Black & White: "White literally takes on Black’s life in order to figure out who hurt him, and when Black wakes up, he does everything in his power to make sure White is safe (even if it isn’t necessarily what is right or what White might want, but Black gets there eventually). They have an established twin connection that’s so strong that Black wakes up from a coma when White fucks his nemesis. Even with their separation at such a young age, it’s clear that they are some of the, if not the, most important people in each other’s lives. Also, I think it’s really interesting that White learns so much about who he is and what he believes through posing as Black, and a lot of their individual strengths and weaknesses balance each other out super well."

Wan & Win & Wiew: "United in supporting each other, especially when their shitty father is acting up. Wiew asking Waan to cuddle right after he was yelled at by their overbearing father literally added five years to my life. Win also had no problem standing up for Waan to their father. Win also set up Waan with one of his besties and pushed him to follow his feelings. Also, Wiew being besties with Win’s boyfriend and looking up to him was the absolute cutest! Them all having dinner with their respective boyfriends at their hotel...exactly. Also, Wiew asking to sleep in bed with Win, him immediately saying no because he wanted to sleep with his boyfriend, and his boyfriend saying Wiew could just sleep with them that night was peak comedy."

Additionally!!! Wan, who claims again and again that he’s a bad brother - proves in this scene that he tries. Which really is 90% of the battle. Wan came, probably from work, because Win asked. And you know what? I bet Wan was worried af because Win doesn’t ask - Win does. Win isn’t the brother who looks for emotional support because, by virtue of being the middle child, he has been taught to give it when needed and otherwise be quiet. So when he reached out to Wan - who feels insignificant and unworthy of being a brother - it worried him. And he came. Even if all he did was listen, this proves that Wan isn’t a bad brother - he just goes about it differently than Win. And because Win is so good at being the caretaker, Wan always felt bad by comparison.

Oh WIn, my poor boy. I wanted to give him a hug so badly, he broke my heart.

If you look at my blog it might seem like I only care about Satine as an accessory to my pet toxic yaoi ship, but I do actually care about her as a character who could've been so much more interesting than the very basic characterization they gave her. I've said this before and I maintain it - she should've been a pacifist with a gun. defending that pacifism applies to institutions and governments not to individuals. she should've worn mandalorian armor and she should've kept her blasters eternally set to stun but still visibly carried blasters. she should've punched pre vizsla in the face. she should've punched maul in the face. she should've been padmé's idol, a role model for what she could've been. not impulsive and lovesick like padmé, not willing to risk her life or forgive anything for love like padmé, but a powerful politician who cared for her people and her culture and wouldn't hesitate to pick up a blaster if she had to.

with everything else going on in master & apprentice i literally FORGOT about qui gon saying, word for word, "oh, obi wan you're so mature for your age i forget you're only seventeen." multiple times in this book but HOLY SHIT i cannot believe they canonized that. that man is one insane giant walking red flag.

Codywan is to me two people who have given everything for all their lives for everyone else, their needs of two not taken into account against the needs of the many, who see this mirrored in someone else.

Someone that not only understands that, but someone who isn't asking of them anything except to share the burden, find peace, understanding, safety, the chance to be vulnerable with someone who just wants them to be happy and loved through it all.

The statues on either side of the marble are showing where WanTul are at in their relationship. Tul won’t tell Wan he’s T-Rex (hence the finger over lips), and Wan doesn’t know/ can’t see that Tul is T-Rex (hence the hand over the eyes)!! What a fun bit of set design!!!!

HI I DON’T THINK WIN GREW UP WEALTHY

He says in episode one that he got Wan’s hand-me-downs and then gave them all to View, and ever since I’ve suspected that either 1) his parents wanted to raise their kids with a manufactured sense of scarcity to avoid spoiling them or 2) the wealth is more recent.

I’m not sure how many hotels they have. In the novel they have at least two: the one they went to for the training camp and the one in Kanchanaburi. The series only refers to one, but it might be a translation thing.

Anyway, regardless, hotels are very much a New Money sort of thing. So when View hoped they’d go bankrupt to get their “old father” back, I leaned a lot harder toward the second option.

It’d make sense why Wan and Win are under so much more pressure. If their family was struggling with a fledgling company when Wan was a child, it’d mean he’s always had the burden of that company’s future on his shoulders. Meanwhile Win was probably given less pressure but also less attention while their family focused on the business and preparing Wan to take over that business. And it’d make sense why View’s never been harassed about what he’s going to do: everything is about the success of the resort(s), so he’s allowed to do what he wants as long as he doesn’t rock the boat or…

…interfere with the responsibilities of the eldest.

Knew all along and was quietly supportive 3. Put his baby brother in the moped cart and covered him so he could cry in peace, without pressuring him into talking about what was upsetting him, since he was not ready yet 4. Let his baby brother ugly cry tears and snot on his shirt -and we're talking about Billkin, the king of ugly crying- and then calmly told him that it was alright and that he could like whoever he wanted."
