the reason that Mario and sonic at the olympics isn’t a thing anymore is in fact bc eggman and bowser were secretly dating but bowser broke up with eggman bc he was a terrible stepfather to bowser jr and is trying to file for custody of metal and sage. eggman refuses to admit he’s ever failed at parenting and is now insisting bowser's the bad parent and his kids are fine bowser jr is just spoiled and in fact it's terrible parenting that bowser jr was never allowed to torture small animals for fun and wasn’t encouraged to protect his father at the cost of his own life and he should get custody of bowser jr instead. it’s a very messy legal battle and also a very messy battle battle thousands are dead mario and sonic decided that the olympics weren’t worth more bloodshed and cancelled the whole thing.

Hi! There are role swap AUs of them already and I love them so much, so I tried making my own too! You should know that this is entirely self-indulgent like anything else I draw askdaslds

There is Mareach and Bowuigi bc yes alskdklasd and a tiny bit of one-sided Luaisy that leads to nothing because Luigi's a married man 😔

I had other drawings of them, but they're not colored yet and I wanted to share the idea already sjsjs

Here's some ideas for this AU!

-Mario's the Mushroom Kingdom Princess and his parents are the King and Queen. Luigi used to be the other princess, green princess or green princess Mario (as in, his bro Mario, not his last name Mario 😔), but he married Bowser and became the Queen of the Darklands :y Everyone in there respects and remembers his name, he's built a really good reputation for himself by simply being himself, in this house we believe in the 'Luigi is the Darklands' hero' hc too. Their aunt and uncles (and cousin) rule Sarasaland.

-(King boo's a Darklands ally but still hates Queen Luigi from that one time he wiped clean his mansion when the king kidnapped Mario. Luigi's scared of ghosts still too, but Junior always reassures him he's gonna beat them up if they try scaring his mama (I drew it actually, I'm gonna color it too!))

-When the bros were 20 Bowser at first tried kidnapping Princess Mario, and Mario was ready to beat his ass but they ended up talking about ally-making and ruling a kingdom as Bowser just got crowned king. Mario advised him to listen to his advisor and other stuff and by the time Luigi caught the koopa ship, ready to bonk Bowser in the head with his comically large hammer, the princess and king made plans of starting a treaty.

>Anyways, they met often after that when Bowser went to plan the treat with the Mario King and Queen. Luigi fell for Bowser and Bowser fell harder and Mario regretted talking to Bowser and should have instead just beat him up. He's happy for his bro though. When they married and had Junior and adopted the koopalings he decided that he was very happy that he talked to Bowser. He loves how happy Luigi is.

-Princess Mario accomplishes many things and excels at almost anything he tries, and all the toads treat him as a hero as well as a princess and all, so his dad doesn't think he's a failure, but still bothers him by urging him to get married ever since he turned thirty. He often compares him to Luigi, who got married at 23 and in the present had eight kids with his husband. Mario doesn't give a shit about marrying soon, but wished his dad would stop being annoying. His mamma is a sweetheart as always and often tells her husband to leave him alone. King Mario is stubborn as hell though (his two boys got that from him), so he doesn't.

-Peach and Daisy are cousins and they were trying to start a business together, though they weren't still sure about what (you know as Princess Peach and Daisy have many businesses together in canon aksdla), but before they could settle anything they somehow fell in the pipe and Peach landed in the Mushroom Kingdom and Daisy in the Darklands.

-Bowser still steals the Super Star, but in hopes of giving Luigi the coolest anniversary gift ever, as it's their seventh and all that. He very often gives him all sort of things, like great statues, many many dresses and all the stuff that he knows Luigi loves. Being the himbo he is, he's genuinely concerned that Luigi wouldn't like something unless it is completely new and has never been gifted to him at all. Of course, Luigi would love anything he'd give him, because Bowser's gifts are always made with love. By the end of the things, Luigi tells Bowser so and calls him an idiot affectionally, and also makes him return the Super Star. (movie-like, you know, since this is somehow a retelling alksdlasd)

-Based on what I read at discord, if you're who wrote it, pls know that i love your ideas jsjs- Bowser has set up many statues of Luigi that are of a nice stone color and has gems in its eyes to glow under the lava and the sun when it's out. Imagine that one Luigi render where he's got an arm raised and the other nicely by his side and he's smiling, that's the main statue of Queen Luigi sjjds. They contrast greatly against Bowser's, that were made to make his fierceness stand out, unlike Luigi's that highlight his kindness.

