Chukkers with the Will Rogers Polo Club
What does one wear to a polo match? I assume this is everyone’s question, as it was mine, when faced with the possibility of attending an actual polo match. Not water polo, not a Polo outlet store, but actual polo. With horses. The answer, as to what to wear, is a solid, “whatever you want.” Which is somehow disappointing considering my only real relationship to the game is a shirt. If you want…

The article is in Spanish, but it's a very trustworthy source from Argentina. That Roger was a fucking leech, hope he rots in jail
https://www. infobae. com/sociedad/policiales/2024/11/08/pesos-argentinos-para-comprar-droga-negocios-en-comun-y-dias-libres-el-oscuro-control-de-rogelio-nores-sobre-liam-payne/
This is so fucking disturbing. I know fans have had a bad feeling about Roger for a while. It sounds like they weren’t wrong.
Today, Nores is charged with abandoning Liam Payne and killing him , as well as supplying and facilitating him with drugs, in a relationship that sources in the case describe as “almost Maradona-esque, a friend of the champion , like those who surrounded Diego at his worst .” To charge him, Madrea and his team analyzed 800 hours of footage from the CasaSur hotel and opened Liam’s phone. In addition, they took a large number of testimonies, including that of Liam’s father, Geoff Payne.
Liam's father said the same thing that the courts were able to confirm through the analysis of communications and the comparison of other testimonies: that Nores, after meeting Payne in Miami at the beginning of this year, became the force that dominated his life. If the Payne family wanted to know how the singer was, then they should contact Rogelio. He was not just another friend of Liam's, under any circumstances. Geoff Payne himself said it: "Roger" was always the intermediary. "He is better than ever," he would have told the family when asked.
And this explains the charge of abandonment of a person. It is not about the fact that the businessman did not come to the singer's aid, but about the long road that led to the CasaSur hotel.
The businessman would have become a sort of de facto manager . Although they did not have a specific contract in this regard, sources in the case say that Nores operated as an "investment advisor" and that they had business in common in view of Payne's possible return to the world stage. For this, the singer's recovery from his addiction to drugs and alcohol was key. He just had to be detoxified.
Nores accompanied Payne in a deep detoxification treatment in the United States. There, a psychiatrist prescribed sertraline, the antidepressant that was found in the toxicology test on the singer's body. The specialist said it clearly: if you mix alcohol and cocaine with sertraline, the result can be lethal.
Then, another treatment in Spain was carried out, which also failed. So they ended up in Argentina. Payne was put up in a prestigious five-star hotel that was used to hosting big rock stars. They kicked him out of there. They even visited a local psychiatrist, who testified in the file. After the five-star hotel, they both went to the Patagones polo club with the singer's last girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, where the singer was photographed wearing a helmet and heels on a horse. They spent a few days there. However, Payne quickly became nervous and left the place.
Thus, they arrived at the CasaSur hotel in Palermo on the Sunday before the death. Liam did not even have a bag. There, according to the testimonies and analysis that are part of the case of the prosecutor Madrea, Nores' control would have been much more evident, with alleged orders to the hotel staff to report each expense. Nores, this time, managed Payne's expenses , while receiving calls for each whiskey, champagne or tequila that the former One Direction member ordered, with physical money delivered at the reception. The evidence also speaks of "free days" when Liam could consume cocaine.
The day he died, precisely, was a “day off.”
Thus, Nores frequently returned to the hotel to top up the bill. Payne, meanwhile, insisted on the phone, asking for Argentine pesos to pay the dealers who offered him cocaine, with photos of the bags they offered him and the corresponding prices. The prosecution suspects that Nores had obtained cocaine for him himself, which led to the second charge against him.
Meanwhile, hotel cameras filmed Liam as he wandered the halls , drunk and with a distant look.
For the time being, Nores is free, with his passport handed over to the courts and a ban on leaving the country, while he awaits being summoned for questioning by Judge Laura Bruniard. Article 106 of the Criminal Code, which defines the crime of abandonment followed by death, speaks of “anyone who endangers the life or health of another, either by placing him or her in a situation of helplessness, or by abandoning to their fate a person who is incapable of taking care of himself or who must be maintained or cared for, or who the author himself has incapacitated .” Here, the alleged supply of narcotics plays a key role.
