Ace Attorney Investigations Collection released just a couple of weeks ago~ \(人◕ω◕)/ I cannot convey how long I've waited for the sequel of AAI to release out here in the west. You know how back in the day Danganronpa had a fan translation before it got an official dub in the west a couple years later? ... Yes? No? Well, that's because Spike Chunsoft didn't procrastinate like hell. Some people remember the fan translation, and some fans don't. I remember cuz of Let's Players like Pharaoh2091 and Nicob. However, AAI2 has been out in Japan for... how many years now? Oh yes. 13. Yes, 13 years. (人◕ω◕)*** Us international fans relied on a much cherished fan translation that gave us the redemption of the Ace Attorney Investigation series we so desperately needed (Turnabout Ablaze dragged!!! It was good enough til the Yatagarasu reveal, then it fizzled out. (人◕ω◕)***). I played the fan translation myself, for all the bugs it wound up giving my comp back in the day. (人◕ω◕) But I could never get it to be portable as it was intended to be.

... Well, it finally got an official dub. And while I'm grateful to have it in my hands, the "official" names are... well... (人◕ω◕) ... Let's just say it's like Herlock Sholmes for me. I block out the "official" names, myself. The fan dub names are much more... charming, shall we say. But at the end of the day, that's just my preference. If any of you guys loved the official names, I'm happy for you. (人◕ω◕) As for me... 'Tis shall always be Ray Shields, Sebastian Debeste, Blaise Debeste, Sirhan Dogen, Justine Courtney, and Simon Keyes for me. ... And all the other fan dubs, of course. (人◕ω◕) I'm not salty. Not at all. ... I won't even talk about the Objection voices. (人◕ω◕)**.........

Has clannad aged perfectly? No. But that show was the first anime that made me sob my eyes out and if you play dango Daikazoku I have a 60% chance of bursting into tears. I haven't fully watched the show in over a decade but I still love Tomoya and Nagisa's love story with my whole chest. I don't care if the ending where Nagisa and Ushio get to live is cheesy I hold it dear to my heart.

okay so out of all the anime ive ever seen, know, or like i think these animes would maybe fit your fancy:

Revolutionary Girl Utena.

spoke about it in my last ask so u can find more info there if u havent already seen it, but please anyone reading this, if u havent seen this anime please PLEASE go watch it. trigger warnings for the things i discussed in the last ask i answered, but it is beautifully animated, it crafts a deep, meaningful, and impactful story about breaking down the patriarchal ideals of what it means to be a "prince" and "princess". how society tries to assign us these roles based off of our gender or sex, and how they affect both men and women in terms of toxic masculinity, and how young girls and women pay the price for it. it is often told in heavy symbolism and metaphors or through a fairy tale like lens, but it all has a purpose. theres a ton of symbolic meaning in it that i still dont understand, even after my most recent rewatch. its stunning, and its queer as hell! directed by none other than kunihiko ikuhara, if anyone is familiar with any of his other popular works (such as the sailor moon R movie, yurikuma arashi, and penguindrum)

2) CLANNAD

HEAR ME OUT i ADORE clannad it is one of my top 5 animes ever and it is BEAUTIFUL. its two seasons total, produced by kyoani, and it is funny, charming, beautiful, and tragic. the second season is its most acclaimed, because After Story is just....breathtaking, but the first season rly starts off good too. the humor is so fucking good, i found myself laughing my ass off all through both seasons and it reads as a harem, but it doesnt follow the exact same harem tropes because the main guy has always had eyes for one girl since day 1 so....sorry ladies this is nagisa's house. also it is based off of an old 2000s otome game so thats why too. but clannad follows the main story, nagisa's route.

the story is essentially about a high schooler named Tomoya Okazaki who hates his dad, the town he lives in, and himself. and on the hill going to school one day he meets a senior, Nagisa Furukawa, and she's talking to herself to calm herself down because she's afraid to go back to school. tomoya overhears and it kinda...resonates with him. so he basically says theyll do it together. and so kicks off their story, about how nagisa's passion to follow her dreams before her senior year is over warms up tomoya's frozen heart and they fall for each other. it has a good cast of characters, like the girls in the cover shown and more, and its a slice of life, drama. beautiful 10/10 definitely recommend. get ur tissues ready tho i will warn u, i stayed crying like a baby lolol