-In the piano scene, Bowser is playing and singing and Luigi's laying on his stomach over the piano's surface (no idea if that's possible but humor me alkdalsd) and listens with the most besotted expression ever, resting his face on his palms. When Kamek interrupts them Luigi's not mad or anything, but Bowser really glares at the magikoopa.

-Junior finds Daisy and brings her to the castle, in hopes that his mama and papa will help her, because they're the greatest people in the whole world and they can do anything.

-Daisy and Luigi quickly become friends, making Bowser jealous of the other human, especially because Daisy from time to time looks at Luigi as if she like-liked him. Not that he thought Luigi had eyes for anyone else beside him, but it was still annoying. And Diasy, for all she annoyed him, seemed to fully respect that Luigi was happily married.

-Daisy teases Bowser mercilessly too, at first clueless that she's supposed to be terrified and respect this guy like everyone else does (maybe Junior takes her to him first, and completely forgetting Junior's initial rambling about his family, she doesn't realize Bowser's the king, but when she meets Luigi, she sees his crown and fancy clothes and immediately knows she gotta be respectful to this guy. She doesn't know how royals are in this lava world, after all), but she keeps doing it, knowing the koopa king may look terrifying but he's mostly bark and no bite.

-DK and Mario are friends and they often meet up to beat the shit out of the other, or sparring as it's called, I think. The first time they did it, Mario got the cat power up and destroyed DK in front of the kong king and other kongs, and since then Cranky doesn't dislike Mario so much, and the others respect him greatly too.

-Mareach,,, they look at eachother and sparkles are in there too. Peach doesn't brutally throw Mario to the ground or anything, but he loses his breath anyways because of her beauty. Also, Mario's type is beautiful tall women (and tall idiot men, maybe his dad suggests DK as a husband and Mario's like ew dad, we're just friends. Or maybe... Donkareach... I like the fics that has them, but idk for this).

-Toad as a wingman, he doesn't care how obvious he is, he's gonna make Princess Mario and his new friend Peach be together, because they clearly like-like the other.

So I find it a little odd that Mario shakes his brother's hand like he's trying to win political office rather than having just been rescued (again) from one of King Boo's paintings at the end of Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon.

But then I was thinking - this might be a kind of instinctual response.

From what we can gather over the three games, being stuck in a painting isn't a passive experience, but one that is disturbing, disorientating, and mostly likely tantamount to torture.

And given King Boo's abilities, who knows what kind of environment he has dropped his victims into with these settings. The landscapes, you might say. There's no definite background in any of the trapped paintings, ghost or otherwise, but it does beg the question of what can be felt, seen, heard, or otherwise perceived by someone who is trapped in a portrait. Does the hunter create the cage, enrichment area and all, or are the trappings beyond the frame (inside the frame) more akin to being trapped within one's mind and all the pitfalls that could emerge from that?

We see three iterations of Mario being freed from the painting in each game. The first being total confusion and possible injury; the second looking like some kind of hallucination, given Luigi's concerned expression; and the third being a form of decorporalization (not a real word, but whatever), as Mario seems shocked to learn he has a body again.

The first might be attributed to King Boo's insistence of straight-up physical torture combined with E. Gadd's more medieval equipment, which had likely been less-than-tested in extracting someone from a portrait. (And if the de-portraiting process was that bad, imagine what it was like for the ghosts going in. No wonder they held a grudge. I love E. Gadd, but oh boi, is he the pinnacle morally ambiguous mad scientist).

