Opinion: Kamala Harris is not for Israel or the Jews; Trump was
Kamala Harris (and Joe Biden, pretty much consigned to total irrelevancy by now thanks to the [un]Democratic coup) can say whatever she likes about supporting Israel (and she does spare half a breath to say she'll, OF COURSE, always support Israel's right to defend herself! ... and then spends the rest of the paragraph on verbally stabbing Israel in the back, talking about "how [Israel] defends itself matters", ceasefires, making deals with Hamas, engaging with the Palestinians, stopping Palestinian casualties, etc., which is telling in itself and just lends even more weight to the endless anti-Israel propaganda out there). But I go by actions, not words. They can say anything they want; they can go to Holocaust memorials or condemn antisemitism as much as they please. Words cost very little, and placate the overwhelmingly pro-Israel American population (while still, of course, inciting more blood libel and adding weight to the propaganda). But I don't see Harris or Biden ever, ever coming in decisively on Israel's side where it genuinely counts, when they didn't absolutely have to. Kamala Harris/Joe Biden Actions:
Did not tell a pro-Hamas, anti-Israel group that she wouldn't talk with them. This is a generous recounting of events, actually; it looks more like she said "sure, I'll talk with you about enacting an arms embargo with Israel". Once the backlash about that started happening, an anonymous aid seems to have taken it on themself to say "of course VP Harris has always been very clear about supporting Israel". (No, she hasn't.) (It's pretty telling that Harris, so far as I am aware, hasn't seen fit to even bother to clarify that herself.)

In contrast, we have Donald Trump. Trump has been continually vocal in his support of Israel. There is no double-speak like Harris that I've been able to find. His term was full of unprecedented, active support for Israel and the Jews. Media claims he "criticized" the war in Gaza -- but when I actually look, all I see is that he criticized the fact that Oct 7th could have happened in the first place (i.e., Israel was not protected enough and did not receive enough support from the Biden administration) and that the war was still going on due to Israel's unprecedented kid gloves-care with Palestinian civilian casualties. He advised Israel to mind their "PR war", saying "victory is necessary" and needs to happen quickly. Not "ceasefire", not "compromise", not "dealing with Hamas". Not -- in contrast to Harris and Biden -- wailing "oh no, it's Israel's job to think of the enemy's civilians and to prioritize their wellbeing above their own civilians!" It's my belief, based on what I see and hear, that Trump wants victory and peace for Israel over Hamas. He wants October 7th to never happen again. https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/donald-trump/trump-israel-gaza-finish-problem-rcna141905 Trump Actions, taken usually without any conditions or concessions required from Israel Abraham Accords, specifically meant to pressure Palestinians (no Oct. 7th massacre while Trump was in office. But that's enough for me, at least. I'd invite anyone interested to check it out for themselves, but not to be fooled by the rampant corruption, spin, and bias in most mainstream media (although you'll notice I can still utilize them as sources even though they're blatantly hostile to my viewpoint).

ā•ļø Press Release Issued by the Government Media Office:
ā• The "Israeli" occupation and the U.S. administration are explicitly using starvation and food deprivation policies against civilians in Gaza as a means of political pressure. This is considered a war crime and a crime against humanity
The Government Media Office condemns the use of starvation and food deprivation by the "Israeli" occupation forces and the U.S. administration against civilians, including children and women in Gaza, as a political pressure tool. This was explicitly stated by U.S. President Biden and his Secretary of State, Blinken, who mentioned in recent hours that the quickest way to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza is to reach a ceasefire agreement.
We completely reject linking the provision of aid and food to civilians, children, and women to the decision of a ceasefire, which the "Israeli" occupation forces have refused to implement for many months. We consider linking these two issues a blatant crime that requires condemnation from the international community, international organizations, and all free nations.
For 105 days, the "Israeli" occupation forces, with U.S. approval, have continued to close the Rafah border crossing between Palestine and Egypt after burning, bulldozing, and rendering it inoperative. This is part of orchestrating a genocide against civilians in Gaza, exacerbating the humanitarian disaster in unprecedented ways, in violation of international law, international humanitarian law, and all international agreements.
The crime of blocking the entry of all types of aid, medical supplies, health delegations, and medicine significantly worsens the health and humanitarian crisis.
We strongly condemn the use of starvation and food deprivation by the "Israeli" occupation and the U.S. administration as a political pressure tool against civilians and children in Gaza. We also condemn their closure of the Rafah border crossing between Palestine and Egypt. We call on the international community and all nations to denounce these two crimes that violate international law.
We hold the "Israeli" occupation and the U.S. administration fully responsible for the catastrophic consequences of their use of starvation and food deprivation as weapons against civilians in Gaza, as well as their closure of the Rafah crossing and prevention of medical supplies and health delegations from entering. We hold them accountable for the ongoing humanitarian disaster, now in its eleventh month.
We call on the international community, all international and humanitarian organizations, and all free nations to pressure the "Israeli" occupation and the U.S. administration to stop the genocide and cease using starvation and food deprivation as political pressure tools. We also demand that they pressure for the reopening of the Rafah border crossing and an end to this severe humanitarian catastrophe.

VoteBlues love to say "Trump would be worse," but they'll never specify how.
