And oh, it feels even better this time around. Gwen and Karen are sheer gems, and their performances as Alice and Veronica are always beautifully nuanced. I miss them heaps!

open to : m / f / nb muse : veronica vale aguirre (she/her, 31, pansexual, magical warrior) plot : heads up, this gets a little dark. currently deep into daughter of no worlds and this is kind of inspired by this. basically, ronnie is a warrior with magical abilities in a fantasy world. she is part of an order of magic wielders who convinced her to absorb a form of raw magic to help defeat their enemies which is actually a ruthless, possessive entity that takes over your mind and feeds on your anger. your muse is a mentor and/or fellow warrior who previously hosted the entity (which ronnie likely doesn't know). your muse has found ronnie in the aftermath of a blackout where the entity took full control... literally could go anywhere, just give me.

darkness, that was all ronnie could see. it had locked her away in the back of her mind and taken over. she occasionally got flashes of what was going on around her but it had taken full control. every time she saw what was going on, she threw herself against the wall the entity had locked her behind, trying to escape to no avail. how long was she locked in there? it could have been hours, minutes or just mere seconds. however, it only relinquished control to her when she felt its strength start to wain. it was tired... must have been hours right? she could feel its exhaustion as it curled into a corner of her consciousness and was still. finally able to regain awareness of her surroundings, veronica was horrified by what she saw. there she stood, in the middle of a battlefield. she remembered walking into this battle, giving the magic within her mind a small amount of control to use the ability herself but then her anger took over and it slipped through with it. in her hand, there was a dagger, covered in blood. around her were the bodies of dozens of people. she saw the crests on their jackets. not all of them were the enemy... she knew she had done this because the flesh of her own people was black with rot, a new ability that came with the companion inside her head. the blade slipped from her hand and there was a clatter, followed by a thud as she fell to her knees. ronnie brought her hands to her mouth to muffle her sobs but she quickly realised they were covered in blood and gagged, spitting the metallic taste from her mouth. when she looked up, she saw the familiar figure coming toward her and ronnie looked at him with devastated eyes, "what have i done?"

"i never knew my real abuela, but having abuela around was nice. she meant so much to all of us. she would have taken you right in as one of her own if you knew her," vanessa told her a bit sadly. she truly did miss abuela and washington heights. though she'd wanted so badly to leave and make a name for herself, the people there had left a huge impression on her. she often found herself dreaming of it, dreaming of the noises and the people. it was rough, but it was still her home. they were all a family there, banding together to help one another. "i like helping people, but i'm afraid i'm not too good at it. you seem to be a natural at it though."

Roni's smile is sad as she hears the woman speaking, noting that sadness and recalling that same feeling from when she's lost her loved ones. "I can tell from the way you speak about her, but I don't know, I think I would have only caused her trouble." She admits with a small shrug, knowing just how hard it had been for her own abuelo even if he wasn't nice to anyone including blood. "No, I doubt that, you'd be better off at it than me, I'm merely giving advice."

while she did open the door to let her in, veronica had no intention of giving her what she wanted. she would give her some water and food perhaps but no money and she wouldn't take any drugs. she knew this feeling. the all time low that came with having nobody else to turn to, "i'm not giving you any money," she voiced her thoughts out loud, "but i made some lasagna. you can have some of that, you look like you haven't eaten in days."

the words that came out of the other's mouth definitely wasn't something she wanted to hear. rory needed help and whether that was financially or otherwise, she needed someone who was going to be there for her. "ronnie, please...i don't know who else to turn to."

Tilting her head in curiosity, she raises an eyebrow at the other and rather genuinely, smiles. "I like you." She simply states and nods her head. "I won't say that fearing death is a weak trait, it's an incredibly valid one and at one point, I was terrified of it too, but coming from a world where you have to watch your friends die at such a young age, you get to a point of accepting it when it one day happens to you as well. What's life worth when no one you care about is around anymore?"