Anyway, in the third installment, Mario definitely shows signs of having been disconnected from his physical form, perhaps meaning that his time inside the portrait reduced him to a neutered, mental representation of himself, incapable of fighting back in the real world. But this being said, he seems to recognize Luigi on-site, rushing forward to give him an enthusiastic hug, which is the reaction you'd expect after being freed from a pair of diabolical ghosts, one of whom is trying to thirst-trap the other through psychological torture.

So what's the deal with Mario's reaction in Dark Moon?

My guess is that King Boo trapped Mario in a painting that was a distorted reality, or perhaps a distorted version of Mario's own insecurities. It would account for the disorientation and the fact Mario comes out of the painting gladhanding his own brother like a stranger. (Which would also account for Luigi's concerned reaction - what the hell is my brother doing?)

And you figure, Mario, at this point, is a kind of figurehead, an idol, a hero of the Mushroom Kingdom. It's become his identity, it's who he is, it's what he does and is known for. Of course, part of this role is going around and shaking hands, being present - at least physically - at press conferences and speeches and all the like. The people need a focal point, a representation of their hopes against the violent and numerous incursions upon their land they suffer from outside forces (although in complete transparency, my personal headcanon is that Bowser's kingdom used to be comprised of at least a part of the Mushroom Kingdom, and that that land and sovereignty was stolen through a series of bad treaties by his father and some of the more malicious factions of the Toad Council, thus leading to both the enmity between the kingdoms and some serious economic and trade repercussions in the Darklands, but that's a whole other post.)

Mario must be so used to blindly shaking hands and putting up that front, that character, so much so that he doesn't even think about it anymore, and it's my theory that this is the version of Mario that emerges from the portrait in Dark Moon, perhaps having been wrested from some situation where this almost desperate attempt at approval was manifesting from Mario's own subconscious.

And poor Luigi. You have to wonder if one of his latent fears is becoming another empty face in the adoring crowd surrounding his brother. The Mario that emerges is not 100% connected to the fact he is Luigi's brother, it seems, is just putting on airs and the right words and actions as he may have been trained to do by the Toad Council. (Who, incidentally, are one of my favorite scapegoats in the series). Talk about a nightmare come to life.

It fits, in a way. Mario's first abduction results in physical harm, his second in mental, his third in more of a depersonalization - perhaps a rushed spell enacted by King Boo as he was, by the time of the whole hotel debacle, was far more preoccupied with his idea of trapping Luigi than enacting harm on anyone else beyond imprisonment. Because by the time Luigi's Manion 3 rolls around, King Boo is almost deranged in his obsession with Luigi, and I wouldn't be shocked if his non-existent heart wasn't into the nastier sides of portrait capture when it came to Luigi's friends and family. But oh boi, if he had captured Luigi in one of those paintings - good night, nurse.

Hear me out :

Bowser and Luigi dating yada yada, internally Mario is seething and holding back murder urges everytime he sees Bowser pawing at his sweet baby brother.

But! Anyone trying to mock or criticise them, he gets very snappy and acts very supportive of his brother's relationship.

"Mr Mario, what do you say about the rumours concerning your brother colluding with the Koopa King ? Aren't worried of a possible conspiracy?"

"I want you to come closer and repeat to my face that you think my brother could be a traitor. Go on."

Kamek : "Your pathetic brother will never be good enough for our king!"

Mario : "you're really questioning your king's taste ?? After everything he did for you?? You disgust me."

"Aren't you angry your brother is dating...you know..."

"What, a guy ? A Koopa ? Why, you got a problem with any of that ?"

Bowser : "Yesterday we had lunch at Luigi's home and his brother kept stabbing meatballs while staring straight at me. Then when we went for a walk at the market someone refused to sell me a thing, and before I could do anything Mario spent ten minutes making a scene about how rude, unprofessional and disrespectful that was. I guess, there was a lot of Italian and gestures involved. He ended up buying us a cake at another shop."

Some random Goomba on their coffee break in Bowser's castle: "yeah I don't think their relationship is gonna last, I mean it's clear that Luigi is too soft for the boss-"

Mario emerging from a potted plant with fire in his eyes : "what did you say 'bout my brother?? He's not good enough for a king, my brother ??"

Luigi, tearing up : "I'm so glad you and Bowser are getting along better..."