Because getting specific would require them to acknowledge the ways the Biden administration has been supporting and participating in this genocide all along, and they don't want to face that.
Like I said: whoever the dems prop up will be aggressively and proudly pro genocide. Don't forget this just because it isn't biden. The democratic party line is pro genocide.

What makes you react to what's happening in Gaza? and What makes you care about human lives? Is it empathy, ideology, culture, religion, knowledge, or something else that compels you to feel and act?
What would push your government to stop saying, "Israel has the right to defend itself"? What would make columnists stop focusing on self defense and what the demonstrators or students are doing "wrong" and instead use their platform to pressure their government to do what's "right" to stop this ongoing genocide? When did you start caring, and when will you start acting?
Is it when you have Palestinian friends?
When Palestinian children begged for food, safety, and water?
When over 45000 Palestinians had been killed & 98000 injured ?
When left-wing political parties around the world started criticizing Israel?
When Palestinian and Israeli human rights organizations sounded the alarm for years?
When protesters took to the streets every week? Do you still hear their voices?
When human rights organizations like Amnesty International or Human Rights Watch documented the atrocities? Was 60 years of human rights violations not enough?
When journalism associations worldwide recorded an unprecedented number of journalists killed in such a short period?
When UN agencies like the World Food Program or UNRWA reported on the humanitarian disaster and worsening famine?
When aid organizations like Doctors Without Borders or the Red Cross warned of the total collapse of healthcare?
When child rights organizations like Save the Children or UNICEF constantly reported on childrenā€™s acute physical and mental health crises?
When Jewish groups like Jewish Voice for Peace declared, "Not in my name"?
When the International Criminal Court in The Hague found strong evidence of crimes against humanity and began prosecuting high-ranking officials? Are you waiting for the court to tell you act?
When your children were upset after hearing what was happening in Gaza? Did that stir your parental instincts?
When the EU's foreign policy chief, Josep Borrell, repeatedly urged Israel to stop the killings?
When your favorite artist spoke outā€”did that make you reflect?
When students protested at universities around the world? Does the passion of young people give you hope?
When the Pope made a statement about the situation?
When military experts reported how many bombs Israel had dropped on Gaza?
When 2.5 million people were displaced under bombardment, with nowhere to escape in Gazaā€”a place already called the worldā€™s largest open-air prison even before October 7?
When your employer gave you permission to speak out?
Are you waiting for Joe Biden to say the red line has been crossed and stop sending weapons?
Or are you waiting for Donald Trump to say the magic words: "Enough is enough"?
Or for Benjamin Netanyahu to say "Oh sorry that was a mistake"?
Or are you waiting for God Almighty to come down and say, "Enough is enough"?
Or for the most extreme elements in the Israeli government to say, "Now we can stop bombing"ā€”but will there be any Palestinians left in Gaza by then?
Or will you stop waiting and act now, driven by empathy, knowledge, and solidarity with people who are being oppressed right in fornt or your eyes?
Iā€™ve lost over 200 family members, friends, and neighbors in this genocide. I have 24 of my familyā€™s members and 2 orphaned children, trapped in a makeshift tent and struggling to survive in this freezing winter in Gaza. Is that not enough to move you to act? Tell me then when ?ā€”when will your humanity compel you to step in? Please, act now and donate!

The Grayzone has obtained slides from a confidential Israel lobby presentation based on data from Republican pollster Frank Luntz. They contain talking points for politicians and public figures seeking to justify Israelā€™s assault on the Gaza Strip. Two prominent pro-Israel lobby groups are holding private briefings in New York City to coach elected officials and well-known figures on how to influence public opinion in favor of the Israeli militaryā€™s rampage in Gaza, The Grayzone can reveal. These PR sessions, convened by the UJA-Federation and Jewish Community Relations Council, rely on data collected by Frank Luntz, a veteran Republican pollster and pundit. [...] The Luntz-tested presentations on the war in Gaza urge politicians to avoid trumpeting Americaā€™s supposedly shared democratic values with Israel, and focus instead on deploying ā€œThe Language of War with Hamas.ā€ According to this framing, they must deploy incendiary language painting Hamas as a ā€œbrutal and savageā€¦organization of hateā€ which has ā€œraped women,ā€ while insisting Israel is engaged in ā€œa war for humanity.ā€ [...] Luntzā€™s Gaza war presentation puts his poll-tested tactics back in the Israel lobbyā€™s hands, urging pro-Israel public figures to stay on the attack with incendiary language and shocking allegations against their enemies. In one focus group, Luntz asked participants to state which alleged act by Hamas on October 7 ā€œbothers you more.ā€ After being presented with a laundry list of alleged atrocities, a majority declared that they were most upset by the claim that Hamas ā€œraped civiliansā€ ā€“ 19 percent more than those who expressed outrage that Hamas supposedly ā€œexterminated civilians.ā€ Data like this apparently influenced the Israeli government to launch an obsessive but still unsuccessful campaign to prove that Hamas carried out sexual assault on a systematic basis on October 7. Initiated at Israelā€™s United Nations mission in December 2023 with speeches by neoliberal tech oligarch Sheryl Sandberg and former US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, a recipient of hundreds of thousands of dollars in donations and speaking fees from Israel lobby organizations, Tel Avivā€™s propaganda blitz has yet to produce a single self-identified victim of sexual assault by Hamas. A March 5 report by UN Special Representative on Sexual Violence Pramila Patten did not contain one direct testimony of sexual assault on October 7. Whatā€™s more, Pattenā€™s team said they found ā€œno digital evidence specifically depicting acts of sexual violence.ā€
They also advice to use different language for Democrat and Republican voters, which inadvertently provides one of the most succinct explanation of the difference between the two genocidal parties that I've ever come across:
To make their arguments stick, Luntz recommends pro-Israel forces avoid the exterminationist language favored by Israeli officials who have called, for example, to ā€œeraseā€ the population of Gaza, and to instead advocate for ā€œan efficient, effective approachā€ to eliminating Hamas. At the same time, veteran pollster acknowledges that Republican voters prefer phrases which imply maximalist violence, like ā€œeradicateā€ and ā€œobliterate,ā€ while sanitized terms like ā€œneutralizeā€ appeal more to Democrats. Republican presidential candidates Nikki Haley and Donald Trump have showcased similar focus-grouped rhetoric with their calls to ā€œfinish themā€ and ā€œfinish the problemā€ in Gaza.
