Thank god they have a light there so fenek doesn't have to be scared in the dark all alone...... Honestly love it so much....... Reminds me so much of both @ mouseshouses on tumblr and also of the corner installations by mirella von chrupek which were also in Warsaw......

Another garden project

I have a lilac bush!  It’s blooming!

BUT.  It only has ten blooms.

The damn thing is nearly ten feet tall,  and it only has ten little clumps of flowers.  Apparently, this means it needs “rejuvenation pruning,” which basically means :

Fuck that shit up!

Lilacs do well with hard pruning, cutting the whole bush down to 6-12 inches.  This pruning, along with some fertilizer, encourages the bush to grow back healthy and put out lots of flowers. 

That kicks ass, because pruning is some of my favorite yard work...and because happy, flowery lilacs are some of my favorite plants. :D
