I’m so upset by the cancellation of My Lady Jane. This was such a fun, smart, sexy show. It is still in Amazon Prime’s top ten streaming shows so it really makes no sense. No one gives time to the shows to build an audience. I’ll be fighting for a renew 🥺

I now watch far more YouTube than I do regular Streaming. Why? Too much goddamn propaganda, baked into everything! I love YouTube and say that, unabashedly. I learn so much there.

Just finished watching Infinity Train (or what’s available of it). What a wonderful, intense adventure of a series~! Now I understand why people wanna put various fictional characters on that darned train, and I’m even more pissed off that it got canceled and can’t be easily watched anymore. Bastard executives. I’ll never forgive them for this. I’m gonna hunt down DVDs so I can at least own the first couple seasons.

there's a lot of reasons to hate the way ad-based levels are now the standard starting level for streaming, but beyond just sheer blind hatred for it, it's also fucking annoying because they don't even have the diversity of actual tv ads. at least when you had regular tv channels you got like. usually a decent variety of tv ads coming your way and some local ads thrown in. with streaming services it's literally the same five fucking ads. i've seen the same ad for the same movie 40+ times because it plays at every single ad break. all this is doing is making me so homicidally irritated you're basically guaranteeing i'm never going to go to macy's or watch this stupid fucking horror movie about a pool. they're forcing us to watch ads and then they're making the ad-watching experience - already bad - even fucking worse.

...Ok, so how're we feeling about the Season 2 Finale for MAWS? I don't want to say anything due to spoilers, but damn do I want to. So, Lex's moving up in the world again. That's all I'm saying about him.

the finale for some reason isn't available to me, it's only on Stack and not Teletoon so I've been waiting for that to change :(

Ever increasing profits, the goal of all publicly traded companies, means that there is never going to be an end to the advertising that they force on us, the increase in charges. This is capitalism. Amazon, a company that made nearly $10B in profits in just one quarter this year. Yeah, that's TEN BILLION in PROFITS in just 3 MONTHS. For those that don't know or that forgot, profit is what is left over after all of a businesses expenses and costs have been met. Profit is the extra money that gets pocketed by shareholders. Bezos holds 12.3% of the shares, so $1.2B of those profits goes to him.

In contrast, Vanguard Group holds about 6.9% of shares, which is about $683M of those profits divided up amongst everyone who's 401Ks and investment accounts are through that company, along with their own shareholders.

Amazon wants you to think that they have to add in advertising on top of what we each already pay them for Prime, so they can continuing increasing their profits.