One of the slides, illustrating what language to use:
Tumblr media
There are several more slides in the article. I recommend reading the whole thing, start to finish. One more thing I'd like to highlight though:
Tumblr media
Luntz acknowledges Israelā€™s mounting PR problems in a slide identifying the most powerful tactics employed by Palestine solidarity activists. ā€œIsraelis attacking Israel is the second most potent weapon against Israel,ā€ the visual display reads beside a photo of a protest by Jewish Voices for Peace, a US-based Jewish organization dedicated to ending Israelā€™s occupation of Palestine. ā€œThe most potentā€ tactic in mobilizing opposition to Israelā€™s assault on Gaza, according to Luntz, ā€œis the visual destruction of Gaza and the human toll.ā€ The slide inadvertently acknowledges the cruelty of Israelā€™s bombardment of Gaza, displaying a bombed out apartment building with clearly anguished women and children fleeing in the foreground. But Luntz assures his audience, ā€œIt ā€˜looks like a genocideā€™ even though the damage has nothing to do with the definition.ā€ According to this logic, the American public can become more tolerant of copiously documented crimes against humanity if they are simply told not to believe their lying eyes.

Why Trump Is Partnering With Christian Nationalists
Donald Trump is portraying himself as a religious savior. He says Election Day will be:Ā ā€¦ā€the most important day in the history of our country, and itā€™s going to be Christian Visibility Day.ā€
Trump has repeatedly compared his criminal trials to the crucifixion of Jesus, promoted videos calling his reelection ā€œthe most important moment in human history,ā€ and that describe him as a divinely appointed ruler.
He claims to be a holy warrior against an imaginary attack on Christianity.
TRUMP: They want to tear down crosses//But no one will be touching the cross of Christ under the Trump administration. I swear to you.
Heā€™s even selling his own version of the Bible.
Trump is playing to a rising white Christian Nationalist movement within the Republican Party.
Christian Nationalists believe that the law of the land is not the Constitution, but instead the law of God as they interpret it. Under this view, atheists and people of other faiths (including Christians of other denominations) are all second-class citizens.
Trumpā€™s supporters are increasingly overt in their calls to replace democracy with a MAGA theocracy.
The idea that the will of voters is irrelevant because God has anointed Trump was a recurring message in the efforts to overturn the 2020 election.
In previous videos, Iā€™ve highlighted how MAGA Republicans have embraced core elements of fascism. They reject democracy, stoke fear of immigrants and minorities, embrace a gender and ethnic hierarchy, and look to a strongman to lead and defend them.
The combination of fascism and Christian Nationalism is called Christofascism, a term first used half a century ago by the theologian Dorothee Sƶlle. Fascists rise to power by characterizing their opponents as subhuman. Christofascists take it a step further by casting opponents as not just subhuman, but actually demonic.
Framing opponents as enemies of God makes violence against them not only seem justifiable, but divinely sanctioned, and almost inevitable.
Christofascists want to strip away a wide range of rights Americans take for granted. Former Trump staffers involved in developing plans for a second Trump term have called for imposing ā€œBiblicalā€ tests on immigration, overturning marriage equality, and restricting contraception. Ā
And MAGA-aligned judges are already setting their dogma ahead of the Constitution. In his concurring opinion on the case that declared frozen embryos are people, Alabama Supreme Court Justice Tom Parker cited God more than forty times and quoted the Book of Genesis and other religious texts.
Nothing could be more un-American than the Christian Nationalist vision. So many of Americaā€™s founders came here as refugees seeking religious freedom. The framers of the Constitution were adamant that religion had no role in our government. The words ā€œGod,ā€ ā€œJesus,ā€ and ā€œChrist,ā€ donā€™t appear anywhere in the Constitution. And the very first words of the Bill of Rights are a promise that ā€œCongress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof.ā€
Christofascism, or any religion-based form of government, is a rejection of everything America has aspired to be ā€” a secular, multi-racial society whose inhabitants have come from everywhere, bound together by a faith in equal opportunity, democracy, and the rule of law.
