this is such a tiny stupid petty dumb sticking point but why do people act like hot-water baths are ludicrously unrealistic in a DnD setting no matter what the setting or context actually is

one time in melliwyk's campaign we were staying in a luxury inn in a dwarven stronghold partially populated by warforged and built inside a volcano and each room had its own private bath with running water on tap and when I/ melliwyk was like 'hot water? 👀' the DM gave me a scathingly incredulous 'no??' like that was the world's dumbest question

that's two decades apart. how are you making an AU about time periods you know nothing about. why are you referencing the 30s for the 50s what are you DOING

she would start in light pastels and as the story continues her color palette gets darker. green because that’s her color. also she would EAT IT UP in a snood.

regulus black:

he usually keeps it pretty simple to maintain practicality and avoid drawing access attention to himself. last one would be more of a ceremonial dress.

james potter:

you can’t put james potter in a historical au and not put him in leather. it’s just physically impossible actually.

remus and sirius:

they are both cardinals so this is what their vestments look like. but also i found this photo and it is actually perfectly their vibe (like do i even need to say who is who) so this is what they would dress like when they aren’t being cardinally. remus would also walk with a wooden cane.
