Hey, remember gaypirates.club?

The little Mastodon server half of the OFMD fandom flocked to back in 2023, when we briefly thought Twitter was about to die?

That little server is shutting down at the end of this month (announced by @unicorndeathrace last week), and I'm here to urge everyone who has an account there to migrate that account to a different Mastodon server, even if you're only semi-active or abandoned your account long ago.

Mastodon lets you keep your follower & following lists – if Bluesky and/or Tumblr ever go down or fully enshittify, it'll be good to have your Mastodon account as a backup, with as many of those connections as possible still intact. The more people do this, the easier it will be to find your fandom friends in the next social media apocalypse!

It's actually a pretty simple process, and I wrote a step-by-step guide to explain how it works. You can read the whole thing here, but I'll share an abridged version here, aimed specifically at folks who aren't super familiar with Mastodon!

Part 1: How to find a new server (= instance)

The part people tend to struggle with is picking a home for their new account, so I've dedicated the largest chunk of this guide to that, but I'll also give some recommendations in case you find that part too overwhelming.

No matter what instance you choose, you'll be able to connect and interact with folks on all the other instances, unless their instance is blocking yours or vice versa!

The most important things to consider are:

What kind of community you want most to connect (if your answer to that is fandom, scroll down for a list of fannish instances!)

What kind of content you want to post/see

What you don't want to see

👉 Have a look at your potential new instance's “About” page (for example, gaypirates.club/about) for its individual Server Rules, Community Guidelines, and blocked (“moderated”) servers.

If you want to post smutty fanart or fic, make sure the server rules allow not just nudity/NSFW but also ~erotic content~! You should also check the exact conditions – for example, most instances will require a CW and/or tag, and some don't allow NSFW content in public posts.

You'll find lists of selected instances, sorted by category, at the links below. There are instances focused on fandom, queer community, specific regions/languages, instances for artists, writers, gamers, musicians – you get the idea!

If all that sounds overwhelming or just too hyper-specific, have a look at the “General” category!

If scrolling through lists isn't your thing, this little wizard can give you suggestions based on what you're personally looking for in a server:

Personally, I chose blorbo.social! Part 2: How to create a new account

This part is so simple I wasn't even sure whether to include it, but it's been a while since most folks signed up, so I figured I should, just in case it helps anyone 🤗 Otherwise, just skip to part 3!

Many instances have a manual review process in place to keep out spam bots, but if you have an invite link from an existing member, your account will get approved automatically! So if you want to join blorbo.social, let me know and I'll send you an invite! 💖

Go to your new instance's website and click “Create Account” or use your invite link.

Review & accept the server rules.

Enter your details and set a new password.

If you don't have an invite, you may now be asked to share why you want to join. For example, you can mention that you're moving from gaypirates.club because it's shutting down soon; for fandom instances, just mentioning your main fandom is usually enough to get you approved! Once you've filled everything in, click “Request account”/“Sign up”.

Wait for your confirmation email.

If there's a manual review process, keep in mind that most instances are run by a small team or even just one person, so they may not be able to approve your account immediately. You may find more info about how long the review process typically takes on the instance's About page.

Congrats, you're in! 🎉

You may now want to fill in your new profile by copying over your bio, profile pic etc. from your old account. But you won't lose any of that in the migration process, so you can still do this later if you prefer!

Part 3: How to export & transfer your account data

The actual account migration requires a bit of switching back & forth between your two accounts, so this part will be easiest if you have them open in two separate tabs/browser windows on your PC.

Step 1: export your data from your old account.

Go to gaypirates.club/settings/export

Download all the CSV files (see screenshot – yours won't be 0 Bytes, that's just cos I used my new account 😉).

I highly recommend you also download the archive of your posts & uploaded media! While these unfortunately can't be imported to your new account, there are tools that make it very easy to look at all the stuff in your archive once the server has shut down, without being some kind of tech wiz! I'll add a fourth part shortly to talk a bit more about the archive – that step isn't time-sensitive once you've downloaded the file, so just make sure you do that before the end of this month!

Step 2: link up your two accounts by creating an “account alias”.

Log into your new account and open the Preferences menu.

Go to Account Settings, scroll down to “Moving from a different account” and follow the link to create an account alias (or just navigate directly to [instance URL]/aliases).

Enter your old handle and click “Create alias”.

This action is completely harmless and will not disable or transfer anything yet.

Step 3: import the CSV files you downloaded earlier.