Beware.

I am a little concerned that people aren't actually going on the candidates websites and reading their issues pages. Trump has branded his as "Agenda 47" and effectively lays out 47 key issues he wants to address during his presidency. It looks quite awful for the Palestinians and muslims living in the United States currently. It also looks like he's going to crack down on protests and make it harder to organize in support of Palestine.
Here are some pieces I took from his plan that should concern anyone supporting Palestine right now:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Biden banning Tiktok was a direct attack on our freedom of speech and ability to share information about Palestine. However, Trump is promising to bring back his muslim travel ban (which would succeed under his conservative Supreme Court). He will make it just about impossible for any refugees to get into America. It's already difficult for refugees to gain entry, but this is just opening the door to dangerous rhetoric.
American imperialism cannot be fixed in one presidency. That $95 billion foreign aid package that included $26 billion to support Israel was passed by Congress, with support from democrats. Biden signed it, but that's not something he can do by himself. If we want real meaningful change, we're going to have to vote for a whole lot more than just the president. Campaigning for third parties is going to have to maintain its momentum outside of election years.
Still, both candidates are supporting this war currently. They are both piss poor choices for a ceasefire. However, they are NOT equal! A Trump win could be devastating, not just for the Palestinians still struggling in the Middle East, but for the Palestinians living at home now. With the courts behind him, Chevron overturned, and a clear plan for Schedule F in place, I cannot seriously humor anyone saying that a Harris would be "just as bad" for Palestine.

Trump supports peace.
Turn off your tv and youā€™ll realize that
You know that's not true because if you actually thought it was true you would've provided an example, but you can't provide even one.
Donald Trump is a violent fascist who among many other other crimes has:
Incited and praised a violent terrorist attack on the US government (x x x)
Tried to have his own vice president killed as part of an effort to violently seize power by force (x)
Called for the US military to kill American citizens he doesn't like (x)
Raped women and given his relationship with pedophile Epstein probably children as well (x x x x)
Expressed admiration for Hitler on numerous occasions (x x)
Called Netanyahu to urge him to not do a ceasefire and to keep bombing (x)
Worked with and praised sadistic dictators like Putin and Kim Jong-Un (x)
Said we should return to the way things were in the 1790s when slavery was legal (x)
Incited violence against immigrants (x)
Encouraged police brutality (x)
Praised and pardoned war criminals (x)
Incited violence against the press (x)
Incited violence constantly and systematically against innumerable targets (x)
Trump is the definition of violence. And you know it.
You aren't a victim of Trump's propaganda. You're a perpetrator. You're trying to use this blog as a platform to spread lies in the hope of supporting Fascism.
But it won't work. We're not going back.
We are going to use our power - our voice and our votes - to spread the truth and to get out there on election day and kick the fascist GOP out of power for good.

I've never been more heartbroken in my life.
I was gobsmacked in 2016, don't get me wrong. I was devastated and frightened and shaken beyond words. I even had to go behind a wall and collect myself at one point that horrible November 9th, 2016, after colliding with a man wearing a red MAGA hat at work. A good chunk of us at work talked amongst ourselves about it, offering each other comfort.
But this? This is different. I could imagine dumb people making excuses for voting for Trump in 2016 -- saying that they thought a businessman would be good for the economy, saying that they wanted someone who wasn't a "Washington insider" like Hilary Clinton. Sure, it was stupid, but people can be stupid. Quite frankly, a lot of people are stupid, in this country and otherwise.
But now? Anyone who voted for Trump now has voted for a man who not only rounded up immigrants and put them in concentration camps separated from their families; bungled the response to COVID-19 so badly that the American death toll easily surpassed every other country on Earth; has poisoned the Supreme Court to the extent that they overturned years of precedence with Roe V. Wade and has basically given Trump cart-blanche to do whatever he wants while he's president; was the first president in history to refuse to concede on election day; was impeached for crimes in office not once but TWICE; was instrumental to and passionately supportive of the full-on attempted coup at the U.S. capitol on January 6, 2021 that could've very easily resulted in the deaths of his own Vice President and multiple members of Congress; has spoken glowingly of despots like Vladimir Putin and Kim Jong Un and even said he will be "a dictator on day one" if elected again; has both used slogans originally used by modern American Neo-Nazis ("America First") and purportedly told one of his ex-subordinates that he wanted generals like Adolf Hitler's...but also has by the day proven more and more just how mentally inept, vindictive, and mean-spirited he truly is.
And unlike in his previous races, Trump is ahead in the popular vote too. We can't just blame this on the electoral college being antiquated and gerrymandered AF like in the Trump-Clinton or Bush-Gore elections. Even if all of the third-party voters in this country had grown a bloody brain cell and voted for Harris so as to show solidarity against Trump and his form of American fascism, it still somehow wouldn't be enough. We could potentially blame this on lower voter turn-out -- according to what I'm seeing so far, even with all the votes not counted in this race yet, it looks like there were far less votes cast this election than in the last one, though likely still more than the 2016 race. But even so, I don't think that's the only problem. I truly think there were just a lot of people who turned out en-masse to vote for Trump. And all I can think in regards to those people is...
