he’s not even sure what he’s saying anymore. don’t get him wrong, he had a point -- it’s just that he’s forgotten said point. ( and, why wouldn’t he with all the alcohol pumping through his veins. ) he can’t remember the tributes’ names. though, they don’t seem much like fighters. not very cunning, either. he’d never say that out loud -- probably. he’s stumbling over his words at this point -- something about shelter and water. the only suggestions he can ever provide.

haymitch watches as effie lifts her hand from the table -- as if she’s about to ask a question. instead, she offers a slight wave of her hand. ( he makes a mental note when he notices the shimmer on her nails -- matching perfectly to the [ . . . ] monstrosity she’s put on her head this year. ) his hand lifts, as he brings his glass of liquor up to his lips. blue eyes blink for a moment, willing the blurred vision away. there’s a part of him thankful for her interruption. he leans back in his chair, his eyes focusing on effie. the way her lips move as the speaks, how her brows lift and fall as she emphasizes her words, both of her hands now raises and making various motions in the air.

eyes slip back towards the tributes -- the children he’s been tasked with training. they don’t even seem like they’re listening -- rather just shoveling food into their mouths as quickly as they can manage. ( he can’t really blame them ; after all, he was once in their place. ) a light sigh slips from his lips, as he places his glass back on the table. seat is pushed back as he stands, tossing the cloth napkin on his empty place. “alright, i’ve done my duties, i’m going to sleep.” his eyes move towards the tributes -- their wide eyes already on him. “good luck, stay alive, etcetera.” even he can hear the hollowness of his words. eyes move back to effie. he touches his index finger under her chin for just a moment -- barely a touch at all. “as always, you’ve been an absolute pleasure.” he makes a point to coat his words with sarcasm, before he turns away from the table. he has to keep his hand against the wall as he move, focusing carefully on making it to his room without tripping.

Biggest mischaracterization people have about Stan and Ford is that Stan is the weird feral one and Ford is well put together.

Like? They are both massive weirdos, but one ran a successful business for 30 years, takes pretty decent care of two children for months, and showers regularly.

The other one fell into a situationship with a demon bc the demon called him a good boy, drank human blood just to see how it tasted, gave a child he barely knows a crossbow, and got banned from the library because he stank too bad.

Ford is "racoon with rabies" coded.

My less popular opinion (and what I believe to be implied by the art in Lost Days) is that rather than waking up in a fully grown body Jason didn’t actually complete his puberty until after his Lazarus pit dip while he was on his murder tour. Imagine you’re tied up in a basement in Berlin getting interrogated by a teenager and his voice is cracking the entire time and if you laugh he’s going to shoot you

#Late puberty Jason truthers rise #Egon calling up Talia like ‘did you send me a middle schooler what is this’. ‘He’s technically high school aged actually’#he would’ve been like 18 when he finally regained consciousness but the way he’s drawn could easily be mistaken for 15 #I know people love the body dysmorphia angst of Jason waking up big but I offer you this: Jason wakes up looking basically the same to a #world that has moved on without him and is unrecognizable. His death/injuries stunted him he existed for years in a state of suspension #while the world passed him by. He was on pause while everyone kept moving on and he didn’t get unpaused until the Lazarus pit and he has #to scramble to catch up. He’s actually 18 but the last thing he remembers is being 15 and his body reflects this state #and then once his mind is finally back online puberty hits him like a truck. Just look at the difference between how Jason is drawn #immediately after his dip in the Lazarus pit vs the end of lost days when his training arc is over #It implies it could’ve been multiple years but in order to fit with the timeline of other comics I personally don’t think it #would’ve been that long. I think he just sprouted up like a weed #Jason Todd #dc #I think Jason is technically still growing by the time he’s red hood. The be-speckled ghost oversees the room.

He’s happy to spend Halloween with everyone again.

When Malleus Draconia offered to make an Endless Halloween night to continue the joys of Halloween, of course he jumped on board too.

Just to spend time with everyone just a bit more.

Especially now that he remembered.

How fun! It is to see everyone enjoy the Halloween they preached about. To see his life long achievement come to fruition.

The colors! The costumes! The music! All of it more merry more than ever with close friends present.

They might not remember outwardly but the occasional glances his way tells they feel a kindred spirit.

That’s enough for him.

He can enjoy Halloween with them once again. Old friends. From his time in the book. And one from his travels, a mischievous one who now has short hair. The only one who remembers him from this motley crew.

This is Halloween! He exclaims with the other ghosts.

Let’s dance and be merry!!

He approaches you.

He’s been watching you all night.

Offers you a hand, you accept with a slightly confused look.

A part of you remembers.

He kisses your hand before pulling you for a dance.

Unbeknownst to you and all, you were dancing with the King of Halloween.

One more night and then everything will return back to normal.

But oh what fun it is! To have spent it with you and friends.

To one Skully J. Graves, it was the best Halloween he’s ever celebrated.