In your new account, go to Preferences → Import and Export → Import.

From the drop-down menu, choose which file you want to import, then click browse, select the file, and upload it.

Repeat the previous step until you've uploaded all your CSV's.

The number of accounts you're following might not match up with your old account immediately after import, since some may need to manually accept your new follow request. You can easily open those CSV files in Excel, Google Sheets or something similar to see all the accounts in your list, and you can always re-import them if anything goes wrong.

Step 4: transfer your followers & deactivate your old account.

This final step will deactivate your old account, put a redirect notice on it, and transfer all your followers over to your new account.

Until gaypirates.club goes down (cries), all your posts will stay right there, and you'll still have access to your data exports.

Once you're ready to move to your new account:

Go to gaypirates.club/settings/migration

Enter your new handle and the password for your old account.

Click “Move Followers”.

Don't panic if some of your followers aren't transferred immediately. This can apparently take up to a few days (in extreme cases), depending on which servers your followers are on.

✨ And you're done! Now, anyone who visits your old account will still be able to see your posts, but they'll be shown a link to your new account.

I felt so good after watching this.

This might actually be, no joke, one of my favorite episodes of this entire show.

If not my favorite, definately in the top three.

Everyone was utilized. Everyone had some sort of moment.

We saw human sides to the villain characters that was actually interesting.

It was paced really well.

The animation was the prettiest it's ever been.

The intern sublot that I don't care about overall had its best scenes.

Allyson was actually tolerable in this episode.

Jake and Aiden getting payoff to their dynamic thus far.

The build up to that moment where Jake saves both of them was so well handled.

The challenge was so unique and so much fun from start to end.

Grett finally stands up for herself and has her best moment in this season thus far.

AND I get to watch Yul die in VR?

AND we get Yul eliminated??

That elimination alone is going in the Top 10 most satisfying eliminations.

YEAH. I LOVED THIS. THIS WAS A REALLY GOOD EPISODE.

Even if none of those other stuff were true, I'd still love it cause Yul is gone after thirteen episodes. Was it worth it? Honestly, yeah.

I mean I've made it zero secret that Yul is, by far, my least favorite character of this entire show.

He was just a mouth of slurs and not much else. Doesn't help that his 'arc' is him saying that's all there is to him. And he was responsible for my girl Grett's derailment. And there's no backstory to explain it either.

It's just a sore thumb when you have all these other complicated interesting characters in the season, and then you have this one guy who is just so comically hateable.

Yeah I'm so happy he's gone and I don't have to deal with him anymore.

AND YUL GETS NO MONEY!!! YAY!!!! THERE'S NO WAY FOR HIM TO GET ANYTHING ANYMORE!!!!

Also, I will say, despite all of this and my extreme hatred towards the CHARACTER, ZERO OF IT IS TARGETED TOWARDS THE VA.

He did so much better in this season than in Season 2, probably because of better direction. He absolutely nailed this role as the whiny non-aware abuser. There was so much more range and energy in his voice than in Season 2 that honestly did make me tolerate him a BIT more than I would've otherwise. Massive props.

I hate your character, but you did a really good job making me hate him in intentional ways.

I don't know where Grett goes from here though. Her story is kinda... over? Maybe it's not, but I feel like they did what her arc was, standing up to her boyfriend. Gabby is my winner pick and a major player in this game. Even if Grett goes, she's still gonna have stuff to do.

CRAZY TALENTED, i hope you know that!! your works, compositions they are all so awesome i just don't even know in what words describe my adoration. i used to learn music when i was younger, a sitar and i always loved it. unfortunately, i couldn't connect with it the way i connected with art but it continued to fascinate me, regardless. in a way, the lack of connection was actually a lack of ability to express myself in notes, strings, tunes and melodies but you can, and i'll never have anything less than pure admiration for you. aside from that, you're an AWESOME person literally 10/10 you're so cute i just want to squish your cheeks XD we didn't have many personal interactions or deeper convos, but i look forward to new moments spent together! let's hope the next year will bring more with itself :D

THIS POST IS THE PART 2 OF THE REBELION ROUTE FOCUS I JUST POSTED (use the cowede talk about tag to find it easily) DO NOT CLICK UNLESS YOU CHECKED THE OTHER FIRST, SPOILERS

