I'm in gen Z and I've got friends who think like this
I wasn't too sheltered as a kid or a teen so like I don't agree with some but I can see the reasoning. Though the asking to masturbate one is wild, like wtf dude that's just like... A weird thing to ask. Also thought it was like a canon event for some ppl to masturbate to like the idea of ppl they found attractive. I've never done that cuz yeah it feels really fucking weird like dawg I know that person, but ASKING is so fucking wild man 😭
And actors younger than 18 what's that about? If it ain't got sexual content I don't see the problem as long as like workplace abuse isn't happening because it's pretty common to my knowledge in the industry.
Like how am I on the other side of my own generations BS 😂😭 I think I should be grateful??
Don't think not smoking and drinking is a bad thing though lmao. But I know a lot of my friends and I were shamed for sex related stuff by our parents. I mean when I was i think 16 or 17 my mother went through *private* ifykyk messages and continued to shame me for things that were said for a month or so after, even getting my MUCH younger sisters involved by telling them "Leaf is doing nasty things' or "Leaf is doing things she knows she shouldn't" and then she'd directly quote things I said to my partner as a way to embarrass me. Kinda weird looking back on it but my mom's kinda fucked up lol
But I had a lot of friends with similar experiences. It doesn't really create a safe place for what are pretty normal feelings :/
But then on the complete opposite side we have shows like Big Mouth and sites like AO3 where it's a very normal thing to be horny and have kinks and it's not shamed, sometimes even encouraged. We grew up wack y'all lol
So lines had to be drawn SOMEWHERE and for a lot of ppl my age it gets to be a little much
Like I have a friend who hates like any sort of sexual reference to underage characters. Which is totally fair they're underage it's whatever. But it's to the point he gets like defensive about it. And he's the dude who's pretty steadfast in his beliefs, but it got to the point even i thought it was a little weird. Like sometimes he'd get mad about making out or slightly heavier relationships between minors, eich again I can see the thought process, but also ppl are having sex by 16 or 17, and it makes sense that characters those ages would be doing similar things. I grew up reading books where teenagers did teenager things, and I feel like there is a level of age appropriate stuff? Like no dawg don't make full ass bdsm shit for teens but I feel like referenced or even vanilla type shit is fine????
I don't have a license so I can't talk-
Working on it though ;v;
And yeah lmao masturbate it's good for you (no literally there are studies saying it's good to do lmfao, like drinking a single glass of red wine before bed once a night is good for you... Unless your a recovering alcoholic then maybe not)
Sorry went on like a whole tangent lol but I'm bored and wanted to throw my two cents as someone who's got friends who think like op mentioned but I... Don't lol.

weird anti ideology finally leaking out into the mainstream

Heard a random 90s rock song & it legit got me thinking about Steve & Billy meeting again in their twenties... Like what if s3 never happened? After the fight at the Byers, Billy kept his head down & avoided Steve? I see him as being consumed by a sense of guilt/shame & yet still not being able to apologise until, that is, the day of their graduation when he's suddenly overcome with a need to just get it off his chest. He's been crushing on this guy since he got to Hawkins & he blew whatever chance he had of even just a friendship with him, but it doesn't matter now cos he's getting out of this shithole as quickly as possible, but he can't have this guilt gnawing at him any longer...So maybe he deliberately makes sure he bumps into steve at some point and mutters out a: "Harrington. We need to talk." And sucking on a cigarette like his life depends on it, hands shaking, barely making eye contact, Billy gives the world's shittiest apology. And it feels like his heart's gonna beat out of his chest & Steve's just standing there, staring at him, an unreadable expression on his face, before saying something like: "yeah, man. I'm sorry for that night too." (In my mind either Max let drop something about Billy's homelife or Steve has deduced something's not right). Anyway. Billy finally feels like he's able to breathe again for the first time in months UNTIL steve unknowingly utters the world's most devastating sentence: "I think we could've been friends if, y'know, shit hadn't gone down the way it did...oh well." And steve gives a sort of little grin and a laugh as if what he said wasn't a major deal. "Heard you're headed back to California?" Steve asks, and Billy's barely able to nod, still struck dumb by Steve's previous offhand comment. And maybe someone calls Steve's name and suddenly that's it. The moment is broken & Steve's leaving with a "Guess I'll see you around, Hargrove... or not" and a goofy little salute. And Billy thought he'd feel better. But in fact he feels worse. Because holy shit. Steve just said they could have been friends. And that's gonna haunt him for years....
Cue a few years later and they run into each other in Chicago (listen, the idea of Billy returning to California only to realise it no longer feels like home and maybe it never did consumes me), but yeah. They bump into each other accidentally and holy shit. Steve Harrington. He looks almost exactly the same. Other than the fact he's grown out the mullet and holy shit, are those highlights in his hair??? And billy's stunned by what looks like a genuine grin of delight that crosses Steve's face once he recognises who he's walked into. And maybe they chat for a little while; Billy doesn't even know what he's saying he's so in shock at meeting his highschool crush again. But just like the last time someone calls steve's name and of course steve has a girlfriend, of course he does (joke's on billy, cos it's just robin) and suddenly the moment's broken again and steve's walking away with a casual "it was good to see you again, billy" and billy is gripped with the thought that he can't let steve slip through his fingers again. how many people get a second chance like this? he can feel his old highschool crush flickering back to life where it's buried deep in his chest and maybe steve will never like billy like that but holy shit. billy still remembers the day steve said that maybe they could have been friends if things had been different and things are different now so why not take a chance??? and billy has never felt so brave or so fucking scared in his life as he does when he steps forward and calls after steve: "Hey Harrington! Wanna meet up and catch up properly some time?" and Steve's attention is back on him and goddamn. Billy didn't even realise how much he missed those eyes until now. ANyway!! This got away from me!! But 90s Harringrove pls and thank. Also the song i heard was lightning crashes by live. like the lyrics aren't even that appropriate but there's such a nostalgic feel to it.
oh my god. OH MY GOD.
Anon, this whole message has got me in a chokehold. Like, it’s such a direct hit. 🎯🎯🎯Billy choking on an apology because he’s so painfully unfamiliar with the very concept, the absolute devastation of hearing the potential of being friends with Steve was there, but he blew it, the PINING… urgh. How Steve can unknowingly fatally wound Billy just like that.
AND THEN THE HIGHLIGHTS ARE YOU JOKING?!
I hope that things get away from you many many more times, because this was incredible.
Okay okay. Now, if I may, I will now attempt to match your freak.
ahem
By some serendipitous fuckin’ miracle, Steve agrees to exchange digits with him. They couldn’t find a napkin or any other god forsaken scrap of paper to write on, so they just scribbled their numbers down onto each other's arm. Billy was so fucking on edge that when he was peering down at the pale expanse of Steve’s mole-speckled forearm he damn near forgot his own phone number. Jesus, he’s a wreck…
At least whenever it comes to Harrington, anyway. Dude has like, Billy’s own personal strain of kryptonite woven in through his DNA or some shit. It would explain why his hands always get clammy and his knees feel like they’re made of fucking jello every time Steve flashed those pearly whites his way.
Christ, Hargrove, get it together…
Billy had spent the rest of the week running a finger along the wobbly looking numbers, fading more and more every day. Before they fade completely through, he finally finds his balls and dials Steve’s number.
A girl picks up, which… well, Billy knows Steve has a girlfriend. He didn’t know they’re living together though… but whatever, it don’t change shit.
“Steve around?” He asks, clenching the receiver in his fist so tightly that he can hear the plastic creak.
“Who’s asking?” The girl says, sounding pleasant despite her words. Sandy-haired, freckles. Cute, Billy remembers. Harrington always did go for the cute ones.
“Billy,” he answers, “Billy Hargrove. Hell know who I am.”
“Oh, Billy,” The girl’s voice draws out his name like it’s an answer to a question that she’d been stuck on. “It’s about time you called.”
Which. That…
What the hell does that mean?
While Billy’s puzzling it out, she hears the girl holler for Steve, telling him Billy is on the line. His name is said with a weird amount of familiarity.
Billy switches ears and shakes out the stiffness in his hand. Focuses on breathing evenly instead of the steady flow of questions suddenly piling up in his head.
“Billy?” Steve’s voice, clear as a bell, asks from the other line.
Billy clears his throat, “hey, man.”
“Hey. I was just about to call you.” Steve says, doing that thing where he so casually drops bombs onto Billy’s world, leveling his cities with a passing word.
“Beat you to it.” Billy grins, and hears the little huff of a laugh on the other line.
“Always so competitive,” Steve teases, and Billy can just hear the smile. It makes his chest ache. It’s the sweet kind of ache, though. “Haven’t you ever heard it’s not winning that matters, it’s taking part?”
Billy shakes his head even though Steve can’t see him and sneers, “sounds like some shit losers say to each other.”
That gets a genuine laugh from Steve, all breathy and sharp, and Billy feels himself laughing along from the sheer thrill of getting Steve going.
“Jesus, I forgot how much of an asshole you are.” Steve sighs, but there’s no heat behind it. Just shit talk. It’s fine. What guys do.
“Yeah yeah. Can’t change my spots, or whatever.” Billy mumbles as he scuffs his boot along the floor. Fucking antsy. Jonesing for a cigarette. Just get on with it you piece of shit. He takes a breath and then takes the plunge. “So listen, we should hang out this weekend. I know a few good bars where we could catch up. Maybe get into some trouble.”
Steve makes a scoffing sound, “what kind of trouble are we talking here, Hargrove?”
His heart jackrabbits in his chest. He loves this part. Billy brings the receiver just a little closer to his lips. “The fun kind, Harrington.” He murmurs, voice pitched low.
There’s a brief, unbearably tense couple of seconds where Steve doesn’t speak. He just lets Billy dangle like a hooked fish. Static from the line. He doesn’t breathe. Then.
“Friday at 8?” Steve tosses the offer out, real casual-like. And with it, Billy feels the muscles around his neck and shoulders relax, like he got shot with a tranquilizer dart. Steve continues, “You wanna meet at the same coffee shop from before? I live in the apartment building just across the street from it.”
Fancy, Billy thinks. Of fuckin’ course. All the buildings on that block are the high end kind; with door men and balconies and working elevators. Billy only ever finds himself in that leg of the city when a pipe bursts or a sink gets clogged and Billy gets called in to fix it. Of course Steve’s living in the lap of luxury here in Chicago. Mommy and Daddy’s only child. Not that it’s his fault, Billy supposed. Some people are just born luckier than others.
“Sure, rich boy,” Billy grins, “bring your appetite though, I’m buying nachos.”
Steve heartily agrees. Because obviously. Who the hell could say no to that? Rich or poor, nachos are nachos.
It ain’t a date. It ain’t. It’s just two guys hanging out, y’know, catching up. For old times sake. Getting into some trouble, like Billy said. It ain’t date.
So what if he calls and asks Heather to pre-approve his outfit when everything he owns suddenly looks stupid on him? And who cares that he dabs double the amount of cologne onto his chest and triple down his pants—Billy likes to smell good, it ain’t a big deal. He wears a silver chain around his neck, the one that matches his earring, and undoes a few more buttons than usual to show it off. It’s cold this time of year but he figures they’ll be inside for most of the night anyway. Drinking, shooting pool, tossing darts. Shit like that.
Billy chain smokes as he waits outside of the coffee shop, sucking back one cigarette after the other, trying not to think about how he’s about to see Steve fucking Harrington again; the one who got away. Or, one one Billy never even fucking had a chance with in the first place, more like. He keeps wondering if he’s making a mistake. If he should just go home, forget he ever ran into that long legged, poofy haired, Bambi-eyed—
But then Steve’s there, handing Billy some froo-froo drink from inside (somehow they’d missed each other???) before he starts giving Billy a hard time for still not having a proper winter coat. Steve’s got highlights in his hair and eyeliner on his lower lashline and a spot of foam from his drink on the tip of his nose and Jesus fuck.
Billy’s in trouble.