Mario : "Just to be sure, you two still aren't breaking up ?"

Luigi, deadpan : "No."

Mario : "Cazzo. Not even a little ?"

Honestly the thing that really stuck out to me about Luigi is that while he is very fearful, he is NOT insecure. He has no shame or embarrassment about the fact that his mom was basically the only person supporting the plumbing business (emotionally anyway) He doesn't let bullies get to him and he has a surprising amount of confidence in his own abilities, like when he was all "You just got Luigi'd!" to the Dry Bones or how he was still singing Mario's praises when interrogated by Bowser.

An interesting thing about the bros' dynamic is that Mario is insecure about how the world perceives him and extremely confident in his physical abilities. Meanwhile, Luigi is insecure about his own physical abilities while not giving much of a care about what the world thinks. Naysayers– if he doesn't owe them an apology, they haven't earned his trust, or they aren't threatening him with violence– aren't even on his radar.

Luigi gets belittled and called an idiot by his ex employer? He barely remembers. His biggest concern is that Mario nearly got into a fight with someone 3 times his size.

His uncles laugh at his and his brothers' commercial that they spent all their money on and are really proud of? He's not listening, he just wants to eat.

His tiny victories are, to him, big victories. He was the most ecstatic about the commercial when it was released, praising it as "cinema". A congratulatory call from his mom was worth bragging about openly, and when he tripped into a branch and smashed into the dry bones chasing him he reveled in that as major win, and not a lucky mistake. So it seems that, for all his anxiety and sad wet cat tendencies, Luigi is actually quite good at being kind to himself in many ways.

okay, time to actually type up my thoughts on this AU! With some new art to make it worth it.

for context, here's part one and part two.

so the basics are, Bowser is continually trying to conquer the city and being fought off by the bros, who do have superpowers (I thought about drawing lightning around Luigi's fist but I don't know how to make that look good in lineart) and costumes and "hero names," but don't hide their faces so they don't exactly have secret identities. It's more like being an actor with a stage name. Since they're fairly average-looking dudes they don't get recognized all the time, especially when they're apart, but Mario definitely does more often than Luigi.

But even when they're not recognized by the starbucks barista, people expect a lot of them. Not just stopping Bowser, but stopping everyday problems, rescuing cats from trees or standing in for a broken TV antenna. Eventually the pressure gets to Mario and he decides to fake his death and make a run for it. He's not really thinking clearly at the time and he regrets it almost immediately, but he can't bring himself to go back and face everyone's disappointment. He needs to figure himself out first.

He does at least contact Luigi as soon as he's out of the city to reassure him he's not dead. He doesn't tell him where he's going though, and Luigi can't contact him back, he has to wait for Mario to call, so Luigi does genuinely miss him and can fake grief when he needs to without too much prompting.

Bowser, meanwhile, was genuinely not expecting to "kill" his greatest rival. He never really wanted Mario dead, he just wanted the city! But he's not going to let this opportunity pass him by- Or so he thinks, until he's beaten into a pulp by the other hero that he usually forgot about.

Okay, fine, Bowser can still work with this. Heal up, regroup, give it another try- Aaaand this time he's ganged up on by three heroes he's never even seen before. What the heck is happening?

Turns out that without Mario's charismatic leader act keeping everyone reassured (and complacent), a bunch of people are stepping into the gap. Luigi, Peach, Daisy, probably more than one Toad or Yoshi... Bowser can't plan for this! They all have different powers, different strategies, different types of banter. He's overwhelmed.

So Bowser gets the idea that he needs just one hero to fight. Maybe with a sidekick, but still. That way he can time his cool speeches and minimize the amount he gets punched in the face. He already killed one of them, maybe if he works his way through the others one at a time he'll finally win. Eventually. Someday.

He gets the super crown disguise watch (I still haven't decided if there's a real guy whose appearance and name he is copying) and finds his first hero. Mario's sidekick. Should be the easiest one to fight, right? Bowser just needs to convince him that it's better for everyone if the city only has one hero at a time. It's about continuity. It'll reassure them. Give them a symbol.

