you comply easily, sniffling a little before smiling both at osamu and the food. "'t's good."

he's already got one of the onigiri ready for you in one hand, water in the other as he reassures you—"always will be for ya."

made him very soft here. as i always do. but depending on the situation/your relationship, he might tease you when he first sees you coming down the stairs—sneezing and sniffling then calling his name with a rasp in your voice. osamu cooking up/buying your cravings... sometimes you feel bad, but to be fair he asked if you have any first. he's offering. stop avoiding his question. from the store like 20 minutes away? that's fine, he'll be back quick, don't set any fires while he's gone

the first time you ask him to feed you he's soo flustered. tries to play it off like What? Are you a baby? and even after all this time, though he won't admit it, he still gets a little shy when you thank him too much for it hebdbdsjd

I don't know if it's occurred to anyone recently, that the real/biggest reason that Lex Luthor felt like an alien while growing up in Smallville wasn't just that he was extremely intelligent (to an admittedly astronomical degree), but mainly due to the fact that he was hypersensitive, struggled to connect with people unless he felt they were very similar to him and was basically socially inept, all likely due to a possibly undiagnosed neurological condition (your guess is as good as any).

I feel like it's been heavily implied for a while now in certain Superman works that Lex may have literally been on the autism spectrum or have grown up with a related condition. Combine that with super genius intellect, a deeply ingrained sense of superiority and entitlement as well as emotional growth-stunting abuse, and you have a recipe for the perfect completely unstable, super villain catastrophe.

Likewise, I think it's been implied for a while now that Clark is also a representation of what being neurodivergent is like, but with the metaphor being made actual. Hence why he doesn't "feel like" an alien. He IS an alien. An alien that has had to mask what makes him different from others his entire life. With only those closest to him knowing the truth.

A perfect example of both of these concepts can be found in the first issue of the (technically...) on-going Superman miniseries Superman: The Last Days of Lex Luthor. (Same with its spiritual predecessor Superman: Birthright, if I'm being honest.)

What does anybody else think? It seems to me that only a few people at most have talked about any of this before, at least online.

adam bright is literally the worst father in scp canon it drives me insane. yeah mikell sucks but thats largely adams fault. according to code brown everyone is just chill with him being retired? at least half of his kids should want him dead minimum, let alone the rest of the family

YEAHGHHH ADAM. i think adminbrite GENUINELY does not realize exactly how shitty of a father adam is, which is fucking insane but the only conclusion we can possibly come to given how the narrative treats him. i think the serpent's hand brights dislike him but like. on principle because hes foundation aligned? this guy nearly killed his son at least once, to be clear, and evidently ruined his other son's ability to cope with the anomalous to the point where he destroyed his own family, and we havent read a whole lot of tales with him but this seems to be characteristic behavior and he just gets to go fish and be vaguely emo about how shitty of a dad he was but not in a way where he attempts to make amends or anything. un be fucking lievable