i know i have talked about this already, but there is not much else to talk about at this point and i still can't get over how much ick s2's finale gives me when it comes to galadriel's storyline.
everyone except for sauron invalidated galadriel's trauma and treated her like a burden in s1, then they shamed and humiliated her in s2. and it all could have had a good narrative reason... if it hadn't led to a really sexist conclusion.
the whole narrative of the good guy who slut-shamed her "fixing" her, resulting in her putting down the sword and putting on the dress instead? yikes...
i love galadriel's characterization in trop. she is a perfect blend of feminine + masculine. saying this could get me crucified but i think she is much more queer-coded than sauron is; in a way that i can see her being nonbinary-coded. she is gender-nonconforming! she is abrasive and proud and a leader!
and this makes the insinuation of that ending all the more painful - from being this authentic, complex character to being... a tradwife to be.
she did not actually turn into a tradwife ofc. now that would be a real blasphemy against tolkien, lol. as galadriel was always a leader first and foremost, never defined as a wife/mother. but narratively, it felt like that was what happened.
some people will say that it's her transformation, that she must learn not to rely on her sword, yada yada. and sure, it can be a character development. BUT! in what direction? they have to be very careful with this direction if they don't want it to come off as a regressive and bio-essentialist "embrace your inner divine feminine, woman" conservative propaganda. it can be done if they lean into "the witch galadriel" arc.
and man, it's somewhat a similar case to killing eve. one reviewer of ke's finale said that women live their lives told to sit still, be accommodating, be self-sacrificial, and there comes a point in their lives where they have to decide if they are going to conform to all that even if it's inauthentic to who they are. villanelle recognized eve's darkness (which really was her authentic self) and wanted to nourish it. so the framing of eve "surviving" villanelle and being cleansed of her "darkness" felt wrong to many.
in many ways, that's how trop s2 finale felt to me. it's so interesting how haladriel's dynamic turned out subtextually. sauron saw galadriel's trauma, her darkness and yet he alone saw galadriel's greatness in her authenticity, and offered her authority - something that all others stripped her off of. yes, he stabbed her (and villanelle shot eve, btw), but told her that he would make her into an overlord of the universe at the same time, lmao.
worst of all, it doesn't make sense legendarium wise - galadriel is going to continue being a leader; yeah, she is not going to be as abrasive, but she will grow into a stone cold bitch (affectionate) instead; she is going to have a push-pull dynamic with sauron till he evaporates. so what was all that supposed to mean? i do believe they catered to the whiny "make galadriel tradwife again" crowd, and maybe inserted a mormon propaganda where it's the most misogynistic in its' message.
anyways, i still have my fingers crossed that they redeem the story direction in s3 by dismissing the undertones of s2 finale. or else it would really leave a sour taste in my mouth.

The reason Jimmy x Curly makes me so uncomfortable starts basic with the fact that Jimmy has done things and I don't think he should be with anybody, toxic or not. Just put him in jail and leave him there and stop it with him.
But then it's also like. . . . remember how Curly didn't do anything for Anya? Remember how he defended his friend? A lesson that people are drawing from this game is toxic male culture means defending your friend no matter what they've done. "I can fix this," But then he doesn't. So Jimmy x Curly? What are you doing?
If you want Curly to become a better person in whatever AU you are, him and Jimmy dating, Curly choosing Jimmy, is not the way to go. I don't care if it's a silly joke. You're ignoring the point.
YOU ARE IGNORING THE DANG POINT BRO !!!! "Yeah they're dating and stuff" Okay so your version of Curly is he knows about Anya and everything and he's making out with Jimmy. Great headcanon my guy !!! [very sarcastic]
I've seen people diving into character analysis with the ship and not romanticizing it which makes a little more sense to me I guess?
sorry if my rambling makes no sense

