Slow Down:

Originally when we heard the snippet for it, I figured it wasn’t going to be my favorite song on the ep, but I absolutely love this song!

Favorite lyric: I lay awake at night, feeling like I’m behind.

The song itself, the melodies and lyrics are so mystical, looking into the future while reminding yourself to stay in the now while also reflecting on the past is so beautiful. Plus, the use of seasons within the song and the play on words “the summer will spring up on you again”. The writing in this song is absolutely amazing.

2. Kind of Love:

Remember when we thought KOL and “total disconnection” were different songs?

Favorite lyric: Even when you’re far away, next to me is where you’ll stay.

This song is so sweet and lovey-dovey and adorable.

The softer words and instrumentals, I can easily imagine this song in the background of a coming-of-age movie. Like those cheesy ones where the main character gets in trouble/caught in a lie in the middle of the moving and has to make amends with his friends/family and there’s musical component for the amendment montage in the last 30-40 minutes of the movie before everyone forgives him in the end.

3. Paranoid:

Gives me Olivia Rodrigo vibes during the verses/pre-chorus. Which I love! It’s so sassy and fun. It’s also more upbeat musically than the other songs for sure. Which helps to play into the “paranoia” and the “mind racing” aspects of the song.

Favorite Lyric: I can’t stop hearing you, so can you kill the noise.

I just hate how short the song is! I need more of it!

4. Spotlight:

Absolutely fuck me up! My favorite song on the ep for sure! I just can’t begin to say how much I love this song. Like I’m blushing while listening to this. I feel this song is not meant for my ears. Like when you walk in on a couple kissing. Like I’m not allowed in on this private moment between Dream and his lover. (It’s George btw)

His voice in this song is AMAZING! Also, you can totally hear him smiling while he’s singing the chorus.

Favorite Lyric: A celebrity in my head, a superstar in my bed

Of course, I love this song, it’s the dream team song.

Also, I’ve never heard Yung Gravy rap before this, and I dig his tone.

TBH I cannot for the life of me pinpoint George’s vocals since Sapnap’s stand out to me. But everyone I see says they can hear George and I wanna find a video where they isolate the vocals.

6. Invincible (like u):

Does it make me think of my mom? Yes, it does.

Am I crying? Also, yes.

Favorite lyric: Might lose, but you never quit.

I guess Dream just has main character disease because I can picture this song in a movie too. But like a band movie where the main character sings the song after a fight with his parents. (Like Unsaid Emily from Julie and the Phantoms).

I just can’t even begin to express how much I adore Dream, how much I love this EP, and can’t wait to hear what he comes up with next. His talent in music has for sure evolved since Roadtrip and it’s so worth it. His dedication to his craft is breathtaking. He’s so inspiring and amazing. I honestly just want more already. I’m insatiable when it comes to Dream, his voice, his story telling, everything. I am also just so proud of him. mimi oh my goodness where do i begin😭😭😭😭😭😭 so i have been soooo busy with work and school that i didn’t catch up with iwyts since like chapter 10. and now i’m free and i’ve read up to chapter 13 and GOSHHHHH my love for them increases and increases each chapter. the slowburn, the angst, the tears and sad moments were built so beautifully and i love every bit of it. the yearning felt so real and everything was worth it because once chapter 13 came and they actually got together and confessed everything, i felt so much relief and satisfaction. they finally kissed passionately and moreeee that we were waiting for. and they were being so domestic and loving that i felt it through the screen lolll. i cant wait to read the next but final chapter😭😭😭i’m gonna miss them

I was originally worried that it would drag on long lol yknow how in some kdramas they get together in episode 9 of a 12-ep series 😂 but I wanted to establish a lot of things that would carry over to season 2! But even if it doesn’t continue, there’s a lot of emotions and musings to pore over. And it’s satisfying right! When they finally get together and they just get to express everything. this was a hugely livia-centric episode and even though i love my main gal, i was disappointed that we didn't see more of what was happening in germany + antonia & drusus content :/

i don't have as much to say as usual because this episode felt a bit like a filler episode! yes, we see livia mess around with the wills but the implications of that won't come into play till next season and while what happened in germany was important, we didn't see nearly enough of it. there's three episodes left in the season now and i'm really hoping we get to see more of the younger generation, particularly tiberius and drusus and ESPECIALLY drusus since he also only has three episodes left ://