Hm, well, your recent answers about the Edmund/Veronica routes have just given me more questions about them, lol.

Is the poly route polygamy? I don't think polygamy is technically a form of adultery, but it may still be illegal, I don't know.

Is the poly a triad or V, or a choice? Do we decide who the hinge is in a V?

Let's say I were to go with my original plan (before realizing adultery is apparently illegal in this world, so it would have repercussions for the marriage) of going with the solo Edmund route. Edmund is, of course, the king, and therefore higher station than the MC. Would this not then entail that the heir would be of House Wynd, not House Merivale, and therefore wouldn't solve the issue of a Merivale heir at all? Maybe I'm thinking too much in RPG terms, but it just seems a bit odd to present a quest and have one of the solutions be to... not solve it, lol.

Let me try and explain then:

The poly route is polygamy in that three people are in a relationship not that all three are married, there is no distinction according to the law between polygamy and adultery and you can only be married to one person at a time and under the poly route you do just hide your relationship because it isn't public knowledge and sometime in the far future of the epilogue perhaps Edmund forces Doctrinal Evolution in the Chutch to attempt to legalize polygamy.

I haven't really considered it in much detail if I'm entirely honest but I suppose when I thought first about writing the poly-route it would be a triad but I'm not opposed to making it a V besides that it is scope creep.

I'm more confused about your last question really.

If the MC and Edmund had a child, their firstborn would be the heir to the Vale and Great Lakes and the heir to the Wetlands, separately but at the same time.

If they went on to have a second child, the parents (eg. Edmund and the MC) could petition for that child to take on the title of the more junior parent in their specific relationship (heir to the Vale and Great Lakes) while the firstborn would remain the heir to the Wetlands which entails becoming the monarch following Edmund.

I fail to see what issue isn't solved under this but maybe I'm reading this wrong and not seeing the issue 🥲

I think I see your confusion (let me know if this is it) but I think your presuming that Edmund has a higher rank than the MC but he doesn't because in terms of what is being inherited which is the paramountcy of a region, they are of an equal rank.

Hace mucho tiempo que escucho canciones del musical de heathers y mi favorita de todas es "i say no" ya que es cuando verónica reconoce que no hay nada que hacer con jd,reconoce que el no va a cambiar y que no vale la pena estar con alguien que la usa como excusa para hacer cosas malas,simplemente me encantan estas escenas en las que los personajes confrontan a sus parejas abusivas y reconocen que merecen algo mejor.

Ahora últimamente he vuelto a consumir contenido de she-ra y las princesas del poder y me doy cuenta de que ODIO EL CATRADORA Y TODO LO QUE TENGA QUE VER CON CATRA.

¿En que se relaciona esto con la canción de heathers i say no? Simple,esta canción es el ejemplo perfecto de como pudieron manejar la "relación" de catra y adora al final,catra es irredimible y adora merecía decirle sus verdades en la cara,solo dejaré la letra algo modificada para este escenario ideal que tengo de adora dejando a catra en el polvo por todo lo que le ha hecho pasar,no planeo traducir la letra al español porque sino sonaría muy raro.

I have been listening to songs from the Heathers musical for a long time and my favorite of all is "I Say No" since it is when Veronica recognizes that there is nothing to do with JD, she recognizes that he is not going to change and that he is not worth being around with someone who uses her as an excuse to do bad things, I just love these scenes where the characters confront their abusive partners and recognize that they deserve better.

Now lately I've been consuming She-Ra and the Princesses of Power content again and I realize that I HATE CATRAdora AND EVERYTHING THAT HAS TO DO WITH CATRA.