In ending 4, everything goes south after a very stupid decision from takumi escalates in 2 death that leads to a eternal war that is a hellscape for everyone, takumi too, who is now isolated, and just surviving to survive, without will. ending 5 has takumi take a selfish choice but not entirely bad, and while the world will be at war, its a bit bittersweet with showing that the sdu (or at least nozomi and takumi) didnt loose hope, and are trying to make it so peace can one day happen, with nozomi teaching to the new generation. And finally the Ending 6 has takumi make a huge personal saccrfifice, and work his ass of with the rebellion and the sdu for 15 years, never loosing sight of their objective, which leads to peace being achived between all of futurum, but also with mankind, which feels immensely right, as both sides have a VAST MAJORITY of civils who just want to leave peacefull life, the ending being not entirely happy since 1) obviosuly nozomi dies, and even 15 years later, takumi hasnt forgot this sacrifice, 2) It did took 15 years. (btw since i dont know where to say it, the white class uniform for taku and kamyuhn looks DOPE AF This to me, gives ending 6 a "worthy peace" Of course i'm still sad, and if you tell me theres a peace ending somewhere (but dont tell me if its the case) in which things end up as well, and nozomi or like, just a few of the dead ones from this route (darumi, kyoshika, kurara, eva) survive ? Ill be all for it, but i think this ending makes a lot of sense for this story, without being too depressive. it gives kind of kill la kill / guren lagann ending vibes if you get what i mean, its a happy ending, but with some losses that wont be able to just be forget (even if for kill la kill admitedly the point is to move up, check klk and guren if you havent, they are VERY good stories). + unlike 001, its actual peace, not just "war ended because 1 side won, but its the other side than usual"

Like I said though, the very positive fact that i found "my ending" comes with a bit of a dissapointement. its that, while i really like how the ending goes, and the dialog is pretty damn spot on for me to get into, and the cg is great it feels like... "wait thats it ?" not in terms of Thats it ? 15 years later they ended war ? that part is well enough explained and deserved, especially after playing so many route (even though im only at 33 endings, but like, one of the remaining routes gotta have like 30 endings or something, no way theres still twice as many routes as i did so far XD) Its totally fine having just a resume of what went through. No the issue is.. what about the SDU ? their dreams ? Is this really all we get ? one CG of takumi being emotionally conflicted and kamyuhn (in very very cool outfits, still) ? not even a word about the rest of them ? what about eito's book ? and kako, did she found her new dream ? and takemaru and tsubasa and moko ? or yugamu who wanted to become a doctor in the school nozomi was gonna create, we can assume they ended well and like, are all kinda heroes for the people, and all of them helped the rebellion til peace, with the class uniform (now white) being a symbol of the group and of peace. but like...really ? just one cg and them not even being mentioned ? and the photograph ? did they just set all of that for nothing ? i dunno, just a tiny bit of text, just a few line would have been enough, and dare i dream, a second cg, alternate of the first one of maybe takumi responding to the crowd, with a bit of a tear up but a smile, thinking about nozomi ? But i guess they really wanted to hammer in that this ending was like any other importance wide, so tt gets the same very low production that some, but like, several endings have multiple cgs, that THIS ONE in particular has this and ends so abruptly ? feels a bit exagerated, ITS PEACE, for f sake, its like, KIND OF A HUGE GOAL in this game, for the kodaka side of the story at least (i barely tackled the hiruko centric S.F / mystery uchikoshi focus side yet). But like i said, its a small dissapointement, it didnt change that i loved this ending and route, and consider it as my "canon ending" because of how positive it is for the overall verse, and even quite a few of our guys. Even if the game just forgot them lmao. Big shotout to the two writers of the route (who's names i sadly forgot) who arent kodaka or uchikoshi (and while im at it, big shotout to ALL the writers of this game.)

My next route will be the last possible in the "the cast know about their origin" side of the story, not let eito join the crew after he redempted, (day 82 of the Second scenario route) Which is i guess the "goodbye eito" route, in which there's 1 ending according to the list i have and credits, it should be short. then i'll tackle a few more route branching off the second scenario, and move back to the "kill eito at the very start" side or possibly the "g 'ie" / visitiors (that we know now to be takumi and hiruko leaping... unless ?) side of the game, i think our final route will be the hiruko leaping one, as it feels like its gonna be heavy, and connect to the other routes so we might want to see what happened in those first (we saw visitors in retsnom briefly and in slasher wayyyy more)

Watched the first Paw Patrol movie with my dad, this time entirely in Brazilian dub (first time I watched was entirely in English), in the early hours past midnight today. Have the best of his reactions. Honestly, most were the same as mine when I watched the movie for the first time too, so let's go XD

4). What fandoms do you write for?