i would love to see more scenes with drusus and antonia as i feel like the show has only scratched the surface. i think things will kick off in earnest next episode since we'll be saying goodbye to agrippa! i expect there will be a considerable time jump next ep since this episode is 16 BC and agrippa dies in 12 BC (we know from stills that little agrippina will be present so again, time jump seems likely) so hopefully, as sad as next episode will be (im REALLY not ready to say goodbye to agrippa and ben jo batt), i'm hoping a decent amount of screentime will be dedicated to catching up with what's happened with everyone over the time jump. for those interested in drusus + antonia's relationship, germanicus was born in 15 BC so we may see him appear in episode 6!

ill be honest with you faiza. i truly dont want be negative but i dont think sungho will ever choose junseong. even if he says hes indecisive between him and seonwoo, he'll always choose seonwoo in the end as long as he keeps giving him any hope. and im not saying sungho doesnt like junseong, they clearly get along so well, even if nothing else happens their relationship as friends or something else makes my heart warm, anyone can see it, but he keeps saying that since he's never had a chance to be on a date with him he doesn't know but they've been together so many times... they were roommates too...

it breaks my heart because you can see that since the beginning junseong has never lied and has never jumped between people. his heart has always been in the same direction and he has never played with anyones feelings, truthfully he's i think the only person, or at least the one i respect the most in that house.

you can also see that he himself has no hopes either, he's like "i dont think he'll choose me but ill pursue him anyway because that's just how much i like and feel for him". there's also that scene where he cries and i know the trailer is edited in a way where the context for most scenes is all wrong but... to see him cry, i can tell it's not because of something good. i hate to see someone im rooting for going after someone that might never show any interest in them, it hurts a bit to see. (this is not me hating on sungho!! love that cutie but i just dont know...i know he's not trying to be hurtful on purpose its just how these things are)

i try to not get involved in dating shows because these things never go well but maybe its because im queer too and i feel different about a dating show dedicated to queer people. and maybe its also because i just feel for junseong and i just want him to be happy but im truly nervous about the next episodes... im sorry to just write so much about this to you but i started watching this because of you so you should feel responsible!

oh anon, i know what you mean. i truly do love junsung from the bottom of my heart. he's from one of the few people who have just. remained true and genuine. and its how much he likes sungho and how clear as day he is about it, but at the same time, never putting any stress or pressure on sungho. he's so selfless but will stand his ground and is determined and its everything you'd want.

and i get what u mean. theres this fear that all seunwoo has to do is give an inch and sungho will go to him. and that might happen. but, as of now, sungho said in ep 7 that he feels equally for them both. truth is it hurt seeing just how stressed sungho looked tbh. he doesnt want to hurt anyone with the decisions he makes and none of it comes from a place of malice.

but i also wanna say that sungho isnt naive. he isnt stupid. he clearly can read seunwoo and junsung and their body language so well. he observes it all. and he's starting to notice seunwoo for the people pleaser that he is. and at some point sungho's got to make that call of what it is he wants to go for, but he isnt stupid. so, yeah, i havent given up hope on 2sung just yet, not at all. we're only halfway through the show!

what we are all certain on is that junsung will keep fighting till the end for sungho's affection.

and i also feel like saying that, yeah, the phonecalls are a huge part of the show, but they arent the be all and end all. i know we're all, just like junsung, waiting for sungho to choose junsung and ring him, but there's so so much sungho has done and shown outside of that that shows his feelings towards junsung. and i think that matters just as much. the notes, the choosing junsung as his roommate again, all the little things in episode 7 between them, there is so much warmth and genuine affection sungho has towards junsung too. and that keeps junsung going, makes it worth it bc sungho is giving something back to him too.

of course, its sungho's call to make at the end of the day, but i wouldnt get disheartened just yet!

hear we go. ep 6. some of my thoughts and views will be based on the show and the books. i'm watching the uncut version of bl factory now and...thoughts. warnings of abuse. something like a review, more like my thoughts. i like the show either way.

alright, we open up with the wipe down scene again. i'll take some more gazing and longing. okay, day in the shower. clothes on. water going. flashes of memories. moody.

next morning. day has breakfast for ready for itt.

itt is an emotional ball of emotions and i sorta love him for it.

