Some minor highlights from WJW today!

Nathan's been traveling!

Both of them are going to a bunch of American Comic Cons

Kristian has been working on his book and being crafty (turned some white Nikes into Spiked, Glittery Nikes)

Kristian and Nathan will be doing a wee WJW in Raleigh with the cast if they can

Nathan will be going to a not yet announced European Comic Con sometime this year

Kristian read a few excerpts from his book

There will be an audiobook version that Kristian will voice

During OFMD S1 Kristian asked David and everyone about his accent and if he should change it and David replied with "We just want YOU Kristian"

One of the funniest days on set was Nat Faxon and the GreenScreen teeth when the Swede had Scurvy

Nathan described himself as "Nathan Underscore Foad" and now the fandom will henceforth call him this.

== Love Notes ==

Hey there lovelies! I saw so much continuous clowning today! 2-3 days in a row? It's been a while since we've had that much all at once! I'm so happy to see people feeling the love and camaraderie with each other again! I hope that continues even if we see things calm down! Something I heard in WJW today that really stuck with me was "We just want YOU Kristian", something David said when Kristian kept asking if his Belfast accent was okay for the role. How absolutely heartwarming is that? We knew that David and the rest of the cast and crew were kind and wanted everyone to be themselves, but to hear that out of the mouth of Kristian and how it affected him, in his book where he poured out his soul-- just hit so much harder. That really is one of the major values that drew me, and I know quite a few others of the crew to OFMD so hard. Acceptance and celebration of individual uniqueness is at the core of OFMD-- it's part of the building blocks that makes our show so special. Each crew member has their own skills they bring to the table, and we can feel safe when we're allowed to be our true selves around others.

OFMD exudes that kind of acceptance in droves. We can hear it in their varying accents, in the wide array of queer portrayal, in the character's love and acceptance and forgiveness of each other-- in the music, the stage decoration, and the cinematography. We each are different, and we all bring things to the table that make the fandom, or the world a better place. We may not always get along, but it is in the uniqueness of so many crew we find creativity, love, kindness, acceptance, and a place where we can feel safe and learn to be more of our true and authentic selves. Embrace your uniqueness lovelies. You are different from me, from your moots, from your favorite fan artist/writer and that's fucking beautiful. We want YOU, crew. Be YOU in everything you do. Rest up lovelies, see you tomorrow <3

WIP Wednesday: Synchronize Snippet: Vintaka

This is a scene that will appear in one of the upcoming chapters of Synchronize. Not sure yet if it’ll be in chapter 8 or if it’ll appear later, but it’ll feature this beautiful art I commissioned from @luci-on-the-moon (the full uncropped, color version will be posted with the fic/chapter).

Approximately 25 years ago, Vincent brought the twins and Tanaka on a trip to Japan…

Vincent drained his cup and set it aside, turning to face Tanaka. “Hiro,” he whispered. Just hearing this abbreviation of his name from Vincent’s lips was enough to raise goosebumps on Tanaka’s arms. Vincent cradled his face, smiling warmly. “I never imagined I would ever feel this way about anyone.”

“Hai,” Tanaka agreed before he could stop himself.

Vincent kissed him. Slow, not quite chaste but still restrained, and Tanaka could have sworn the heat from the water was traveling up through his body and winding around his heart.

His eyes fluttered as they pulled apart. “How long were you married?”

“Four years, nearly,” Vincent remarked as he refilled his sake cup.

That’s when it dawned on him. “But—but we first—I had only been working for you a year—”

Vincent smiled. It was glorious as always, though a veil of sadness seemed to have been pulled over it. “Ah, well. To be honest, I was entranced by you from the moment I saw you. And with how easily Sebastian took to you, I was prepared to offer you almost anything if you’d stay by my side.”

Vincent’s smile was sweet and genuine. His fingertips teased Tanaka’s short hair. “You should grow it out.”

Tanaka laughed, playing with the dark ponytail draped over Vincent’s shoulder. “The twins need at least one good example.”

