I’ve seen some misinformation going around, so to preempt that: here is the entire UNOCHA infographic released on May 8 2024.
Some people have zoomed in on the “24,000 identified” bit to suggest the death toll has gone down. Anybody still remotely sane and living on earth knows that even 35,000 is a vast undercount, but a UN spokesperson did later clarify:

For 9 months the situation in Sudan has only been getting worse. The war on the capitol khartoum continues to spread and extend to other majors cities such as madani.
The RSF loots, kills and abuses in cities and states nearby khartoum. Keep eyes on sudan, keep eyes on khartoum, madani, sinnar and keep eyes on darfur and the atrocities preformed on the ethnic tribes of darfur.
Keep eyes on Sudan and the fragile healthcare system that extends through ALL the cities of sudan, and the people duing for lack of facilites and lack of medication.
Please help Sudan.

Ensure that aid can be delivered, lives can be saved, and hope can prevail—even in the darkest of times.
This World Humanitarian Day 2024 dedication ensures that aid can be delivered, lives can be saved, and hope can prevail—even in the darkest of times, where the normalization of violence and impunity threatens to undermine the very fabric of humanitarian work.

Shelters seeing significant increase in infectious diseases: UN
About 316 people were killed, and another 664 injured, by Israeli bombardments in the 24 hours between the afternoon of December 2 to afternoon of December 3, according to Gaza’s Ministry of Health.
Aid trucks carrying humanitarian supplies entered from Egypt on December 3, though their number and contents were unclear, the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) also reports in its latest situation assessment.
According to the latest UNOCHA report:
UN shelters in southern Gaza have seen significant increase in communicable diseases such as diarrhoea, acute respiratory infections, skin infections and lice due to overcrowding.
Hospital bed capacity across Gaza is down from 3,500 prior to the hostilities to 1,400, amid a surge in people seeking treatment.
Only one currently functioning hospital in Gaza has the capacity to perform complex surgery or treat critical trauma cases.

You know, I thought I'd say something snarky about people not paying attention to the biggest humanitarian crisis in the world, with thousands dead due to constant shelling and sniper fire and starving children, with talks of by-the-book genocide on the horizon, but instead, I'm going to just post links to
Amnesty International: https://www.amnesty.org/en/location/africa/east-africa-the-horn-and-great-lakes/sudan/
the UNOCHA report: https://reports.unocha.org/en/country/sudan/
and the ACAPS assessments: https://www.acaps.org/en/countries/sudan
And then if you want to help, here's the links for MSF / Doctors Without Borders

July 25 (UPI) -- The United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs on Thursday said Wednesday that the death toll from southern Ethiopian landslides was rising and expected to reach up to 500.
The death toll rose to 257 as of Wednesday, up from 157 reported the day prior, with at least 125 people displaced and sheltering with host communities and more than 15,515 affected people still needing to be evacuated and the government is finalizing an evacuation plan.
"These people are at high risk of further landslides and need to be evacuated to safe zones immediately," UNOCHA's statement said. "Amongst these are at least 1,320 children under 5 years of age and 5,293 pregnant and lactating women. The Federal Government, in collaboration with regional and zonal authorities is finalizing an evacuation plan."
trying to rescue people from the initial catastrophe.trapped thoseHeavy rains in the mountainous Gofa zone triggered the landslides Sunday night, followed by more landslides Monday morning that
Gofa is a remote area and the landslides came after earlier heavy seasonal rains in April and May. That caused floods, displacing over a thousand people as infrastructure was damaged.
The Ethiopian Red Cross is working to bring supplies in and an inter-agency humanitarian assessment team arrived in the affected area.
Search and rescue operations are ongoing with community members "mainly digging through mounds of mud with their bare hands and spades for lack of other options," according to UNOCHA.

Since you’re a Big blog, it would do wonders if you posted some ways to help the Palestinian people currently in Gaza. Do you have any recommendations (charities/links etc)?
Being Tumblr famous doesn't make me knowledgeable about humanitarian aid.
UNOCHA (United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs) is probably a good place to donate.
#I'm generally wary of telling people to spend money#because I have ended up unintentionally promoting scams in the past

Those who are not killed by Israeli bombardment are at significant risk of dying from disease, malnutrition, and starvation amid the displacement of the majority of Gaza’s population. According to UNOCHA, nearly 85% of people in Gaza have begun 2024 in a state of displacement. To make matters worse, UNOCHA added that most of those displaced in Gaza are “squeezed into extremely overcrowded spaces” and that “the spread of diseases has intensified, putting a strain on an already overwhelmed health system that is struggling to meet immense needs.” The UNICEF Chief Catherine [Russell] has warned that as the attacks continue to escalate with no ceasefire in sight, Palestinian children are running out of time. “As the threat of famine intensifies, hundreds of thousands more young children could soon be severely malnourished, with some at risk of death,” she said. UNRWA chief Philippe Lazzarini has said that three months of the war in Gaza have led to “mass displacement, mass human losses and injuries, and mass destruction.” “Unbearable suffering made worse by constant dehumanization and promotion of hate speech going unchecked,” he continued on X.

During the presidency of Barack Obama, the United States began providing Saudi Arabia with critical support to "sustain" the Saudi Arabian–led intervention in the Yemeni Civil War,[1] later expanded during the presidency of Donald Trump.[2] This support included logistical and intelligence aid. Trump vetoed a bipartisan bill in 2019 aimed at stopping U.S. support for the Saudi-led coalition in Yemen. In 2021, Joe Biden vowed to halt U.S. support for the war, though U.S. arms sales to the coalition have continued.[3][4] From 2015 to 2019, Saudi Arabia was reportedly the largest importer of U.S. arms.[2]
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Yemen#Politics
In March 2020, the Trump administration and key US allies, including Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, cut off tens of millions of dollars for health care programs and other aid to the United Nations' appeal for Yemen. As a result of funding cuts, the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA) stated that the UN agencies were forced to either close or reduce more than 75 per cent of its programs that year alone, affecting more than 8 million people. Saudi Arabia had been leading a Western-backed military coalition, including the United Arab Emirates as a key member, which intervened in Yemen in 2015, in a bid to restore the government ousted from power by the Houthi movement. The United Nations described the situation in Yemen, where the war killed tens of thousands of people and left millions on the brink of famine, as the world's worst humanitarian crisis.[301]