I mainly write for video game fandoms.  I used to write reader fics for anime fandoms but oh my gods the hate and toxicity was unreal.  So I don’t touch those anymore unless it’s privately written for friends.

I write for Dragon Age (Origins, 2, Inquisition, and Veilguard), Mass Effect (the OT and Andromeda), Cyberpunk 2077, Baldur’s Gate 3, Skyrim (though that’s mostly just my Dragonborn and Farkas), Stardew Valley, and Avowed.

If we’re mutuals and you like anime, I can be inclined to write anime as well.  So long as I know enough about it.  I’m definitely not closed off from writing it, but I will be sending it via Google Docs or similar programs instead of publishing it.

5). Do you respond to comments? Why or why not?

I try to!  But sometimes my brain likes to switch gears and I totally forget.  Then by the time I remember it’s been a month and I’m dying of mortification that I forgot.  The whole dog meme of “SQUIRREL” that’s me.

6). What’s the fic you wrote with the angstiest ending?

That one is easy.

Fool Me Once.  Absolutely does not have a happy ending.  Ryder and Reyes do not ride off into the sunset together.  Celeste Ryder turns her back on Kadara after being tortured.  I always wanted to write a sequel, but I lost a lot of love of writing around that time due to burn out.  I never got around to writing again until much later. If you check this one out, heed any and all tags associated with the chapters.

Darkside is still up in the air if it will be happy or angsty at the end.  We’ll see where Cara and Illario take me. Heed any tags and warnings about this. Their relationship is definitely not healthy.

7). What’s the fic you wrote with the happiest ending?

The fics I wrote for others for exchanges.

Every Little Thing – Varric chooses the Inquisitor Cadash Color Blind I suppose the Rent A Dom and Waiting on a Hero fics from my other account are happy endings as well.

8). Do you get hate on fics?

Back when I wrote for anime I did.  And most recently I got comments on The Frog Queen (my female Cousland x Nathaniel Howe long fic).  It was more weird than hate?  Because they devoted the energy to leave a nasty comment rather than doing something productive with their lives.  *shrugs*

If I’m in the mood, I’ll troll haters.  My best work is just linking to a Rick Roll.  Most of my mutuals know to not trust any links I post under “hate” comments because I’m intentionally being cheeky.

The hate used to get to me.  It doesn’t anymore.  Now I’m just like: you have that much extra energy/motivation to leave a hate comment?  Get a hobby.  Leave my old ass alone to molder in peace.

9). Do you write smut?

*waves hand at my entire blog* And the anime one too.  On that one I wrote so much darker smut than here.  All tagged appropriately.  I do write darker stuff and monster fucking too.  I have 0 shame in it.

I write smut for f/m and f/f ships.  I don’t write m/m because I’m still a little leery after being called names back in the day.  As I’m a cisgender woman writing m/m ships, I was called fetishizing and so I tend to take a step back.  If someone requests it I will write it, but that’s about it.  I won’t write it on my own.

10). Do you write crossovers?

Not too many.  I have written AUs before, but not really any crossovers.  The only one I can think of was for a Black Emporium fic years ago.  It was a Skyrim x Dragon Age crossover.

11). Have you ever had a fic stolen?

Yes.  A 14 year old took my Kinktober pieces from MHA and posted them on Wattpad.  It was a headache and a half getting that taken down.  I went through such a blocking spree on that blog after that.  A lot of my stuff doesn’t get stolen which I’m thankful for.  XD

12). Have you ever had a fic translated?

Nope.  No one’s ever asked me anyway.

13). Have you ever cowritten a fic before?

I have not cowritten a completed fic but I do write back and forth stories featuring my and friend’s OCs.  The only fic I’ve been tagged in as a cowriter is more a collection than anything else.  Letters from the War.

14). What’s your all-time favorite ship?

15). What’s the WIP you want to finish but doubt you ever will?

New to the Neighborhood.  It’s a Shepard x Kaidan modern AU where Kaidan moves into the neighborhood with a kid and Shepard happens to be his neighbor.  Typically romance novel stuff, but I just wrote myself into a corner and can’t figure a way out of it.

16). What are your writing strengths?

Smut.  Just kidding.  I like to think characterization is a strength of mine but not sure.  I do know that I love writing dialogue and banter.

17). What are your writing weaknesses?