The Wizard Liz Astrology observation.
I came across a video of her's and I thought... she's so Capricorn. And guess what she is. So here's a deep dive
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sun and Venus in Capricorn - The Wizard Liz is very ambitious and is materialistic. She's a hard worker, I remember watching a video of hers and her just saying 'when I do a job I do it to the best of my abilities, like when I was a cleaner I made sure the toilets were spotless'. Which is very Capricorn of her to say. Working hard comes naturally to her, as not only does she have a Capricorn sun her sun in at 10 degrees which is a Capricorn sign.
NOT TO MENTION SHE HAS VENUS CONJUNCT NEPTUNE VERY VERY PRETTY GIRL. She actually comes off as a fantasy, like I can't stop going on about how pretty she is, not to mention is that she's spiritual and creative. OH YEAH SHE'S A YOUTUBER AND NEPTUNE RULES OVER CAMERA.
Moon in cancer - looking back this makes so much sense. The Wizard Liz has a very strong relationship to her mother, and in her videos there's a bit of polarisation (sun and moon are at opposition). Being that she looks and says words that indicate that she doesn't give AF, however in actuality she's very sensitive. I don't think being sensitive is a bad thing and in fact I applaud her idgaf attitude as her moon being in the 1st degree, can indicate that she's especially sensitive about herself. I in fact appreciate her even more being that she's working on it, she's building up her self esteem.
Not to mention that the moon represents the mother and the sun the father. With the opposition happening with the planets this can indicate that her parents had a bad relationship/are now separated.
Tumblr media
Mars in libra - This actually makes another of sense being that yes she's aggressive, but is aggressively emphatic. Yes she's telling you that it's pathetic that you're hung over your ex, but she does it out kindness and empathy. She's not yelling at the viewer for sadistc purposes but rather to help. She can see both sides of the situation. Also her mars is sextile mercury (lololol funny) and is at 18 degrees which is the very rigid virgo degree, I think this is what makes her less wishy washy than the typical libra placement.
Jupiter in pisces - she's abundant in kindness. If you watch her videos, she comes from a place of kindness and love. She genuinely wants to help others and help them improve. Not to mention that her Jupiter is at 22* which is the kill or be killed degree/ a Capricorn degree. So it makes sense with how she utilises this kindness... which is that she makes money of helping others. Which is very pisces.
Saturn in aries - she's very aggressive when it comes to discipline and is very particular with how things should be and how it should be done. However looking back she does have a little bit of. a childish attitude to her which is typical for Aries placements. Also when looking at her chart her Saturn squares mercury, which could explain how her scolding comes off a bit childish. I'm not saying this from a stand point of you know talking shit but objectively, the Wizard Liz can't actually force you to clean your room, however Is scolding you from the screen. If u get what I'm saying u get what I'm saying.
Tumblr media
Pluto and mercury in Sagittarius - She's very fiery in speech and funny enough she went to a different country to use her voice to educate others. That makes also of sense being that sagittarius is the sign that's known for traveling and leaving home. Not to mention her pluto is at 9 degrees and her mercury is at 21 degrees which are sagittarius degrees.
Tumblr media
With her Uranus and Neptune being in Aquarius. I can see how this has affected her online persona, she's remarkably beautiful like really really really beautiful(Neptune), and I think that's why she's so remarkable. and I think majority of her success can be contributed to her looks. With Neptune being at 1 degree, it could manifest as her beauty being so striking, being that it's in an aries degree and I believe Neptune being in Aquarius can manifest as her having captivated the internet in a way. Also funny enough her Uranus is again at 10 degrees which is a Capricorn degree, and the chaos she stirs up is very Capricorn. Being that people have cristised her for being selfish and materialistic (lowkey Capricorn traits - btw I'm a cap moon and rising so I'm kinda insulting myself sooo yeah).
Tumblr media
Her Chiron and Lilith are both in scorpio which can manifest as her, experiencing immense manipulation and having experienced a very toxic environment. Her father had an affair which is one of the attributes of having a Lilith in scorpio. However I find that her having Chiron at 29 degrees, makes her extremely wises 29 degrees is the pisces degree and the last degree it has carried all the past lessons and has become wise. She's very wise when it comes to her own trauma, she's able to learn from it and rise from the ashes. that I find incredible she's a very strong person to be able to do that.
Tumblr media
North node in Leo at 22 degrees - this is definitely a fame degree, and she needs to power through to get to her goal.
Hmm I feel that she may be either an Aquarius rising or a Capricorn rising, so she was born with at 9-11 am. Being that being a cap rising can explain her beauty with Venus in the 1st or 12th and she does come off hard working. however her being Aquarius also makes alot of sense, she was seen as aloof growing up and didn't have a lot of friends, not to mention that she has striking features very Uranus in the 1st house and Neptune in the 1st makes sense swell. She definitely has Venus in the 12th because she's so private with her love life. Yeah and she definitely has felt more comfortable later in life compared to her when she was a teenager, although she was still very very pretty.
Tumblr media
Lololol this came of as a bit of a Wizard Liz Glaze, however I just found this quite interesting . Hopefully this doesn't come across as me being a stalker though it kinda lowkey is

Maybe no one posted any goodbye posts about Lou after the breakup because they know the plan is to bring Tommy back in 8b? (trying to be positive/probably delusional)
I feel like the first 8 episodes had so much potential for good plots, but none of it happened in a way that made sense for the main characters.
Don't know if they've just given up because they know it's the last season or if they've already know they're getting s9, so they're just doing the bare minimum to finish this season.
Hi, Nonnie! Thanks for the ask
I will say, in my mind, there are two creatures: one that lives with you in Delulu land, one that tries to be more cynical to not be disappointed in the long run - I'd rather be pleasantly surprised, you know? I went into 704 with that mindset and came out pleasantly surprised, so. Want a repeat of that lol.
The thing for me is that, if this were to be the last season and they knew about it beforehand... wouldn't that be a reason to make everything feel rounded up? And in a way it does feel like some of the characters are headed that way, but to have Buck back at the start? That doesn't make full sense to me. The frustrating part about this season for me is all the constant missed potential - and not only with BuckTommy.
Lastly - I do agree with you, which is why I say I sometimes love to live in Delulu land. I'm renting a property there, it's nice. Almost entirely furnished.
But yeah, lol. Making a post with Lou in the way they're doing with Calum would signify a close end, which the break up was not. And I definitely think 911 doesn't want to close on that door yet. Even from a business point of view, it would be such a bad idea to close on it, you know? So I think that argument holds a lot of weight.
We're at a point of - we'll see what happens, because there is still half a season left, and lots of things up in the air. It's just hard to trust 911 to do well because of how bad they've been dealing with... well, everything, since the start of the season.
My inbox is always open to rant, vent, or to discuss!
Take care <3

I agree with this post, and I want to add sth, I hope that's okay, OP.
Rosinante's anger - when he showed it - idk why but it didn't scare me. It didn't scare me like Doflamingo's anger. Doflamingo's anger fckn terrifies me.
I think you may have cracked why. Because Rosinante's anger came from a kind place. It was also presented differently. It was presented in a bit of a light-hearted, joke-like way. Even though he is burning down a hospital.
Also, even in anger, once they start their journey, Rosinante never hurts Law. He carries him around, yeah, but he never raises a hand against Law again. Rosinante isn't going to hurt his loved ones in anger. Doflamingo shows he will. I think this is also a factor of why Doflamingo's anger is terrifying and Rosinante's isn't as terrifying.
I think being Corazón helped Rosinante get that anger out. I think being Corazón probably made Rosinante realise how angry he is. But having an outlet in form of killing pirates... I think that was pretty good outlet for him. He gets to be grumpy, he gets to be angry, he gets to kill. (This is not to say Rosinante enjoys killing people.)
Also, I want to mention the Bottle Smash™ both DQ brothers do it.
But it also feels different, even though I think the source of the smash is their distress/anger.
It feels different. Is it because of what or who they're doing it? Rosinante does it because he's helpless to help Law. Doflamingo does it because the wine isn't helping him therefore he smashes it to smitherens.
Yeah, Rosinante is angry. Rosinante also didn't pull the trigger. Even if he was angry at his brother. Because his anger comes from a different place, I think.
But Doflamingo did. Doflamingo pulled the trigger very very full of emotions, and it's shown he expresses experiencing a complex flood of emotions in him by either anger or laughing. He is vulnerable, so he acts out with anger.
Rosinante doesn't have this problem with his emotions, I think. Yes, he acts out in anger, but he never lets it fog him to the point he hurts someone he loves.
Doflamingo, unfortunately, does not have that same sense. (I'm not saying he killed Rosinante in a fit of anger, he did not. He was 100% aware and there mentally, he was aware of his actions very much.)
Doflamingo's anger was always embaraced and encouraged, so he continues using it to express his emotions. North Blue Doflamingo was fckn terrifying bcs of how QUIET he was, at least to me. He didn't laugh as much as he does later. He didn't taunt people as much and got under their skin. Him expressing & processing his emotions in a safe way was never taught to him. He also was never encouraged to say what he feels. He was in a very masculine, tough guy surrounding.
Anyway, thank you for making me understand a bit more about Rosinante, OP, which also consequently helped me figure out a bit more about Doflamingo too.
Headcanon that even though he died happy, Corazon lived in anger.
This was a man who watched his fathers naïvety destroy their lives, who was hunted down by people who wanted him to suffer like they had, who watched his mother die slowly in front of him, and who watched as his brother shot his father through the skull.
He was angry. Like, reallyyyyyy angry. Rosinante burned down hospitals full of patients because the doctors refused to treat Law. He was a man who had done horrible things.
His anger, was kind, and justified, but anger nonetheless. Stop erasing this part of his character pretty please with a cherry on top, fic writers. He was goofy, and silly, and sweet, but he was also an incredibly angry man.
Cora lived angry at his brother and the world alike. He saw this in Doffy, and in Law both. He looked at Law and saw a version of himself and Doflamingo that he could save this time around. And because of that, he died without anger.

