January - I guess I didn't draw much this month cuz this isn't that good lawl. but its ok I had fun designing the outfit (Millie, she/they, my oc)

Febuary - Owed arttttt I love how these sorts of headshots turn out I shoul draw them more often (Castiel, he/they, not my oc)

March - FUCK yeah I LOVE THIS THINGG easily one of the best things I made all 2024. I made this for a custom hoodie I got its sooo awesome I'm so happy with it (not an oc at all lol, its based on Darius + Rotteen - More Adventures ~ the Forever Fieldtrip ~)

April - Another month where I didn't draw much of interest but I finally remade a ref for an old ass oc of mine and idk. its always nice when I succeed at drawing someone buff lol (Spine, she/her, my oc)

May - FUCK YEAHHHH LOVE THIS PIECE there was actually another piece I made this month that was really good but ultimately I used this cuz the shading and pose and all that goes hard !!!! It's inspired by Emoticon + Rotteen - Sprung! lol the Halley Labs hyperfixation was going haaaard (Ridorii, she/they, my oc)

June - This is from a jokey ych I made awhile ago lmfao, no one ever bought one (so sad) but thats ok it was fun. If you got this far and want one of these uhhh ask I guess lmfao they're still for sale (Haten, he/they/it, not my oc)

July - ARTFIGHT WOOOOOOO I didn't do too much during artfight but I went HARD when I could !! especially on HL ocs lol.. this is one of them :3 perspective is fun and shading is awesome and overall I'm just really happy with this (Joshua Livingston, he/they/ze, not my oc)

August - Idk what drove me to make this (besides my hyperfixation) but I'm glad I did cuz this goes HAAAARD. its a reference to ON Trax Vol. 5 lol (Uhhhh. theres like. 10 different ocs referenced here, some are mine and some aren't, if you're curious about one in particular just ask lol)

September - Made this before shit hit the fan w/ Patricia but whatever. Bicycle is a fucking AWESOME album and I cannot stress enough how much it speaks to me on a therian level. Had to make something based on it, legally required, and I think it turned out nice (Me aka Jasper, it/they, not an oc lol its just me)

October - Had a wonderful experience (/gen) where a friend I hadn't talked to for months messaged me out of the blue and immediately came out to me. I turned them into a furry within the week. Heres the fursona they commissioned me to make :3 shoutout to them if they're seeing this btw (Suki, they/them, not my oc)

November - Aforementioned friend said I should draw one of my ocs skateboarding, so I did. It turned out, like, surprisingly good? Power of using references I suppose lol. Also I LOVE this guy it's one of my favorite ocs fr (Spectrum, it/spark, my oc)

December - More owed! Woohoo! I got them to draw a temp ref for my JJBA oc, she got me to draw her RE cbc :P It's nothing insane or whatever but its nice (Kobalt, he/him, not my oc)

I watched the specialty dressage (we call it ‘dresuur’) with our best man I think, he’s European champion (I think). Thanks for the info though. The commentators mentioned something about how you can’t really teacher the way a horse steps but you can teach the steps (I think they got different teammates to take turns commenting on each other.

Also, fun fact, a lot of those horses are Belgian breeds, even the ones other countries use.

Last I checked, we now have 5 medals while USA is at 75. It’s understandable because you have a way larger population to choose from (and people interested at a lot more sports at higher levels). I like looking at the statistics for the medals because the USA has like 29 silver, 27 bronze and whatever’s left gold (which is less by a margin).

I can’t watch anything now cuz I’m away (and there’s so much sightseeing), but lucky the heptathlon (which I really want to see because we have two good competitors and a very good shot at gold, also it’s really fun) starts when I get back.

This is the MC of one of my visual novels, which will be a dating sim. But I am kinda dumb when it comes to programming so in order to sorta ease into making the many different visual novel ideas I have- I am starting off with a simple one-character dating sim to dip my toes in the water.

DEATH BATTLE LIVES!!!

That's right, Boomstick! With $737,442 raised (almost 10 times the initial goal!) Death Battle gets to keep going on strong! And in commemoration of the Kickstarter wrapping up, I might as well give my thoughts on all the matchups confirmed through the stretch goals!