Everything.  I have a lot of weaknesses but I do this for funsies, so I’m not looking to really overcome it too much.  I do keep in mind certain things I’m not good at writing.  Show not tell is a big one for me.  XD

18). Thoughts on writing dialogue in another language in a fic?

I mean I have.  If I have a mutual or a friend that speaks that language I’ll go and ask them if I’m doing it right.  Otherwise I do research about the language before I use it.

19). First fandom you wrote for?

InuYasha when I was sixteen.  It’s the first one I really remember writing down because most of the time it was acted out when I was a kid.  I didn’t really write as a kid because nothing was sacred in my house.  -.-

20). Favorite fic you’ve ever written?

Oh jeez.  That one’s easy.

The Serpent

It’s by far my favorite and the first long fic I ever wrote.  It took years to finish it.  I still love it and the characters.  Cerise Ryder is my ride or die gal and will remain so.  She got her happy ending in The Bloody Crown.  It wasn’t all roses and sunshine, everything settled happily.  Her ending was more about acceptance and healing than anything else.  I cried when I finished the sequel.  It’s my good-bye to her.  But that fic will always remain my favorite I ever wrote.

It had been a sunny day and he had picked out daisies from the garden to put them into his mother’s braid. “Oh, Adrien,” she had sighed, after he had explained what exactly he meant. “Aging isn't something to look forward to. We all just celebrate to pretend we’re not miserable. You don't want balloons that let everyone know that you're one step closer to damnation.”

Adrien hadn't understood some of the words but he had never asked for balloons again. 

(Maybe he hadn't forgotten his mother's age. Maybe he had never known it to begin with.) 

Adrien placed the towel on top of the sink and turned around. He needed a second shower.

so, I will try to use my (nonexistent) pitching abilities to both: 1) introduce new people to what I’m currently working on; and 2) give you (yes you Fifi) some more intel to munch on while you wait for the next update. let’s see how it goes.

1) how it began:

it was a dark and stormy night when I finished the drama Evilive, in mid-November of last year, and I couldn’t sleep. for days I couldn’t stop thinking about the characters and I decided to put my Word of Honor big fic on hold to give this new fandom a chance. the plan was to finish everything around the 80k words mark but.. oh boi. I knew myself. I knew I wasn’t gonna cut it, verbose as I am, so I decided to be diligent about it: I took 1 month to plan this fic at the best of my abilities before I started typing like a maniac on my laptop.

at the end of the month I posted the first chapter and since then I woke up at 5am (almost) every single day to chip away at this project. long story short: it changed my life. not in a big way, it didn’t magically get me a super fancy job or a stable paycheck. none of that. but it made my life significantly better.

because you have to know that, before I decided waking up at 5am was a good idea, I was so used to be dreading the new day that it was messing with my brain. I didn’t want to go to sleep because “then another day would have started” without me enjoying myself even a little bit. but the difference between going to sleep at 3am (to wake at 7) and going to sleep at 11pm (to wake at 5) made me look forward to the new day time and time again. that way, if I manage to fall asleep on the right time every day, I get to start a new morning doing what I love most: writing.

this came at a cost, however, bc apparently waking super early is bad for my blood pressure (?? rude and biphobic of my body to do me so dirty, if you ask me >:/ like.. hello??) and I get (almost daily now) a sensible energy drop around lunchtime but it’s worth it in my book. this fic turned me into an optimist and I’ve always been a realist at best.

cons of this project: the fandom is tiny. so tiny infact that there are not many “work in progress” fics besides mine on ao3 ;—; I remember this being the case for Beyond Evil too, even if I was just a casual reader at the time, back when it first aired: we were starving for new content and I recall translating Korean fanfics into English just to have someto dig my teeth into xD

moreover, I tend not to read for the fandom I’m writing for, because I’m a sponge and (like my friend Amethystina said once) “I don’t want to accidentally steal someone else’s idea” just because I have shit memory (I’ll admit I caved at the beginning of 2024 bc I was in a bad place mentally and I read a couple of one-shots on Evilive, it’s ok, ik. I forgot the majority of them anyway, I just know they were lovely and their authors very smart indeed). so it’s a very lonely process! I churn up content, I don’t consume content, I wait for comments, I joyfully reply to comments and then, if I want more human interaction I have to (*checks*) come up with more content?? ahah. Ik it doesn’t work like that, and that I have to put effort in talking with other people in the fandom for it to become larger.. but this is why I do these tag games :D to engage with other lovely people in fun activities like these! good thing this fic keeps me going, bc I would be lost without it.

