Just to be perfectly clear: I am voting for whoever is on the ballot that isn't Trump. I don't need any further information and that has been true since he announced he was running. Nothing whatsoever has changed. I'm voting for the party. I don't care who the nominee is. Just. For the record.

For my US American friends, if you haven't yet voted please make sure you do! I know that many of you may feel like you're not loving either presidential candidate, but voting is about a LOT more than just choosing a president.
Here where I live in California, for example, there's an amendment to the state constitution to redefine marriage and remove outdated language stating that marriage is only valid between a man and a woman. Even though same-sex marriage is legal in this state, without a constitutional amendment that legality could be attacked in coming years. This amendment codifies marriage for all California couples.
Your votes make history.
Calvin isn't old enough to vote and he doesn't know what voting is, so he needs us to make good choices.

Voters in the 18th Congressional District (East Harlem), line up outside a polling place on Fifth Ave., between 111th and 112th Streets, to cast their vote, November 2, 1948. The district was the scene of a three-way fight for the House of Representatives seat of Rep. Vito Marcantonio of the American Labor Party. He was opposed by John Ellis, Republican-Liberal candidate, and John P. Morrissey, Democratic candidate.

Went with my dad and got my family's ballots in (woo! Everyone who can, vote!) but there was a car there watching and my dad was like "what is he doing? What is he writing down?" and I had to explain to him that people have been known to come watch people drop off ballots as a way to intimidate voters and so he started to pull over so he could get out and confront them and they drove off right quick so. Nice to know where I get it from I guess.