If convicted, he could face up to 15 years in prison. Given the amount of the sentence, the crime is not bailable.

Hi! May I request where Steve Rogers thought his soulmate is Peggy Carter but then many years later, he meets his real soulmate, reader who is the little sister of Bruce banner
DISCLAIMER: NOT BAISED ON ANY THING IN THE FILMS, EVERYTHING IVE WRITTEN HERE IS MADE TO MAKE THIS ONE SHOT MAKE SENSE!!
It had been three months now since things ended with Steve and Peggy. Three months. Three months of Steve mopping around the tower and whining and moaning over Peggy. Three whole months. The rest of the team have finally had enough of the man baby, and forced him to go out, to find someone new. He believed Peggy was his soulmate, but that was until he saw your silhouette from across the bar.
He sat at the bar, whiskey in hand, admiring you from across the room. Your silky hair flowed seamlessly with your smooth dance moves. He could tell you were laughing at something one of your girlfriends said as you smiled so brightly it lit up the room. The music was blasting too loud to hear your laugh and as much as he wanted to he did not need to, he just knew it sounded like heaven on earth.
A wave of disgust surged through his body and he took his eyes off you. What kind of a man was he? Gawking over some chick in a bar, while he was still in love with his ex! He missed Peggy, he really did, but watching you dance like no body was watching made him forget all about her.
He looked back up and he couldn’t see you, he look around but you wasn’t on the dance floor anymore. Shit. He downed his drink, turned around and ordered another, he’d completely lost his chance to speak to you. All of a sudden he felt a warm presence next to him and a sound that sounded like the purest angel God could create. It was you. His heart started pounding, he never thought he could feel this way for another woman but here you were. You were standing next to him, a little out of breath, your black hair sticking to your forehead. Steve had been admiring you all night, coming up with different ways to approach you, making up the conversations you two would have and now you’re stood next him, in a skimpy strappy black dress, he was speechless. Completely and utterly speechless. Once again, completely in a trance from your beauty, he snapped back into reality and you were walking away.
Not thinking straight, Steve got up from his seat, took two big strides and grabbed your wrists. He realised that probably wasn’t the best way to get your attention when you turned around, eyebrows furrowed.
He let go, “God I’m so sorry,” he took a step back to show he was of no threat, “ I just want to say,-“
Your voice cut him off with confidence, “You know a big, muscular man like you shouldn’t be going around grabbing onto girls wrists” You said running a hand down the side of his arm.
You were clearly drunk but Steve still offered to buy you a drink and you graciously accepted. “So tell me what a pretty girl like you is doing dancing in a club in a dress like that?” He asked leaving in closer to you, as you both sat at the bar.
“Why don’t you tell me what you’re doing here at a bar by yourself, how comes an attractive man like you hasn’t got a girl by his side?” Your voice laced with lust. Steve’s face hardened, he leaned back a bit. You’d hit a sensitive spot. “Shit I’m sorry, just got dumped?”
“Yeah you could say something like that.” Steve said bluntly not wanting to get into it too much. Even though he could already tell he was falling madly in love with you, and wanted to forget about Peggy so so badly, he had been with her for five years now. Ending a relationship like that isn’t easy at all.
You got the hint he didn’t want to talk about it anymore and you got the perfect idea on how to change the topic. Maybe it was the alcohol in your system or the fact you’re a genius but you knew how to make him immediately forget about whatever girl was stupid enough to break his heart. You leaned in closer. Grabbed the collar of his polo shirt and whispered in his ear seductively, “How about I show you a way to make you forget everything about her?” You locked eyes with Steve, his quickly darting to your plump lips. Without a second thought you leaned it connecting your lips with his. It started off passionate and slow, moving perfectly in sync. Until, he grabbed the edge of your stool bringing your bodies even closer to before, before cupping the sides of your face with big hands. The kiss got more heated, teeth starting to clash together. However it all came to and end when both you of you had to release from each other for air.
Both slightly out of breath, Steve said with a slight chuckle, “We’ve kissed but I don’t even know your name”
Looking down to the floor and giggling you looked back up as he moved a strand of your hair behind your ear and told him.
“Y/N Banner”
His hand dropped from your face.
He’s fucked up big time.