the general plot idea comes from a need I wanted to see fulfilled: I wanted to read a story about a group of women going apeshit crazy on the world. no repercussions, absolute power, no remorse. women from different levels of society, different ethnicities, different nationalities, different sexualities just.. being allowed to do whatever they wanted. I wanted to explore the pros and cons of such circumstances and yet I didn’t want it to be merely focused on that alone. I also wanted to point out how every person is capable of evil and that there still needs to be a moment in our life when we choose to be better instead.

one thing that made me side-eye Evilive specifically was.. well, the lack of women. there are 3 adult women in the whole drama taking some sort of role inside the story and all of them felt rich with the implication of a personality underneath, but no actual character to be seen. I love all 3 of them, from the “wife”, to the “mother”, to the “femme fatale” as they are, yet they still are flat compared to the other people in the show, even the more stereotypically evil or corrupt among them. I needed more, so more I made.

in addition to this, I really wanted to write from the point of view of a nasty, selfish man who has been corrupted by power long enough to have forgotten how to be human again. someone who believes they can fix it all by taking revenge on the person who turned them into a monster.. not realizing they had the potential to become a monster all along and never noticed.

Lamb Loose may be a “fix-it” of sorts based on the happenings (and the finale) of Evilive, but I also think it can be some sort of Atonement Arc rather than a Redemption Arc all in all: just because you become self-aware of the evil deeds you’ve put in motion and want to be better now.. doesn’t mean you can redeem yourself for the sorrow you caused. and, sometimes I also like characters who don’t change in their (evil/selfish) ways but somehow still learn to broaden their perspective after meeting new people. restoring one’s trust in humanity is hard, but maybe it can start by looking into our own selves and look for humanity within us first and foremost.

Han Dong Soo as a character seemed the best option for me, even if it is challenging to write from his POV at times. some of the things he thinks and does are truly horrendous to me personally, but it’s a necessary step towards understanding someone as bad as him in my opinion. not to justify his actions, but to learn how to recognize them in other people instead.

there’s also horny thoughts, not gonna lie, but those feel more like an extension of all that Han Dong Soo as a person has repressed along the years. so, in a way, the sexual tension is just another character in the script, unnamed and all-encompassing, but never at the center itself. since Han Dong Soo is also an unreliable narrator, I can play with him and make the reader question everything he is going through at the same time, which is fun to me :)

dear, ch16 may not be full of plot-relevant quests but there’s a lot of yearning involved 👀 and I know it’s tough to wait for something more juicy to happen 😥😔 but I’m finally seeing the end of the big draft (working on ch31 now, aiming to finish the whole thing at ch40 ending a ch37 was too optimistic of me apparently ahah) and I promise you it will be absolutely worth it.

sometimes I feel very dejected about this project, bc it’s taking forever and I absolutely want to finish it before the end of the year :(

but your constant support and care are one of the reasons I keep going 💪😤💘 your art is extraordinary in itself, but your enthusiasm for this fic truly has made me appreciate living in the moment and enjoy the process more and more. so thank you dear for always cheering me on and for indulging me with your lovely comments and messages :)

Life Lately

Hey there! It’s been a while since the last time I posted something.

Life was a little bit of a rollercoaster in the last few months but more on that later. If you wonder what happened to my inbox and tags: I simply forgot.

No, seriously, I have no view over the activities on here since last year summer, I guess. So I will just drop all the asks and start new.

If you already know me: welcome back to my small blog. If you don’t know who I am:

Hi. My name is Mimi. I am an aspiring writer for (dark) fantasy series and pen and paper games. Normally, I didn’t do much besides talking about my writing, but since I shifted in my day to day life to a more and more challenging and exciting schedule, I will probably turn this blog into a life diaries or something similar.

To give you a short overview over the recent events in my life, I will briefly go over them:

I had quite a pause on Project Rosary, but started again a few weeks ago. There is not much to say about this project, besides that I somehow got to meet some of my future beta readers? I now have a list for all of those people (a total list of 5 - perhaps more). I haven’t even finished draft one… I don’t know if this is a good thing or not xD

I started programming my Discord bot again! Kupla will have even more features in the future, which are currently only accessible for my close friends (Guild ID is set to our main server), but maybe, it will be available for more people in the future.