You're like, the greatest Kenlynn shipper I know. You have any idea of why do Darius love Brooklynn if they're not going to be canon? That kind of plot is very common and Kenlynn already break up. So why? I know Brooklynn didn't wanted their relationship to end, but I don't see how they will keep going... You said something like "Darius learning how to deal with rejection is a mature theme they would bring here". But Kenji learning to let go wouldn't be a mature theme too? Or Kenlynn realizing it can't work is also a mature theme...
Hello, well, first things first thanks for the compliment 😭 (?)
So to adress your point, me saying that Darius's arc being about dealing with rejection (and his guilt) makes for a compelling storyline doesn't mean that I think the same can't be said for Kenji and Brooklynn.
That's why I wasn't even mad when they introduced the storyline in season one, because it was believable that Darius could fall in love with her and it was very in character for Brooklynn to be obsessed with an investigation to the point where she neglected Kenji, it made sense and was simply very good writing. So, yeah, coming into season 2 I was sure they were going to take the "kenji/brooklynn both realize they could never work" route and shove dinostar down our throats to build them up, because looking at the story as a media with a fandom, that was what seemed more likely.
But then there was the promotional material in which Brooklynn only wrote to Kenji, which made me really doubt my conviction. And then season 2.
I think I already listed pretty much everything that suggested, at least to me, that the writers were going for Kenlynn, or AT LEAST that dinostar would remain platonic.
I wouldn't have been mad if they had made dinostar canon (still possible), it was kind of expected since they had Darius fall in love with her. But season 2 suggests it's not the direction they're heading towards (according to me at least) and honestly, I'm glad.
I'm happy because they really stepped up the writing and character conflicts since jwcc, and to me having Brooklynn reciprocate his feelings would be REALLY questionnable writing at best and straight up fanservice at worse.
In universe Brooklynn has been with Kenji for 6 years. They have being a couple for far longer than they have ever been friends. And it was Kenji who broke up. And you want me to believe she would fall for her a guy she has always seen as her best friend only a week after her break up? 😭 Mind you, a best friend she only visited because she was still obsessed with her investigation, not because she wanted to see him (proof she was like that with everyone, her relationship with Kenji wasn't the problem, it was her).
My take on Darius's arc was basically me trying to understand where they were taking his character, why they had introduced this storyline in the first place if it wasn't gonna go "anywhere" as everyone puts it.
But that's the point, we're so obsessed with shipping that we basically forget that it's not all that makes a story, and IT SHOULDN'T BE.
Darius having this arc wouldn't have been in vain even if he doesn't end up with Brooklynn. It gave him his entire arc in season 1, with him being filled with grief and guilt over her death, and it also gave him his conflict with Kenji. It made his character compelling, relatable, interesting. Like, shipping isn't all that matters, whether they end up together or not it's such a compelling story, so why would they refrain for telling it simply because of fandom culture? And to me it's just a testament of how better the writing has gotten since jwcc. The characters no longer have one dimensional relationships/conflicts with each other but have real conflicts/problematics. I'm not only speaking in terms of shipping, but also other storylines. Sammy not speaking to her family, her and yaz struggling with their long-distance relationship, Ben's paranoia, Kenji loosing two of the two most important people in his life back to back, having a death wish, Brooklynn loosing a limb, being cut from all the people she loves for months...
It's clear the writers are putting the characters in very uncomfortable situations, like, death wish and the loss of a limb, please ???
So why would Darius be any different? Why would they refrain from tackling the subject of unrequited love, of messy feelings and confusing friendship with love?
I think that what I'm trying to say is that it's a mistake to look at jwct the same as jwcc/as a kids show cattering to the fans. They're clearly not writing storylines to please the fans, but want to tackle very real subjects, and treat their characters as real people and I respect them so much for that.
I'm gonna stop here because I feel like I'm repeating myself (which I totally am, I'm sure I already wrote that in my endless ramblings). Sorry if I got carried away 😂
And (because I feel like I need to say it) I could be TOTALLY wrong. I'm only making theories on my account, I don't know sh*t except from what's in the show, so it's totally possible dinostar will end up together making me look like a clown 😂

Did anyone else.. not like the ending
Like, it felt hollow, and kinda shit
It felt like fortiche's vision was blurred and they didn't know what to do with the constrictions of it having to since up to LOL, it was just, kinda shit
There were good moments but Mel's magic was really hollow and her exasperated cry whenever she uses it is unearned unweightful power that she acts like is something empowering, and that is the case literally, but there's nothing behind it.
The whole war, felt hollow, no longer about 2 cities and struggle and more about fighting the aliens or whatever
A lot of power structures just get tossed away narratively speaking, in joining the fight for "freedom" a lot of the nuances shown get lost in favour of a shallower story
Also, they try and make Viktor sound smart and philosophical, and it feels like they took the hippie vibes and didn't try to understand when people try and solve their internal problems and understand the world around them. Viktor is not even a little profound, he's just got his head stuck up his ass from getting an arcane power up, he's a mirror of cait or jayce, given mind boggling power or ability but no idea how to handle it with responsibility
Maximum fumbling occurred with Viktor with all his philosophical points, Viktor is not good at understanding the mind, he claims to have more knowledge that he does cause he is blinded by his overwhelmedness from the arcane, he claims emotions are bad but he can't see it's cause of his emotional response, because he lost his awareness he justified all his actions with his hurt feelings. If he's truly evolved to his finest level why does he hold no common sense, why does he attach to Jayce specifically, if he's truly evolved surely he'd just be able to crank it on his cognitive abilities and figure out his idea was stupid and hollow, he's just being like Jayce accept more reckless, but it doesn't feel like they frame it as that, and well, the ending felt unsatisfying, unwholesome in it's composition, lots of empty pieces not in a 'find out more next series' way and more of a 'that's it? Seriously' way
So yeah, that's my 2 cents
Also, wars, realistic wars are steeped in politics, properly steeped, the ending bit just felt like it divorced from all that to be a reskin of an alien movie

Re-reading this post in light of the ending and today's points are 1. [Major spoilers] deciding to [major spoilers] is entirely in character 2. No, they did not do it so Ruby could be famous 3. Why do people who don't like tragedy keep reading tragedies and then getting mad when they're tragedies?
Okay the pacing in the ending is Real Bad. I wonder what happened. Series got cancelled? Author burnout??? Something's going on there.
That said, Aqua's death does not bother me like it bothers some people. This anime is a tragedy, so I'm not bothered it ended in a tragic, misguided, unnecessary sacrifice.
As outlined in the post above, Aqua has a lot of trauma around watching the women he cares about die. It's kinda A Thing, so it makes sense that being able to remove a threat to Ruby's life at the cost of his own life seemed worth it to him, especially as somebody with very low self worth. Not seeing the repercussions of that killed a lot of the drama since the manga had to rush past the fallout to a happy ending, thereby (accidentally, in my opinion) seeming to justify his decision.
But I've seen multiple places that he died to ensure Ruby's fame??? Which... he's been set up as willing to die to protect/avenge the people he cares about, and his mom died horribly right before a dome concert. Dying to let Ruby have that concert isn't about her career, it's about her getting the safety Ai didn't. It's about Ruby getting older than Ai ever got to be without fearing Kamiki the whole way. Was is the best plan? Was it a reasonable plan? Absolutely not. But did it fit Aqua's characterization and the themes of the story? Yeah.
Anyway, I look forward to the good fanfic filling in the gaps, and the ending definitely doesn't bring the manga down for me.
I’ve been resisting getting into Internet Fights about my Oshi no Ko opinions, but they have been building in my heart and I need to get them off my chest. It’s a long ramble, but the upshot is:
1. People are way to harsh on Akane 2. Aqua sucks, but also his feelings about Ai are way more nuanced than he gets credit for 3. Ruby also sucks, and pretending she doesn’t is a disservice to her as a character 4. Holy shit this got long
Ahoy for manga spoilers
Keep reading