This is beyond stupidity or even selfishness. This is cruelty. This is large swaths of people deciding that they want fellow American citizens to suffer -- because in their minds, if those people suffer, that'll somehow make them happy. This is a large chunk of America saying, "yeah, you know all that crap about 'liberty and justice for all'? Screw that, I want a 'strong man' to bully people different from me for my own amusement." And -- perhaps -- there's also an element of feeling like their vote doesn't really have any consequences for them, so why should they care if the man they voted for is a god-awful person? It's not like that man will hurt them.
I had hoped. I had hoped, seeing the outpouring of support from liberals, independents, and conservatives for Harris/Walz. I'd hoped, seeing how many ex-Trump appointees were standing up against him, how much people were shouting their disdain for Project 2025 from the rooftops, and how many women were protesting in the face of Roe V. Wade being overturned. I truly had started to hope that America would prove we'd grown beyond our country's own original sin -- how our United States preached freedom for all while still being built on the backs of slaves and refusing to grant a vote to over half their population -- by electing a smart, successful, charismatic woman of color who sees our country as great in potential and wants us to pursue that potential as our first female president, rather than backtracking all the slow progress we've made over the last 200+ years.
But now...my hope has faded. My heart is in pieces and the world is so dark. I hardly know how I'll function at work tomorrow, even if I know somehow, I have to try. We'll all have to stand somehow. Somehow, someway...we'll have to find the strength. We'll have to stand, and we'll have to keep moving forward, even when it feels like we're a Little Mermaid walking on knives.
We'll have to stand.

They know Trump is the candidate who can tear down the American dream and build the kind of America they desire ā€” a nation where children can be raised in a culture of racism, fascism, and misogyny ā€” immersed in a trifecta of hate. The Nazis, the KKK, and the Taliban terrorists are standing with Trump.
Who do you stand with?

Ronald Reagan, an FBI informant, testifies before the House Un-American Activities Committee against other his fellow actors. 1947
He wasn't JUST the worst president ever (maybe 2nd worst after trump?)...he was also a horrible human being that ruined people's lives when he was still an actor.

The supreme court gave Trump immunity, pretty much. They confirmed that Trump can legally kill people and get away with it now. (So could Biden right now, but he's so much of a fucking pussy to do that.)
Like, they made what he can and can't do pretty vague, but they very clearly confirmed that he could kill his political opponents and get away with it if he wants.
When he promised that there won't ever be another election, this is what he's talking about. (And when it's Fox admitting to it you know it's true.) His plan (or maybe Vance's plan, if Trump doesn't live long enough to see 2028) is to kill all of his political opponents until there's nobody else to run against him. He fucking idolizes those who already does this, like Putin and Kim Jong-un. Of course he's going to copy them.
The Axios link above is a list of those who are pretty much already on his hit-list. This technically includes me and the people following this blog since groups like "supreme court critics" are on that list.
Of course as soon as people like Biden and Kamala are killed I'm getting the fuck out of here. Even though I know that I'm nobody to him, (for now. I wouldn't put it past him to "reeducate" people like me like they do in China) I don't want to be in a place where the president is a dictator who's killing people.
By the way, "supreme court critics" will also include people who realized what they voted for too late. If you complain about the upcoming tariffs, you're on the list.

I wonā€™t lie, Iā€™m not shocked he even one just because America always has the need to support the ā€œ anti heroā€ or self proclaimed ā€œ underdogā€ and so on. But what I will say is I never want to hear anyone talk about banding together or doing the right thing because ( with the exception of people who did take it seriously) most of everyone where posting their ballots writing joke shit on them, despite project 2025 being released to the public people did not see how much of a treat it is to not just black, LGBTQ+ and immigration rights, healthcare, but the rights of human beings at large
So with that said, I donā€™t want to hear anyone between now and the next four years talk about how books are getting censored or banned, free speech is dead, womenā€™s rights are gone, people canā€™t get married or live their gay/queer dreams or story, how ā€œ well I mean it wonā€™t be that badā€ because it will, and honestly the fact that no one understands this is going to be our generations reagan years is beyond me at this point
And with that said, I donā€™t want to hear shit also from anyone if people start becoming cynical, disinfectant or disenfranchised. The people are now un motivated, slackers, and the way pervious generations were seen from the 80ā€™s-90ā€™s. Because not only trump being president is bad enough now republicans have the house again and we all know what hell that will bring
I never want to hear about unity or coming together when we didnā€™t do that, the people who are a minority and still voted for him especially people of color, hispanics and so on even though our people have been though it for years we still looked at a convicted felon and facist and said ā€œ well Kamala was against weed in the 90ā€™s, even though she changed we hate her so fuck herā€ or ā€œ well trump is friends with ( insert poc celebrities here)ā€ is so fucking beyond me
So with that said, fuck this election, fuck the next four years, fuck everyone who failed at basic common sense and most of all fuck everyone who did the ā€œ they are both bad imma not voteā€ shit because itā€™s not about electing a role model, all presidents are bad people, but that does not mean you elect a proven racist, rapist and vile human being over a flawed woman whoā€™s not those things and wouldnā€™t put us thought the shit we will deal with now
If you voted for him, fuck you
If you where against Kamala for hypocritical standards, fuck you
If you are older and complain that todays youth is out of control and doesnā€™t care anymore and is angst ridden and is cynical and wants nothing to do with anything, fuck you
And if anyone shames people with moderate or severe mental illness and they canā€™t get help now moving forward, people have breakdowns and lose their shit, fuck you
We failed at doing our one job, and that is looking out for each other and making this bat shit country a safe place for us and tomorrowā€™s youth

Omega Found, Omega Lost, part 1
Title: Omega found, Omega lost; Chapter: 1/5; WC: 2372 Rating: M (will be E in later parts); Tags: Steddie, Omega Steve, Alpha Eddie, angst, hurt/comfort, fluff. For whumptober 2024, day 1 prompts: race against the clock, search party, panic attack.