These are some of the proofs that the Justice has and can help to understand Nores charges . The article was posted a month ago.
Highlights:
If the Payne family wanted to know how the singer was, then they should contact Rogelio. He wasn't just a friend of Liam's, from any point of view. Geoff Payne himself said it: "Roger" was always the intermediary. "He is better than ever," he allegedly told the relatives when they asked how Liam was.
And here the imputation for abandonment of a person is explained. It is not that the businessman did not come to the singer's aid, but the long road that led to the CasaSur hotel.
Nores become a kind of manager. Although they did not have a specific contract in this regard, sources of the case assure that Nores operated as an "investment advisor" and that they had common businesses in sight, in view of Payne's possible return to the world stage. For this, the singer's recovery from his addiction to drugs and alcohol was key. He just had to be clean.
Nores accompanied Payne on a deep detox treatment in the United States. There, a psychiatrist indicated sertraline, the antidepressant that was found in the toxicological test on the singer's body. The specialist said it clearly; if alcohol and cocaine are mixed with sertraline, the result can be lethal.
Then, another treatment occurred in Spain, which did not work either. Then, they arrived to Argentina. Payne was hosted by a prestigious five-star hotel used to receiving rock stars. He was kicked out .
They even visited a local psychiatrist, who testified in the file. After the five-star hotel, both went to the Patagones polo club with the singer's last girlfriend, Kate Cassidy, where the singer was photographed with a helmet and heel on a horse. They spent a few days there. However, Payne got nervous quickly and left the place.
Afterwards, they arrived at the CasaSur hotel in Palermo on the Sunday before death. Liam didn't even have a bag. There, according to the testimonies and analyzes that are part of the case of the prosecutor Madrea, the control of Nores have been much more evident, with alleged orders to the hotel staff to report each expense. Nores, this time, handled Payne's expenses, while receiving calls for each whiskey, champagne or tequila that the former One Direction asked for, with physical money delivered at the reception. The evidence also speaks of "days off", where Liam could use cocaine.
Nores frequently returned to the hotel to recharge the bill. Payne, meanwhile, insisted on the phone asking him for Argentine pesos to pay the dealers who offered him cocaine, with photos of the bags they offered him and the prices. The prosecutor's office in the case suspects that Nores would have gotten him cocaine himself, which earned him the second charge against him.

Ooooo you wanna read my really long timeline/headcanons for Roger Paladino oooo oooo
Mother and Father were history buffs and often gave Roger gifts that were related to that. Most of the time being about legends from New Jersey, sparking the interest in cryptids Roger would take on.
Initially mostly interested in any kind of folklore, he started to hone in on specifically creatures as a teenager, and would spend a long time researching them while his parents worked
He was always sociable but hadn’t found anyone that stuck with him due to his intense hyperfixation on cryptozoology and myths, and how he could just ramble for hours, not many kids in his school enjoyed it.
Going to college and starting the zine was the first time he had found a group of people that clicked with him and he loved it
He and Linnie ended up becoming best friends, they’d often be the ones staying late to get issues out, or just generally hanging out after the official club hours were up
He has many many scars and scrapes from his adventures looking for cryptids, a pretty sturdy guy when it came to that stuff.
Entering college he started to dress more on the formal side so people would take the zine more seriously (button downs and polos) but before that he was exclusively a graphic T and jeans guy (band shirts/videogames/cryptid/horror shirts you get the vibes)
Dated Linnie for a short time but they broke up mutually after figuring out that they really were just best friends
Roger figured out he was gay (stays closeted) and his first real crush was on Vinnie 🙁
He was more focused on telling people about what he saw and documenting it for other enthusiasts, not for any kind of clout or to prove they were real.
He barely even bothered photographing anything he saw, the stress of trying to capture something good took away from the moment of seeing the supernatural. He’d rather have a good experience and tell people about it, than have someone pick apart a photograph to tell him it was fake.
Surprisingly enough he seemed to attract that sort of thing, but skirted the edge of being involved to where they just left him alone..... Until he met Vincent.
After Vinnies disappearance, Roger took it upon himself to figure out what happened. He dedicated the rest of his college years to it, Vinnies photo and story was printed on every Zine issue from then on.
He became a Crime scene investigator after college and was great at his job, but was always focused on figuring out the Vinnie situation, which was what got him noticed by the Habit.
