What is Work Ethic
Photo by Bruce Mars I have looked at lousy management practices and what makes a good leader in previous articles. Also, I covered the issue in today’s society where meritocracy has died in the liberal West. My last article, “How to motivate unmotivated employees.” I went over why we need to motivate our teams. There are a few areas that directly affect motivation. Several more that get…

the years of experiencing Corporate Horrors and having moved into a role that is very like... strategy and planning oriented... has really meant that everyime i see some shit about the bioware-ea live service push pull and the (to me false) framing of datv as a 'failure' i can reeeeally see big picture what the narrative ea is trying to build here is. it's really a corporation(s) trying to manufacture consent with its audience (the wider gaming public) to push Mass Effect in a new direction that long time fans likely won't be thrilled about. They want to (probably) move away from the story oriented game and into live service and are likely using datv as a scapegoat to build consensus that this is a good idea. There's imo a really gross corporate strategic play happening here. (This happens a lot though, small building blocks to push an audience in the direction a company wants to go. This is jusssst very out in the open.)

i hate feeling ambitionless aimless the future is so bleak
#this is about me not the events#i really don't think i have a plan lol and i ever will...#because all through school i had this thing. need to pass this unit test this half yearly this 2nd unit test final exams need to do this#cocurricular activity and the absolute relief when i flipped the report to see i was promoted every year. that was the aim right#now i don't know what's happening#a set set of friends i met everyday sat next to permanent place in the field where we had lunch. like?#it was all so permanent#i knew teachers did not like me or how people there felt about me#and i think a lot of it comes from the fact that i never changed schools#14 years in the same place then one random tuesday it ends everything ends and im supposed to start from scratch#losing friends was all my fault but goddddddf. i used to be good at things#like when i was in 10th grade i gave my everything to studying maths because mom threatened me that if do not get science here we'll change#your school#to wherever you get science#so i studied like crazy did not touch my phone for months and got science#like that is my level of attachment to that place#i just miss it so much probably more than my own home#and i can't belong anywhere because i'm so stuck and nothings good enough and i miss being good and being academically productive#it was my only win i think#this is so sad but i don't think i'll ever get that past work ethic back and it will never be good enough for me to feel good about myself#which can only be through study or work because im a loser who thinks she's worthless if not for a successful career#and I've felt this way for three years now. it is going to be permanent#everything is lonely

Aside from my personal life issues and to those who think yibo rose to stardom because of cql need to get a life and maybe check their source of information again.
Yibo's been on the grind since he was 13 and he's been working hard on all his projects. It's true a lot of recent fans came to know him through cql because of the thai/korean bl/mdzs to cql road but yibo has other projects in all sorts of places whether is dancing, racing, acting or sports. Just check out produce 101, SDC or his content as tracer85.
Claiming to leave him and do protest just because he removed a five year old project from his bio is so pathetic. I swear all those people who are on the front lines of these protests only support him for their fanfic content and personal gains.

Nothing sets my brain going in dizzying circles of doubt quite like chiropractic.
There's something about how any treatment that has strong associations with being a "Miracle cure" automatically makes me wary, and yet many people do find instant relief after treatment. Three out of my own four appointments fell under the "instant relief" category, actually!
But also, most of the patients mum sees in her job as a receptionist for a chiropractor keep going back, week after week, some of them for years. They swear that it has changed their life, but... They're still going. They still need the adjustments. So then I have to wonder, is it the instant solution it's often touted as, or is it more accurately an ongoing treatment similar to HRT/antidepressants/antipsychotics/migraine prevention meds, etc.?
It certainly makes me uncomfortable that the chiropractor has never told me how to manage a problem on my own. The adjustments he's done to my hips made an instant improvement, but I had to ask him what i could do to strengthen the muscle myself, and he seemed genuinely surprised that I'd done so. Maybe I'm just used to physiotherapy. Maybe it's wrong of me to expect that kind of treatment from chiropractic. Maybe that was just that specific chiropractor's way, and others do things differently.
The fourth time I went, I'd woken up in horrendous pain from my right shoulder. I couldn't move that arm, or my neck. At that point, there is very very little that ""official"" (i.e., NHS) services can do. My course of action has always been to wait for the worst of the flare to pass, take painkillers, carefully do my physiotherapy exercises, and examine my environment/most recent activities to see what might've set it off. And then in a few days or weeks, the pain recedes and I get full range of motion back.
But this time, I accepted mum's suggestion for an appointment with the chiropractor. He kindly squeezed me in in his last slot before lunch. He talked to me, he was attentive and accepting, and he worked with me to find out the source of the problem. His answer was acupuncture, which, okay... I'd never had it before, but I'd white-knuckled the car journey there, so I may as well. And it worked! Or at least, it relaxed me enough that my muscles were no longer in spasm. I felt like I'd turned to water, actually. It was pretty nice.
Then he did the standard adjustment.
It was instant relief – until we were partway home and i realised that the pain had just moved to a different place. I don't know if he made the problem worse; the pain was different, but it also eased off in the usual week and there were no lasting side-effects. I got back into my physio routine. I reconfigured my desk. I haven't been back to the chiropractor since.
All this is on my mind because my shoulder pain is in a flare up again. I've had flares since that fourth chiropractor visit and I've always got though them, but this one is very bad. I keep seriously considering booking an appointment, then pulling myself back. It might be an answer. It might just create more problems. I don't know.

The Grind Never Stops: How Work Ethic Defines Success
You’ve probably heard a lot of motivational speeches about success and hard work. But let’s be real—some people just don’t want to put in the effort. 🙅‍♂️ I’ve seen it firsthand: people who don’t want to make calls, who avoid tough tasks, and simply can’t be bothered to grind. And guess what? That’s the exact reason some people succeed while others don’t. 💡
The Work Ethic That Separates Winners 🏅
Here’s the thing—every successful person I know is a workaholic. They don’t just dabble in their work; they go all in. They’re relentless in their pursuit of success, and they don’t complain when things get tough. 💪 They have thick skin, and they know how to push through adversity. 📈
If you’re serious about building something great, you need to develop this kind of work ethic. Not just showing up, but truly giving it your all. No shortcuts, no complaints, just a mindset focused on results. 🚀
Surviving the Tough Times 🌪️
Let me tell you, I’ve been to the brink in my business. I’ve faced moments where I thought everything was going to collapse. 😩 It’s been a rollercoaster of challenges and victories, but the only way I’ve survived—and even thrived—was by adopting an insane work ethic.
In the past six months, I’ve grown more than I did in the years before. That’s not an accident—it’s the result of intense focus, relentless effort, and pushing through, no matter how tough things got. 🌟
The Bottom Line 📝
If you want to succeed, you need to be prepared for the grind. There’s no secret formula, no magic bullet—it’s all about work. The ones who make it to the top? They’re the ones who keep going, no matter how many obstacles stand in their way. 🌱
So, let’s embrace the grind, push past the challenges, and work like there’s no tomorrow. Because at the end of the day, work ethic is what separates the winners from the rest. 🔥