The Aesthetics and Environmental Storytelling of the Society of the Blind Eye
This is the third post to try and make sure that we're all on the same page as to where I get my ideas and thoughts about the Society of the Blind Eye! So in the last part I discussed the Blind Eye's symbol and how it can be used to indicate that they oppose Bill Cipher. If you thought that I was pulling that idea out of my ass in the previous post, then guess what! I have further evidence of it! And that evidence is the hideout of the Society of the Blind Eye itself! Because if you pay attention, it seems that the Society's hideout was built on top of the bones of a temple dedicated to Bill Cipher!
Tumblr media
Now it's not too outrageous to think that there was probably a cult dedicated to Bill Cipher in Gravity Falls at some point, right? It's never mentioned in Journal 3 nor the Book of Bill, but Gravity Falls is very much a place of interest to Bill Cipher, and his influence there stretches back thousands upon thousands of years. And the hideout where the Society now resides... It honestly doesn't seem like something they would have constructed themselves. In fact, it seems to have originally been a temple to Bill Cipher that the Society has since retrofitted to fit their own purposes.
The connections between Bill Cipher and the Society's hideout are evident from the very outset with trying to get into the hideout in the first place.
Tumblr media
Now obviously eyes are a symbol and motif that Bill Cipher and the Blind Eye both share. This room doesn't necessarily hint at a connection to the hideout and Bill Cipher inherently, right? To that I say, look at image above the door and secondly, to get into the Blind Eye's lair...
Tumblr media
Well then, that's just a Bill Cipher right there! A triangle with an eye in the middle of it? You could even make the argument that the etchings indicating the X could be a stylized depiction of Bill's eyelashes! No hat or bow tie, sure, but that's still very much a Bill within the context of this series!
Now once you start making your way into the Blind Eye's lair, it's very clear that this place is old. Very old. Much much older than the building above it.
Tumblr media
This place is entirely made of stone with no insulation. It's lit and probably heated by fire. This place is starting to crumble and fall apart, the cracks in the walls being held together by metal brackets.
By contrast the building above it...
Tumblr media
It's a modern building with the electricity being wired through the walls and a modern lighting and heating system that's not dissimilar to what you'd normally expect out of any other building in Gravity Falls! Sure, it looks like there might be some cracks and dents in the plaster on the walls, but it's nothing too worrying or indicative of these structures falling apart! The building's been around for a while. And given the pneumatic tubes that Fiddleford likely had to have installed both within the Blind Eye's lair and the museum above it himself, that means that this building had to have been around for ~30 years at minimum. But that's nothing compared to how old the structure beneath it seems to be. It really does seem that the hideout had to have been built first and then the museum was later built on top of it. And the Society has just not been around long enough for them to have been the ones to have built the hideout!
Besides. It's a bit of an odd fit, right? A cult built around the idea of forgetting their own pasts placed underneath a location dedicated to remembering and maintaining objects from the past...? Or maybe it's just some delicious irony. I mean, the memories that they had erased are kept down there too after all. But if this building was originally run by a Bill Cipher cult...? Oh yeah! That absolutely makes sense! Of COURSE Bill would want his temple hidden underneath a museum! He basically IS human history after all, right!? He's had a hand in so many historical people's lives, events, and is part of their cultures! A temple dedicated to him underneath a museum that would basically be a shrine full of artifacts dedicated to him? He'd LOVE that! I mean, Ford had to get his various pieces of Bill Cipher memorabilia for his shrine/home from SOMEWHERE, right!? Additionally...
Tumblr media
What right and under what circumstances would the Society be allowed to have these ancient Egyptian artifacts!??? Why would the Society even WANT something like these!? The Society has nothing to do with Egypt and their artifacts, so why are these here!??? But if this place was originally dedicated to Bill Cipher... Well then... That ENTIRELY makes sense!! OF COURSE there would be ancient Egyptian artifacts in a temple to Bill Cipher! He was the inspiration for the pyramids!
I also want you to take note of that light and how you can see the electrical wiring that powers it coming out of it and running along the wall. That's a clear indication that this building was built before electricity would or could have been installed into this lair and that the electricity was installed later. Another indication that the hideout is likely much MUCH older than the building on top of it!
And as one more pretty definitive piece of evidence that this lair had originally been built by a Bill Cipher cult... THESE PILLARS!!!
Tumblr media
Now do those symbols look familiar from somewhere...? Well, some of them pretty heavily feature triangles and have a very Bill-adjacent aesthetic to them... But then there's also THIS!
Tumblr media
Here you can see that those symbols on the pillars ARE Bill Cipher symbols! It's very likely that those symbols have always been there, long long before the Society took up residence within these temple walls! From this, I think that it's pretty clear to say that this hideout existed LONG before the Society of the Blind Eye existed, and that a group of people who dedicated themselves to Bill Cipher inhabited it long before the Society became the modern, current day inhabitants of it.
... But as the modern day inhabitants of this space, it doesn't seem that the Blind Eye cares much for preserving the historical sanctity of this place.
Tumblr media
The Society seems to have taken what was there since long before them and vandalized it to suit their own iconograpy and purposes. Just like their very symbol. The evidence that I've shown thus far could be used to suggest that Bill Cipher had influence on the Society of the Blind Eye and perhaps used the Society to enact his own desires in the physical world, but I don't personally buy that idea because A) It would be EXCEEDINGLY dangerous for Bill to do so and B) The lack of care and in fact blatant defacing of this temple's features suggests the opposite to me! Hell, they don't even keep the place clean!!
Tumblr media
Other than the main chamber: Canisters. EVERYWHERE! Entirely unorganized as far as we can tell. Hoarded in piles on the floors, not even on the tables that seem to have just been placed in here willy-nilly! Put into crates without a care. It's a mess! And that's not even mentioning the pneumatic tubes!
Tumblr media
The pneumatic tubes were certainly not built at the same time as this structure and must have been installed later, likely by Fiddleford himself! They curve around everything, bracketed into place along walls and columns alike! And when they do go through the pillars...
Tumblr media
Where the tubes go through the walls and columns, the stone is cracked, holes probably having been driven into them without a care or thought about how that would effect the building's structural integrity. The sheer number of pneumatic tubes and the haphazard way they seem to have been placed everywhere is likely even more of a reflection to how much Fiddleford had damaged himself and his own mind as he desperately sought to forget. And in that state, Fiddleford probably didn't even think nor care to think about what he was doing and how it would effect this base of theirs. And besides. What would it matter? This was a temple to Bill Cipher before them. And certainly no one would remember being in such a cult after the Society was done with the town.
Tumblr media
And so that's all I really have to say about that. The Society's aesthetic is cool! You could call it something akin to Steampunk, but I think that the better keyword here is retrofitted. Or perhaps its darker counterpart- defaced. After all, retrofitting is something that Fiddleford does all the time and is all about!
Tumblr media
Using bottle caps to make memory guns, mattress springs and jugs to make sea monsters. And I imagine that the Society was built much the same way... But in a darker sense. Taking the remnants of a temple to Bill Cipher, destroying its previous aesthetic and purpose and making it suit his own to create a cult of his own that would wipe away people's memories from them until he himself would deface his own memories so thoroughly that he could only become a mere shadow of who he used to be. Very tragic for Fiddleford himself. But a very interesting implied history and aesthetic for the rest of us!

