#Tyto reads WoF #what do I even say to this #Turtle....... honey.......................#...honestly how many layers of quiet trauma can be piled onto a single backstory #listen I was thinking earlier about how this series arguably does a lot of ''telling'' and not ''showing'' sometimes with this kind of thing #because how else are they supposed to get so much information across when there are SO MANY characters in focus at any given time #but it just WORKS for this style of storytelling because of gut-punch moments like these #if we had seen this incident with the seagull egg play out in a drawn out flashback of Turtle's childhood and then #slowly seen the guilt emerge over time?#it would have had a totally different effect to realizing suddenly. retroactively. that this is why he's always keeping himself so distant #he simultaneously fears being noticed AND fears being isolated. it's a catch-22. he can't win.#so he tries his best to lurk on the outskirts of the group. to be ordinary and uninteresting and not disliked but not really LIKED either #good grief I want to examine him like a bug under a microscope

This is the Who Rescued Who AU!!!

This is Honey! She is Future Leo’s PTSD dog!

She loves her papa and cheese.

She is an English Bull Terrier and she is a cuddle bug!

Leonardo was sent back in time, and the present boys found him and took him in. Now he’s not fighting Krang he realised how much his body hurt and has knee problems. Also, he has bad PTSD and night terrors. And with Casey not needing Leonardo to look after him anymore, Leonardo feels useless. The boys and Casey noticed and pulled some strings to get him a service dog. At first, Leo didn’t want her or think he needed her. But over time, he came to accept and love her.

HAPPY MUTATION DAY BEA!!!

With how often his portals screwed up in the beginning, there’s absolutely no way Leo didn’t end up in multiple scenarios where he was trapped in random places chasing after his odachi as it gets separated from him, causing him to have to chase after it as it somehow evades his grasp in increasingly comedic yet unlucky ways.
