Congrats on turtle for being the first WoF character for me to draw twice specifically for posting

Not entirely sure about this one. I really like the lineart and the designs themselves are okay but I feel like I could have done something more different for the rendering.

Anyways here’s some stuff about these goobers

-Octopus is the “bigwings” (even though Seawings technically do not have bigwings) of the clutch, and typically the leader of the gang with his size and smarts

-Studies architecture, also likes puzzles a lot

-All tribes have some ability to change colors (though, Rainwings are by far the best). Octopus has an unusually high amount of scales that can change color for a Seawing (e.g, he can change his patterns up or change the overall tint of his scales).

-Cerulean enjoys making pottery (an art form not traditionally pursued by Seawings) and, unusually for a Seawing, prefers being on dry land rather than in the water.

-Has a Sandwing BF who was a POW from Burn’s army but is now free. They use there fire breath as kiln for his pottery.

-Fin is the “runt” of the clutch. He is so small that he is often mistaken for being a member of a younger clutch, even by his own mother.

-He has a lot of spunk and sass to him; like a less annoying Qibil. His brothers would always pick on him for being small when he was younger, but he gave that attitude right back.

It was another foul day in the Sky Kingdom, Princess Burn had decided to grace the Kingdom with her all important presents, she often visited for grand occasions but I couldn't think of any important events that should conspire today. The warm air of midday baked down on my scales, despite being trapped in the confines of the Skywing Prison for two years now, I still would never get used to the constant rays of sunlight on my scales. Chains clanged against one another as I walked alongside a lanky Skywing guard, my wings had been binded and chains attached my legs together, so I knew I was being carted to another arena fight.

Not again, I'll convince them this time. I thought, nieve hope making me hold my head up high. Two days prior I was pitted against a well muscled Icewing, so far I had been able to convince all but one prisoner to stop fighting and defy the tyrannical Queen Scarlet, but the Icewing didn't listen to my pleads, and I was forced to murder them. The memory made me feel queasy, it was my second murder in this twisted enviorment and that number was far too high for my likings.

Suddenly the guard and I came to a halt, the sun had been blocked out by a high arched ceiling, we were under the stairs of the arena. I felt adrenalin flood my senses and make my heart beat faster at the thought of the battle to come, carefully the guard unlocked the shackles that bind my legs. I nodded thankfully to him, I’ve been trying my best to get on the guards good sides, but clearly that strategy had been failing for none of them had aided my attempted escapes. The guard stepped back to the entrance of the small area we were stuck in together, blocking the exit so I couldn’t escape. Excited shouts and screams from watching dragons made it hard to hear the Prince Vermillion rattle off his announcements. Vermillion was the one to announce the dragons who would be pitted against each other, I’ve become sick of hearing his voice.

I cocked my head, trying my best to listen in on who I may be “fighting” this go around, through the rumble of the crowd I could just barely make out the words, “...nami .. Sea … ings!” From Vermillion, a Seawing, I was battling a Seawing. Suddenly that original feeling of naive hope became a feeling of pure excitement and triumphant, even before the battle had been started. However long I had been trapped here, however long Scarlet would confine me in her disgusting view of entertainment, my subjects would alway know me, and no matter the circumstance I will never harm one of my citizens and they would never do the same to me.

I approached the entrance to the arena, excitement buzzing through my body, I awaited Vermillion to announce my name. “...GILL OF THE SEAWINGS!” The young Prince shouted, the crowd roared excitedly, they had seen my battles in the past and had been enthralled by them.

Clouds of sandy dust puffed up around my talons as I stepped out into light of the arena, hundreds of dragons, Skywings and Sandwings alike piled up in the bleachers, gazing down on the two Seawings who would kill each other for their amusement. I instinctively looked up to the Queen’s throne, my eyes locked with Queen Scarlets, her face warped into a cruel grin. The howls of the crowd reduced to mindless noise in my mind as I turned my head to face my opponent, in an instant all that excitement and energy I felt before was washed away. I felt like I had been hit with a giant wave and was still recovering from the blow. My legs trembled as I stared at this dragon, no, dragonet, standing before me. Her scales were dark blue and her underbelly was a pale cerulean complimented by light green glowing scales, the spitting image of Queen Coral, my wife.

I took a shaker step back as I blinked in bewilderment, staring at the young dragoness that stood before me. I haven’t gone insane...have I? I thought, I couldn’t tear my eyes away from the dragoness. For a second I thought they must have been one of my son’s, but none of my sons resembled Coral that closely, and she had to be too old to be Anemone? And in that moment that wave came back to crash over my head, a puff of air escaped my mouth as a sense of pure bliss overwhelmed me, this must be the daughter Webs stole from us.

Shouts and roars grew louder and more aggressive as the two Seawings relaxed from a battle stance. The dragonets face had originally taken an aggressive and defensive forum, but after my epiphany her face relaxed into a simple scowl, “I don’t want to fight you!” She shouted above the thunderous noise of the angry crowd. Emotions threatened to overwhelm me in that fleeting moment, she shared my morals, and I didn’t even have to raise her to influence her ethics, and I wouldn’t have to fight my daughter.

“Y-yes! I don’t wish-sh to fight either!” I managed to choke out, pride and joy tangled in my chest as a smile was shared between the webbed dragons. Ignoring the enraged booing of the crowd, all I focused on was the soft relief that was shown on the other dragons face, and the pure joy I felt knowing that no blood would be spilt on the sands today.

hmmm this is a bit out of left field but if the undertale cast were wof-style dragons, what do you think they might be?

hMM i’ll start with sans and papyrus: for them, i think of rainwings!! with sans acting like the stereotypical type outwardly: basking in the sun, dozing and generally acting p lazy - and papyrus being the total opposite! all bright colours like pink, yellow and orange dashing across his body as he races off to undyne’s house, the red dash that encircles his neck the only consistent hue…. sans though, despite his time in the sun (papyrus often states that it is simply that he’s basking too much in snowy weather and not being active enough) is often clouded by pale colours (an indication of some underlying low mood/feeling)

after rethinking over some stuff i think that asgore and toriel would actually better fit seawings, along with asriel himself! however all three are powerful animus’ - capable of powerful spells if they so wished - with larger, floppy ears and more of a rounded muzzle shape than typical seawings, such as how i’d imagine undyne to look: bright cerulean blue with glowing green eyes, a sharper lean snout and bioluminescent scales running down her sides to match. she has a fair few scratches here and there and has lost a couple of claws on her left front foot but that’s never stopped her from being the best she can be

now alphys is a little more tricky…. perhaps a sandwing without a barb on her tail?? or a general hybrid between sand and something else… (i honestly couldn’t imagine her as anything but smth yellow sO)

uH for frisk… a rainwing dragonet, much like sans and papyrus but with brighter more vibrant scales and a slightly stockier build than sans/papyrus. i believe i referred to their name as sunshine in a wof au?? and i honestly love that so that’s smth i’ll stick with

chara however, is a rainwing themselves too but devoid of much colour except for the palest of sickly greens, blues and yellows. they often prefer covering themselves in stripes as it’s the most natural design - smth as a fallback and comfort much like how frisk will return to pink and purple stripes when things become stressful for them

in a wof!au i’d imagine that the monster!dragons would all have been cast down beneath the earth due to the fact that they all have inherited animus magic to various degrees, having it as a part of their body much like in undertale canon, causing fear amongst the non-animus dragon tribes
