I now watch far more YouTube than I do regular Streaming. Why? Too much goddamn propaganda, baked into everything! I love YouTube and say that, unabashedly. I learn so much there.

Congratulations guys! You've given Noah the exact attention and controversy that he wanted. Because now you're busy arguing about him instead of talking about what's actually happening in Gaza.

Israel says reporters working during Hamas attack ‘accomplices in crimes against humanity’
Nov 9th, 10:50 GMT
The Israeli prime minister’s office says it has sent a letter to the bureau chiefs of international media outlets demanding explanations over their use of pictures taken by journalists during Hamas’s attack on October 7.
“These journalists were accomplices in crimes against humanity; their actions were contrary to professional ethics,” read a statement by the office.
Similar remarks were made by Israel’s war cabinet minister Benny Gantz: “Journalists found to have known about the massacre, and still chose to stand as idle bystanders while children were slaughtered – are no different than terrorists and should be treated as such,” Gantz said on X.
On Wednesday, Israeli monitoring group Honest Reporting questioned why Gaza-based journalists working for The Associated Press and Reuters were present in the early hours of the October 7 attack.
On Thursday, Reuters denied any suggestion it had prior knowledge of the Hamas attack.
Meanwhile, the number of journalists and media workers killed since the start of the war stands at 39, according to the Committee to Protect Journalists: 34 Palestinian, four Israeli and one Lebanese.
Reuters denies suggestions it was aware of Hamas attack
Nov 9th, 12:00 GMT
Reuters has denied suggestions made by HonestReporting that it had prior knowledge of Hamas’s attack on October 7.
Here’s the statement from the news agency:
“We are aware of a report by HonestReporting and accusations made against two freelance photographers who contributed to Reuters coverage of the Oct. 7 attack.
“Reuters categorically denies that it had prior knowledge of the attack or that we embedded journalists with Hamas on Oct. 7.
“Reuters acquired photographs from two Gaza-based freelance photographers who were at the border on the morning of Oct. 7, with whom it did not have a prior relationship.
“The photographs published by Reuters were taken two hours after Hamas fired rockets across southern Israel and more than 45 minutes after Israel said gunmen had crossed the border.
“Reuters staff journalists were not on the ground at the locations referred to in the HonestReporting article.”
Palestinian journalist told to evacuate from Gaza City
Nov 9th, 12:10 GMT
Palestinian journalist and writer Mohammed Mhawish said he received a call at about 1:30pm (11:30 GMT) in Gaza City from an unknown source who identified themselves as an officer of the Israeli army.
During the call, Mhawish was given 20 minutes to evacuate his house with about 30 members of his family.
“I have received several pre-recorded calls from the military to evacuate,” Mhawish told Al Jazeera.
“They were all generally addressed to the residents of the north and the centre of the Gaza Strip to go south,” he said, adding: “But this time, the speaker, who sounded [like] a Hebrew native, said my full name. He sounded threatening.”
Mhawish, who has been reporting on the war for Al Jazeera from Gaza City, was “sure the call meant to scare and silence him”.
He added that the Israeli military officer warned him not to return to his house again at all, and said: “We are warning you that we are bombing the house.”

if you have been trying to educate people in your life about the ongoing genocide, i can't emphasize enough how useful a resource documentaries have been for me. not only do i learn things from them, but they can be so much more effective than a single post or article in terms of humanization, amount of information, and perceived credibility. they are also such good openers and foundations for having further conversations about palestine, colonization, and systemic oppression as a whole. like these documentaries got me to conversational points w family members that i never thought i'd be able to get them to any time soon on my own. some documentaries i recommend are children of shatila and frontiers of dreams and fears (both on netflix) as well as israelism, which is available for rent on its own site, but if you go into my "film" tag there should be a list of palestinian movie recs that are currently on netflix. i'll also rb it again after posting

JUNE 23, 2024- Palestinian man Mujahid Abadi speaks out after being shot by Israeli forces in Jenin, Occupied West Bank, then tied to the burning hot hood of a military vehicle and paraded around like a human shield while denying him medical treatment from ambulances standing by.
"They shouted at me to step forward. I replied to them I was injured and could not move. The Israeli soldier replied then 'you should die there.' I remained on the ground bleeding for more than two hours. None of the soldiers approached me."
"After that another Israeli armored vehicle approached the one I was lying behind. They tried to run me over. There's a lot of footage proving all this."
"One of the soldiers trampled my head under his boot, kept punching me in the face, kicking my bleeding leg. He twisted my injured arm, my injured arm and leg bones were broken - totally crushed. The Israeli soldiers kept laughing and mocking while beating me to death."
"Two Israeli soldiers grabbed my hands and two others my feet then started swinging me left to right. I fell to the ground twice and on the third attempt they shoved me over the hood. It was extremely hot that my back was burnt. They drove me back and fourth for 20 minutes. I had hoped to be dead before the Israeli soldiers arrived."

I've seen two single reports of a bombing in the West Bank but they're from new sources I'm unsure of and I'm not getting it anywhere else yet, I dearly hope this isn't true even tho I've seen video footage of the blasts and injuries
That's potentially a massive escalation if true, I'm posting this as a Watch This Space, I really hope I can recall it as misinfo
This is to be confirmed

A real frustration for me is that many actions taken by those around me can only be properly confronted with violence, but if I were to do that, I would be arrested for assault and not be able to confront more people.
So here I am, wondering each time: is it worth it this time, or will someone else come along 2 minutes later more deserving of my rage?

Heartbreaking news out of north Gaza today
Tumblr media Tumblr media
We write to inform you that renowned journalist Ismail Al-Ghoul and cameraman Ramy El-Rifi of Al-Jazeera were murdered just a few hours ago by the occupation. They were going out to document the scene of another bombing attack, when they were deliberately targeted by the occupation. Footage provided by journalist Osama Al-Ashi in the immediate aftermath of the attack shows that Ismail and Ramy were murdered with targeted precision weaponry, meaning the occupation watched them, waited for them, and executed them in cold blood (warning: graphic footage).
Ismail and Ramy have been documenting the genocide at immense personal cost since the 7th of October 2023. They were previously kidnapped and tortured by the occupation, but survived and continued to remain in north Gaza and document crimes against humanity. They have had many narrow escapes, and today, the occupation was finally successful in its illegal goal of assassinating these prominent journalists.
When western journalists hand-wave their suppression of the IOF’s atrocities in Gaza by claiming no journalists are “allowed” in to report, remember these men. Remind them of these men. These men who lost friends and loved ones, who suffered immensely, and yet chose to remain and continue documenting the genocide against their people. They join the ranks of more than 150 Gazan journalists who were murdered by the occupation to hide its crimes and retaliate for speaking the truth.
حسبنا الله و نع الوكيل
أنا لله و أنا اليه رجعون
God suffices us and he is the best disposer of affairs. We belong to God and to Him we shall return.
Keep fighting for Gaza. Don’t stop talking about north Gaza.