Acting as if he were deeply offended, Vincent said, “Are you suggesting I’m a poor influence because I have long hair?”

Tanaka smirked playfully. “No, I’m saying Vincent Phantomhive Michaelis is.”

Melodramatically clutching his chest, Vince replied, “But I thought you loved me!”

All hint of teasing gone, Tanaka couldn’t help the honest way he replied, “I do.”

I loved these three as well, but I also wanted to keep the original post a bit smaller and more intimate, hence splitting this up in two!

Also using the opportunity to gush a little bit about the little things here ;__;

First of all, I love that CDPR gave all their male characters such nice, defined, long eyelashes, 'cause, hell yeah <3 I feel like, in some games I played in the past, eyelashes seemed to be for women only, and I know many find the CC lacking in comparison to what was teased and promised, but in this (and a few other regards) I like it a lot. Plus male NPCs with pretty eyelashes <3

Secondly, this was my first shoot I did with Kerry's updated 2.0 model and man ;__; This is super weird and random, but I'm so happy he has proper fingernails now XD Like, actual 3D nails that can be colored etc etc (and I know I couldve just added them manually in the past, but y'know....). With how huge PL turned out to be, with how much they improved and changed and added, it's the small things like this that really really do it for me cause... yeah. Dogtown is epic and amazing, the story is so good, but also, they didn't forget about lil old Kerry and gave him (and in return the people that love him) a lil love and care, too. That is so, so nice and makes me love the people behind all this even more.

Xavier *laughs*: Relax! I meant that I wouldn't have kids for his precious Thorpe legacy to keep going.

Ajax: But I thought you wanted kids?

Xavier: Oh, I do. It was just so funny to see the look of fear on his face. Although... Killing him might be an option...

Enid: Xavier!

Wednesday: Your dark side always turns me on.

Enid: Wednesday! Don't encourage him!

Wednesday: I have a better plan though. If you took my name, we could still have children and his bloodline would still end.

Xavier: He'd be so pissed! You're a genius, babe.

[Repost] Can You Hear Me? - Abby & Vincent

Part of this set of WIP Wednesdays!

This has so much potential to turn spicy, but I lost steam on it at the most important part. Maybe if I pick it up again some day, I'll give it the spice it deserves, but this is the best I've got thus far.

In summary, Abby is a little jealous that Vincent's not paying attention to her enough.

Raw, incomplete writing down below. Pregnancy is also featured here. Mostly fluff with a hint of spice towards the end.

"Can you hear me? It's your papa."

It was a phrase Abby had heard frequently over the last few months, usually accompanied by Vincent's hands pressing gently into her belly. He had taken to doing this little habit ever since finding out about their little one growing inside of her, even in the early stages where any sign of life was minute, at best. It still didn't stop Vincent from putting his hands on her belly while she was cooking or the number of times she's woke up from sleeping and her shirt was pulled up, his hand hovering over her.

Truth be told, though Vincent had been just as loving towards her, she felt the tiniest bit of jealousy when he was paying more attention to their baby than he was to her. A horrible thought, she scolded herself, but she couldn't help the feeling after today.

She hadn't been feeling particularly great that day, but she chalked up to her usual complaints: a sore back and needing to pee for the thousandth time that day, not to mention her favorite pair of shorts she wanted to wear to the appointment finally didn't fit her anymore, nor did many of her other clothes.

Vincent tried to comfort her as she looked at herself in the mirror, shorts unbuttoned and unzipped, her stomach hanging out over the waistband. His hand was smoothing her shirt down for her, stretched tighter than it had been a few days prior.

"They're growing so fast, Schatje." Vincent said gently, his hand, once again, on her belly.

"Y-yeah." She put her hand on top of his, not pulling him away but to squeeze his hand, to alleviate the twinge of jealousy she felt. "And we get to see them today, kind of."

"Through the sonogram, right?" Vincent asked, still somewhat new to the technologies of the present day.