Summary: Newly presented Omega, Steve, gets lost in a storm while out searching for Dustin. Unclaimed and un-mated, he's vulnerable to any predatory Alpha... but he can trust Eddie Munson, right? Whump, whump, whump but also shameless fluff!
Billion x thank you to @wheneverfeasible who kindly enabled the omega-verse fun <3<3<3
Chapter 1: Race against the clock (also here on Ao3)
Steve parked up on the edge of the forest and wandered out, wondering which of the noisy search parties he should tag along with. Icy drizzle lashed his glowing cheeks. The skies churned with clouds that resembled purple-black bruises. The winter storm brewing was nearly as intense as the shitstorm over the missing pups.
"Steve?ā€ Chief Hopper left the group heā€™d been bossing around and thundered over. ā€œWhat the hell are you doing?"
"What does it look like?" Steve wrapped his arms tight around himself. Being yelled at by the most Alpha Alpha in the town pack was super-scary. He lifted his chin defiantly. "Dustin is my friend. I canā€™t stay on the bench for this."
"Donā€™t be a fool. Loan Alphas roam these woods at night. You know that, kid. You fall out of step, get left behind? Youā€™re a stripling unmated Omegaā€”you do the math.ā€
Yeah, yeah, yeah. Lone Alphas are animals whoā€™d as soon spit-roast me alive as hump me. Iā€™ve heard the scary bedtime stories so many times they genuinely make me doze off. Anyhow, theyā€™d be freakinā€™ brain-dead, evolutionary full-stop Alphas to be skulking around for kicks on a night like this.Ā
Steve didnā€™t say any of that, of course. He mumbled towards his boots, ā€œI could come with you?ā€Ā
"I can't be looking out for Hawkinsā€™ mouthiest, most hothead Omega, whenā€¦"
Steve was never going to win. Even his trump-card reason for joining the searchā€”the walkie-talkie heā€™d been trying to contact Dustin on for hoursā€”was summarily dismissed.
ā€œWe have Lucasā€™s radio,ā€ said Hopper. ā€œHeā€™s helping with the search.ā€
ā€œSinclair? Seriously?ā€ Steve barely kept the whine from his voice. ā€œHeā€™s a pup! Look, I can take care ofā€”"
"Omega, go home."
Steveā€™s breath jammed in his lungs. Hopperā€™s deep rumbling growl was pretty much inarguable. As was the arm Hopper slung around him to guide him back toward his car.
Steve drove off. He was so goddamn frustrated, and the worry inside him made his stomach churn as wildly as the clouds. He was nearly home before he slammed to a halt, tyres screeching and skidding.
Screw them all! He was an Omega, not a freakinā€™ pushover, plus there were pups in danger. Okay, not his pups, and in fact only a few years younger than him. That was total irrelevance. It was his duty as much as anybodyā€™s to look out for them. In fact, presenting as Omega had been a goddamn relief, explaining a lot about his protective instincts toward younger kids.
Oh, and also about Eddie Munson, whoā€™d presented as Alpha the year before Steve presented Omega.Ā
Simply thinking about Eddie stirred something wild in the pit of his belly. Eddie had been hitting on him, and yeah, Steve was interested. But was Eddie serious?
Eddie Munson never seemed quite serious about anything. Plus, Steveā€™s parents totally didnā€™t approve of himā€¦ and Steve had no capacity to worry about that mind-fuck tonight.
Dustin was missing. Obsessing over Eddie was making him confused and even more stressed-out, when he ought to be super-pumped to find his younger friend.
He drove back to the fringes of the forest then retrieved his walkie-talkie from the glove compartment. He wrapped himself up in woolly mittens and a scarfā€”newly knitted by his dad, so it was soft and springy and smelled comfortingly of homeā€”and stomped off in the direction of Skull Rock. Heā€™d a hunch that Dustin was with his girlfriend, so there was a small chance theyā€™d moseyed in that direction, and thenā€¦
ā€¦Christ, he couldnā€™t bear to think what mightā€™ve happened.
Steve gritted his teeth against the biting wind. Under the twilight, the fresh snow looked magical, like sweet frosting on the naked branches. He didnā€™t enjoy it for long. Soon, he waded through drifts that rose to his knees, the dampness soaked through his clothes and seeped into his bones.Ā
Worse, he wasnā€™t sure where he was.