3) Cardcaptor Sakura

another magical girl series if u havent already seen it! a classic among the magical girl genre, i offer you CLAMP's probably highest grossing series, cardcaptor sakura! i grew up on this anime, and im talkin GREW UP i was 9 when i watched this anime in japanese on youtube in 3 parts lmao (i was not fuckin with that 4kids dub ngl) and i adore this anime. granted it is a CLAMP creation, therefore there are some Questionable things in there, but the story, art style, characters, and magic are rly fun!!! plus....SYAORAN LI UM HELLO??? MY SON???? total tsundere brat, but hes a dream boat too yknow????

i wassss going to recommend Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle as my third ngl, because it does have sakura and syaoran as their main protagonists in trc, as well as many other clamp characters (mcu who?) buttttttt tsubasa is always a shot in the dark to recommend to people because 1) the anime sucks. if u want the true, authentic story u gotta read the manga. i am rolling around in my grave for all eternity until tsubasa gets a manga-faithful anime adaptation....and 2) not a lot of people like tsubasa because its unnecessarily convoluted lolol there are definitely gripes i have with certain aspects of its story, but i adore that manga with all my being it is sooo so good.

Max Heart: Whenever the debate starts up about low-combat seasons, no-combat seasons, what counts as low combat, whether you blame broadcast standards and practices, whether certain seasons should even be counted in the franchise, it's always you.

Heartcatch: You used to be new blood. You wore the new-blood badge proudly. Now you're old guard, and you're taking this about as well as you take the cashier at the liquor board store not carding you anymore.

Fresh: Every other redemption arc in the franchise is under a microscope with you people. Whether it was emotional enough. Whether they were sad enough. Whether they were too evil to deserve it or not evil enough to warrant it. Whether they're gay enough with the MC. We get it, you already have the gold standard in front of you!

Mahoutsukai/Mahou Girls/Witchy: You know how people used to turn up their noses at Precure and call it "the magical girl show for yuri fans"? You took that as a recommendation.

Otona/Full Bloom: You people deserve a war medal for how much shipping discourse you have to deal with every day out there. And a drink. [smash cut to the second Otona collab cafe being the first official Precure event with a liquor licence] Well, you got one of those things.

Doki Doki: You either go all in on the "stealth yuri harem show" thing or you have very strong opinions on which specific girl Mana should be with and how much better that girl deserved in general from the writers.

Tropical-Rouge: Memelord. You have watched Monopoly Mermaid Monday every week for years. You have put low-poly images of Kururun in every possible situation. You have substituted Asuka into every meme about characters from other shows being some kid's lesbian awakening. The animation errors are in your blood.

Star Twinkle: You have Opinions about all the times that the plot, setting, characters, merch, and screentime levels pivoted to try and drum up toy sales. I feel for you poor souls. On a meta level, this is the Go-Busters of Precure.

Hirogaru/Soaring Sky: You have a conspiracy board of how Sora/Mashiro is canon and how the staff are clearly suffering and straining to show it without the censors getting on their case. Possibly a literal conspiracy board on the actual wall of your home.

Go! Princess: I have never seen the reverse of "they're not gay, it's just admiration" as strongly as I have with you. You guys have just-friends goggles for Haruka/Kanata welded onto your face so she can end up with whichever other girl(s) you prefer instead. Live your best life.

Futari wa: You are a nostalgia fiend, the world's strongest Nagihono shipper, suffered in that 2010s wave of people complaining about Nagisa being a pessimistic whiner when her developing through that was half the point of the show, and still probably call Hikari useless and/or a third wheel. The first three points are valid, but get over the last one.

Smile: You will not watch anything that is 13 episodes or shorter. To you, people calling for the end of filler are calling for the end of character development, breathing room, and likeable characters and stories. Also you just love how silly it got.

5GoGo: This is basically the same as Smile but you had to walk uphill both ways in the snow for almost six years.

HappinessCharge: You could give an impassioned speech about how so many people had ideas about what this season should be that they never slowed down to appreciate what it is. But you're too chill for that and you just meme about Mars, wedding chicken, and eye lasers.

Healin' Good: You will never forgive COVID or the Olympics.

Splash Star: You originated the "Girly Dragon Ball" meme. There is no way a Splash Star fan isn't out there trying to evangelize their show to people who dismiss the season, series, and genre. It worked for Princess Tutu, you're convinced it's going to work for you.

