I suppose its to be expected with the sheer number of political bots on tumblr right now, but goddamn the anti-Harris crowd has been incredibly unconvincing. Whenever I try to ask for elaboration on the claims they make they either fail to understand that more claims does not amount to actual evidence or they call me lazy/stupid for not doing all the work to find evidence for their claims for them. Its like, bro, are you even trying to be persuasive? Do you even actually want me to change my mind? What reason do I have to believe you even know what you're talking about, let alone that its an opinion I should share?
"Kamala Harris is going to destroy America!!" Ok, how? What is she going to do? How is that thing going to cause damage? What kind of damage? How do you know that it will have that outcome? How do you know that she will do it? Why should I believe you?
"Kamala Harris is a communist!!" Ok, how do you know? Or better yet, what do you mean by communist? What is bad about being a communist and how has she done that? As the saying goes, "even a broken clock is right twice a day," something being present in communism/socialism does not make it inherently bad. So tell me why the things are bad. Tell me why the specific things that Kamala Harris has done are bad.
Name calling, labelling, and accusations are not going to convince me if I cannot see why the actual tangible things are actually tangibly bad. I don't believe that anything is pure evil to even be associated with, so don't tell me "she is X therefore she is bad." Tell me why her actions are bad. Tell me why the things she supports have negative impacts.
Do you understand what I am saying? Do you understand what I am asking for? Do you understand yet why y'all have failed to persuade?? Do you understand yet why I am unconvinced??? Is anyone willing to step up to the plate and give me actual reasons why I should agree with you instead of just insults and accusations!??
I'm fucking tired of being expected to believe things without evidence.

Looked at Project 2025... and oh no! It's a standard conservative platform! With gasp "Anti-Woke Language"! DUN DUN DUUUUUUUN
But seriously, this shit is nothing new, most of it is promises that Republicans have been making for a while and do nothing about, even Trump. There's nothing in this about turning Trump into a dictator with full power over the government and the people, there's no building camps for the gays, trans, and minorities, it's just the boring old normal. The blue train is fear mongering about it, the red train is fear mongering what would happen without it, but it's literally just bleh.
I'm still not voting and this hasn't convinced me of some necessity to do so. I'd rather continue on with counter-economic means than to touch the partyarchy.

Will foreigners be able to choose our next president? As it turns out, yes, maybe even legally. Catherine Engelbrecht has discovered a federal law you may not have heard of.

Many people wrongly assume that elections are about convincing people
Convincing a large population of people is very difficult, very major events need to happen for it to happen
Elections are about which people care. Politicians will try to get their side to vote more and the other side to vote less
This is in ads, propaganda, and laws, that will make one side more able/wanting to vote then the other, and such will it win
In America this is extremely true, because the largest block of people isn't republicans or democrats, it's "didn't go to vote"
Vote in 24. I don't understand anything about your politics, I shouldn't give you advice. All I will give you is gut instinct. But to the people following me, I believe that your opinion is the one which will get us to a better future
The revolution will not happen. I know Lincoln once said "Whenever they (the people) shall grow weary of the existing Government, they can exercise their constitutional right of amending it, or their revolutionary right to dismember or overthrow it", but if anyone thinks that the people will win against the greatest empire of all time, they are wildly mistaken. But you have the right to dismantle and overthrow your government, you also have the right to ammend it. USE IT
