I wanna honestly appreciate Logan Cunningham for his voice acting.

I still break with Transistor. His voice acting is impeccable. The mood, the commentary, the company, the cheering, the jokes, the corrupted/drunk and the heartbreak of the final scene (every time I hear it I get more pain)

But he also voices the Narrator, Hades, Poseidon, Charon, Achilles and Asterion (the minotaur). I can't tell it's the same voice thanks to the deformation effects and also the moods each character has.

Also he reprises the roles that appear again (Achilles and Asterius haven't appeared (yet?)) but adding Polyphemus and Cronos. I found out after accidentally entering the Credits in game.

It's just. I need that man earning something because each character he delivers is too precious. Transistor has me on a chokehold because of his voice and mood. I was shocked when I found out he also voices Hades. And now I'm even more after finding out Cronos has his voice as well.

Like all my issues have the same voice actor.

Lover? Transistor/Unknown/Mr Nobody/Auden/Boxer/Blue. Father? Hades. Mentor? Achilles. In-law? Charon. Someone narrating my life? Homer. Grandpa? Cronos. Uncle? Poseidon. An animal? Asterius. An enemy? Polyphemus.

He's got all of them, and he serves them good.

Not sure if anyone here’s seen the big ‘LK-99 potential room temperature and ambient pressure superconductor’ race to successful replication and confirmation going on on Twitter in the materials science space but holy shit it’s so interesting (I say as a materials chemist who doesn’t specialise in superconductivity but is in a lab group that has done some stuff on superconductors)

Marvel had like three anthology books back in the day: Strange Tales, Tales of Suspense and Tales to Astonish. If i were ranking these three books from best to worst, i feel like i would go: Tales to Astonish, Strange Tales, Tales of Suspense. Tales to Astonish had Ant-Man/Giant-Man, Hulk and Namor. And all three of those characters are pretty good. I don't love the later giant-man stories, but i love the old ant-man ones. And hulk and namor seem like they'd have fun stories.

Strange Tales had the human torch, doctor strange and nick fury, agent of shield. Some of the early doctor strange stories got a little dull for me, but i didn't hate them. And i haven't read the human torch or nick fury stuff, but it seems like it'd be good. The human torch stuff seems like standard weird, silly silver age stuff. I mean, we get villians like asbestos man, for goodness' sales. And the Nick Fury stuff was spy fiction, which seems cool. Spy fiction seems like it'd be cool.

Takes of Suspense is the worst, solely because of the content of some of the stories (i think, at least). Takes of Suspense was for Iron Man and Captain America, and their stories aren't always the best. These two get all the cold war stuff. With characters like the Titanium Man, Crimson Dynamo, etc as villains, you begin noticing a pattern. I mean, he had good stories (and his supporting cast is nice), but the cold war stuff stands out. And the Captain America stories...well, i want to like them. But it's hard to get past his super soldier serum origins. And with stories like one where the red skull infiltrates a black power rally (no, they really did that), it gets a bit hard to want to read it. Not because the character is bad. But moreso because the writing seems bad.

Supergiant really has outdone themselves in the arena of diegetic music and interacting with the singers, which is impressive when you consider that they've done it in every game.

I'm just stoked there's another Supergiant game with a female protagonist. Melinoe can kick it with Red. Desperately hoping people make fanart of this premise now that I'm thinking of it. Also considering the widespread adoration Zagreus received there is NO WAY they are not making their Hades 2 protag bisexual, so I am EXTREMELY excited to FINALLY have some more gay women in the Supergiant universe since the first, last, and only is fucking Sybil

FUCK I was just trying to find a goddamn sewing needle to sew my weighted blanket back together (monthly maintenance task those things are not set up to withstand the amount of nightmare flailing I do every night) and I ended up cleaning out my ENTIRE doom chest (giant trunk I made myself with a false bottom that holds all the stuff I hate) and now it looks VERY PRETTY and has all my sewing stuff properly stored in it with silica packets properly distributed to keep out mold but I DIDN’T FIND A SINGLE HAND SEWING NEEDLE. Two sewing machines, two bags of scrap fabric, 20 million pins, two phone book sized outdated rare coin price dictionaries, random assortment of expired medication, inpatient binders, etc etc and NOT ONE HAND SEWING NEEDLE…………
