. I put my heart and soul into it and even rewrote entire segments and whole chapters because I didn't feel they were up to par. I'm super happy with how it ended though 🩷

27: Honestly everyone I've ever talked to has given encouragement in some way or another. @itwasntimethatdidit40 patiently listens to my ramblings despite our major time difference, and @myownwholewildworld has been great support and a source of positivity. @milla-frenchy is an absolute sweetheart. @strang3lov3 has let me blab about the most random things and hasn't blocked me (yet). @604to647 is one of the nicest and most talented people walking this earth. @nerdieforpedro @sunshinehaze1 @untamedheart81 @everybodylovedcontractors @inept-the-magnificent @yorksgirl @shessweetsour have all been so sweet and nice in letting me think out loud and bark about things I probably wouldn't tell people IRL.

30. My best advice is to go with your gut. Write what you want. Write what's important to you. If there's a story in your gut, get it out. You might shape it differently than it originates, you might tweak the characters and change the setting, but don't doubt your instinct. Even if just a handful of people read it, that story is probably someone's favorite. 💝

you’ve been on tumblr so long- what is it like to be a tumblr elder?

oh my god. so fun story, the only reason I had friends in college was because we were all posting in the tag for our college and then we decided we should all meet up and hang out and blog together and we all became basically inseparable (you can look at my #tumbirds tag for the nonsense lol). I also accidentally became a minor Tumblr celebrity for a little while and had strangers coming up to me telling me they followed me and I was just like ??¿¿?‽ and it was a wild time

Tumblr was such a great place for making friends and I don't know if I've just been away too long or I'm just Old Now but I've struggled to catch that same vibe in recent years

I have had a front row seat to many of the utterly absurd and iconic Tumblr dramas and single-purpose blogs and I have had my share of viral posts which is always fun. I think I have a tag for them, maybe #popular posts or something like that? idk.

it's always been an amazing place to connect and learn from people and share resources and forge ridiculous bonds with people and it seems like it still might be that way which is wonderful. im hoping to do a bit of a redesign soon to make it easier for people to find some of the resources I've pooled on here over the years (on desktop I have drop down menus with loads of great stuff, but that's not helpful to people on mobile!!!!)

I am generally heartened by the community that continues to be built here, even if it is no longer the end all be all center of my social world. I'm hoping I can still find a way to recapture some of that spirit, though.

I actually read the book first! Just the book Rivals because I do not have the time to read the entire series and I just wanted to read the book version of Rupert + Taggie first 😭 I really prefer the way they’ve done things in the show, esp with aging her up to right away 20 (she’s 17 when we first meet her in the book, and freshly 18 when she first meets Rupert🫠)

I looooove Rupert (big surprise I’m sure for anyone who has been following me long enough) and Taggie, even tho he is an asshole😭 I love a good absolute rake manwhore turned lover boy so pathetic he can’t breathe without this one woman. Eats every time I fear. And if he thinks he can’t be with her/that he’s protecting her by being away from her? MMMMMM

Honestly I really really enjoyed the show, it’s just such good trash drama TV 😭 I can’t wait for season 2 and to see how book accurate they keep it, because honestly they kept it decently accurate, so I’m curious how far that’ll go for the second season…because the second half of the book 🫢🫢🫢

I am very dialogue-driven when writing, so a main focus has been on giving more internal dialogue and sensory processing, setting the mood. I hope I have improved in that area. 🤞🏽