SOC and CK allegories for the queer characters (and other thoughts)
I was going to make a separate blog to yell about books but I decided to do it here.
I AM NOT DONE CROOKED KINGDOM AT THE TIME OF WRITING THIS SO EVERYTHING I SAY IS HAVING ONLY READ HALF THE BOOK SO FAR.
The Grishaverse doesn't seem to have any form of homophobia, but SOC and CK are chalk fulllllllll of what I can only see as plots that mimic queer experiences for the queer characters in the main group.
We have four queer characters (that I know of at the moment): Jesper, Wylan, Nina, Kuwei.
So let's start with the obvious, three of the four are Grisha. Obviously not all Grisha are queer, but all the Grisha in the party are. This gives them an automatic plotline of "hide who you are".
It could be said that since Nina is Ravkan she wasn't raised that way, and no, she wasn't. However since leaving Ravka she has been forced to hide for her safety, and not only that but she is frequently told she's "too much" which sounds a lot to me like what some people say about queer people when they think queer people should be less queer. Also Matthias is all about being "traditional" and "proper" and Nina's whole thing is that she is neither. Traditional and proper sound a lottttt like some people's arguments to be homophobic.
Jesper's I think is rather obvious. His father has a clear concern for his son being Grisha since it can put your life at risk. In Jesper's argument with his dad he goes off and asks his dad why did he never let him go to Ravka where he could be himself and learn about himself and his powers. Oh not to mention the fact that him and his dad talk around him being Grisha like it's some sort of virus that can be caught by simply speaking the word.
Kuwei's took a second to hit me but when it did I was like "ah yep, makes sense" and this is probably because it took me a hot second to realize Kuwei was queer. Yeah, apparently him being jealous that Jesper only looked at Wylan a certain way didn't tip me off... ANYWAY THOUGH. Kuwei is also told to hide who he is, but his dad goes the extra length of literally making a drug to help him hide himself. Is it giving anyone else Dorian's dad from Dragon Age vibes??? Blood magic for the gay son???
FINALLY, I will talk about my baby, the character I love more than anything else. Wylan. Here's the thing about Wylan, while I was reading SOC I wasn't sure if homophobia existed in this world yet and I was half convinced that his dad disowned him because gay. While his dad obviously didn't do that, I still think at the end of the day it portrays an experience that is very similar. Wylan is shamed, hidden, and ultimately his dad tries to have him killed, all because he can't read. His dad loathes him over such a stupid reason, especially since Wylan is absolutely brilliant at tons of stuff and the cutest lil guy. But I think it's that hatred of his son over something so trivial that really lends itself to being about something else entirely, Wylan being queer.
All four of our queer characters in the main group have different plots, but ultimately they all circle around the idea of hiding who you are and being ashamed of who you are. That sounds like a very common queer experience if you ask me.
I don't know if this was intentional or just a huge coincidence. As a writer myself I am all too aware of how easily accidental metaphors and symbols can happen. But I think about it a lot as I'm reading so I wanted to shout about it either way. I also have no clue if this is a common idea or not, I just know when I pointed it out to my friends who had read the books prior, one of who loves and reads them yearly, they both kinda went "oh damn, you right," but didn't see it before I mentioned it.
Anyway, if I missed things (or you wanna yell at me about how wrong I am, which is usually the more likely option) I'd love to know thoughts :)
AND BONUS THOUGHTS
This one is super obvious but I just wanna say it. Jesper is ADHD and no one will change my mind in the history of ever. This man cannot sit still, has been described as having limitless energy, and he seeks constant immediate gratification in the form of gambling and adrenalin rushes. COME ON MAN. I know I know, there's a lore reason, something something Grisha not using magic blah blah. No. No. He is ADHD and you cannot tell me otherwise. And I love him dearly.
Also, not a theory or anything but, y'all, I love Wylan so much. I just wanna give him a hug and a lollipop and tell him it's okay. He's so cute.

I don't know if this is an unpopular opinion, but I think I respectfully disagree with the last anon.
I mean Ares just has naturally violent feelings and tendencies towards everything that pisses them off. Yes, feeling the urge to hit people when you're mad isn't a "good" urge to have but it's consistent with the character, that's how Ares is and they feel it indiscriminately towards everyone.
If you're playing as a professional boxer then punching someone will all your strength is going to hurt them either way, it doesn't matter much if they're a man or a woman, because you're going to do a lot of damage either way. I don't particularly think that it's "worse" to inflict harm on a person just because they're a woman. In my eyes, a professional boxer could hurt anyone badly, and to me, inflicting harm on a man is the same as doing it to a woman because they're both equally bad. So I don't think the lesson should be "don't hit that RO because she's a woman," but rather "Don't hit ANY RO because hurting your partner is always bad and it shouldn't matter what gender they are."
But like you said, feeling the urge is not the same as actually doing it. I think it makes sense for Ares to be feeling these feelings towards everyone/anyone, regardless of gender. You can't control what emotions and thoughts pop up, but the difference is that we have some control on when to act on them or not act on them.
(Plus, even fem dame is probably not exactly defenseless, they're still a god with healing and powers, and have a lot more going on than an average human who can't stand up for themselves)
So I did delete the ask that you're referring to so most people reading this wont get the full context of what the previous person said. but Essentially yeah. There are a lot of themes in this project I'm working with. Violence being bad and thoughts not equally action are two that kind of come up a lot. Hell the entire point of the project is how violence is bad and you shouldn't do it even if you really want to. Like if you didn't get that from the prologue then I'm sorry.
In general this type of discussion is going to be difficult, especially through anon ask/poster. So i probably won't answer any more like these just because of that. I feel like I can't really express my full thoughts on through asks because there are potential spoilers and stuff too.

list some random headcanons you have for sir knight, mr. hood, and eden. GO
mr.hood
has abnormal strength in his arms / legs
utilizes weapons that can be used both single-handed and two hands. he probably loots off of things he's killed or stuff he has found. his favorite by far is his axe.
mr.hood doesn't have one specific room he stays in. he's constantly moving and traveling because things are constantly changing and to me he's someone who keeps a eye on things/in check.
friendly until aggo'd
has little to no heartbeat. his pulse is weird but that's kind of his normal and he's never thought to consider why too much
has a hard time retaining bodyheat. only reason why he might is he has multiple layers which is all long so it makes him somewhat cold but i do generally think he would lean more on the cold-to-the-touch side of things.
second to mr.crawling, i feel like mr.hood is another character i would argue that would pretty much do about anything for the mc. especially if you selected the "i want to stay with you" dialogue in his route. that's something mr.hood had to swish around in his head for a bit until it clicked. is ultimately why he ends up fetching you again and taking you under his wing because you needed him (and he has to admit... he likes being needed)
mr.hood teaching mc how to wield a crowbar efficiently (though mr.hood much prefers to be the one doing the protecting but i definitely think a scenario in which mc inquires or would like to learn- mr.hood would not deny but try to help) and more basic self-defense things should it be desired.
mr.hood likes mc sleeping under his cloak & huddled against him. kind of huddled like penguins. related to his cold body temperature-- the mc is warm unlike anything hes ever experienced so the moment is something very nice to him.
mc and mr.hood exchanging lessons about their languages.
sir knight
specializes in pastries. any sort of dessert related to the usage of bread or dough is his ballpark. he talks big about being able to do other things (and i know his stubbornness/determination would definitely try to make him persevere otherwise) but truly this is where his skills shine.
holds himself back a lot more than one would think in relation to his master (aka you); has to repetitively run it through his mind and mentally tell himself no because he's overjoyed. he truly cherishes you as his one and only yet he has to be professional and someone like him could never do half of the things he has probably dreamed of. master is sacred and he is.... yeah. he's that.
thinks back to when he treated you horribly and actually cringes. like secondhand embarrassment. he can't take it (why did i do that.. type beat)
sir knight does not have a solid face under the helmet so no kissing sorry. you gotta kiss the helmet dont be a coward. however i do think him using his smoke to engulf your face and tenderly brush against your lips is one way of him "kissing you"
sir knight can control the effects of his smoke for the most part. i think it's linked to his emotions so consciously it responds how he does. angry? it's like you're being choked, etc. happy? you're warm and feel almost a heightened sense of elation. aroused? well... uh, let's just say everything starts feeling a lot more good (canon btw)
sir knight can speak via telekinesis but is more inclined to actually talk.
likes being affectionate with his master and thrives with giving affection/taking care of his master. his love language is acts of service and touch to me so you know, his master needing that out of him is like a dream.
eden
has a lot of upper arm strength and has a really strong grip to me. i think his legs are pretty strong as well but his arms are something else.
can ALSO use a variety of handheld weapons but his go-to is his shotgun.
he is very scarred. he has so many with origins he's long forgotten or even if you point one out he's like huh. (doesnt know where it came from). one day i wanna do a scar map for him.
likes pc voice a lot but doesn't go out of his way to encourage them to speak. just hones in their voice when they do and tends to let them go on (bonus points if the two are cuddling or snugged up by the fire. he's used to the quiet and ambience in his cabin but pc being there and speaking adds a whole layer to this ambience that brightens his life a bit.)
would card his fingers through pc's hair or touch/pat/pinch at their cheeks/face. often does this with like :| a blank face but maybe towards the end he'd crack a brief tiny smile.
is very obstinate on things he decides and sometimes it's a detriment. with defiant pcs i think this leads to arguing a lot and in instances he may consider budging but it would probably take consistent discussion over a period of weeks to even a month or more. eden has a very set way of things HE wants to do things and dislikes breaking from what has always been his normal.
handholding addict. likes the feel of pc's hands against his. the power of touch is a crazy thing and it definitely makes him feel a type of way.
not really a fan of alcohol nor does he have any interest in drinking.