He got out his flashlight. Dammit. He figured he knew this part of the forest like the back of his hand. Everything looked crazily different in the snow.
His breath grew short, and the cold burned his chest. Crap, he was scared, but he couldnā€™t surrender to it. He pulled out his walkie-talkie, removed his mittens to work the thing: ā€œDustin? Do you copy, you little shit?ā€
ā€œSteve? Yeah! I copy! Holy crap, you have literally no idea! Iā€™m fiiine, but there was this mammouth search, andā€¦ā€ Fuzzy white noise interrupted Dustinā€™s voice. Steve caught more snatches: ā€œSuzieā€¦ cakeā€¦ hot chocolateā€¦ā€Ā
More white noise. Then nothing. Steve dialled madly, seeking an open channel.
ā€œDustin? Dustin! Anybody? Do you copy? What the heck? Oh, no, no, no, no, no. Please, come back!ā€
His radio was dead. Totally dead.
ā€œShitā€¦ Shit!ā€
The cold stiffened his fingers, hampering his efforts to get it working again. Night shrouded the forest completely, save the occasional flash of a near full moon between the fast-moving clouds.Ā
Oh God. Oh God. This isnā€™t happening. Iā€™ve got to get home. Iā€™ve got to get home!Ā
He pulled his mittens back on, smothered his face in his sodden scarf. He could barely glean the reassuring scent. Madly waving his flashlight around didnā€™t help, as the snow had healed over his footfalls already. Rooting himself to the spot, his mind began seizing up.
Oh help! Oh Godā€¦ I canā€™tā€¦ canā€™t! Not by myselfā€¦ I canā€™tā€¦ I needā€¦ Oh shiiiiiit!
Eddie Munson popped into his head.
Which was kinda screwball, but heā€™d take it. It wasnā€™t exactly a vision of Eddie, more of a feeling: an idea of Eddieā€™s body enveloping him, which set warmth glowing beneath his chilled skin. Steve wiped his eyes, shook himself as if waking from a dream.Ā
Deep breaths. You can do this, Harrington.
The wind had been behind him on his way, right? Okay, so he had to fight against it to return to his car. He set off, wishing the nasty-ass air would stay still, rather than battering him with slap after slap, much like his increasingly negative thoughts:Ā
Oh Jesus, he was an idiot!Ā
He couldnā€™t even follow his Omega instincts correctly without screwing the hell up. Maybe it would be different if he had an Alpha who wanted to mate with him, rather than dumb teen crushes. If he had a nest of his own, to feather for his pups. Oh God! Was he gonna freeze to death, orā€¦
Oh, shit, shit, shit!
When he was home and safe, it was easy to laugh off scare stories about rogue Alphas. Right now, all he could think of was Tommy H, cackling in his face when heā€™d first presented Omega:
ā€œYou are gonna fuck this up so bad, Harrington. Youā€™re such an airhead, youā€™ll wind up chained in some cave, breeding machine and fuck toy, till youā€™re not so pretty, and thenā€¦ā€
SNAP!
For a fleeting heartbeat, the sound alone shocked Steve, ripping him from his fearful thoughts.
Then the searing pain in his ankle tore up his leg and spine, and all but fried his brain.
He collapsed onto his butt in the snow, dropping his flashlight. He blinked through the gloom at the snare around his outstretched left leg. Heā€™d walked straight into an old huntersā€™ trap orā€¦
Maybe this is how those lone Alphas snare their victims?
The pain gathered pace, forcing him into gasping sobs. He was so cold. So scared. No more than a husk of quivering flesh. He huddled into a ball, small as possible, apart from his trapped and bleeding leg. It felt like every nerve and tendon was being ripped and chewed, over and over, by razor-sharp teeth, while cold gnawed hungrily through the rest of him.
When he tried to think, panic throttled him afresh. All he could do was feel, and all he felt was the all-consuming scorching of the fire and the ice, andā€¦ something elseā€¦ another unendurable agonyā€¦ a desperate yearning:
Please, Eddieā€¦ Alphaā€¦ Help me?
ā€¦
A strange gut feeling propelled Eddie to go open the door of the trailer.Ā
Fuck, it was cold! He stepped out, closed the door behind him, and squinted into the darkness.Ā
To be fair, Eddie liked the snow, and he never felt the cold or the heat too bad. Something about growing up in the trailer, he guessedā€”ball-shrivelling frigid in the winter, and sweatier in the summer than the contents of his snuggest leather pants.
Then Eddie smelt it, striking through the icy air like lightning.Ā
Fear. Blood! An Omega in trouble? Yes. And not just any Omega. This was the Omega heā€™d been crazy about for months. Okay, yeah, Steve had been playing kinda macho, hard to get. On the other hand, Eddie perceived that, deep down, Steve was plain scared of him, and he wasnā€™t sure how to make that right.
He nearly fled straight into the forest. Then he checked himself and went back inside to throw on a warm jacket and grab a flashlight. Steve was in trouble, crying and vulnerable. Eddie had to find him before some meathead Alphaā€”or lowlife Betaā€”got their filthy claws into him.
