so i started this show and it just gets worse and worseeeee not only did it lift the romance subplot directly from twilight (and not well) but they also are trying to play the forbidden love angle hard in the fantasy racism vein except it's a "cross-species" relationship between the two whitest people i've ever seen in my life and there are three people of color in the whole (first season of the) show who aren't villains and it seems that every other episode (and sometimes ebery episode and sometimes twice an episode!) there is a man physically or magically subjugating a woman and i keep waiting for the big reveal at the end to be stolen from fucking rainbow rowell

she waves her hand a little, just to beckon him over before cupping her lips as if meaning to tell him a secret. only, it wasn't anything of the sort, it was merely a trap to get him close just so she could lick the corner of his mouth with a pierced tongue.

Oh, it was that pretty girl. The one who was way, way - did he say way? - way out of his league. He didn't know her name, or who she was. They'd just... Flirted a bit, that one time? Nnoitra didn't know if it could count as flirting, since he was not very good at it.

He tipped his head to the side, not understanding her at first. Then, he realized she wanted to beckon him closer. He was always towering over everyone. It wasn't exactly normal for anyone to WANT him closer to whisper in his ear or whatever. He bent down to get closer to her, his bangs sliding to cover his whole eyepatch. She leaned into his personal space, and he half way thought she was going to give him a kiss. Which would be really out-of-the-blue and a clear message that she wanted some dick. Then, he felt her soft pierced tongue lick the corner of his mouth.

A surprise, needless to say. His expression reflected this, but only for a moment. Then his thin lips pulled up into a grin, big teeth peeking out. He dipped his own tongue out, almost meeting hers. Almost. There was no way she'd do something like this if she wasn't into him. Did that mean she WASN'T out of his league after all?