I need some advice
Our 3D is just a reflection of our assumption and I have proven it to myself and have seen few evidence of it too like I yesterday manifested brownies
But I couldn't manifest being in void from past 3 months almost and this is frustrating me a lot now I don't know why but I am like yeah I will be in void but whenever I assume that I am going to get in it on this day or like that I just couldn't belive myself that it is happening or will happen and I just need some genuine advice
I ha,ve manifested shit even after reacting to 3D in 4 days but this is getting on my nerves and I need some advice
By The way read your story and it is inspiring and the things happen to you were not what you deserved but am happy for you still
Bye
i've never understood why you guys care so much about that stupid void stuff. it's not the end all be all of manifestation, it's just a fucking method, like affirming, visualizing, scripting, SATS, etc. it means nothing. i truly do not understand the craze, the hype, watching people post about it and people try their hardest to get in such a state feels like watching the blind lead the blind.
if the void state isn't working for you, then just give up? no method has more significance than another, no matter what you do, the end goal is assuming you have something and it materializing. what does the void state have to do with any of that? why do you care so much?
what does the void state have to do with you achieving your dream body, your sp, money, clear skin, your dream house, dream job, what does the void state itself have to do with any of that? what is the law of assumption even about? do you even remember at this point?
the reason why you can't get into that void thing is because manifesting is about assuming, which is believing something to be true before seeing it with your own eyes (which is similar to a prediction). if you wait expectantly for something to happen, you aren't making an assumption. plain and simple. waiting for something to happen every night for 3 months defeats the purpose of making an assumption.. because waiting for something to be true, again, isn't assuming. you're supposed to already decide that it is.
i really don't know how else to put it. it just gets to a point where you guys don't even understand what you're doing anymore. if a method (a way of doing something) isn't working for you, then simply try something else? i honestly don't understand why this thought hasn't crossed your mind on your own.
in any other context, would this make any sense? you keep doing something that obviously isn't working for you until it somehow works for you, even though you already know it doesn't or it's taking too long? wouldn't it make more sense to just find another way?
this is the issue. you guys put this thing on a pedestal as if it means something, when just like any other method, it's just a way of doing something. that's all a method is, a way of doing something in order to achieve something. the purpose of using a method is to help you achieve something. so i truly don't understand why you've been trying and failing to use a method for 3 entire months. what significance does the void state truly have to occupy so much of your time? how is this more special than any other method?
and once you reach the void, what then? is it really worth stressing yourself out every night when people are literally manifesting their desires overnight by simply deciding they have them? while you've been waiting for a stupid method to work for you for the past 3 months? you are TRULY wasting your time.
you clearly are already understanding the law and proving it to yourself, so why not just keep doing that? if you've already found what works, then why are you changing? i don't get it. what do you gain in the end?

