My take on the Tabby she-cat with distinctive black markings seen in into the wild and the two kits that don’t match any of the descriptions of the kits we know.

In my rewrite I wanted there to be a few more characters for thunderclan pre-into the wild, so I saveed these guys from the void, I’ve decided on Cedarkit/shade for the black kit and Firkit for the gray and white kit.

For the queen her name depends upon the family I put her in, and her relationship with the two kits also changes depending on the family.

I’m thinking she’s either related to darkstripe in some way (sister or mother, in this case Pale- for a prefix and if his mother the two kits would be her siblings because I like that darkstripe is a single litter kit, maybe she’s willowpelts ex girlfriend and dark was an oops baby) or surrogate mother of Frostfur and Brindleface for stonepelt and weedwhisker (in this case Mink- for prefix.) or Sister of Leopardfoot and Patchpelt.

Dawn Cats!

A feline species I made up, they're the Ancients (ancient tribe) from Jayfeather's time travels!

Big, powerful cats, living around the Lake Territories in three separete grups (tribes). It wasn't clearly stated in the books if the grup Jay meet and traveld with to the Mountains was only one Tribe or all of them (or at least I don't remember that 😅), but I hedcanon that the Dawn Cats were already at the dusk of their society during po3. After a series of epidemies and internal conflicts, their numbers declined drasticly, and their Healers desided to mearge into one grup. The Twolegs showing up at the Lake was only a final nail in the coffin, and made the already existing thoughts about leaving their home more urgent. After that, you know the drill, Jay's Wing/Feather shows up, the Tribe votes go or stay and they travel to the Mountains. Forming the grup known as the Ancient Tribe and later giving rise to Tribe of Rushing Water, ThunderClan, ShadowClan, WindClan, RiverClan and SkyClan.

Geneticly they're sitting somwhere at the base of the F. catus (and cousins) family tree (the wildcats/felis silvestris) Closer to the ancient wildcats then our domestic goofballs, but still able to hybridize and have fertile offspring. They're the resoult of an alternative timline in which the ancient humans who crossed the Bering Strait and later went to become the Native Americans, brought their own primitive wildcats companions with them (assuming they had any). Those kitties later diverged into many other subspecies, but nearly all of them faced extinction, leaving only a couple still standing. The original Dawn Cats went extinct through hybridization with domestic cats, forming the Clans. The closest (geneticly speaking), and the last still alive in the u.s subspieces of the Dawn Cats are the Tribe of Rushing Water (still clasified as critically endangered though). The other desendants of the 'first kitties' are the Sisters (I'll talk about it in another post) also clasified as CR, and the Wildcats, that are still just your typical Felis silvestris grampia, but now living in North America. Becouse Erins writed Ivypool's Heart already after I made the USwarrior catsAU. (well, I have to work with what they gave me 🤣).

It's more like a guideline I'll loosely base my new batch of designs off on, then anything super serious, I don't like restricting myself too much when drawing XD.

I'm planning on dropping a bigger post where I'll cover Dawn Cats history and culture in greater detail, so stay tuned!

disclaimer: I know that people who crossed the Bering Strait were hunter-gatherers and didn't really needed cats, but this addition would just be cute and help me ground my rewrite a lot :D

If I could change one aspect of Blackfoot/Blackstar's character, it would be his appearance and original name. He's now a seal colorpoint and his birth name was Flurrykit. Flurry- for his white kitten coat and also a pointed jab at Blizzardwing for not claiming the litter as his own.

As Flurrypaw grows, his pelt goes from being snowy white to brown and black. He hates his name, feeling like he looks more like rotten snow in spring than a crisp winter cloud. To add salt to the wound, he also learns that Blizzardwing is his father and namesake. Angered, Flurrypaw goes to Raggedstar and explains his plight. Raggedstar sympathizes with him, revealing that he knows better than any cat how it feels to have a horrible father. Something must be done.

At his warrior ceremony, Raggedstar christens him as Blackfoot. A fine name for a fine young cat, and Brokenpaw's loyal friend.

Mike & Vanessa Peters

Mike is older than Vanessa by 1 year. 

Mike was 34 when Bloom was adopted, and Vanessa was 33

Mike comes from a large family, none of whom live close by. Vanessa on the other hand is an only child. 

The reason why Mike and Vanessa don’t have children of their own is because Vanessa had ovarian cancer at the age of 29, only five years after beating breast cancer. She had to have an ovary removed as well as a section of the attached fallopian tube removed as well. However, the chemo drugs she took after her surgery caused damage to the eggs in her remaining ovary. While she isn’t completely infertile, a series of painful miscarriages resulted in the couple giving up on their hopes of starting a family. 

The therapy and surgery that Vanessa underwent was pricey and Mike had to borrow money from family and friends in order to pay the medical bills. 

It was only a few months prior to Bloom’s 16th birthday that Mike was able to pay back all the money he had borrowed from his family but still had a bit more to go in repaying some friends. 

The couple had been looking into adoption and foster care when Mike had discovered Bloom in a burning building. 

Mike had called Vanessa at the station while still holding an exhausted Bloom. Vanessa had come as soon as she got the call and it was love at first sight as the two of them held Bloom in their arms. They inquired with the police officers on what would happen to the baby if a parent or guardian weren’t found. 

When nothing was found about Bloom’s background, and it was assumed that she had been abandoned, Mike and Vanessa were the first to jump at the chance to foster her.  

After a year and a half the couple were finally able to file for a proper adoption. 

Bloom grew up happy and healthy and never really questioned her parentage, until a very fateful day in the little city of Gardenia.

I flipped Shadow over to the marshy area because i have made them definitively the bog/wetland/marsh group. Also more houses for daylight warriors when Sky shows up.

Moth and Hawk were taken into Riverclan the moon after the Battle of Bloodclan. They were given to the clan when they were still kits, by their mother, who chose to leave after revealing a secret that the cats of Riverclan have decided to keep to themselves. Mudfur was looking for an apprentice at the time, so when he received an omen of a moth's wing (a specifically special sign for healers, although why that is is lost knowledge) Moth was chosen to become his apprentice. Mothpaw was a great fit for the role, and seemed to enjoy it.