ā€œHold on, Baby. Iā€™m a cominā€™.ā€
The journey passed in a blur. He muscled his way through the snow like he was the goddamn Hulk, not a rookie Alpha of barely a year, with a slender-for-an-Alpha frame. Before long, the scent that drew him grew overwhelming. Steveā€™s for sure. Blood, tears and naked fear dampened his usual delicious musk, which was like bananas and cream mingled with something even more potent and ā€œgrabby-handy.ā€Ā
Yup, Steve usually smelt as addictive as the finest weed heā€™d ever supped.
Eddie now stood dead still. The hairs on the back of his neck bristled, while he swept his flashlight beam across the snow, and then, ā€œSteve!ā€
Eddie flung himself forward to where Steve was huddled. The white stuff smothered Steve so completely that, without the scent, Eddie couldā€™ve missed him. Eddie dumped his flashlight and blanketed himself around Steve, shielding him from the storm. Steve tensed, whimpered, and struggled slightly, almost elbowing Eddie off. Eddie braced him tighter, rubbed soothing circles on his back.
ā€œSssssh, itā€™s okay, Baby. Itā€™s me. Itā€™s Eddie. I gotcha, I gotcha.ā€
It pained Eddie to unwind himself even as far as he needed to examine the terrified Omega.
ā€œH-hurts,ā€ whispered Steve, curling into Eddie, burrowing his face into Eddieā€™s chest. Eddie carefully roamed his hands down Steveā€™s body, checking for injuries.
His gaze alighted on the dark stains in the snow around Steveā€™s ankle.
And the metal hunterā€™s snare, lying by Steveā€™s leg and half-lost in a drift.
Steveā€™s hands were bare and bleeding too. Obviously, heā€™d somehow pried the thing off. Eddieā€™s blood boiled, while a terrible collapsing sensation in his chest seemed to tell him heā€™d failed already.Ā
ā€œP-please donā€™t eat me,ā€ Steve murmured. ā€œPlease help me.ā€
ā€œStevie?ā€ He touched his knuckles to Steveā€™s pale cheek, captured a gaze fogged with pain and fear. ā€œLook at me! Hey? Not gonna hurt you. Jesus, you know that, right?ā€
Steve kinda nodded, comprehension glinting, then his face crumpled completely, and he started to weakly cry. Eddie folded him against his chest, trying not to move his injured leg then gently tucked Steveā€™s injured hands under the folds of his jacket.
He must stop any bleeding, and get Steve out of here before he froze to death. The wind whooped ever harder through the trees, the snow battered them in horizontal gusts, and worse, Eddie was rattled, too.
Eddie Munson had never been a hero.Ā
Right outta the gate, this lousy, hierarchical world had conditioned him to be an outcast, a reject. A nothing. On the other hand, presenting as an Alpha had made some sense to him. After all, each time the world dealt him a crappy card, which was pretty much every day, heā€™d always been able to flip the bird and cackle like a maniac in its force-conformity face.
Right now, though, he was bordering on losing his shit. And Alphas werenā€™t supposed to do that, right?
Focus, Munson. First, you need to calm and comfort him.
He gathered Steve closer, so the Omega was huddled halfway into his lap, his head tucked on Eddieā€™s shoulder. Then Eddie dipped to rub his face in the curve of Steveā€™s neckā€”yup, right on that tantalizingly unbroken mating glandā€”dousing him in his scent. All the while, he shushed and soothed him, till Steveā€™s whimpers disintegrated into soft sighs.
Then he kept on gently rocking and cuddling him.
Steveā€™s breaths beat against Eddie's throat, and he sensed the too-fast patter of the Omega's heart. Boy, Steve aced at presenting tough. Right now, stripped bare, Eddie saw only how goddamn fragile he truly was.
ā€œThank you, Alpha,ā€ murmured Steve, startling Eddie, ā€œD-doesnā€™t hurt so much. Not c-cold anymore. Canā€™t feel my leg.ā€
Okay, that was a touch disturbing.
Once again, Eddie forced himself to focus. Which was harder than ever. This was the first time any Omega had called him Alpha, let alone one he was dippy about. If things were different, heā€™d have been howling ecstatically toward the next glimpse of the moon. Oh, and revelling in Steveā€™s ethereal prettiness, the shadow of those long lashes across his porcelain cheek, and the faintest vibration of the Omegaā€™s purrs.
There was also the problematic fact that his knee-jerk notion of ā€˜comfortā€™ had been to douse Steve in his scent.
Good call, Munson. Douse first. Think later. When your dickā€™s gonna do most of the thinking for you.
Nope. This wasnā€™t a good time for his inner Alpha to dump him with a boner: ā€œOkay, Baby, Iā€™m gonna bind up your ankle, and then Iā€™m gonna get you home.ā€
ā€œToo tired. Want to sleep here. St-stay here with you.ā€
Yeah. Then we both die, Sweetheart.
Eddie pressed his lips to Steveā€™s temple. He thumbed Steveā€™s damp hair from those huge, befuddled eyes, and let his more protective Alpha instincts lead him:
ā€œYou gotta stay awake, Omega,ā€ he growled. ā€œYour Alpha is gonna take care of you, but you gotta come with me and do exactly what I say.ā€