Bardock vs Omni-Man (Dragon Ball vs Invincible):

Feels a bit wrong seeing Omni-Man again after only two years, not gonna lie. But at least this time around, he'll actually have some kind of challenge to face in an old-school Saiyan. (Watch them somehow still squeeze in that damn universe shockwave feat)

Bowser vs Eggman (Super Mario vs Sonic the Hedgehog):

The fact that they squeezed in a reference to Eggman's announcement and Bowser's Hotel Mario meme face was perfection. And the animation preview looks absolutely sick. Let's just hope that Bowser got whatever he had on the Moon in Odyssey off there, because we all know what's coming to it...

Kratos vs Asura (God of War vs Asura's Wrath):

The eternal bridesmaid finally gets its chance to shine! And honestly, I don't exactly get the hype around it all to much. I mean it can be cool, yeah, but second place in both Championship polls? How? Not only that, but remember when Kratos' most wanted opponent was Dante instead of Asura? Pepperidge Farms remembers.

Mahito vs Shigaraki (Jujutsu Kaisen vs My Hero Academia):

I haven't watched MHA since season 4 and have never seen JJK so I have nothing to say.

Aang vs Traveler (Avatar: The Last Airbender vs Genshin Impact):

I'm not to hyped on this one either. I don't watch Avatar, and while I like a good few characters in Genshin, the Traveler is one I'm neutral on (Not to mention how I dipped out of the story mid-way through Sumeru). I guess it could be cool, but to me, this one is a bit more filler-like in my eyes.

Ash vs Yugi (Pokémon vs Yu-Gi-Oh!):

Aside from the episode 200 factor, this one is really interesting due to the many ways they could handle it. Since it likely won't be Ash and Yugi themselves throwing hands, it all comes down to what "monsters" are brought onto the battlefield. Obviously, we'll have Pikachu and Dark Magician, but we could also get Ash-Greninja, or Exodia the Forbidden One! Hell, maybe even "weaker" ones like Rowlet or Pot of Greed, which allows Yugi to draw three additional cards from his deck and place them in his hand!

Simon the Digger vs Kyle Rayner (Gurren Lagaan vs DC):

Welcome one of the most infamously back-and-forth toxic debates, in my eyes. While not on the same caliber as Bill vs Discord or Joker vs Giorno, I've seen the tides of debate shift on this so many times. And I... don't really care all that much. The White Lanterns are an area of DC I'm not that familiar with, and I tried watching Gurren Lagaan a few years back but lost interest after the time skip. Not only that, but I feel like the main reason people got interested in this matchup is because of Will of the Drill, and people, lemme break it to you; It's probably not gonna get used in the actual episode. Not saying it absolutely won't, but the chances are slim.

Ruby vs Maka (RWBY vs Soul Eater):

While I've only seen the first 4 volumes of RWBY and know nothing about Soul Eater outside of Venom vs Crona, I guess this one could be interesting. Though I can almost guarantee you that there will be some kind of scythe-lock moment in the fight. It's practically inevitable.

Hulk vs Godzilla (Marvel vs Toho):

I feel like I'm one of the few people who are actually into this matchup. Most people I've seen talk about it online are usually either neutral or flat-out dislike it. Or even weirder, only like it if its MCU Hulk vs Monsterverse Godzilla (And I have no idea why) but I'm really down for this. Here's to hoping Hulk grabs big G by the tail and gives him the Puny God treatment.

Gru vs Megamind (Illumination vs Dreamworks):

WOOOOOOO!! YEAAAAAH, BAYBEEEEEE! That's what I've been waiting for! That's what it's all about! WOOOOOOOO!

But seriously, I'm really happy this episode is finally happening. While it's not my most wanted episode (Infinity Ultron vs Heaven Ascension DIO), my second-most wanted episode (Borg vs Cybermen), and so on and so-forth, this one can still be a grand old time. It'll also likely be an easy wash for Megamind so long as he, y'know... S H O O T S G R U W I T H T H E D E H Y D R A T I O N G U N ! !

And with that, that only leaves us with one episode slot to cover... kinda: the fan-voted rematch slot. Since this one has yet to be decided, I'll tackle this one by saying which episode I'd vote for. And that would be...

Shadow vs Mewtwo (Like a good amount of people seem to be going with)

Hey, I can't help it if that episode sucked and deserved better for such a fitting matchup. It's at least a tad more interesting of a revisit than Master Chief vs Doom Slayer. Not to mention how Shadow's new Doom powers could shake things up from the first time around.