University is going quite well. I have gained a lot of new friends over the past year. I would even go over to saying I know so many people right now that I am literally overwhelmed by it to a certain point. Nevertheless, I never want to miss any one of them. Especially that one friend I am happy to call my boyfriend 💕

To be honest with you, I started writing several life updates posts but I never posted any of them. Even though so much happened in the last year and even though I could tell you so many things about all these events (organizing a huge party, being part of an official conference, publishing my first self-designed and co-written thing, new relationships, being in an official political position at university and so on and so forth), I am not sure what to write.

I don’t know if anything of this is interesting for you, since I linger in the writeblr part of tumblr.

Nothing - at least the 95% of the long list of things - is not writing related and I haven’t got the time to actually write on my own projects, even though I set myself an unofficial deadline to be done with draft 1.

Most of my time at the moment is consumed by university work and my mental health.

The truth is: my mental health is struggling at the moment to a point where my boyfriend and I agreed on changing our both schedules around, trying to become healthier in our sleep cycle, activities and overall mindset. He is way more mentally stable than I am, which is good for someone who is constantly overthinking stuff but also sometimes very frustrating.

My goal to change my daily routine is one of the most important things at the moment and by far the most present topic in my life.

I understand that this is not the content you hoped for when you saw my blog in the first place. I mean, I am originally a writing blog and people subscribe for a reason: to see exactly the content they hope to see. But at the moment, this blog is more a personal diary, instead of a blog about my projects, doing fun stuff like tag games and shoutouts.

Yes, I still love writing. Yes, I am still going to drop content about writing in the future. But this is not the only content anymore for me.

I would go on and say “drop me in the comments if you are interested in following this new journey” but obviously I will find out over interaction and follower counts.

Perhaps, I will get active again, when I have more to tell than “yay, I worked on my project for two hours but unfortunately I cannot tell you what I exactly did because I cannot risk getting rejected by an agent because I told too much”. Because my writing project is exactly that: a secret so I have a chance to get published in Germany.

Anyway, I hope I didn’t bore you to death with my little life update or scared you away that my content will be changing if I am active again.

Hi! 💞 as far as I've seen most roleplay here on Tumblr happen in public via ask box, you send/get sent any type of roleplay prompt or start of conversation (there are blogs who post rp memes and starters for people to reblog so that others can choose a prompt to send from the list, but it's not always required to wait for a prompt list, you can also send/get prompts and starters without having reblogged a post beforehand) and after the answer to that ask the roleplay moves forward through reblogs

Example: you send me an ask saying "Hi" and I answer to that ask with "Hello", at that point if you want to continue the rp you reblog my answer with your own continuation like "How are you", after which I reblog yours with my own continuation and so on and so forth for as long as we want

If a thread happens to get too long after a while (something that might happen, I once had an rp thread go on for months on another rp blog of mine, it was a monster of a thread) you can also make a new post starting with a "Continuation from" or something along those lines (personally I love to use, "Previously on [Name blog/Title rp thread]" but everyone uses what they prefer) with a link to the previous thread so that it starts anew and it's not too long anymore, and of course you can do that as many times as it's needed

As for roleplaying in private in the dms, to me personally it happened only once. The other blog wanted to try out some triggering themes but didn't want to write those things where everyone else could read them so we ended up roleplaying in my dms

I honestly have no idea if it's a common thing or not, but as someone who grew up roleplaying on F*ceb*ok where most rps happened in private chats (some did happen on public posts but no one wanted to risk posting things that might get reported/banned, especially with the group I used to be in where we would often indulge in dark themes, heavy angst, explicit torture and sometimes even NSFW roleplay between our characters) it's not that weird to me so usually it depends on what my roleplay partner prefers

It's very rare for me to feel embarassed or anxious about roleplaying something so I'm always ok with public rp (and yes, even public NSFW rp, though usually I put those kind of things under the read more thing)

Other than that I guess it can change from person to person, maybe some have a preference for private rp and others for public rp, I've seen some who only accept asks from mutuals and keep anon off, but usually each blog has their own rules posted for those things so it's easy to know

I've also noticed two different ways to divide between muse and mun, some people use the "/" when talking as the mun (ex, *Character does/says something* /Omg this was so fun to write XD <- second part is the mun and not the character, usually put a couple of empty lines under the rp) while others use tags (ex, *Character does/says something* *down in the tags #omfg I can't believe he did that #this was so fun to write tho #your answer was so good #idek wtf is going on anymore* and each reblog adds new tags of their own to talk outside the rp as a sort of conversation), personally I've used both depending on what my rp partner prefers (I adapt quite easily) so use whatever you feel is right for you

