The Triwizard Tournament was cancelled after all three Champions ended up dead. Two Hundred years later, it's brought back. The Event does not end up being the only thing brought back. Anne-Charolette Edevane died looking down a Chimera's throat. Myrtle Warren died meeting a Basilisk's eyes. Nicholas de Mimsy-Porpington died staring at his son. Harry Potter lived, blinking green spots out of his eyes.

  Harry Potter gets voluntold for the Triwizard Tournament and asks for help. He doesn't expect it to come, it hasn't before, but he soon ends up haunted. He's more surprised that he's surprised that it happened, when it does. Hindsight is 20/20 and all that. If Harry Potter lives drenched in death (His parents are dead, anyone he befriends is in danger by proximity, he's famous for not dying when he should have.) then befriending ghosts is... honestly a step he should have taken years ago.

i'm gonna go insane

whenever i watch the opening of wreck it ralph i can't help but wonder ... ok so originally and for years i've always thought the other bad guys just didn't fully understand how much shit ralph has gone through for his entire life and they have better lives which i think is in parts still true , as they do appear to have get-togethers often and they seemingly have other friends while ralph had no one , but i unfortunately don't feel like that's the extent of it and that there's more to it than that .

on one rewatch something about their phrasing bothered me ... 'we've all felt what you're feeling and we've come to terms with it' like this could either - again - mean just that 'we didn't exactly like doing bad things but as bad guys it's our job to' but then i thought ... what if they also experienced a similar situation of mistreatment by their good guys and npcs ? what if they still experience that ? but it's just easier to deal with because they all have each other ? if bad-anon isn't just for 'im bad and that's good' but like the only place they find acceptance ?? bc like when ralph is walking home from pac-man's , the other characters he comes across say 'bad guy coming' like ??? do all bad guys experience this ??? but we just don't get to see it ??? ralph is the only one stopped by surge protector in the instances we see but who's to say the other bad guys don't get stopped on occasion too and we just don't see it ? or maybe they're let off easier bc they've 'accepted their place' . oh my god .

and at the end of the movie , ralph is treated better by the nicelanders , which is good ofc , but how are the other bad guys doing ??? if they've been through something similar , are they being treated better too ??? i sure hope so ... like maybe there was like some kind of meeting offscreen like 'hey can we stop outcasting bad guys for just doing their jobs please' idk ... i just have a horrible terrible feeling there's no way the other bad guys aren't facing or at the very least have faced similar discrimination . it's just easier to deal with bc they've had to forge a community to support eachother . because no one else will give them the respect after-hours . im sure someone else has mentioned this before idk i just need to get it out b4 i lose my mind

i was basically just thinking about this the entire day -it was NOT productive wow. but these are my thoughts after having some hours to think about it.

purely from a football perspective, i kinda understand why the bengals are willing to trade trey.

yes, trey was the best person on our defense. easily the best. but. umm. the defense still sucked.

i'm not saying trey is bad -i think he's great, dpoy!- but i do think the nature of defense is that it doesn't rely on one person as much as offense does. we can lean on joemarrtee to put up gaudy numbers even with a shit o-line and no true wr3 (sorry yoshi), but this past season shows that having just one (really really good) pass rusher does not equal a serviceable defense.

so i can (reluctantly) understand why the bengals are willing to say 'ok trey go test the market' just bc i can see how two or three above-average d-line men, can add more to the defense than one awesome edge rusher.

i actually think the age thing is bullshit, because trey hasn't shown any sign of slowing down yet so why operate under that assumption? but i do understand why it is a Factor in a lot of people's opinions, that like it or not, past 30 is where most players start to fall off. and also since we are already getting rid of most of the vets, i get the idea of 'go all in on the youth'.

to add onto the youth part, this draft class is being hyped up as one of the best de/dt classes in years, so like. if ever there was a year to consider doing this? at least we're not just relying on free agents?

all that to say: on principle, i don't absolutely hate the idea of trading trey.

BUT trading trey likely gets us picks in return (maybe a first, probably a second from what i've seen), and i am just not confident in this team's drafting ability. i'm just not. the entire point behind trading a player, is that you'll be able to replace said player in the draft, and for all everyone is gushing about this year's draft, i don't think there's a trey just hiding out at #17.

there's also the locker room. we're already losing a LOT of leadership this year with sam retiring, mike h (allegedly) not resigning, germaine being traded/cut. if trey leaves... well, i feel like bj and logan's tweets are enough of an example of how other members on the defense would feel. and we really really cannot afford any tension in the locker room holy cow.

and finally, on a personal note: i like trey. i don't want to see him go.

She's all caught up in keeping her people safe after they've been enslaved for generations and then in waltzes the world's shadiest boy, about to wreck havoc across the heldlands and expedite all her plans by several decades

Been feeling the growing pains full force lately. Absolutely not perfect, but so much of the shit that used to make me feel anxious isn’t making me feel anxious anymore. Maybe it’s bc I’m at a period of my life where I’ve had the most freedom w how to structure my time, and it’s a transitional period of intense studying and commitment to so many things that are fairly new to me, but I could genuinely only liken it to staring into a flame for an hour and just feeling the brain fog clearing. It’s just been so much easier to put things into perspective lately. And I could confidently say that this is the most I’ve known myself & been unapologetically me. I’ve been trailblazing my own path as opposed to listening to other opinions, and it has never felt more right. It’s so hard to be swayed when for once I know exactly how I fit in the jigsaw

I know the writers were in a bind with having powerhouses like Lucifer and Alastor both on the playing field at the same time. But, idk, to me, Lucifer coming late to the party feels less like a triumphant entrance and more like “where the f were you.” If Lucifer and Alastor were both there at the start, it would’ve made more sense for Lucifer’s character as he is trying to do better and be there for Charlie, and has no excuse for being late, but then the fight would’ve been two on one and there would’ve been no justifiable reason for why Adam couldn’t get defeated by both of them. So, maybe have another player on the field? Sera entering the fight? Or Lucifer getting kidnapped into heaven and forced to watch his daughter fight while he’s helpless to do anything until he convinces Sera to let him go? Idk. Cause his presence also undermined Charlie’s arc a bit imo.

Charlie has been sheltered by the two people closest to her: Vaggie and Lucifer. I think I would’ve liked a moment where Charlie is in a bind and this distracts Vaggie who automatically goes to protect her, but Charlie rallies harder, and Vaggie is shown that Charlie can also protect herself (maybe this happened in the show but I missed it? Cause they did split up at one point. I should rewatch the ep lol). I know they split up during the battle, but I kind of would’ve liked this part of their dynamic at least nodded to directly for the sake of their character arcs. And then with Lucifer, if he had to be in the fight, then have Lucifer raring to go, about to destroy Adam, but Charlie stops him and holds her own instead while Lucifer watches proudly. Or, somehow have Lucifer on the backfoot at one point because it’s been so long since he fought anyone, at first he’s overconfident or trying to appear confident, as he should be stronger than Adam, but Adam has been fighting for longer, more consistently, and maybe he’s had some kind of blessing to make him stronger. Have Lucifer taken off guard, and then have Charlie save his ass, clobbering Adam while he’s distracted, Adam who has always underestimated her, and then they defeat him together or something. Idk, just something to satisfy my personal need for Charlie to prove that she doesn’t always need to be sheltered or protected, that it’s fine to have support, but that those supporting her also make themselves vulnerable by doing so. I also feel like if Vaggie or Lucifer were hurt while protecting Charlie, she would definitely have some complex about that.