they love each other. they like the relationship. i kinda ship it, i kinda am still thinking about the exit plan. not more then i'm enjoying it. alas.

ah, day is holding itts hand and itt is all smiles. all because day sat with him. lmao. he wakes up holding nicks hand. ask about day. night walks in with food. he wants day.

this show is funny. itt complains about eating. we get that sudden death music and day appears, rather sternly telling itt he has to eat and take his medicine. omg. day. stop being fussy. itt is looking all sad and pouty, but he's eating. two bites.

i love nick. i love itts pouts. he says he can't eat more but....cake has appeared. cake being carried by neil. day doesn't remember the layers of cake. he just he just felt like it. itt is happy to have cake.

a mix of tears and happy. day is shocked by the reaction. itt really does love cake. i love nick.

ah, day feeds itt the cake...and man. he bodies it. day is shocked. honestly, maybe a little scared.

we're having a moment on the bed. itt says he doesn't want day to drive race cars. day says they make a deal. he gives up racing and itt gives up cake. day ask if itt loves him that bad. day says he's being terrible to him. itt says its because he can't remember, everything will go back to normal when he does.

day ask if it that never happens. itt says he'll get his man again. oo. a touch to the cheek. day says he has confidence and itt smiles. itt his horny. he wants his mans lips.

omg. ball has appeared again. visit with ball goes as one would expect. day is on 0 or he's on 100. nick told ball. i think night invited ball. bc night is messy. so is nick tho.

next morning. day wakes up alone. goes downstairs and night tells him itt is watering the plants. omg. he actually waters the plants. it was actually one of his chores. do u know i thought this boy was just saying whatever. sobbing. either way, itt tells day about their day to day. life.

his life is dedicated by day. only a few things he was allowed to do. either way. itt was happy with it so. i guess.

but day is reflecting on it and itt speaks bout it with much love and longing. day is his life. toxic or not.

day is having quiet emotions. frank is a pretty sad boy.

they're driving and day is fussing. tip him over.

anyway, we've arrived at the barber shop. bale, belle...her. she's great. just extra. but she's her. live your life girl. day is not impressed but he'd be offended at a bird flying so whatever. they're unpacking, so staying for a day or two. itt gets a phone call and no says anything. he wonders if it's a scam call.

market visit isn't going well. day is being an ass. his whole 'have itt depend on me for everything' thing is blowing up in his face. he says that itt needs to be able to do something for himself. he says what he if he dies.

omg. please do not trigger the boy. saying you'd die is more triggering than telling him you won't dedicate his life anymore. day walks off, itt has a chat with belle. she's trying to comfort him.

we're back at the car. time to leave the market. itt APOLOGIZES. okay but the music. i guess its all good. itt apologized and day is smiling so. win? oh, the 3rd party from the pool scene is back. like y. day does his boyfriend thing. he out-right calls itt his boyfriend. itt fawns. i worry for this man because this day has no chill.

3rd party leaves, promising to come to the shop.

we cut to the trio cooking in the kitchen. day is jealous. belle is enjoying it, so is itt. me too i guess. this is like my comfort so tho its lowkey stressful and i want to tip day over. day giving little commands and itt eating it up. im sick. im sick bc i love it. day fixing his apron. he ask what can he do and itt is just like. yes. this what i want.

he is baby girl. oh. flashback time. day is cooking. itt is allowed to do a few things in the kitchen. cute couple being cute and domestic. we'll let this scene make the happy couple loop. day grabbing the back of itt's neck as he is so fond of.

also itt has this flashback while looking at an onion. btw

and then day gets a headache and flashes of memory. just about falls the fuck out. he has a flash back of them tasting the food. in present time, he ask about the dish and everyone is happy he can recall bits of memory.

it cuts himself. and day over reacts. calm down boy. its a cut. actually, belle you calm down too. it is a cut. he will live. i am so upset everyone is reacting like this. day pranks itt. i actually wouldn't call it a prank. bell says he as sadistic as always. which true. ya'll should've seen his smile.

then 3rd party appears. its funny. day threatens murder. belle prevents murder but also ends up wanting to threaten murder. why do 3rd parties keep showing up. day and itt share a cute look at each other and look away.

i think he would've killed the man. day is pissed. another man comes in. again. the show is gold. he's a vip customer. he pays everyone money. itt takes day's money. as he should actually.