Unfortunately for Bowser (and fortunately for us) Luigi is way too nice a guy to chase off some random bear person just for recognizing him and having Opinions about all this hero stuff. Luigi talks to him, addresses his concerns, answers his questions, and the guy is actually surprisingly willing to listen. Most people who try to tell him how to do his job don't care about facts and logic!

Next thing Bowser knows, he's been invited for coffee next week. That's... fine, right? This is progress! It's not a date, it's just getting close to his target! And it's definitely not a problem that Luigi is really cute and sweet and patient and has big blue eyes and a nice smile and the warmth of his handshake lingered for the rest of the afternoon...

A few months passed , and Cherry could go into labor at any minutes and then one day.. In the living room of Bowser’s Castle. Bowser and Cherry are seated on their couch, chatting peacefully. Suddenly, Cherry places a hand on her stomach and winces, feeling a sudden pain.

Cherry: breathing heavily 

"Bowser… I think… it’s time!"

Bowser: sits up, alert but calm 

"You mean… now?"

Cherry: with a nervous smile and a small sigh

 "Yes… our baby is coming!"

Bowser’s face lights up, but he remains composed. Around them, however, it’s a different story. The castle stirs with general excitement and panic. Servants murmur anxiously, a Goomba drops a stack of blankets, and a Koopa Troopa nearly trips while making a quick turn. Other servants scurry around, uncertain about what to do.

Bowser: in an authoritative tone, raising his hand 

"Calm down, everyone! This isn’t our first baby, so let’s show some nerve!"

The servants freeze, listening attentively, impressed by Bowser’s confidence.

Bowser: pointing at the Goombas 

"Goombas! Get some blankets and warm water for Cherry. turning to the Koopa Troopas And you, get a fire going to warm the delivery room. "noticing Kamek "Kamek!"

Kamek, watching from a corner with a kind smile, immediately steps forward, nodding.

Kamek: "Yes, Lord Bowser? How can I assist you?"

Bowser: gesturing to the Koopalings and Bowser Jr., who have arrived, wide-eyed 

"Kamek, keep the kids occupied. Keep them calm and away until everything’s done. Got it?"

Kamek: bowing" Of course, Sire. You can count on me."

Bowser Jr.: tugging at Kamek’s sleeve, concerned "But… I want to see the baby! is it coming soon?"

Kamek: with a reassuring smile 

"Don’t worry, Junior. You’ll see the baby very soon. But for now, let your dad be with Cherry, alright?"

Bowser leans toward Cherry, gently taking her hand to help her up from the throne.

Bowser: in a soft voice

" Come on, Cherry. I’m here; everything’s going to be fine."

Cherry: faintly smiling but reassured 

"Thank you, Bowser."

Kamek watches the couple disappear toward the delivery room, then turns back to the children, who look at him eagerly.

Wendy: with bright eyes

" Do you think the baby will look more like Dad, or like Cherry?"

Ludwig: arms crossed, serious 

"Doesn’t matter, as long as it has the Koopa spirit."

Larry: enthusiastic 

"Maybe the baby will have horns like Dad!"

In the delivery room, a few hours later, Bowser is by Cherry’s side as she holds their newborn daughter in her arms. She’s exhausted but glowing with happiness. Their baby is a little girl with flaming red hair like Bowser, small horns on her head, and a Koopa tail at the base of her back.

Cherry: smiling, weary Look,

"Bowser… its a girl! Our little daughter... She’s beautiful…"

Bowser: tenderly, his big smile softening 

"She’s perfect, Cherry. A true Koopa princess."

Cherry gently strokes the baby’s cheek, pride and tenderness filling her gaze.

Cherry: whispering 

"What shall we name her?"

Bowser remains silent for a moment, thinking as he watches their daughter with affection.

Bowser: softly 

"She deserves a special name… one that symbolizes her strength, beauty, and uniqueness. Something unique… just like her."

Cherry: with a dreamy smile 

"How about… Cleo?

Bowser: repeating softly 

"Cleo… Yes, it suits her. It’s both strong and gentle. Sounds like a noble name."

