I think the funny thing about your posts that have weirdly specific examples is that every time, people in the notes are like "which one specific thing are you talking about" and you pretty much always say "no I'm vagueing like ten different things right now", no matter how esoteric your example was.

You're like the Doofenschmirtz "two nickels" meme except instead of "it's weird that it's happened twice", it's "... I only have one nickel. Okay, where's the second one, I know it's around here somewhere!"

In my defence, I always do have multiple specific examples in mind. A lot of media just has weirdly specific recurring tropes.

I kinda love that you've written *two* TV shows now where a significant character is a fallen angel played by a tall, thin, extremely talented Scotsman who's also played the Doctor -- ineffably delightful coincidence <3 (The Neverwhere DVD's on my Christmas list!)

I will not rest until I have made all of the tall thin Scottish actors who have played or will play Doctor Who into Fallen Angels.

Accidental kidnapping x Two Nickels

YJ, with their newest member Wraith, found a new type of Blood Blossom hybrid that scientists named Blood Lily. It apparently sent their newest member into an instinctual state that, according to Tim’s best guess, made it so they were in a constant paranoia, and could only see two types of people; family, and enemies.

Which meant the entire Young Justice got bundled up in blankets and had to watch their friend create a nest, growl at the Justice League members who tried to come to help, and try to give lots of food and pretty rocks to a blushing SuperBoy, who was wrapped in more blankets and the rest of them and had their teammate worriedly nuzzle him whenever he tried to stand. (Thankfully, the rest of the team were allowed to move, but if they started to try to leave, Wraith would go feral and make them all Blanket burritos again. After the third time this happened, they all decided it was better not to try to leave yet.)

Meanwhile, the justice league now had to deal with a hyped up, overly protective and drugged with something none of them could identify Wraith who point blank refused to allow any of them close enough to talk to the rest of Young Justice and tried to bite Superman whenever he was in the vicinity.

If I had a nickel for every time David Tennant uttered the word “Celestial” in a completely over the top borderline slutty manner to an attractive blonde…then I’d have two nickels, which isn’t a lot, but weird that it’s happened twice.

Wow what a compelling story about relationships and identity! Plus I love the big cast of memorable and distinct characters. I swear, everyone feels like they have their own narrative voice and unique personality, with some incredibly entertaining dialogues and banter between them to boot. And the fact it's very, very gay definitely helps. I wonder what the author was up to before writing this...

Sketches for DP x DC ideas that I have (click for clarity)

1) Duke’s been seeing Danny around Gotham for a little while, and he’s always thought that he looked like a miniature star. For the first time, he meets Danny in person and is surprised to see just how cute he is up close.

2) Jason introduces his girlfriend to the family and now they’re trying to figure out why she’s so adaptable and seemingly used to their craziness. In reality, she has a bunch of crazy siblings too….

3) Danny is a creature of the pit. The moment Damian tamed him within the League of Assassins, Danny had stuck to his side and protected him. Unfortunately, none of the Batfamily know about his existence…

4) Jazz saves an injured bird and it’s been with her for quite some time. She’s very fond of it. Now if only Jason could somehow turn back into a human and come back to Gotham to see his dad and maybe ask Jazz Fenton on a date.

5) Danny, weakened and shrunk, tags along with Batman in order to save his strength, knowing that just his presence would be protection. Batman is oblivious to his little passenger. Everyone else is wondering if they’re imagining the Tinker Bell wannabe on his head.

6) Batman expects Danny to fight a Poison Ivy-esque villain, but instead, Danny and his hacker friend seem to be encouraging her??

7) Conner falls in love with an affectionate half-ghost who has more in common with him than he thinks.

8) Stephanie meets a cute boy as her civilian self. Score! Now if only she could figure out why he kind of has a lot of similarities to a certain vigilante she knows…