belle and the customer leave and then itt and day just take a moment to rub noses and be cute. itt is flirty. oh okay, oh okay. days love of the throat grab appears again. itt probs just came in his pants. i saw it on his face. the way days hand traveled up his neck, plus the grab. his eyes went closed.

the door has windows yall. they just rub noses.

we're at a dinner scene. we have day, itt, belle and two of the employees. one of them says the party reminds them of their bday dinner. belle says it was hot. day wants to know what was up. itt doesn't want to tell but belle, she's ready to tell the story.

we then cut to day and itt walking into their bedroom in the shop. day is risky, itt pushed on the bed. oh la? la? oh my gosh, cut to them landing on the floor. end ep.

i rly enjoy it when there are hints to specific monster schools outside of monster high that cater to one kind of monster. i couldnt quite makeout what the twins were saying but it sounded like "meowton academy"? i remember in g1 there was some stuff abt dracula wanting to send draculaura to a vampire specific academy iirc. i like details like that because like for one thing i like knowing there are other academic options in the monster world besides this one school, plus it sorta established monster high as a place thats notable for its inclusion of multiple different species learning together under one roof which feels in line with like the core messaging of the series and would both make sense for why young monsters might want to go there over other schools, as well as for why older monsters more set in their ways might be antsy about sending their kids there if they hadnt graduated from there themselves.

My skin has been cleared, my assignments finished, my anxiety cured.... AND ALL BC I WATCHED THIS SHOW

Now, I know I already talked about the intro last week... BUT IF FUCKING SLAPS. The animation? Top tier. The symbolism? Outstanding. The song? An absolute bop.

Also, can we talk about how cute Anya is??? Like when she showed Yor the apartment <3 <3 <3 It just warms a part of my heart that I thought was dead...

And like Yor going along with it and indulging in Anya's excitement... She is best mom and I will not hesitate to fight anyone who says otherwise.

This show is so fucking funny. I swear the relationship between Loid and Anya has me dead on the floor (just look at Anya being the adorable kid she is....).

Okay, so I already talked about how good of a mom Yor is.... but like Loid is just as excellent of a parent as she is. THE DEDICATION of decorating Anya's room, THE SPY POSTER, THE PLUSHIES. Endo is a criminal for giving us Loid and expecting us not to obsess over him, smh.

Them as a family, just them. Istg like how can they be so fucking cute??? Slice of life can get SO boring if the characters are plain but this show manages to make the most mundane shit sooooo entertaining.

I'm sorry, I had to discuss the family portrait. I just adore Anya's and Yor's expressions like they really don't know how to behave as a family. Whereas Loid aka veteran spy is having a crisis over how impossible the mission will be. The dinamics in this anime are just fucking fantastic.

- that shit is like breathing to him, we saw how easy it was for him in this ep

- and man, did he work hard to get strong. Obvs his talent had a lot of potential, but I think it took him more practice to get as good as he is than the other high tiers. Idk. Clearly they worked hard to, esp blyke, but idk. He seemed to dedicated to it, like Blyke was (is?)

- and the fact that his power increased by a whole number (I think) when he didn't use it or practice for more than two years is impressive

- um, this was supposed to be short idk where all this came from

- anyway, John in the end? Omg. Those last few panels were so fuckin badass.

- like actually, goddamn. I so sorry we didn't get to see the rowden royals faces

- I wonder when the rest of the gang will show up (we need a name for all six of them together, no super six is not acceptable)

Lol to add to ep 250, I found it fucking halarious when they were like "where did that kid come from? He's so POWerfuL" (talking about Blyke) when there were literally four other people, one of whom was standing right there, that are stronger than Blyke. Like their king was probably as strong as Zeke.

At first I was trashing the rowden royals for being so cocky despite being weak, but I realized that legit no one around could fight them. Granted there were four of them, but they were acting super powerful despite prolly being below/around 5. (we're gonna get their stats and I'm gonna so off) Prolly they dominate their turf wars. Which really shows us how freakin insane Wellston is. High tiers are rare, and two god tiers in one place is probably unheard of.

On the flip side, maybe whatever authorities were there had the power to stop them but couldn't be bothered? And obvs the bystander effect was taking place but to think that there wasn't a single person stronger than them?? (Yeah ik people were just being cowards and there probably was someone as strong as them somewhere in the crowd but still) Wellston really is hella op.
