If you’re still taking art requests and feel in the mood … maybe something you’ve been dying to try with your favorite LU character?
@stormysprite thank you so so so much for your ask!! likewise, i am SO sorry for not responding until now; life has been super hectic!!
So, if you've seen/heard of EPIC: The Musical, this is a shameless reference to Open Arms 😅 The first time i was introduced to EPIC was actually because someone said they head-cannoned Wars voice as Odysseus, and i listened and thought "oh my goodness this is so accurate!" so when i heard Open Arms, i immediately thought of Wars and Sky. So i guess this is something i have been dying to try, since i thought of it the first time i heard the song!
As for my favorite LU character, i love them all equally, and couldn't pick a favorite despite thinking about it for a looonngggg time lol.
So, I have Wars looking a little surprised here, and you can interpret it one of two ways:
1: Wars is startled because Sky comes up behind him and points out that he is tense (Wars just wasn't expecting it)
2: Sky actually bursts into song and Wars is just like 0_0
Anyway, i hope you like it!!! thank you so much for your ask and i am so sorry for getting it done so late!! i hope you have a wonderful new year!! 😊🩵
i just realized that @mercurymoths did something similar to this too! you can find the incredible art here!! ✨ lol when two ppl have the same idea randomly you know it's at least a little accurate, right? 😂

“You are going to retreat!” Kaladin said, exasperated. “Look at your men, Kholin! They can barely keep their feet, let alone fight. You’re losing dozens by the minute. You need to get them out.”
“I won’t abandon my father,” Adolin said stubbornly.
“For the peace of … If you fall, Adolin Kholin, these men have nothing. Their commanders are wounded or dead. You can’t go to your father; you can barely walk! I repeat, get your men to safety!”

I love eow Zelda sm (spoilers ahead)
She has a healthy relationship with her dad and is 100% a daddy’s girl. She brings him plants. She has a mini model of her dream horse in her room. She jumped into a rift to save a single horse Impa raised for her. She makes massive piles of carrots and fish for the horses and cats she meets. She loves learning new things. She’s patient while Tri figures out what humans can or cannot do. She sprinted out of Castle Town when she was little because she wanted to see the world. She’d do anything for her people. They’d do anything for her. She loves cute outfits and accessories. She has matching pajamas with her best friend. None of her family/friends/subjects try to stop her from saving the world, because they know better than to question her determination. She’s gloriously feminine, and can throw down if needed. She knows those two things aren’t mutually exclusive. A stranger cracks her crystal prison before getting swallowed in a rift, and her first instinct isn’t “scream” or “panic”, it’s “smash the prison”. She learns all she can about her rescuer, trusts him, and develops a strong bond with him despite only seeing the real him twice (so far in where I’ve played). She’s a master of evasion. She executed a government-sanctioned heist. She’s absurdly creative. Smoothies/milkshakes are her favorite food. She has a cat who’s honor-bound to protect her room. She pets/feeds/talks to every animal she meets.
I just think she’s neat

thinking about this fic idea where yor and her coworkers are working a later shift. camilla and millie are talking about the nicknames their partners give them, and once they get bored they turn to yor, asking her what name she has for her husband. yor, confused, answers with "loid?"
camilla laughs, realises she's not joking, and then persuades yor to come up with her own nickname. "it can be anything, really," she says. "as long as it's cute."
yor, who's still confused, looks outside and she tries her best to think of a name. "the sky looks pretty today," she thinks. "isn't this time of the day called twilight?"
"is twilight a good nickname?" yor asks.
camilla and millie say yes, it's cute, and fawn over the name whilst yor can't wait to see what loid thinks about it.
twilight Spits Out His Drink™ when yor actually uses the nickname on him, nearly chokes, etc etc

The thing that makes Yor Forger an amazingly written female character isn't that she has strengths and weaknesses. It's that her strengths and weaknesses are complex, varied, and just so human. Like I feel like people think that to write a "girl boss empowerment" character, she needs to be great at everything or that she needs to be one thing or the other. Like she has to either be strong and smart or gentle and motherly.
Meanwhile, there's Yor. She actively struggles to assist her first grader with homework and can't cook, yet she is incredibly knowledgeable about biology because of her side gig and can make one heck of a stew. She can perform inhuman feats of strength and parkour her way across a city, yet she's a total lightweight and loses almost all her coordination when drunk. Speaking of being lightweight, despite that, she is immune to many poisons. She can't handle more than a glass and a half of chardonnay, but pufferfish poison feels like nothing more than advil to her. She struggles to socialize and sees herself as a poor candidate to be a mother, yet she is the only member of her family actually getting close to Twilight's target because of her kindness. Also, while Twilight/Loid can look and act like a picture-perfect father, it's Yor that actually knows how to raise a child and how to talk to children. Without her, Loid would be screwed.
Yor, despite being a paid killer, is the humanity of her family. Anya is a child who, even with the ability to read minds, knows so little of the world, Loid is a spy who prides himself on his ability to disguise himself among civilians but hasn't actually known what it's like to be one since he was a child, and Bond is a dog, a future seeing dog, but still a dog. Yor for all her social awkwardness is what truly sells the Forger family. With any other woman, the Forgers wouldn't work because there would always be a strange sense of uncanny valley around them. Too perfect father, a child who knows everything but understands nothing. It's only Yor that makes it all click. A slightly ditzy yet weirdly ominous maternal figure.

god, bodhi rook really is what star wars is all about contained in a single character. it’s about hope. it’s about doing what’s right even when it isn’t easy, even when it’s the hardest and scariest thing you’ve ever done. it’s about how it’s never too late to be a better version of yourself and that sometimes all you need is someone to believe you can be good.
