Tallstar has been Windclan's leader for as long as most cats around the lake can remember. The only older cat in the territories is his step-parent, Darkfoot. Tallstar was already leader when his younger half-siblings Ashkit and Snailkit were born. Tallstar always maintained a good relationship with Thunderclan, especially since Fireheart brought the clan back during the Windclan Exile.

about the poster itself: do you guys know how hard it is to make art for a band that hasn’t been active in 13 years? the answer is HARD (yes, i probably could done research and looked for old interviews for inspiration but who has time for that)

—> the icons related to “take a vacation!” are inspired by lyrics from the song “take a vacation!” (haha, did you see what I did there?) specifically, the lines “we’ll leave the waves at the ocean” and “we’ll leave the sand in a suitcase”

—> the Jon Walker and Ryan Ross icons are taken directly from the album cover (it took ten years off my life trying to figure out how to get them on here w/ the color palette—graphic design may be my passion but I never said i was GOOD at it)

—> the heart imagery comes from the fact that the band’s called “the young VEINS”—although it annoys me IMMENSELY that i technically drew more arteries than veins in the icons (my anatomy teacher would be so disappointed, but alas, anatomical accuracy had to be sacrificed to make it. yknow. look nice)

—> i did hand-lettering for all the text except for everything that’s in Helvetica (i did THAT in canva). the art program i use has a basically unusable text tool so I was forced to draw all of it, so I choose to believe that the reason why it doesn’t look. the best. is because of the caffeine shakes

some extra commentary: am I the only one who’s genuinely REALLY bad at listening to music? i don’t really get into bands as much as i just find songs that sound nice—to illustrate the extent of this issue: i did NOT know that Brendon Urie was a part of Panic! At the Disco. I’m not even kidding, I thought the artist who made Death of a Bachelor and the artist who made A Fever You Can’t Sweat Out were completely different and just. didn’t bother to check if I was right.

also, I’m not the type of person to be interested in band lore???? I rarely know the names of band members if even I’ve listened to the band for years (I really couldn’t care less in most situations)

case in point, i did not know who the FUCK Ryan Ross was!!! i knew he was in p!atd but that’s literally about it—before a couple of days ago if you asked to me pick out either Ryan Ross or Jon Walker from a line up I would not be able to get even CLOSE

anyway, my friend/manager is really into band lore, so I basically got a crash-course in all things “early to late 2000s emo band” and subsequently found out about the Young Veins (i was also extremely disappointed when I found out they only had one album and hadn’t been active in over a decade) THEN I realized that decade old, inactive bands don’t usually have merch, so I made my own! “merch” used lightly—i don’t think this is actually fit to sell lol

anyway that’s all k thanks byeee :D!! (and go stream the young veins!!)

I was talking to a friend yesterday about how fun it used to be to walk into stores like Delia's at the mall and see a wall of colorful graphic tees. Then we started lamenting the later years when there was a shift towards minimalist, bland design. Like I loved so many of my band t-shirts in hs & college, but now I'm not that excited about the merch tables even when I go to shows I love. The merch is mostly boring. Buuuuut I also understand that graphic design usually fits the modern ~look becaus that's what will sell (like I remember some graphic designers in 2008 saying that P!ATD's label requested hand drawn content for submissions).

🩷she absolutely loves pink! Light pink, dark pink, neon, ect. Every outfit has at least a little bit of pink. Especially in her make-up.

🩷she used to be a tomboy but did a complete 180 in her teen years. Now that she's an adult she still likes cute designs and crazy colors.

🩷 she's abnormally very forgetful. If she wasn't a proxy, she would see a doctor for it. Slenderman had to adjust the kinds of missions she goes on to make up for it.

🩷she really good at math and science. They were her best subjects in school. If she wasn't obsessed with Jeff at the time, she would have wanted to be a statistician.

🩷kids seriously annoy her. She'll avoid them if she can. Sally is the only exception but it took a while for her to not be irritated by her hyperactivity. She's like a moody big sister with Sally now.

🩷she has fan posters/merch in her room. My chemical romance, fall out boy, Paramore, p!atd, falling in reverse, pierce the veil, ect. She's absolutely obsessed with them all.

🩷 chronically online to the point of brain rot. Not the gen alpha stuff but early Internet culture. She was on Myspace a lot. When YouTube became more popular, she loved watching game playthroughs. She got really REALLY into Markiplier. Her humor is still pretty edgy/ random XD from early Internet/YouTube.

