Adding a bit that may not be AS relevant, but I used to wear eye patches off and on during college to help deal with double-vision-induced migraines
Depth perception: Even with only 1 eye, you can still often tell generally where things are by size and because your brain is very smart. My issues -- even sometimes with both eyes available, thanks shitty double vision -- manifests more like "I reached for that door handle 3 times and just hit air before I finally grabbed the damn thing" or "I missed the head of the screw with the screwdriver twice before I got it in" type stuff. My aim is worse upside down. Thank god I'm not a surgeon!
Neck pain: My neck lists to the left to favor my dominant eye, and I also often have a head tilt in the direction that helps stabilize my vision into 1 image... And yes, the pain after a whole day is real 😭
writing advice for characters with a missing eye: dear God does losing an eyes function fuck up your neck. Ever since mine crapped out I've been slowly and unconsciously shifting towards holding my head at an angle to put the good eye closer to the center. and human necks. are not meant to accommodate that sorta thing.

The bunch of scrap metal is a pale imitation of your imaginary robotic father
Sometimes a family is a gay teenage witch, his recently resurrected twin brother, the parents of the body he’s possessing, the ghost of his babysitter who kills all her covens, Death, a rabbit, a presumed dead witch who you don’t consider your mom, a bunch of scrap metal, and Patti Lupone

Last night I dreamt of a scene where Wanda Maximoff met William Kaplan's mother and sobbed in her arms, thanking her for loving him, for being his mom, for giving him a good life and for doing such an amazing job with him. In the same dream, Billy got in an elevator with Tommy—who had wanted to just run up the stairs with his super speed—but Billy wanted to just pause time for a bit, to not run and speed things up just because it's convenient, and to just talk—and so time in a bottle started playing and they hugged and cried and confronted the fact they're brothers and it was great. And when the elevator reached the top floor the whole coven of chaos + eddie + the kaplans + wanda + pietro (xmen pietro. ralph fucking bohner--) + vision + nicholas scratch was there alive and well i SHIT you NOT i wrote a fix-it-fic in my SLEEP

Agatha all along spoiler
I have a headcanon (that I'm sure I'm not the only one to have) about Billy and Tommy.
In WandaVision, Wanda made the twins, like Agatha made Nicky, alone. Vision being a robot, he can't really share DNA with them, so he can't be the biological father. And Nicky doesn't have a father, however we can all agree that he looks like Rio, which means she could be his second biological parent.
Both Agatha and Rio are witches (the original green witch) so technically having kids between women, between witches, is possible. And in WandaVision who was the only other witch around except for Wanda?
So yeah my headcanon is that Agatha is also the twins second biological parent.

The Avengers 2012 era was the best time ever in the fandom
Thor loves pop tarts, Clint lived in the vents, Bruce and Tony did science together, Steve was the mom friend of the team and did art in his free time, Natasha was cool aunt of the team, Loki was there too and a bunch of other characters like Peter, Sam, Bucky, Vision and Wanda all lived in the Avengers tower together
It was a much simpler time where everyone in the fandom was chill and having fun together

Even sooner, actually.
In the comics, Wanda is a Jewish Romani woman. In MCU, she is Caucasian and implied to be Christian.
Beyond that (pre Magneto retcon, as it was likely only done because of the rights to the characters):
• She joined nazi organisation in MCU. As I already mentioned, she is supposed to be Jewish Romani, and her parents were Holocaust survivors.
• She's also supposed to be brown skinned btw
• In comics, she was raised among the Roma (which is important both for representation and her character development).
• She's also a mutant in the comics.
• also, isn't she supposed to be pansexual?
And if we start nitpicking (which I will):
in MCU she's from Sokovia (a fictional coutry), in comics she's from Transia (a different fictional country, elsewhere)
In comics, her powers are pink. In MCU, they are red. This was later changed in the comics, like other things, to match the MCU.
In MCU her hair is straight-ish and ginger most of the time, in comics, her hair is dark brown and curly
Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't her eye color also different?
Vision is not the only relationship she' been in, and possibly not the most interesting one, either. That's subjective, tho.
In the MCU, she seems not to care about her family except for Vision, later on not even him.
She has a middle name in the comics.
Might have forgotten something, but I feel like I summed up the most important issues in the first part.
Anyway, I feel like in MCU, everything that made Wanda Wanda was taken away from her, to the point that I'm thinking, is this even the same character? Is it even supposed to be??
No one wants to talk about how horrendously the MCU has been treating and characterizing Wanda Maximoff since Civil War. And that is largely because the majority of MCU fans are Tony stans and/or have never even read a Wiki page for the 616 or 1610, let alone a comic book.

reblog not for a “bigger sample size” but because polls like this are a fun way to help people reinforce their own self-concept and passing it along so that other people can also have the opportunity to strengthen their sense of self by pressing a button is a cool and nice thing to do