*ahem* May I step in and join on this theorizing?
So, one of the common ways people interpret that Dr. Sloth article is that Faerie magic ousted him from the surface of Neopia, and Faeries are aliens from another planet who created life in Neopia. That aligns with the fact that a lot of Faerie lore sort of parallels Mormon/Catholic/religious lore IRL, including the city in the clouds stuff, and with the idea that Faeries are guardians, protectors and controllers of Neopia, which is basically Christian angel lore with a fantastical coat of paint.
But I feel like the explanation could be more simple than alien Faeries, which would just push the creation of Faeries to another planet, without answering where they come from. I suggest that the primordial magic that created the Neopets and the world of Neopia created the Faeries as well, and they are more like, strong expressions of that magic, with much more ability to manipulate that magic that is innate to the planet, like particles of a physical force field, that both are created from the energy in the field and also are the cause for the different interactions (think gluons, Higgs bosons, photons, etc). It makes sense, given that Neopia *is* very magical, to the point that a lot of things don't make physical logical sense, like the fact that entire lands' weathers can be affected by the belief of said land's residents on what the weather should be, or the fact that the islands aren't geological formations from vulcanism, but floating pieces of rock that need to be anchored and protected against attackers. Heck, even the day and night cycle and the seasons seem to be affected by magic, as the single hour fuse of Neopia implies that every single land, be it on what side of the globe, has the sun rise and set at the same time, and the entire globe experiences seasons concomitantly, things that literally cannot happen due to basic geometry and the fact that light from one source will never hit more than one side of an object ever. The reason why all of that is possible is because the magic of this world literally breaks the laws of physics and logic, because it's so omnipresent and powerful.
Going back to the Faeries, basically, the first Faeries and a part of the Faeries nowadays would have just sprung into existence where the primordial magic was strongest, and later on Faeries could have come from either asexual or sexual reproduction. That would explain the fact that both Faeries AND Neopets have elemental affinities, where all of the Neopets' abilities fall within the realm of the six Neopian magic elements, and Faeries can affect those abilities and bless Neopets with higher affinities to their corresponding magical elements. That would also explain why Faeries all seem very associated with the lands they come from, not just in their outfits and closeness with the lands, but also, their magic varies from land to land, for example Ilere being a Dark Earth Faerie in the Haunted Woods, which has a history of dark magic land contamination (as told by the story of the Neovian Catacombs), while Illusen is more of a basic Earth Faerie, since Meridell doesn't have that same contamination on the ground.
Now, as to the Faerie overpopulation in Faerieland, I'd assume that 1. given that, mainly when it was in the clouds, it is a highly magical city, and 2. Neopets seem to flock together by species, as seen by single species tribes, and Faeries seem to do the same, so any Faerie from outside of Faerieland would probably feel compelled to go to there unless they have a reason otherwise to stay in their land of origin, and 3. given that there are probably more than one way to produce Faeries, and their long lifespan, they probably do have that more and more young Faeries are sprouting up in Faerieland because, um, yeah.
Anyways, my additional suggestions for death of Faeries is that they could probably die like 1. Gods in modern fantasy, where they fade out of existence once they are no longer relevant; or like 2. Ghosts (or Sailor Scouts on the Sailor Moon manga) where once their purpose is done, and whatever brought them onto this world has ceased to be, so they also cease to be; or, in sort of similar fashion to the higher state of being, they 3. Fade back into the magic, like a particle fades eventually, and its energy is integrated back into the field that originated it.
So yeah... Now my theorizing moment is over.
Neopets Lore (and Theory) - Faerie Aging and Faerie Populations
Here's another fun poking-at-the-Neopets-canon post about faerie aging and population numbers (this is a long'un, so to be nice I'll put a Keep Reading break in to make it easier to scroll past in the #neopets tag. ;))
1. Faeries are very long-lived, and don’t seem to grow old. In Fyora’s and Illusen’s Neopedia articles, their ages are listed as “Ageless.” (Jhudora’s age, for the record, is listed as “She’s certainly not telling.”)
Tumblr media
"Go on. Ask. See what happens."
Neopets, in contrast to faeries, have been described as mortal (such as in the Altadorian Book of Ages—“Siyana, the First to Rise, blessed [the city's] mortal heroes with the gift of great longevity”—plus I’m pretty sure Jhudora calls you a pitiful mortal or something like that as one of her quest-completion messages), which implies that faeries are immortal—that they don’t die of old age. (They do seem to be able to die of other causes; there’s at least one faerie ghost out there—Valeane, from the “Aethia and the Battle Faerie” Neopedia article.)
2. Faeries appear to, at minimum, go through a “teenager” phase during which at least some of them attend a school called the Faerieland Academy, though what that actually involves, age-wise, seems to be ambiguous—in the Neopedia article for Kaia, whose backstory involves leaving her homeland of Shenkuu to attend the Faerieland Academy, her age is simply listed as “Younger than most of her kind.”
Tumblr media
"I'm [ambiguous] years old!"
It’s not known whether Kaia is literally a teenager when she goes to the Academy, or if faeries age differently—it’s possible, as long-lived beings, that they age more slowly and reach the faerie equivalent of adolescence at a much older age than Neopets (or humans); likewise, it’s possible that faeries are “born”/created from magic and never go through a baby/young child stage, jumping straight from nonexistence to the equivalent of teen-hood. (I don't believe an infant or toddler-stage faerie has ever shown up in canon.)
3. The ongoing existence of the Faerieland Academy implies that faeries are being born/created at a fairly steady rate—there’d be no need for a school for young faeries if there weren’t an ongoing stream of faerie youths to be schooled.
(It’s not impossible that Neopets might attend the Faerieland Academy as well—there’s an old TCG card that references a “Faerieland Magic Academy” that Neopet would-be mages could attend. However, this may not be the same as the Faerieland Academy that Kaia and other faeries go to, and Kaia’s article doesn’t mention her interacting with other Neopets as students—only faeries.)
Tumblr media
"And all of those faeries are jerks!"
4. It’s not clear how faeries are born/created.
At least one faerie mentions her mother—in the “Aethia and the Battle Faerie” Neopedia article, Aethia introduces herself as “student of Shyvara, daughter of Dreeana.” There is also an item called “Illusen’s Family Recipe Cake,” which means that Illusen presumably has a family that passed down the recipe for that cake.
However, it’s never clearly stated whether these familial relationships come about through birth or adoption. It’s possible that faeries reproduce through parthenogenesis, or--given that they're magical creatures--just use some sort of spell to conjure up children out of thin air. It’s also possible that faeries simply pop up spontaneously from Neopia’s natural magic (or something like that) and are then adopted by an adult faerie, though that option raises an obvious question—what happens if a young faerie pops into existence somewhere remote, without any faeries or Neopets nearby?
(The worst option, of course, is for faeries to be like ants or honeybees, in which the Queen is responsible for producing all the eggs necessary to keep the colony going. I would not wish that on Queen Fyora--it seems like an awful lot of work, and ruling a city-state seems hard enough on its own.) (Though there's a part of me that's strangely amused by the idea of faeries being insect-like enough to have a grub-like larval stage.)
Tumblr media
"Why would you even suggest that."
5. However it is more faeries enter Neopia, here we run into a problem—that is, population.
If faeries don’t die of old age, and more faeries keep being born/created… eventually you’re going to start seeing overcrowding.
This presents a few possibilities:
a) Faeries do actually die of old age; it’s just that none of them have hit that age yet.
If Dr. Sloth's Neopedia article is to be believed, Neopia as we know it came into existence around 2,000 years ago—prior to that, Neopia was a wasteland without Neopets or faeries, until one day the world spontaneously became covered with greenery and Neopets popped into existence (much to Dr. Sloth’s dismay—he’d liked having a nice wasteland to fill with cool mutants!). It’s possible that faeries do have a maximum lifespan, but it’s simply higher than the number of years faeries have existed as a species. After a certain point, therefore, the faerie population could then stabilize.
b) Faeries do actually die of old age, and some have already done so, but faeries don’t like to talk about it—and might even deliberately hide their mortality from Neopets.
We know that Fyora has been Queen for at least 1,000 years (since she was the one to seal away the Darkest Faerie 1,000 years ago), so faerie lifespans would have to be at least 1,000-plus-however-old-Fyora-was-when-she-became-Queen, but (again, assuming the Dr. Sloth article is accurate) less than 2,000-and-change.
(As a side note, it’s implied that Fyora wasn’t the first Faerie Queen; according to the description of the (on-site item) book A New Day, Fyora was once an “up-and-coming faerie princess,” which raises the question of what might have happened to the previous Queen—untimely death, abdication, or something else?).
c) Faeries don’t die of old age, but after a certain point they leave Neopia in some manner.
Perhaps they abandon their physical forms and ascend to a higher plane of existence, or merge back with the natural magic of Neopia, or something… which seems a lot like death, actually, depending on one’s spiritual beliefs. Or maybe faeries have a retirement home on a planet next door (though that really just kicks the overpopulation can down the road).
d) Faeries don’t die of old age, don’t disappear from Neopia, and are, at some point, going to have to grapple with the whole overpopulation issue.
Digging too deeply into that train of thought could get a bit more dystopian than I’d necessarily like from a petsite, but hey, there it is.
Tumblr media
"What a depressing topic..."
6. Leaving aside future concerns about faerie overpopulation—how many faeries are there, anyways?
There isn’t a solid answer for the whole of Neopia, but the Neopedia does give a few specific numbers that could be used.
The “A Dark Faerie” and “A Light Faerie” articles both have estimated populations for dark and light faeries—25,000 for dark faeries, and 33,000 for light faeries.
If we were to take those numbers and extrapolate them for the other elements—the mean of those two numbers is 29,000, so for this exercise we’ll assume that’s a reasonable average for each element—we’d get around 174,000 faeries in Neopia.
However, that is definitely not the total population, because there’s another source of faerie population data: the Neopedia article for Faerieland.
According to that Neopedia article, the total population of Faerieland is 1,620,000, 80% of which is composed of faeries. 80% of 1,620,000 is 1,296,000 total faeries—and that’s just in Faerieland; there are also faeries living outside of Faerieland (though the ratio of non-Faerieland faeries to Faerieland faeries is unknown).
Still, this leaves us with a few options:
a) Normal option: Whoever wrote the Faerieland Neopedia article simply didn’t use the numbers from the “A Dark Faerie” and “A Light Faerie” articles (which is fair enough; it’s not like those population numbers were a vital part of Neopets lore that would cause issues if retconned) Besides, other aspects of those articles are a bit outdated anyways--the dark faerie article straight-up says that dark faeries are evil (vs. the current canon that they can be good or evil, like any other faerie).
b) Hilarious option #1: The population numbers in the “A Dark Faerie” and “A Light Faerie” articles were accurate to the state of Neopia at the time the articles went live, but the faerie population has exploded exponentially in the years between those articles and the Faerieland article. How or why this could have happened is anyone’s guess, but now faeries have a massive Baby Boom generation.
c) Hilarious option #2: The population numbers in “A Dark Faerie” and “A Light Faerie” are accurate; dark and light faeries are extremely outnumbered by faeries of every other element.
If we were to assume that literally every dark and light faerie lives in Faerieland (demonstrably not the case, but let’s roll with it for now), then that’s a total of 1,238,000 faeries who are neither dark nor light vs. 58,000 total who are. Assuming a relatively-even population distribution between earth, air, fire, and water (though you could argue that there’d be a lower ratio of water faeries, as given that they have mermaid tails instead of legs they’d likely prefer to live in… well… the water), then that’s around 309,500 faeries of each of the non light/dark elements, which would mean there were a little over 9 faeries of any other of the “main” elements for every light faerie, a little over 12 faeries of any of the other “main” elements for every dark faerie, and, grouping the dark/light and earth/air/fire/water elements together, a little over 21 non-dark/light faeries for every dark/light faerie.
But again—that’s only using Faerieland numbers. The numbers from the “A Dark Faerie” and “A Light Faerie” articles appear to be for all Neopia, so the ratios would be even more lopsided as long as there are significant populations of faeries outside of Faerieland (which is surely the case; I don’t think Balthazar is walking right into to Faerieland and bottling faeries in the streets).
Tumblr media
"Personally, I think we could use a few more of us around... but at least dark faeries are in the same boat."
But really, this one can probably be chalked up to those two older articles having relatively-arbitrary numbers slapped on them years before the Faerieland article was written and someone having to ask themselves "hey, Faerieland seems like a pretty big city... what's a reasonable population?"