🩷she likes to stir up controversy online for the fun of it. She is the queen of rage bait. She had to stop when someone responded with her address.

🩷 she's really into shipping. Any piece of media that she comes across will have fan art/fics made with her favorite characters dating. She gives no shits about if the ship is realistic or even if the characters like each other. Fake dating is her favorite trope.

🩷 when she was younger, she was really good at soccer. Her parents forced her to join her school's team. She wasn't very social with the other girls though and began to dread it. She still likes the sport though. She ended up switching to track when she got to high school. Her fast running helps her on missions now.

What kind of music do all the boys listen to in your modern au?

Wars: A LOT of late 2000s-2010s pop, and also I think he’d like Sabrina Carpenter and Chappell Roan. He also listens to a lotttttttt of classical type music and just stuff he’s dancing to in class and performances because he will run through shit in his mind and stare at a wall completely zoned out when he’s too physically exhausted to get up and rehearse

Twi: it’s a LOT of country and older music from like the 50s and 60s because that’s what Malon likes and he absorbs things like a sponge and she’s effectively his mother (she’s his aunt but she and Time raised him since he was one so they’re literally his parents in every way that matters)

Sky: He truly is that friend who listens to anything, but like really. Home depot commercial song, rap, a spoon in the garbage disposal, classical music, broadway musicals, pop, jazz, fucking ANYTHING. He’s definitely the person with a sweet cozy aesthetic who smiles all the time and you see him with headphones on and are like “whatcha listening to?” and its the most hardcore heavy metal song ever and people who don’t know him well are a bit shocked

Time: a lot of 70s and 80s rock, he was in a band as a guitar player for a couple years in his 20s, and he doesn’t do that anymore but he will still play on occasion. but also his wife and twi love their country music and 60s music and he loves them so he doesn’t fight for the radio in the car he lets them have it even if he hates country music because it’s just Not his vibe. but you’ll never hear him complain about it

Legend: MCR, Fallout boy, Twenty One Pilots used to listen to P!ATD and will deny it until he dies, Will Wood (and the Tapeworms), mindless self indulgence, etc etc. anything loud, funky, borderline screaming, passionate, or generally 2013 tumblr coded

Hyrule: the weirdest shit you’ve ever heard in your fucking life by some small artists that no one has ever heard of because they have like 8 listeners and Hyrule somehow (no one knows how not even him) stumbled across this and it goes so hard. its very whimsical tho. he’d also like TV Girl i think

Wild: He and Wars are like the exact same as far as music taste goes, catch those two screaming Lady Gaga songs whenever they’re in the car together

Wind: FNAF songs, songs you find in tiktok edits, Chappell Roan (this is Wars’s fault), “Whatever’s on the radio”

Four: the type of music that is designed to be like, a deep and meaningful art piece. like the lyrics are poetic and it’s meant to be discussed and analyzed and it frustrates him to no end when people dont get it like he does because its beautiful and its ART. alternatively Coconut Mall on loop for 7 hours, and there’s no in between

More opinions about my interests since I liked making the last one.

* At this point in time I like Freshy Kanal more than ERB, the match ups are more up my alley and the beats slap so much harder

* Sisyphus is JUST as interesting as Minos you’re just letting the memes control your judgement (read his terminal entry there’s more to him then just being a spiteful bastard towards heaven)

* If any other indie dev treated Steel Wool like Scott Cawthon did during the making of Security Breach (basically not telling them the games story which lead to it being a narrative clusterfuck) they would get drawn and quartered but because Scott Cawthon did it no one seems to mind???

* I’m beginning to not mind The Mimic but I will never get over how quickly Vanny got pushed aside. She could’ve shown how serial killers have copycat killers (something that Scott himself is scared of which is why no actual Fnaf themed restaurants have been made) long after their time is done (going back to the “I always come back” quote in a really cool way) but no we just get a fucked up little guy. I am looking forward to Secret Of The Mimic but the way Vanny got treated as a nothing threat after YEARS of build up is easily one of the most infuriating parts of Fnaf’s story

* I’m happy that the Five Laps At Freddy’s demo got patched but it NEVER should’ve been released in the state it was in and the people who were complaining towards those with concerns need to know that there is a difference between a demo with some glitches here and there and something that’s borderline unplayable. I am convinced that the demo only got released because the anniversary came up.