Cherry: smiling

Bowser: proudly 

"Cleo, the one who’ll bring glory to the kingdom… without lifting her claws, like her old dad. Haha!"

Cherry laughs softly, squeezing Bowser’s hand in an emotional moment. They share a knowing smile, thrilled with the name for their daughter.

Kamek enters discreetly, followed by the Koopalings and Bowser Jr., all eager to meet the baby. They enter cautiously, as if entering a sanctuary.

Bowser Jr.: staring wide-eyed 

"She’s so tiny… and she has horns like Dad!"

Wendy: in awe 

"And red hair, like Dad, too! whispering She’s so pretty!

Morton: enthusiastic 

"Welcome, little sis! We’ll protect you, promise!"

Ludwig: serious but moved 

"Yes, welcome, Cleo. We’ll be here for you."

Iggy: examining Cleo curiously 

"Ohhh! A hybrid Koopa princess! She’s unique, incredible!"

Lemmy: amazed 

"She’s going to be our best friend, I just know it!"

Cherry watches them all with a serene, tender smile as each child gazes at Cleo, fascinated and already protective.

Cherry: whispering to Bowser 

"Look at how much they already love her… we have a wonderful family, don’t we?"

Bowser: holding her close 

"Yes… the best family."

The children, still mesmerized by little Cleo, continue murmuring amongst themselves. Meanwhile, Bowser and Cherry enjoy their moment in silence until Cherry leans toward Bowser with a playful smile.

Cherry: whispering with a mischievous grin 

"Don’t forget our deal, my King… you remember, don’t you?"

Bowser lets out a light groan, rolling his eyes.

Bowser: feigning resignation 

"Yes, yes… feeding Cleo during the night for two weeks… "sighs but smiles 

"I should have known you’d be right."

Cherry: laughing softly 

"And I should have bet for a whole month!"

Bowser: amused, glancing at Cleo 

"Enjoy it, Cleo. Your dad lost the bet, so he’ll be watching over you every night…"

Cherry bursts out laughing, and Bowser eventually smiles, a bit resigned but tender.

Bowser: whispering 

"Alright, Cherry… a deal is a deal. But remember, this is the only time you’ll win."

They share a knowing smile as Cherry rests her head against him, clearly pleased. Bowser gently holds little Cleo in his arms and gazes at her lovingly.

The children, gathered around their parents and Cleo, admire their new little sister with awe and affection. The castle, filled with warmth in this family gathering, seems more peaceful and united than ever.

Spencer Agnew - First Tattoo

Summary: Spencer accompanies you when you get your first tattoo, leading to some future ideas.

“You’re absolutely sure about this?” 

You laugh and reply, “Yes, Spencer, I am absolutely sure.”

He’s asked you no less than a hundred times. But now that you’re at the tattoo parlor, stencil already drawn on your arm, you thought he’d be done double checking your decision. 

You understand why he’s so nervous in this situation. He feels somewhat responsible for you deciding to get a tattoo.

It’s not that you’d never thought of it before and he talked you into it, or pressured you to do it. Truly it’s something that has been in the back of your mind for years. But in the time that the two of you had been dating, he’d gotten two more tattoos to join the ones he already had. And that inspired you! 

For weeks you worked on finding the perfect design, and finally you settled on one. A mountain range with a moon in the background, reminding you of camping trips you’d taken with your father who had passed a couple years prior. 

Spencer knew the meaning behind the image you chose. He’s even more alert than normal, not only worried about the physical pain you’ll experience getting the tattoo, but also the mental pain that could arise due to what it symbolizes.

But there you sit, more excited than anything. You figure Spencer can worry enough for the both of you. It’s endearing really, seeing how concerned he’s getting, how anxious he is at just the thought of you being in any pain.

“Spence, really, I’m excited to do this! I’m going to be fine,” you say, laughing at how you’re the one reassuring him that everything will be okay. It should really be the other way around, him telling you that nothing will go wrong, but at least his nerves distract you from any of your own.

Your left arm is perfectly placed on the arm rest, and you reach out to Spencer with your right, saying, “Now give me your hand so I can squeeze the shit out of it if this hurts.”