But nevertheless, the future of Death Battle is looking bright, and I look forward to analyzing a bunch of characters weapons, armor, and skills once more.

i throw you an alternate situation. Hope finally finds someone to date who for some reason instills some feelings of jealousy into lightning. Maybe this person is just much prettier, much smarter, much kinder, and all around a better person than lightning. hope doesnt understand why lightning wouldnt want him to date someone so great for him. Like Lightning's kind of being unreasonable. And i bet she wouldn't really understand why she didn't want him to date that person either haaaaaa

Might I reclarify that they've both gone on tons of dates already and this one shouldn't be any different..            

Honestly, this didn’t even really compute at first because there’s no one better than Lightning I’m biased she’s perfect ohoho

but okay, say this is some weird AU where they’ve just been friends for a long time and maybe neither of them have entertained any romantic ideas. or perhaps the thought’s in the back of Hope’s mind, but he doesn’t think it’ll ever happen, so he never tries to pursue it

so then Lightning meets this ~perfect person~ and doesn’t even know that she’s being unreasonable. like she thinks she’s acting normally, but later on when they talk, Hope’s all, “wtf, you were kind of rude...”

and even though Lightning’s sort of embarrassed by that, she just rolls her eyes. “Oh, sorry. I’ll try not to sully the perfect couple with my presence next time.” like wtf Light, could you be any more ridiculous and jealous??

of course, she and Hope are idiots when it comes to their love lives, so neither of them get it at first, why she’s acting so unreasonable. they kind of have a little falling out and don’t talk for awhile, but it’s weird being apart for any length of time because they’re so used to talking and just being around each other :c

they do eventually reconcile, but it’s weird because Hope is still dating this ~perfect person~ and actually does so for quite awhile...because hey, why mess with perfection right?

the whole time they’re together, though, Lightning’s still all angry and rude (though she tries to keep it in check) and Hope feels like there’s just something...missing. maybe it’s that chemistry or whatever, but being with this ~perfect person~ doesn’t feel as perfect as it’s supposed to. he just can’t put his finger on why

weirdly enough, it’s Lightning who figures it out first.

after Hope and the ~perfect person~ break up - perfectly, of course - Hope goes to Lightning just because breakups always suck, intending on just sort of moping because she’s good at letting him know when enough’s enough

“So, um, Light, ~Perfect Person~ and I...”

“What?” she sounds pissed off. “Don’t tell me you’re asking them to marry you or something. Why would you tell me? Are you a total idiot?”

“Wha - Light, no, I actually - ”

“I...” Hope trails off. “Wait. What? You have feelings for me...?”

Lightning’s eyes get wide, because she totally hadn’t meant to say that out loud, but naturally she just gets all defensive. “Just get out.”

she stares at him. “What?”

“Yeah.” and somehow, Hope feels that flutter, that spark that he’s never felt around anyone else - just Lightning.

It’s always been Lightning.

“I think...” he murmurs, drawing closer as all the realization in the world dawns, “that there might be someone even more perfect for me.”

Lightning doesn’t want to dare to think that her idiotic blurting out could’ve actually done something positive for her, but she still dares to ask, “...Who?”

Hope just smiles and holds her close, because the answer’s been so obvious all along.

not that I’m defending technos execution, but what WOULDVE been the alternative for lmanberg? they didn’t know he retired + was trying peace. last they’d seen him, he spawned withers to destroy the city. Is lmanberg expected to just be the bigger man and not punish him in any way?? what alternatives exist or could’ve existed?? he was already exiled, but let’s be real. reinforcing their homes, walls, their armour and creating a sort of Defense Force. like. the idea that Techno Could come back n try n blow shit up again isnt far fetched n itd make Sense for them to be afraid of that. like rather than going Out and confronting him directly they coulda created the ‘butcher army’ more as like..... a defense? strengthening Themselves Just In Case yknow? the idea of living constantly afraid Isnt desirable BUT there was the possibility techno would just be Exiled and stay Away so rather than seeking out violence, they would be prepared In Case of Violence. 