How does this relate to Heathers' song I Say No? Simple, this song is the perfect example of how they were able to handle Catra and Adora's "relationship" in the end, Catra is irredeemable and Adora deserved to tell her truths to her face, I will only leave the lyrics somewhat modified for this ideal scenario that I have for Adora Leaving Catra in the dust for everything she's put her through, I don't plan to translate the lyrics into Spanish because otherwise it would sound very strange.

ronnie laughed, letting her hand move to caress his cheek for a moment, thumb brushing across his cheekbone with a soft smile before she let her hand drop again, "doesn't botox make you look like you're smiling?" she asked, taking another sip of her drink, "or does that depend on how much you get?" she was no expert.

Non capisco, davvero, perché succeda, ma c'è qulcosa che porta le ragazze a vedere in sé difetti dove non ne hanno.

Questo vale per le ragazze in generale, ma è vero in particolare per le mie compagne di appartamento.

Stamattina la mia coinquilina Veronica, mentre stavamo facendo colazione, così di punto in bianco mi ha chiesto: "Davi, ma ho i piedi grassi?", e siccome assolutamente non è così, le ho spiegato che non è vero.

Oppure l'altra sera, mentre io e Violetta rientravamo insieme a casa dall'Università, e camminavamo per strada, lei a un certo punto mi ha detto "Ho le tette troppo grandi", e io a spiegarle che né io, né nessuno avrebbe mai pensato una cosa del genere, e che anzi ha un seno e un corpo molto proporzionato.

Diciamo che hanno tutte e tre questa tendenza a preoccuparsi di presunti difetti dei corpi che non non hanno, ma Violetta è quella che si mette questi problemi più di tutte, quando in realtà per lei è vero proprio il contrario, vede imperfezioni nel suo fisico dove c'è la perfezione.

Io non lo so da che cosa derivi questa cosa, forse devo imparare ancora di più a farle capire quanto non è vero.

É muito fácil falar sobre ser grato nos momentos difíceis, mas muitas vezes é difícil viver essa realidade porque “ser grato” sem motivo, não te leva a ser verdadeiramente grato.

Em Romanos 8, do versículo 3 ao 5 diz:

“Também nos alegramos ao enfrentar dificuldades e provações, pois sabemos que contribuem para desenvolvermos perseverança, e a perseverança produz caráter aprovado, e o caráter aprovado fortalece nossa esperança, e essa esperança não nos decepcionará, pois sabemos quanto Deus nos ama, uma vez que ele nos deu o Espírito Santo para nos encher o coração com seu amor.” - ‭‭Romanos‬ ‭5‬:‭3‬-‭5‬ ‭

As dificuldades e provações são difíceis de se vivenciar, mas quando passamos por elas, alegres, sabendo que ela está produzindo em nós bons frutos, ela vale a pena.

Por exemplo, a perseverança em entender que a dificuldade pode ter chego pra te impulsionar a perseverar na procura de um melhor emprego, te leva a não desistir quando você ouve mais um “não” de mais uma empresa em que você enviou currículo para.

E ao viver a dificuldade de não encontrar um emprego, mas perseverar continuando a busca, te leva a ter um caráter aprovado, porque no meio do caminho você entendeu que o “não” pode acontecer, mas você continua tentando sem passar por cima de ninguém e sem passar por cima do que você sabe que é certo.

E viver tudo isso te leva a ter esperança, de que aquele que é filho de Deus não é esquecido. Aquele que é filho de Deus é amado, e essa esperança revive em você a certeza de que Deus está cuidando de tudo, e te leva a paz de saber que O Senhor nos deu O Espírito Santo para nos encher de amor, e esse amor nos faz descansar, e então quando você descansa em Deus, Ele vem e faz a parte que você não consegue fazer. O milagre. Então você é grato no processo da dificuldade, porque você entendeu que a dificuldade veio pra produzir em você a esperança.

E porque você fez o que foi preciso em meio a dificuldade, no momento certo, você vai ter um emprego bom. E você vai saber como lidar, porque você passou por todas as etapas necessárias para chegar lá e você terá certeza de que veio do Senhor Deus, e O Nome Dele será exaltado. - Veronica Payne