Hugtto: You have opinions about the ending. You have opinions about which ships are canon and which ships should have been canon. You have opinions on the timeline. For my own safety, I will not get into a conversation with you about any of them.

Wonderful: I know the character work is great. I know the magical girl genre has evolved and Precure doesn't need to set itself apart from the competition when it's at the top of the heap. I know it's teaching kids important lessons. I just feel like you're a little stressed out and maybe you need a vacation.

Yes: You have spent far too long suffering children accusing you of being problematic and probably heterosexual, when I know you just love the stupid antics these girls get up to when every one of them thinks they're the only sensible person in the room and they are dead wrong.

Suite: You would also like the opportunity to punch your depression until it goes away, and I do not blame you.

Kirakira: Either you came here for Akiyuka or you watched all of Yumeiro Patissiere and probably mainline the Food Network.

Delicious-Party: Do you exist? I have never met someone who said their favourite season was Delicious-Party. Are you all congregating in the Tokusatsu Quarry? I can't generalize about people I'm not sure are even there to make jokes about.

I notice you have Shino in your profile pic. I take it you’re a fan of Kanojo mo Kanojo? Out of curiosity, what are your general thoughts on the series? Is Shino your favorite character? Personally, my favorite is Saki (bi harem queen for the win).

Hi! Thanks for the ask! I absolutely adore Kanojo Mo Kanojo! It's one of those manga that if I had to choose one out of all my favorites to run out of a burning building with, it would be this one.

The manga and the anime have a very special place in my heart for multiple reasons.

I adore the girls. Though they are built around some of the expected stereotypes, they don't live in them or stick with them. Each girl feels really unique in themselves.

I appreciate that this manga doesn't feel like other harem where it's just only centered around the guy. Yes, Naoya is the focus of all the girls but he gives as much as he gets with his striving to make each of them happy.

Naoya (to me) feels coded as a demisexual which resonates with me as that's what I am. The scene when Saki challenges Naoya after the bath about his intentions with Nagisa is what I'm going by because he had never thought of Nagisa more than becoming madly in love with her and the idea of a threesome was a side thought that only came up because Saki hinted at it. His relationship with those two (and the other two) was built upon mutual understanding and love instead of horny teenager syndrome that other harem stories seem to do.

(No offense to them though. I got a kick out of Highschool DxD and is one of my top five favorite list. lol )

I adore Shino because I have always loved the prime and proper characters that struggle with how they're expected to be perceived and their own desires. Shino wants that physical connection but she has been raised that it was impolite and improper for a lady to even think of such things. Which makes it funnier and more adorable that she's the accidental exhibitionist.

When it comes to the anime, they didn't try to change the feel of the manga and the voice actors that they got embodied the characters. the fact they could all be absolute idiots but your heart immediately goes out for them is just superb.

Scenes that come to mine is when Naoya admits why he is avoiding Rika at the festival and the look on her face and also when Shino confesses to Saki the secret she had been keeping.

These five are the dumbest polycule that I have ever seen and I love them more than anything.

1 and a half! I have a ibanagi scene I wanna work into the vampire AU I've recently published. Here's a few lines:

I also wanted to write a fic where Tori finds out about Yuzuru's past, before I left for vacation. But I'll see if I get the energy to write that again.

I think the implication is that Saki made good on her “I want a harem of pretty girls too,” line and is dating Nagisa and Shino. The ending is unfortunately rushed due to the author ending the series due to burnout. But hey, at least this is good fodder for fanfics. Like, what are Saki and Nagisa’s romantic interactions like, for example. Just some food for thought.

Right? That's how it seems, but it makes me sad that this subplot I anticipated from the beginning is being rushed like this. I really want/ed to see her confess to them or even just be like "what the heck, why not." It definitely gives room for fanfic. But rushed is definitely better than not including it at all.

My name is Shiro, and I’m looking for someone who’s just as self-indulgent and passionate as I am for reverse harems. I want someone who enjoys large amounts of men who want to romance our characters and can play upwards of 20 characters, as I will be doing the same. 

Info about me ~ I am a 22-year-old woman (she/her) who lives in EST. I am in university and work, so my responses will vary. However, I try to respond when I can, as role-playing is my hobby.

Vampire Knight