a genuine trial with like. techno’s ‘crimes’ being ‘discussed’, his impacts being laid out, and discussions of what they could Do with him coulda worked. possibly. itd open a conversation rather than continue violence for violence

ALTHOUGH. like. rationally speaking there was No other thing that coulda happened. narratively speaking, it Does make Sense for all the characters involved in the butcher army to want to attack techno in some way, or in ranboo’s case, getting dragged into it. techno wasnt gonna be living peacefully forever, his past actions Had to come to him in some way. 

also those two points Are shaky ofc. like you said, for the ‘trial’, why would techno respect or acknowledge the justice system theyd put in place as the government? and they Could have come to the same conclusion of killing him, which would just end up here again. and for the first part..... too nonconfrontational. cant tell a story without some conflict. 

all in all though. yeah. itd a Happened. its not like techno DIDNT fucking kill ppl of course. him Not being sought out for revenge, power, consequences, whatever was jus like. never Not gon happen i guess. best and most reasonable way to push plot forward imo. 

its kinda like. i cant really think of a best ‘alternative’ or another means they coulda gone. ignoring techno wouldnt a made sense.

im also of the opinion that FUCK the government WOOOOOOO BURN THAT SHIT. so i feel there wouldnt be a morally ‘right’ way for it to go

There is, Punk thinks, something strange happening here.

2. You belong somewhere you can be free

Adam hasn’t done this as long as Kenny has. He didn’t lose someone as fundamental, didn’t harden himself as surely, didn’t slip so far so fast. There are still places inside of him that are soft.

3. The stars hurl all their fundamental

He was told, once - some friend with a cheap tarot deck playing at mind reader - that the Tower is bad news. That it’s change, it’s alteration, a fall from grace. An upheaval, a lightning strike - Lichtenberg figures branching through veins and burning from the inside out. It’s supposed to be scary. When she pulled it from the deck, she’d waggled her fingers with a grin and an exaggerated wooooooo and pronounced him cursed.

4. Take no scorn and wear the horn

Punk can't resist the Eye. He knows he can't, he knows it's inevitable, but the skin-crawling disgust he feels for himself whenever he indulges, gluts himself on someone else's thoughts, dreams, fears, doesn't make it easy. The first time he dips into an(other) avatar's psyche - Kingston, at least it's Kingston, who for all the hopped up snare drum-heartbeat aggression of the Slaughter is unbothered enough to cast a lazy wave and tell Punk to hang out or whatever while they both blink blood out of their eyes - he pulls himself out with a desperate gulping gasp and ice water rushing down his spine, and then immediately pukes on Kingston's shoes. Kingston's gracious-ish about it, at least, and Punk buys him new Timbs as a thank you.

5. Untitled Kenny/Hangman(/Kenny) t4t time travel nonsense

Adam hates getting texts from either of the Bucks because they usually mean either something terrible is happening or something terrible is going to happen imminently, probably as a direct result of them texting him. And there is no way in hell that come upstairs and bring your strap is in any way going to change that pattern.

Punk hadn’t wanted help backstage after the match. Hadn’t wanted the fans to see him as weak, as feeble, but. God. He’s regretting it now. He barely makes it back through the tunnel before he collapses against a wall, fighting back nausea. His head is spinning, he probably has a concussion. Fantastic. Great.

Adam feels like shit. He’s not hurt, not really. Sore, yeah, of course, he just got dumped through a chair by Lance Fucking Archer, and his emotions are bruised (there are too cows in Virginia, Lambert), but he’s fine. He’s had worse, on both ends.

As for analysis, uh. I really like either ‘get the entire exposition out of the way’ style first lines or single-line intros that tell you nothing; I think Adam Page looks his best when he’s mildly bothered; and CM Punk is the finest whore in all of Chicago.

i think its funny that even inside my head i tend to massively simplify the gender/sexuality of MANY of my ocs for convience’s sake (like listen i do fucking shorform inside my head as well because i KNOW the thought but i do not want to take the time to think it in words) but like,,,, i’ve been having Thoughts, you know?

so uhhhh case study of various ocs of mine and their “condensed” gender identities/sexualities vs what they Actually Are because hey! im having those kinds of thoughts (and yes im also thinking about my Own deal as well but we are doing that through the medium of fictional made up characters it’s Fine)

cutting here because uhhhh not everyone wants to see a long-ass post of rambly garbage about oc queer stuff even though i am really only doing the characters i find to have the most interesting bits w/ this, that i have thought out the most. i bet tally’s whole deal is super interesting! but i also have not developed them very much whereas i think about the others Fucking Constantly.