* Maybe Garten Of Banban would go away if people stop paying attention to it and constantly buying the new ones so they can bitch about how bad it is on their let’s play channels idk

* BATIM has my favourite setting out of any mascot horror game, it’s so immersive and the fact that it slowly changed into a sprawling ecosystem is so interesting to me

* Needy Streamer Overload has one of the best portrayals of mental illness I’ve ever seen in media but the actual gameplay gets really old after a while

* Surge > Scourge, I love them both for different reasons but Surge’s story is one of the darkest in Sonic canon and a lot more compelling to me, I’m interested to see what they do with her later in the comics

* Multishipping will free your mind please try it more I beg you

* Madohomu is NOT one sided, Homura’s feelings towards Madoka are that intense that anything Madoka feels towards her would feel small by comparison

* Too Weird To Live, Too Rare To Die is nowhere near the worst P!ATD album, it’s one of my favourites and it’s a really good listen for night time drives

* I hated the way some people got pissed at The Cuphead Show for not being lore and angst heavy. I really liked it! And they made certain characters way more entertaining than they were in the actual game! The Devil went from being a somewhat boring villain in the game to being my favourite character in the whole show. And the fact they made Brineybeard a monsterfucker is funnie he just like me fr

* The issue with Hazbin Hotel’s use of red isn’t the red itself, it’s the fact that the SAME shade is used CONSTANTLY. If they used different shades more frequently instead of just cherry red it wouldn’t be that much of an issue (like burgundy, burgundy is cool)

* The NiGHTS series might be one of the most wasted IP’s of all time, AMAZING character designs (NiGHTS’ design is genuinely perfect I would change nothing about it) and the atmosphere and tone was genuinely magical. Shigeru Miyamoto (the creator of MARIO) has gone on record saying that he wished he came up with the idea of NiGHTS, which is incredibly high praise…and we haven’t gotten a new one in YEARS! Where is it?!

* TADC is not an industry plant or content farm slop, because unlike that kind of shit you can actually tell that there’s passion and love behind the project. No one expected it to get as popular as it did it just happened.

* Telling someone who’s stimming (regardless of the amount of noise it makes) to stop in a condescending way is a really shitty thing to do, like come on man let my leg do its thing :(

* You do not have to defend everything you like until your last breath it’s okay to admit that it kinda sucks (Repo! The Genetic Opera is a clusterfuck narrative wise and some of the songs are shit but I still love it lmao)

* G3 Ivy’s design > G1 Ivy’s design

* Fuck The Critical Drinker, all my homies hate The Critical Drinker (his take on Midsommar’s ending is genuinely one of the most braindead analysis’ I’ve ever seen and I have no idea how anyone continued taking him seriously after that because what the fuck 💀)

* If you see news of a music artist you like go through a personal tragedy and your first thought is “the new album’s gonna be fire” then you need to get your head checked because what the fuck is wrong with you genuinely

* Mel Medarda is objectively the finest character in Arcane fight me idgaf

* Cairngorm is one of the most interesting characters in Land Of The Lustrous, you can acknowledge that they changed for the worst (fuck Aechmea) while also acknowledging that Phos solely viewing them as a second Antarcticite due to them not handling their grief well was fucked up

* The holy quintet transformation sequence in Rebellion is an actual work of art and a masterclass in symbolism i could write an entire thesis on it (and the music too omg)

* I don’t ship SCU Sonadow at all I’m sorry I just don’t see it (Prime Sonadow though? Peak shit)

* Homura and Kyoko have one of the most interesting dynamics in the entire show but no one talks about them for some reason?

* Helluva Boss’ second season will be remembered like Euphoria’s second season, amazing visuals and acting but the story took a fucking nosedive and there are several characters acting out of character solely so the plot can move forward (the fact they actually started giving Millie interesting characterisation only to get her pregnant two episodes later is insane and people are already accusing her of cheating fucking hell the misogyny in that fandom is rampant 😭)

* Leviathan has the worst boss theme in Ultrakill and it’s not even close

* Cyn is the best part of Murder Drones, she has the best design in the entire show and she’s the perfect mix of cute and disturbing

* TADC actually being character focused instead of lore focused is such a breath of fresh air, so many series’ focus on their lore to the point where the traits of the characters are mostly forged from fanon so to actually have a series focus on the actual characters and their issues is just great
