Ok, hear me out. The Fellowship of the Ring is on their way to Mordor, but decide to go through the Mines of Moria, the city of the Dwarves. They learn that the city fell to the orcs and as they quietly and precariously trekked through the darkness, they were startled by a glowing beast, the Balrog.

Now imagine that our favorite grey wizard is a frog… and the Balrog is a dragonfly.

This pattern depicts the epic battle between Gandalf and the Balrog, the iconic scene where Gandalf hollers, "You Shall Not Pass!"

European Wildcat kept group of hikers from leaving the Solling Tower

Police forces in Uslar, Lower Saxony, were called for an unusual operation. A group of 15 hikers visited the Solling Tower, an observation tower at the highest peak of the Strutberg in the Solling range of mountains. When they wanted to leave, they encountered a European wildcat, similar in appearance to a house cat, but a bit larger with bushier fur, which had sat down on the stairs at the foot of the tower, furiously hissing at the hikers. The hikers were afraid of passing the angry cat and couldn't think of another solution but call the police. Officers of the Uslar police station were able to chase the cat away, enabling the hikers to safely leave the tower. The responsible forest warden was informed, who agreed to try to suggest a move to the wildcat – outside the area of the Solling Tower – the police said.
