AT LEAST 7 DEAD FOLLOWING THE WITHDRAWAL OF ZIONIST FORCES FROM NOUR AL-SHAMS CAMP IN WEST BANK

At least 7 Palestinians are dead, and dozens of others wounded in the Nour al-Shams Refugee Camp, outside Tulkarm City, in the occupied West Bank, following the withdrawal of the Israeli occupation forces (IOF) from the camp.

Occupation forces besieged the camp beginning on Thursday evening, later storming the area, blocking vehicles and people from entering or exiting the camp, posting snipers on rooftops, and bringing in two D9 armored bulldozers which immediately went to work tearing up streets, damaging infrastructure and destroying several Palestinian homes and facilities. At least one claim of a missile being fired into a residential home was reported as well.

According to local reporting, five young Palestinian men were discovered martyred following the raid, while two others were also killed yesterday, including a 15-year-old boy named Qais Fathi Nasrallah.

Reports by the Palestinian Red Crescent Society (PRCS) put the death toll far higher from the raids, reporting the transfer of a total of 14 martyrs to nearby Thabet Thabet Government Hospital in Tulkarm City, as well as al-Israa Specialized Hospital. IOF soldiers blocked ambulance crews from accessing Nour al-Shams for at least a day, and also detained two PRCS personnel at the Thabet Thabet Hospital while performing their duties.

During the raid, occupation forces repeatedly opened gunfire towards Palestinian civilians, facilities and homes, reportedly also targeting the camp's bakery and several commercial buildings. At one point, Zionist forces even opened gunfire on PRCS ambulance crews as well.

The raid is being described in the Palestinian media as "the most violent and worst in years."

The Israeli occupation forces tonight blew up the family home of slain Palestinian Sanad Ghannam in the Nur Shams refugee camp, in the city of Tulkarem, in the northern occupied West Bank, said WAFA correspondent. Forces also destroyed several homes and private and public facilities in and around the said camp. Forces blew up the house after forcing all members of the Ghannam family to leave. The slain Palestinian was killed by the Israeli forces in 2005 and the house was destroyed several times by the occupation during the past years. They also shelled a site in Jabal Al-Nasr area of Nur-Shams camp, where a huge explosion that shook the camp and the city was heard, followed by heavy smoke seen coming from the targeted location. According to eyewitnesses, the explosion was caused by a missile fired by a drone, concurrently with a series of consecutive explosions targeting several citizens' properties across the camp, which caused fire to break out. The occupation forces also used machinery to break down the doors of houses and shops along the street at the entrance of the camp, where they wreaked havoc and tampered with their contents. The majority of residents’ houses in the camp were raided and vandalized and their owners were detained and subjected to field interrogation. Dozens of houses in the camp were turned into military outposts and snipers were deployed on the rooftops of the highest buildings in the camp after forcing their inhabitants to leave the camp. Forces also broke into the Abu Bakr al-Siddiq Mosque, took over its rooftop and turned it into a military observation post. The army reportedly intensified tonight its military reinforcements in the camp, which has been under continuous aggression and tight siege for 19 consecutive hours. A curfew has also been imposed on the residents since the start of the military offensive against the camp. Forces also stormed the neighboring Tulkarm camp, where Israeli bulldozers destroyed the streets, infrastructure, shops, vehicles, and the property of citizens across its various neighborhoods, amid a strict siege, which led to the outbreak of violent confrontations. Israeli military tanks and vehicles were also deployed throughout the city and Nur Shams camp. According to eyewitnesses, the occupation forces raided and searched the Cultural Club in the city. Forces reportedly stopped residents' vehicles and citizens, including minors, and subjected them to field interrogations and body searches.

A statement from the Palestinian Prisoners Club says more than 4,655 people have been arrested in the occupied West Bank by Israeli forces since October 7. Israeli forces storm cities, towns and refugee camps in the West Bank on a daily basis. Earlier, [Al Jazeera] reported on an ongoing raid on the city of Ramallah, in which multiple Palestinians have been injured and one arrested.

From last night until Thursday morning, the Israeli occupation forces arrested at least (25) citizens from the West Bank, including children, and the arrest operations were concentrated in: Bethlehem Governorate, while the rest were distributed Arrests in the governorates of: Tulkarm, Hebron, Ramallah, Nablus, and Jerusalem. The arrest campaign was accompanied by widespread harassment, severe beatings, and threats against detainees and their families, in addition to widespread sabotage and destruction of citizens�� homes, and intimidation and threats that reached the point of direct shooting threats.  Thus, the total number of arrests after the seventh of last October rose to more than (4,655), and this total includes those who were arrested from homes, through military checkpoints, those who were forced to surrender themselves under pressure, and those who were held hostage.
