I saw people who are weirdly confused about this so since Stobotnik Week is starting soon let me remind you:

No one is policing the stuff you make inspired by prompt lists and fandom projects

Yes, you can write instead of drawing. You can even make edits or crochet little dolls if that’s your form of expression. All forms of creative expression are allowed.

Yes, you can skip days. You can in fact only do something for one day if that’s all you want to do or have power for. You can even do prompts out of order or combine some if that sparks your interest more. The point is that you make something and have fun!

Yes, you are allowed to misinterpret prompts. That’s totally fine and can happen to any of us. Maybe it even leads to a much cooler result! The more individually you interpret the prompt the better actually.

No, you won’t get “banned” from something or somewhere if you “do it wrong” because there is no wrong way to do it. The only wrong way to do it is by stressing yourself out over a fun little collaborative fandom project.

Please by all means, miss the deadline, wildly reinterpret prompts, use unconventional art mediums and please please just have fun creating art about your funny gay blorbos and share that with others!

Prompt 6 - Week

Previous part First part

James quickly changed for bed and jumped into his bed just before Professor McGonagall entered their dorm room. 

“Has Mr Potter miraculously returned yet?” She asked Remus. 

“Oh, yeah, he is. I think he’s asleep, though,” he heard Remus say. McGonagall’s shoes clicked across the wood floor and stopped right beside his bed. He let out a loud snore as the hangings were drawn back.

“Mr Potter!” Even though he’d been expecting it, the shrillness of her voice made him jump. He opened his eyes and blinked blearily up at her. 

“Sorry, Professor, Remus said you were looking for me.” He opened his mouth and yawned a deep yawn before continuing. “I was trying to finish an essay in the library, but I fell asleep. I think I’ve been overdoing the quidditch training a bit.” He smiled at her sheepishly as he propped himself up. 

“Be that as it may, Mr Potter, you were out of bed past curfew, you can add another week of detentions to the one you missed this evening.” He cringed. He’d completely forgotten about his detention. 

“Sorry, Professor,” he apologised again. 

That sorted, Professor McGonagall turned to leave, but she paused.

“Where is Mr Black?” She asked, sternly. James and Remus looked at each other. Peter was down in the common room, but Sirius was on the third floor, or at least he had been when James had checked the map. “Mr Lupin, Mr Potter, do not test my patience. Where is Mr Black?”

“Right here, Professor,” Sirius said as he pushed the curtain back from the window. He held up a scroll of parchment and a brass telescope. “Just finishing my Astronomy homework,” He jumped down and went over to his trunk to put everything away. McGonagall narrowed her eyes as she watched him hop onto his bed and grin at her, but as he was there she couldn’t reprimand him. 

Once they were certain she was gone, James and Remus turned to Sirius. 

“How did you get up here?” Remus asked. Sirius rolled his eyes and got up off his bed, crossing the room to stand beside James. 

“How do you think?” he drawled. Remus cocked his head as he stared at Sirius. 

“Regulus?” he asked uncertainly. Sirius grinned a very un-Sirius smile. 

“You figured it out far faster than I thought you would,” Regulus said, smiling smugly. “Don’t ever say I never do anything for my brother,” He grimaced as he looked down at his body. “Unfortunately, I didn’t have any other polyjuice potion but my own brew, so I will be stuck like this for a while.” He turned to James and said almost formally. “For obvious reasons, I won’t be able to return to my own dorm this evening, and I suspect McGonagall my check that you are in your bed still later on.” James couldn’t respond as for the second time the dorm room door banged open and Sirius entered, red face but with a shit-eating grin on his face which fell away when he spotted himself across the room.

“What in Merlin’s name is going on?”

I do think that it is maybe just a little bit really funny that there is a group of people on the internet in a medium-small corner of the Harry Potter fandom who absolutely live off of the idea of Severus Snape being Harry Potter's father. were we all depraved of good father figures or do we just live off of the found family trope?