He was kind and welcoming to people who were grieving, though sometimes would be too pushy with his questions relating to the situations and would often be scolded for upsetting people if he thought he was onto something
His choice to go into this line of work broke him off from his friends, especially Linnie. He didn’t mind, since it meant not getting them involved. He knew he’d probably be killed. But leaving them behind was difficult and he turned to drinking and smoking to cut some of the edge off from both that and how much tragedy he had to come face to face with.
The Habit essentially left him a bread crumb trail leading directly to itself, and his death.
Most of Rogers' adult life was in line with what Habit wanted to happen to him, he was so focused on trying to take it down he never realized how convenient everything that had been laid out was.
He died right after finishing the blog post.
The Habit had played the Audio recordings of what happened to Vincent back to him before he was killed, but not enough to give him the full story. He died minutes away from having the answers he wanted.
In his death he regretted never getting revenge for all the people the habit hurt, and for getting all of the people in the team he brought in massacred for nothing.
The murder was ruled a suicide. Everyone took it at face value given how erratic he’d always been, and how he had practically no one close enough to know that couldn’t have been the case.
Despite the years-long hiatus it had been on. Linnie ran a final issue of the Zine after Roger's death, featuring work he’d never finished due to his focus on Vinnies disappearance.

New details about the ongoing investigation published today. Seems like it's gonna take a while until justice is served. As an Argentinian, I'm angry this happened here because the justice system is super bad and slow. I want justice for Liam and closure for his family 🙏🏻😞
www. infobae. com/sociedad/policiales/2024/11/30/el-padre-de-liam-payne-entrego-a-la-justicia-la-principal-prueba-para-imputar-a-rogelio-nores-por-la-muerte-del-cantante/
All of this is so bizarre. Literally every time a new report is released, there's a change in the story. He had sex with the women. No, he didn't. He used a whole bunch of different drugs. No, he didn't. He had trace amounts in his system. No, he didn't. Roger was there. No, he wasn't.
The only clear thing IMO is that Roger is really fucking shady, and he's doing everything he can not to be indicted in this case.
Also, my favorite line in this article is "The croissants were politely rejected."
Liam had started drinking whiskey at 6 a.m. that day, according to the investigators' reconstruction based on information recovered from hotel records. He then drank champagne with the prostitutes from the Buenos Aires towns of El Talar and Isidro Casanova whom he invited to his room, with whom he had sex and then caused a minor scandal in the lobby by not paying them. He consumed cocaine throughout the day; the toxicological analysis carried out by the Forensic Medical Corps of the Supreme Court revealed metabolites of the drug that indicate consumption at least two hours before death. The drug was in his urine, his blood, in his gastric contents, in his nasal passages. The toxicological analysis also revealed another substance: sertraline, a powerful antidepressant, sold in the United States under the brand name Zoloft. Sertraline was found to be present in Liam's blood and stomach contents at the time of his death , according to toxicology . Alcohol consumption with sertraline is strongly contraindicated; it can lead to hallucinations, including suicidal thoughts.
[...]
During his stay in Argentina, Nores accompanied Payne to an important five-star hotel in the Recoleta area, from which he was thrown out, then to an apartment on Armenia Street - which was raided by the courts - later to a polo club and finally to the CasaSur hotel, where Payne checked in at around midnight on October 13. According to the indictment, Nores allegedly controlled Payne's spending, providing him with money to buy drugs and authorizing orders for whiskey and champagne reported from the hotel's front desk, with "allowed days" for drinking and drug use, despite the neuropsychiatrist's strict instructions. Nores even became an intermediary in communication between Liam and his family.
The narrative of sources close to Nores attempts to shift the blame onto the hotel employees in the face of this possibility, even claiming that Liam tried to escape, when the forensic experts determined that he was, at best, in a semi-conscious state at the time of his death. A charge of manslaughter, however, would not alleviate the businessman's situation. [...] Last Thursday, Nores showed up at Court No. 34 with a smile. He brought a dozen croissants for the staff. He was trying to recover a woman’s phone and laptop. The devices had been seized in a raid on her home. According to Nores, the woman was “not even mentioned in the case.” The croissants were politely rejected.