Now, I'm not a Tumblr rp etiquette professional so there might be things I don't know/forgot to mention/got wrong, but also it's pretty easy to learn once you get into the right circle, I remember the first time I started roleplaying (both here on Tumblr and before on the Book app) I was basically going in blind and just imitating what everyone around me was doing while barely understanding why they were doing certain things until I started learning by observing and got bolder with my own roleplay so don't worry if you don't understand/know everything right away and give yourself some wiggle room to learn and make mistakes here and there

I mostly just do reblogs, and just random stuff but I'll also post links to my fanfics so keep an eye for that! (Only been one so far, but lots of folks seem to enjoy it xD) Jesus Christ why didn't I notice this outdated section in my intro page after so many edits!

I've so far made two separate oneshots and one on-going overly ambitious snowgrave fic. (Currently on hiatus after finishing it's first arc. Not canceled though, I'll continue it in the future. Check it out.)

Expect my fics to mostly be UT and DR fics... Same with posts.... Just a lot of UT/DR related reblogs and post, but you'll also see a few posts related to other games I like or things that catch my fancy. (E.G, I've reentered the doctor who fandom after like 4-5 years)

Aiming for the blog to be SFW but y'know, I'm still an adult and stuff. Might reblog stuff with swearing. May also reblog SFW posts from NSFW blogs/"Minors DNI or do not follow" blogs, but I don't usually follow these blogs and will likely not touch their risky stuff. I’m likely suffering from chronic Asriel and Noelle brain rot. I want goat boy to get a happy ending and love the Trans Noelle head-canon. Shipper of Suselle (Susie/Noelle) and Dessriel (Dess/Asriel). (Oh and of course Alphyne (Alphys/Undyne) but I'm not obsessed with the pair like Suselle and Dessriel. Alphyne's still cute though!) Also opened asks! (but don't really know what I'll do with them, and don't expect quick responses, especially bc I’m the shy type of trans-femme. Also, keep the discourse crap away from me.)

Haven't gotten a lot of asks so I just opened the anonymous ones. (Note: This is on thin ice. I may turn off anonymous asks if I change my mind and realize it's a mistake. I already turned off messaging from people I don't follow because I kept getting incomprehensible bot messages.)

II: If you're a Religious fundamentalist, Militant Atheists, or anyone who can't respect other people's religious/areligious beliefs. DNI. (Its ok to criticize bigoted/harmful religious people, or parasitic and abusive cults. Just don't interact if you say stuff like "All religious people of "X" religion are mentally ill/bigots/terrible.")

III: Look, I don't do the proship/antiship discourse/labels. At their worse, proshippers can be bunch of creeps, antishippers can be bunch of witch hunters, and both can be media illiterate harassers. I rather just call them as I see then instead of using the terminology of the terminally online. That being said, DNI if you ship "incest/pedophilia" as if nothings wrong with the situation. (E.G, Fontcest, Chasriel, Frans, Lancer/Susie,) (Once again fucking nuance and shit in the footnotes even if I feel like I need to rewrite them sometime.) III.1: This DNI (in most cases) does not cover Friskriel or Charisk, (as they are only incestuous under certain conditions.) Similar thing with Kralsei, except that ship's DNI status may change when we learn more about Ralsei's connections to Asriel. (For more elaboration/nuance, look at Footnotes 01 and 02)

IV: Please tag your anti-ship or anti-character posts as anti-[shipname]/anti-[charactername], or I will likely block you, especially if you just tag the ship/character name. Dislike whatever characters or ships you want, but when I look at the Suselle tag I'm looking for everything but Anti-Suselle posts. (Footnote 03) IV.1: At the same time, I don't like seeing toxic entitled shipper behavior on my own dash, even if it's relating to ships I like. Continue this behavior and I'll consider blocking you because I don't like seeing that shit EITHER on my dash.

V: If your posts look like that of a porn bot I'll likely block you. If your blog looks like a bot in general (blank/empty blog, no pfp or title, acts like a bot) I will likely assume you are and block you.

I have so many, but I will love to finish some wip about Shen Jiu recovering his body post canon. Is all very traumatic for SJ, and for SY too, because well, his husband is in love with *that* body, so.

I like Silk Cage. I was so depressed after finishing mdzs and this was my vent fic, so... I helped me deal with my feelings over Jin GuangYao. I wrote that being sad and mad and even more sad. So it's important to me.
