��Do you miss playing quidditch?” Remus asked during a quiet moment in front of the fire. If Sirius didn’t want to discuss it he’d drop the subject, but he’d gotten the sense lately that Sirius was growing nostalgic, and he didn’t know if Sirius needed to talk it out. 

Sirius looked away from the fire to meet Remus’ eyes for a moment before he got caught up in watching the fire again. 

Remus almost thought he wouldn’t respond, but after a pause Sirius blew out a breath. 

“I miss competition. I mean I fly with James and Marlene all the time and they let me play as the Beater, so that’s fun in its way. But I miss the thrill of the pressure of a game. I miss watching the crowd go wild for our team. I miss the high fives and the hugs after the fact. I miss the camaraderie of being a part of something.”

He turned to face Remus. 

“Thanks for asking. I miss it, but I’m okay. Helped to say it out loud though. I couldn’t really bother James with it, but thank you for listening and thanks for letting me bother you instead.”

Remus shook his head and squeezed Sirius’ hand. 

“Not a bother. Never a bother.”

Sirius smiled and squeezed back. 

“I know that. Thank you Moony.”

Remus’s heart stuttered, and horror filled him. He didn’t know what he was supposed to do, if maybe he should leave and never return.

He had been lying through omission; Sirius must be angry.

“Because I wanted you to know that if you are,” Sirius said, “it’s okay. And I… love you.”

“How can you love a werewolf?”

Sirius smiled.

“You’re important to me,” he said.

Remus wanted to believe him; he just didn’t know if he should.

I am so pleased to be honest! Not only has Wolfster, from the get-go, given my invaluable information about how to structure comics and SO MANY tips and tricks to think about. She made me an entire google drive document FULL of stuff!

I am still the owner of this comic, make no mistake! I am the only creator, writer and artist. What Wolfster will be doing is basically what she has done from the start, help me edit the layout to be the best reader experience! Also, side note! I do plan to post it on comic reading platforms at some point, of course the Patreon will always get first look as well as behind the scenes updates. But having a credited editor will make the comic look more legit once I do get to that stage!