“Yes ma’am,” he replies and he laces his fingers with yours. The two of you share a smile as any lingering anxiety melts away at the touch.

A moment later, the tattoo artist comes back and sits down. “Are we ready to start?” she asks.

After you confirm that you’re good to go, she brings the needle to your skin. You lightly squeeze Spencer’s hand, and he runs his thumb along your skin to relax and reassure you. 

It’s not as bad as you were expecting, only hurting in a couple spots while the rest is more uncomfortable. Once it’s done and you’re taking a moment to admire the artwork on your arm, it’s easy to see how happy you are. 

It’s a cooler day, so Spencer helps you into the soft jacket you brought.

“So,” he says. “Think you’ll get hooked now? Get lots of tattoos?”

“Oh I think that’s definitely a possibility. Maybe I’ll get a thwomp to match yours,” you answer.

“Wait, really?” His eyes literally light up at the idea so you’re quick to reply, “Okay, maybe not thwomp. But, I wouldn’t be against a matching tattoo. Someday. In the future.”

“I could also be up for a matching tattoo someday in the future,” he replies before leaning in to press a soft kiss to your mouth. 

The two of you walk hand-in-hand out of the tattoo parlor and Spencer says, “So if thwomp is out, what are your feelings on Bowser?”

You bark out a sudden laugh at the suggestion and reply, “Maybe we should brainstorm a little more.” 

That evening Spencer helps change the dressing on your arm. You can’t help the warm feeling you get as he focuses on the task, being so gentle while ensuring he does it just right to help you heal properly. 

You know it’s early in the relationship to be thinking about matching tattoos, but days like today help you know for sure that he’s the one you want to spend your future with. When you think about that, the idea of getting permanent art on your body that connects you to him doesn’t seem that crazy at all.

When the Death Egg is fired, all of Eggman's robots ran for their live, meanwhile Bowser's troops stood by, waiting for Bowser to block it.

Bowser Jr. getting rid of EVERY trick Eggman had left.

"So long, Doctor~!"

Overall? 10/10; exactly what I wanna see in Death Battle.

So y’all know that post where I ranted and raved about Mario’s expressiveness starting with SMO? Well now I’ve got another marginally related post, because oh my God I’m making myself Feel Things.

This is another one of my favorite examples of that expressiveness, because I mean look at him. Five minutes in and this is the most sad and concerned he’d ever looked in a game at the time of its release.

And I got to thinking: seeing him respond so actively to unfolding tragedy after years of Nintendo refusing to let him emote is wonderful in and of itself! But you know what makes it particularly poignant the more I think about it? This is in response to hearing that, among other things, an older brother’s beloved younger sibling has been abducted — by Bowser, no less.

Now watch this scene and tell me Mario’s not thinking about Luigi being in the same scenario. He’s not just being sympathetic. He knows exactly the kind of pain and helplessness Cappy is feeling.

Luigi’s been acting weird lately-- and Bowser’s concerned. When Luigi vanishes one day without any warning, Bowser begrudgingly turns to Mario for help, meeting him at a (humorously petite) cafe in Mushroom Kingdom to discuss what’s been going on. Old rivalries die hard.

The cafe has really good liability insurance, don’t worry.

bear with me as i try to find my footing with this LOL, i am by no means a professional comic artist. i’m writing (or attempting to, at least) a comic based on my Evil Luigi AU-- read the original post/see the original art my looking thru the #my art tag on my blog! this is a bowuigi AU, so the relationship’s pre-established and Luigi, up until he ran away, had been ruling Koopa Kingdom alongside Bowser and navigating that fun new king life.

i have no idea what to tell yall to expect other than the fact that this will be very inconsistent in literally all senses of the word :’) but hey, im tryin my best-- i havent done any sort of comic in a long time and im having a lot of fun with this so far. if anything it’s good practice. right now i have at least a few pages planned out, but im not sure how quickly ill be able to draw them out, especially since i’ll be working full-time again soon. so see this as a bit of a teaser for things to come/an experiment to measure interest in the idea. :D