DESK SET (1957) THE SPENCER TRACY LEGACY: A TRIBUTE BY KATHARINE HEPBURN (1986)
Dear Spence—who ever thought that I’d be writing you a letter. You died on the 10th of June in 1967. My golly, Spence, that’s fifteen, no that's eighteen years ago. That’s a long time. Are you happy finally? Is it a nice long rest you’re having? Making up for all your tossing and turning in life. You know, I never believed you when you said that you just couldn’t get to sleep. I thought, Oh—come on—you sleep—if you didn’t sleep you’d be dead. You’d be so worn out. Then remember that night when—oh, I don’t know, you felt so disturbed. And I said, Well, go on in—go to bed. And I’ll lie on the floor and talk you to sleep. I’ll just talk and talk and you’ll be so bored, you’re bound to drift off. Well, I went in and got an old pillow and Lobo the dog. I lay there watching you and stroking Old Dog. I was talking about you and the movie we’d just finished—Guess Who’s Coming to Dinner—and my studio and your new tweed coat and the garden and all the nice sleep-making topics and cooking and dull gossip, but you never stopped tossing—to the right, to the left—shove the pillows—pull the covers—on and on and on. Finally—really finally—not just then—you quieted down. I waited a while—and then I crept out. You told me the truth, didn’t you, Spence? You really could not sleep. And I used to wonder then—why? Why, Spence? I still wonder. You took the pills. They were quite strong. I suppose you have to say that otherwise you would never have slept at all. Living wasn’t easy for you, was it? What did you like to do? You loved sailing, especially in stormy weather. You loved polo. But then Will Rogers was killed in that airplane accident. And the fun went out of it for you, didn't it? You never played polo again—never again. Tennis, golf, swimming, no, not really. You’d bat a few balls. Fair you were. I don’t think that you ever swang a golf club. Is “swang” a word? Swimming? Well, you didn’t like cold water. And walking? No, that didn’t suit you. That was one of those things where you could think at the same time—of this, of that, of what, Spence? What was it? Was it some specific life thing like Johnny being deaf, or being a Catholic and you felt a bad Catholic? No comfort, no comfort. I remember Father Ciklic telling you that you concentrated on all the bad and none of the good which your religion offered. It must have been something very fundamental, very ever-present. And the incredible fact. There you were—really the greatest movie actor. I say this because I believe it and I have heard many people of standing in our business say it. From Olivier to Lee Strasberg to David Lean. You name it. You could do it. And you could do it with that glorious simplicity, that directness: you could just do it. You couldn’t enter your own life, but you could be someone else. You were a killer, a priest, a fisherman, a sportswriter, a judge, a newspaperman. You were it in a moment. You hardly had to study. You learned the lines in no time. What a relief! You could be someone else for a while. You weren’t you—you were safe. You loved to laugh, didn’t you? You never missed those individual comics: Jimmy Durante, Phil Silvers, Fanny Brice, Frank McHugh, Mickey Rooney, Jack Benny, Burns and Allen, Smith and Dale, and your favorite, Bert Williams. Funny stories: you could tell them—and brilliantly. You could laugh at yourself. You enjoyed very, very much the friendship and admiration of people like the Kanins, Frank Sinatra, Bogie and Betty, George Cukor, Vic Fleming, Stanley Kramer, the Kennedys, Harry Truman, Lew Douglas. You were fun with them, you had fun with them, you felt safe with them. But then back to life’s trials. Oh hell, take a drink—no-yes-maybe. Then stop taking the drink. You were great at that, Spence. You could just stop. How I respected you for that. Very unusual. Well, you said on this subject: never safe until you’re seven feet underground. But why the escape hatch? Why was it always opened—to get away from the remarkable you? What was it, Spence? What was it? I meant to ask you. Did you know what it was? What did you say? I can’t hear you. . .

Polo is one of my favorite sports. It’s also the only sport that I taught the rules of to myself. I was lucky enough to live near Will Rogers Polo Club in Pacific Palisades California and I got to experience real games and events for Polo fanatics. The photo above is from my 16th birthday party which was at the polo field you rented out the sidelines and garbage tables, had a cake and more. Polo is like a mixture of soccer and horseback riding which is why I love it so much. I always grew up with a really strong soccer background so having a horse alternative was amazing!!