"Mhmm. The doctor will put a sounding wand on my belly that puts out sound waves that will bounce off the baby and back to the wand, which then is put on a nearby screen as a picture. We can even hear their heart that way."

Vincent smiled and kissed her cheek.

"I'm excited to meet them." His palm pressed into her belly again. "they're going to have your cute face, I'm sure."

 "M-maybe!" Abby squeezed his fingers tighter, "they're still pretty young for distinct facial features though, I think…"

"Then, I'm sure they'll have your strong and beautiful heart." His other hand had slid down and was cradling her belly.

Abby didn't say anything, turning back to her reflection, her other hand also meeting Vincent's, squeezing his fingers but not pulling him away, mentally sighing to herself.

His hands were on her again once they returned home after the appointment. She felt like she was deluding herself in thinking Vincent was merely warming her after complaining about the cold gel at the appointment, but she knew better. Even the little butterfly kicks weren't enough to soothe her as Vincent's gentle voice asked rhetorical questions to their son, their son! They were going to be having a little boy in another few months and she was still very much excited about learning that today.

However, she could feel a mood taking over her. She felt horrible for feeling it. She should be excited as Vincent clearly was, but she felt the twinge of feeling left out.

She sat in the comfy chair, heaving out a heavy sigh with her eyes closed. She jumped when she felt Vincent's shoulders spreading her legs, his clear blue eyes looking at her for what felt like the first time in forever.

"Something wrong, Schatje?"

Abby shook her head quickly, flushing at seeing Vincent between her legs, sitting like a dog on the floor.

"N-no, nothing's wrong. Just a little tired today."

"It was a big day today," he agreed with her, reaching out a hand to, once again, feel her belly. "He must be feeling tired, too."

"Y-yeah, he's not kicking as much right now. He's still a baby, after all."

Vincent smiled and nodded, sitting up to kiss her belly, the sensation tickling.

"It's your papa again, telling you good night, little one. Have a good rest so we can play again tomorrow, okay?"

Abby bit her lip, looking away at the small scene.

"Schatje?"

"You-Your kisses tickle me…"

"Ah, sorry, sorry." Vincent laughed, then turned to her belly again. "Your mama is a little ticklish, that's what that sensation was."

Abby bit her lip again, taking in a slow breath. She then put a hand to Vincent's cheek. He looked up at her.

"L-let's let him sleep for now, okay? I…"

Vincent tilted his head quizzically.

"I… I've been missing you."

"I've been here the entire time, Schatje. All day with you, even."

"Y-you have been. Just… just that…"

"Just what?"

"It's… I know this is selfish of me to say… but I feel… sometimes… I feel like you're paying more attention to the baby… than to me…"

Vincent's widened as Abby looked away, feeling ashamed.

"It's silly, isn't it? We… we're having a baby! A baby boy! I should be excited, and I am! I really am! I just…"

She then felt a soft sensation on her lips and calloused hands taking hold of hers. The feeling lingered for an eternity, like he was pouring every ounce of love into a kiss that he could.

When Vincent finally did pull away, both were gasping for air, their breaths mingling together at their closeness.

"I'm sorry," Vincent said, "that I made you feel that way."

"Don't be," Abby said, "You're excited about all of this. I don't blame you."

"No, I made you feel terrible when I should be making you feel like the happiest woman in the world."

He kissed her cheek.

"How can I make it up to you?"

"You don't have to do anything! I'm happy that you're happy and that's enough."

"It's not enough, Schatje, to be the only one being happy when you should be too. Our promise was to do things together from now on. That includes sharing our happiness."

"Vincent…"

"So, the fact that I ignored you is inexcusable. I want to make it up to you. Tell me what you want in return."

Abby looked away, her cheeks flushed with embarrassment.

"…Kiss me again? Like before?"

Vincent smiled and leaned in again, taking her lips with a fierce hunger. He then cupped her cheek with one hand, tilting her head so he could have all of her with his mouth.