1. Kat: ace lesbian (cis)

like, ok that Works, for her, she’s cis, she’s definitely only ever been romantically attracted to woman (no not a typo she saw her gf/wife and decided That One and this has never changed) and ranges from “doesn’t give much of a shit abt sex but would attempt if partner so desired” to “ew”. likely lesbian demiromantic, definitely still ace.

she was assigned female at birth, mostly still presents as such, and goes by she/her pronouns. so like, cis. but ALSO she has little to no concept of what “gender” even is (the francaphoneness makes this Worse because everything apparently has a gender and it’s all apparently entirely arbitrary) and mostly just guesses and goes along with whatever people say. definitely gets “misgendered” (she doesn’t give a shit) on a fairly regular basis because she can and does still pass for a teenage boy well into adulthood. if she had grown up not largely isolated from most of human society? who knows. maybe she still would’ve just continued to present as and ID as female because it’s Easy and not harming her to do so. maybe the rigidity of the slowly disolving (thank god) gender binary would’ve made her feel trapped and she would’ve done something about it. i have no idea.

2. Lily: also a cis ace lesbian

yes but also no. for a WHILE (into her late teens) she IDs as aroace lesbian because she just,,,, does not have any romantic or sexual attraction to really anyone. she still fucks and has a lot of one-night-stands through uni (it’s fun, it feels good, she’s good at it, she likes being good at things, she’s also definitely some form of ADHD and is almost constantly both over and understimulated and is constantly seeking novel and interesting sensations and sex (especially w/ kink) has a READY supply of those) mostly all with women or NP people and maybe even a dude or two because Science and Curiosity before she decides that actually, no thanks. eventually after meetng endgame GF realizes that she might, in fact, actually be demi (because ohhhhh That’s what a crush feels like) and then mostly sticks w/ that for a while

gender is uhhhhh well she’s definitely involved enough with human society to have Thought about this and to have like, context for gender n shit and has generally decided on “a woman, but like, very gay about it” and is fine with that. BUT she also... doesn’t really have that much emotion about gender and how it applies to her specifically, and for... a good couple years at the beginning of her superhero career gives out zero pronouns for her Changeling (her alter ego) and has her team to do the same. most people end up going with he/him for Changeling bc wooooooo misogyny (robot-looking fucker doesn’t have visible tits? clearly a man) but some go with they/them, or she/her, or even it/its. Lily doesn’t care at all and keeps a careful tally of all the pronouns that are used for Science. there’s multiple reasons for playing it this way, partially to refuse to narrow down her secret identity at all, partially for the data, and partially to fuck with people, but.... maybe just to see what it’s like, yknow?

also she goes by almost exclusively male pronouns for a year and a half when she’s 29/30 because she has to fake her death and steal the identity of her murderer but that’s more like,,,,,, disguised as a man trope as opposed to actual gender fuckery but like at some point we’ll have to unpack Why i have So Goddamn Many of my characters Do This, and specifically have lily go by alt identities with different pronouns all the goddamn time.

(all she’s sure of is that she’s fine being a woman, and also that she’s definitely doesn’t have the same feelings re: gender that Tally, her nonbinary teammate, does. doesn’t mean she’s not not cis! but like. listen she’s dealing with enough.)

3. Ve: triple A baeby (aroace agender)

no because Ve is an alien bug and everything is more complicated than that SOOOOOOO. ok. aro? check. no romantic attraction, but that’s not queer in terms of her species because that IS the norm that IS the centre. ace? check, but same as above. no sexual attraction is normal. Technically, Ve isn’t even sexually mature because she’s never moulted into a drone, AND she (and all other workers) are haploid and so don’t even really have sex organs/produce gametes. it’s really more like spores? since it’s just mitosis to produce the gametes that then get sprinkled like icing sugar onto the eggs the queens produce. sexual reproduction HAPPENS but it’s entirely external, and yy’vae as a whole have never really developed any form of.... mating behaviour or model for sexual attraction. not to say that yy’vae CAN’T develop those feelings, because who am i to say, but the vast vast majority do not. really any sexual “attraction” that yy’vae ever feel is more repulsion because there’s in-built anti-inbreeding functions when they moult into drones, but the way it works is like,,, still just through their pheromone senses which is used for All communication w/ others of their species so like. not really.

