#WoF octopus

Congrats on turtle for being the first WoF character for me to draw twice specifically for posting

Not entirely sure about this one. I really like the lineart and the designs themselves are okay but I feel like I could have done something more different for the rendering.

Anyways here’s some stuff about these goobers

-Octopus is the “bigwings” (even though Seawings technically do not have bigwings) of the clutch, and typically the leader of the gang with his size and smarts

-Studies architecture, also likes puzzles a lot

-All tribes have some ability to change colors (though, Rainwings are by far the best). Octopus has an unusually high amount of scales that can change color for a Seawing (e.g, he can change his patterns up or change the overall tint of his scales).

-Cerulean enjoys making pottery (an art form not traditionally pursued by Seawings) and, unusually for a Seawing, prefers being on dry land rather than in the water.

-Has a Sandwing BF who was a POW from Burn’s army but is now free. They use there fire breath as kiln for his pottery.

-Fin is the “runt” of the clutch. He is so small that he is often mistaken for being a member of a younger clutch, even by his own mother.

-He has a lot of spunk and sass to him; like a less annoying Qibil. His brothers would always pick on him for being small when he was younger, but he gave that attitude right back.

Daily dragon!! Indigo having a moment with Blob. More playing with poses!! Sorta. I wanted something between sitting and standing and I think I managed it. Also the like, headturn. I'm still figuring that one out which is a shame because I use it everywhere

Rainwings are a bit like octopuses, as in when they dream. Rapidly changing colors and such trying to mimic the scenery in their dreams.

Every day I wake up and think about the difference in the two animus enchanted wooden carvings in Darkstalker Legends

Going under the assumption that Blob is still alive in the present day, here are some cool/cute/funny ideas I came up with:

Blob has a cool new timeskip design where he now resembles aged driftwood. Maybe he has some neat moss or something as an accessory.

Turtle discovers him washed up on a beach somewhere and immediately takes him in. Blob mistakes Turtle for Fathom at first, but eventually comes to appreciate him in his own right.

Since Winter already studies intelligence in Scavengers, it's only natural that he discovers Blob is about as intelligent as a dragonet and teaches him how to read and write to communicate.

Blob likes to make crayon drawings for dragons he likes.

Blob can sense animus magic and has an immediate attachment to all animi. (note: I always operate under a rewrite where animus magic is a little bit different and it never got blown up in the microwave.)

Through some wacky series of events, Blob ends up stumbling across and making friends with Stonemover. Stonemover immediately becomes attached to this weird little creature and accumulates a pile of Blob's drawings.

I had a head cannon that other nightwings followed clearsight to pantala to make it seem less incesty but aghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

I need to like dissect wof genetics and or make my own rules for genetics and then make designs based on those rules

We got hybrids usually look more like their mom, that's one rule (which is kinda realistic cuz of how tigons and ligers work)

But does skywing red override skywing orange? Are they both dominant genes? I assume yellow must be resseive since few are described with it

Green hive is also resseive probably and so is seawing purple ??? Sea wing pink could be recessive but both of anemones parents would need to carry it, which would mean more of her siblings should have it but they dont (i head cannon octopus being a dark pink color cuz idk that's just how he appeared to me while reading but he has no cannon description so)

The top left one is a sculpture of my favorite hero and main in Mobile Legends: Bang Bang (yeah…. i play it once in a while) Barats (and his dino Detona)!! It’s of his Toy Rex skin, I love him so much <3 I didnt make his rockets though

the octopus and nine-tailed fox were made around the same time when i had an art teacher

i love them <3 the ninetailed fox is kinda wonky haha

these two are foxes i think? or wolves, the silver one’s name is… Silver (i think) (very original i know) and i forgot the white one’s name, probably Snow or some shit 😭

there was another one, a golden-brown one with a red bandanna but idk where he went and his head got decapitated, his name was Lucky i think??? i did NOT know how to name things, also he was like the leader of their group 😭😭

my dragon that I made in 2021 or 2022!! i hated painting them but i love how its so light because i made it out of armature wire wrapped in tinfoil on the meaty parts and covered it in clay, very easy to transport, its lighter than the catnessa sculpture

also funny thing is that i finished painting it (gave up and just called it a day) last year around the time as i made the croc because i gave up on painting it all in 2022, the bottom was mostly white because i didnt paint it, the eyes i gave up on, etc

its kinda like an icewing from wof with its spikes, but i just created a regular ol european dragon

and finally the dragon something pot pet (i forgot the name but we had to make one) i made in third grade 💀

dont make fun of him guys 😭😭 at least you can put water into his mouth and itll go into the pot thingy

its really bad but i love him

[Wings of Fire] Trans Headcanons

Hello! Something different today. I missed trans day of visibility yesterday due to being away at a conference but I wanted to still make a post with some trans headcanons for Wings of Fire characters since I have lots of them.

These are just my own headcanons and some are different than other people's so please don't get super defensive over these, they're just fun for me to make and everyone can believe what they want to believe.

And yes, it is a lot of characters. A while ago I decided that I would headcanon every WoF character to be LGBTQ+ in some compacity and recently I went back and gave many more of them trans headcanons.
