I love all handmade stuff, but before I started knitting, I always wondered why folks poured so much time and energy into making stuff that looks exacly like what youd buy at a store.

It very quickly hit me: store- bought stuff SUCKS. Handmade stuff RULES.

The kinds of stitches used, the thickness/ quality of yarn, even the dimensions of the item itself are just so shitty and cheap on mass- produced clothing. Once you know what youre looking at, you can see that its made to be worn and disposed of within a year. But that handmade brown sweater? That sucker weighs 3x what a store bought sweater weighs. Its softer, it has better stretch and even with messier seams, its STRONGER. It can survive a trathalon, a hop over a barbed- wire fence, and a minor nuclear explosion.

So hats off to all of the more stubtle fiberworks artists out there, your bulletproof crafts are magnificent.

It was a well-known secret that Jonathan Byers sold Steve Harrington’s photos at cutthroat prices to the students of Hawkins High.

People wanted to get mad at it but a picture of shirtless Steve in tiny green shorts was enough to silence their protests.

Although his buyers ranged from all genders, Jonathan wasn’t surprised at all. Because he, too, was a victim of that Harrington Charm—the very reason he had started collecting every picture of Steve in the first place.

His side business was just a front for him to do so without being harrassed by Tommy H. who, ironically, was one of his regulars.

And why was it a well-known secret?

Well, because Steve had no idea about it.

In a rare sense of solidarity, the whole school had joined forces and done their best to keep their king out of the loop.

(Even Eddie ‘The Freak’ Munson—who loved to run his mouth—seemed to understand the gravity of the situation and managed to keep the secret.)

Jonathan had never enjoyed photography more in his life.

When Steve eventually figured it out, he was surprisingly willing to let Jonathan take more… audacious photos of him.

Suffice to say, the profit had skyrocketed once Jonathan found the right group of customers.

(i.e. Eddie Munson had paid for the Bunny Collection with three bags of weeds, Tommy H. had paid a hefty amount for more Stockings, and Billy Hargrove kept coming back for Higheels & Lipstick.)

Prowl is a lot more hot headed than his canon counterpart. He still loves art and nature, but he is more passionate and aggressive in his expression. He’s blunt and irreverent, most likely in the team to actually talk shit about high command. If it weren’t for how isolated the space bridge crew was, they’d be giving him mad side eye.

He still got captured for draft dodging and was sent to the cyber ninja corps. Yoketron groomed him to take over the corps, and Prowl kept a lid on his reservations in order to avoid the consequences of being unfaithful to the autobot cause. However, when Yoketron showed Prowl the protoforms, Prowl was faced with undeniable proof that the autobots have complete control over the lives of all mechs, bringing them online for the sole purpose of sending them straight to training and war. Enraged by the abuse against life itself, Prowl kills Yoketron and then flees. Lockdown comes for the protoforms later, and he has mad respect for the mech who made his job a whole lot easier.

(Don’t worry about the protoforms, they’re fine. The decepticons are working on a way to start life without vector sigma or the allspark but at least the autobots cant keep sending newsparks to the horrors.)

Jazz meets the fabled golden student only to find out he’s the traitor who killed Yoketron… and I think Prowl and Lockdown would get along a lot better than in canon. They already worked well together, but now their ideals align a lot better. I imagine Lockdown was a courier in the early war, and he did a delivery for the Decepticons bc they pay well and Lockdown was in a desperate situation. At that point he just kept working for the decepticons, and started taking parts from captured autobots to replace the parts he loses in skirmishes. He had to get really good on giving himself emergency treatment in the field.

I know that it's common fanon belief to see Starlo as the younger sibling between him and Orion, but I actually like the idea of Starlo being the older brother and what it means for his family dynamic. Generally, the older sibling is expected to be the more responsible and mature sibling in the family. There's this expectation that the older sibling sets an example for the younger sibling(s) and that they'll look after the family/business once the parents get too old to do so themselves. So, what does it mean when the older sibling sorta betrays those familial expectations by behaving immaturely and ditching the family to do their own thing?

I'm trying to figure out how to put this into words in a clear and concise way, but I feel like if it's a case of Starlo being the younger brother, then there's this sorta "Ah, that's just the younger brother acting like a kid, y'know how it is. He'll grow out of it" dynamic, whereas if Starlo is the older brother, then it's more of a "Okay, he should've grown out of this by now, why's he still acting like this? Even Orion is more mature than him; what is going on?" sorta deal. (This frustration would be especially felt by Orion, who has to pick up Starlo's slack in his stead because his older brother isn't mature enough to work like he's supposed to!!!)

These are just personal musings, don't take my word as gospel! You can still do tons of interesting things with the Sunnyside family while having Starlo be the younger brother and Orion the older one. I just find myself gravitating more towards seeing Starlo as the older sibling.