gender-wise, uh, yeah they’re alien bugs. technically there are two to three sexes, depending on how you look at it (diploid egg-laying queens, haploid sterile workers, and fertile spore-producing drones (which are just a different moult stage of workers)) and the gender/pronoun system IS based on that but also not really because it’s also based on the function an individual serves in society. there’s behaviours that only queens or only workers or only drones take part in, there’s roles that only one gender can fill, ect ect. it’s a biological caste system but with a sapient species it’s GONNA be weird. most yy’vae go by she/her or they/them pronouns if they have to use human/english pronouns (queens tend to favour she/her, workers tend to favour they/them, drones tend to keep whatever human pronoun they went by before moulting, mostly they just kinda go with it) and ve personally mostly goes by she/they (i am using she/her in this for Consistency). again! that’s the norm! that’s the centre! in a societal sense, she isn’t queer at all.

but then, she is also somewhat outside of the normal caste structure because she’s queenless, in a society where connection to your queen/leader/mother is a Big part of the social structure (which ties heavily into gender!!!!!). To the point that she has to take meds to prevent herself from involuntarily moulting into a drone because she can’t prevent that the “natural”/”normal” way, which is routine semi-ritual groomings by a closely related queen to exchange pheromones and solidify that You Are A Worker In This Colony (and therefor do not have to moult and fly off to pollinate some other queen’s eggs)

And what’s more, when she meets her queen, she does not fall into that social structure, either. Specifically, when Ve meets her mother queen for the first time, and finds out who she is, Ve explicitly does not submit to the normal queen/child grooming pheromone exchange, and instead, actually postures at that queen. which is a thing only queens should ever do at eachother. which is a thing that workers should not even Do (some workers will mimic it at eachother to establish who will take a leadership position, but it doesn’t really like. Do anything functionally)

so, in that case, as a queenless worker who preformed queen-like behaviour and disobeyed her queen, she’s definitely queer as in “fuck you”

Dream Time with Abs

On this episode: First Dream with a young modern rebel Din Djarin

Context: I recently added the Session series by @mandocrasis on my TBR list and my brain said “Alright, bet.” and ran with the idea of it. So, I guess this dream is inspired by the series???? I don’t know. I haven’t read it yet. But, this dream was too good not to share.

Also 18+ warning - some sexual themes are mentioned in this dream but never actually put into motion.

The Story:

No idea why my dreams have been involving schools with varying age ranges lately but HERE WE GO.

It all started out with me in a gym class. I was talking to a group of chatty girls, and they started gossiping about the rebel Din Djarin. One girl, we’ll call her Stacy, mentioned how she wanted to quote “get in his pants.” I rolled my eyes at Stacy, and she got really defensive over it. To appease the Stacy, the girls decided that they would pass a note onto Din about which girl, me or Stacy, he would rather hook up with. (It’s so teenage lunchroom-esque. I love it)

I wasn’t too worried about it since I’m practically a nobody, but it still bothered me that they would send such a crude letter to him. But also, my brain really wanted to see this plot through, so I allowed it. The girls came back by the end of the day with huge grins on their faces. As it turns out, Din was more interested in me than Stacy. In fact, he had his eye set out for me anyways.

Now, I start panicking internally. Like, what? All I’ve heard are whispers about the guy and how popular he was (or unpopular, it’s never really discussed why he was the talk of the school). Why would he agree to hook up with a nerd like me? (Spoiler alert: that isn’t explained in this dream either, sorry)

Regardless, the girls were really excited for me and decided to help a girl out. They scouted the perfect classroom for me to stakeout in. It was currently being held by a class full of children (what kind of a school is this???), but, eventually, it would be empty, giving me the best opportunity to get my freak on. They even tried giving me pointers (in shushed voices of course) on how to, for lack of better terms, stick it in there in a classroom setting. Then, they just leave me there.

So there I was, sitting in this classroom full of children, waiting for Din to come do whatever with me. I was so incredibly nervous, constantly shifting in my seat. What was I even doing? But in my mind, to keep the dream going, I was like…

After waiting for a few minutes, Mr. Din Djarin finally walked into the classroom.

And when I tell you that this boy was so fine, that this boy was so scrum-dilly-icous… Let me paint you a picture of him. Din was much younger than he is typically. He was not like the man he is rn, he was a boy (still my age of course, but not aged like the fine wine he is in Mandalorian).

The best way to describe him is Pedro Pascal as he looked in Hermanas, but with a white t-shirt and leather jacket over it.

Wooooooo. Okay. Well, now I was trying to play it off cool to match his sick rebel vibes while simultaneously going into meltdown mode on the inside. He pulled up a seat next to me, placed his bag on the floor, and sat down.

“Hey,” he said all nonchalantly.

“Hey,” I said not so collected back at him.

“Looks like we’re going to be here a while.”

“Yeah… Got any homework you need to do?” 🤦🏻Nice one, nerd. God.

Din laughed, but not condescendingly so. It’s almost like he was actually relieved I was more concerned about his grades than having sex with him.

“Yeah, actually. I’ve got a quiz coming up.”

“Well, good then.”

So he got out his binder and started studying for some unknown quiz.

Now…this was the part I remembered the most because it felt so real. While we were sitting there as he was studying (and I nosily looking over his shoulder to see what he was studying), I got brave enough and held his hand. I physically felt his hand. I will not be able to forget his touch for a while. And all of you writers out there like to write Din and Pedro characters alike with large calloused hands (and respectfully so, most of his characters are hard workers). His hand was soft. It easily enveloped mine still, but they were gentle. I think he smiled out of the corner of his mouth, but I didn’t look at him as hard out of nervousness.

So we sat and sat, and sat some more with our hands locked like this. All the kids left, but the teacher still hung around. By that point, I was frustrated and really wanted the teacher to get lost. But, knowing Ms. Goody Two-Shoes me, I wouldn’t do that. I was more concerned about my parents not knowing where the hell I was.

I got to thinking. I whispered to Din. “You know, we don’t have to do this here. Maybe we can go somewhere away from here, away from student hangouts?”

“Well, I’ve got a truck. You wanna head out?” (Btw, I imagined rebel Din’s truck as Bella Swan’s old red Chevy truck…if that’s any interest to you…)

“Sure. Lemme just…” I got out my phone and texted one of my parents.

Hey! Going to get a bite with a buddy. Be home soon.

We headed out, hands still interlocked, with Din leading the way.

Now, this is the part we’re things get interesting. On our way out, I stopped dead in my tracks in front of one classroom door and made Din flip around due to the suddenness of it.

He looked confused at me. “What?”

“I’m sorry. It’s just… I heard there was a baby in art room class.”

Din raised his hands up like he was saying, “And?”

“Well, this is the art room.” I shuffled my feet. “And, I kinda want to see it.” I flashed a smile at him. But I didn’t even wait for his response, I just went in the classroom.

Din stood at the doorway confused for a moment. He straightened his jacket and acted like this was all a part of his plan. “I know my way around this place.” He didn’t.

When we both were in the room, we looked around to find the baby with a small cluster of students ogling at and playing with. And, to no surprise, it was Grogu. Grogu did not change his appearance in the dream AT ALL. We just all accepted the green skinned, bug eyed, pointy eared baby.

After Din and I spent a few moments cooing and making wiggly fingers at the baby, we went to go talk to the teacher about how cute the kid is and how proud he must be.

But the teacher was like, “Oh no. That’s not my baby. I’m just babysitting for a few days. That baby is on it’s way to back to be reunited with his cult.”

Din and I looked at the man like he was crazy. We then looked at each other a bit uneasy over it. This didn’t sit well with the two of us.

So instead of heading out to his truck, we went to go research more about this mysterious cult (I’m guessing at the library??? idk) As it turns out, this cult is notorious for stealing family’s’ babies, and adopts them into their own weird cult stuff.

Din and I looked up from the book we were reading in and stared at each other. We didn’t speak a single word to one another, but I knew we had one goal in common -

We were going to steal back a baby that night.

Hopefully I’ll get to see rebel Din again, and we go steal babies to bring back to their families. Maybe hold hands again, maybe have sex? Who knows! Cause I don’t 😀
