How can a Podcast increase SEO and increase Reach
No one talks about it much but buddy you have no idea what you are missing if you are not adding this strategy in your podcast marketing checklist. Yes it’s SEO. But how can a podcast increase SEO? Screw it! What is SEO in the first place? Let’s chew over some definitions before we start pep talk.
What is SEO?
SEO stands for Search Engine Optimization. It involves optimizing online content like web pages, blog posts, and YouTube videos to attract free organic traffic from search engines like Google and YouTube.

How to enhance SEO Rankings for Podcast Episodes
Sam has been podcasting weekly for 3 years and wants to increase his podcast’s discoverability through search. Sam is a solopreneur and tried the 5 pins, 3 reels, 3 YouTube shorts, and 7 TikToks a week route. He hated it, and it didn’t increase his weekly downloads.
Sam also tried live-streaming and using that as a podcast for 10 episodes. The juice wasn’t worth the squeeze for him — being on video and entertaining that audience took away from the content he prepared for the podcast(that caused friction with his ADHD).
Currently, Sam’s podcast has its own website via Simplecast with its own domain name + he uploads transcripts for all episodes. And he is doing pretty well.
Now Let’s make a step by step plan for you-
Brainstorming Episode Topics
First, brainstorm episode topics based on your niche. Suppose you’re starting a podcast focused on freelancing. Write down all the episode ideas you have in mind, both broad and niche.
Tips for Gathering Ideas
Use Reddit: Find a couple of subreddits relevant to your podcast topic and see what people are discussing.
Check Out Other Podcasts: Look at other podcasts related to your topic and see what they’ve covered.
Google Search: Search your topic on Google and analyze the first few results. These results likely reflect solid keyword research, making the topics they cover great to explore or narrow down further.
Getting More Specific
In your episode, explore what questions people are asking. Take that keyword and insert it into a site like AnswerThePublic or Ahrefs Keyword Generator. You’ll get a list of questions people are asking about that keyword, helping you plan the content of your episode and the questions you want to answer. Look for highly searched topics, which you can identify using key indicators.
Rewrite Episode Titles for SEO
You may think that clever or catchy episode titles are the way to go and they might be for your current audience. But if you want new listeners, you need to rethink your strategy. SEO loves straightforward, keyword-rich titles.
For example: Instead of titling it “Lights, Camera, Action! The Hidden Gems of 90s Cinema,” try something more SEO-friendly like “Best 90s Movies You’ve Never Heard Of.”
It’s not as flashy, but it’s going to pull in way more people searching for “best 90s movies.”
Use Keyword Research Tools
Use keyword research tools to get started. A free tool with significant functionality is Wordstream. Search each of your episode ideas one by one. For example, if you want to create an episode on “photography freelancing,” search that term. Ensure the term has low competition but high search volume, meaning lots of people are searching for it, but there’s not much information online about it. Based on the volume and competition ratio, this could be a great keyword to use. Once you’ve found it, move on to the next step.
Conclusion
It’s easy to think that SEO is something only bloggers need to worry about, but that’s far from the truth. Podcasters have a wealth of content and with the right strategy, can boost their visibility online. Just like Sam, you can turn your passion project into something that not only reaches more people but also grows your influence in your niche.
Remember, SEO isn’t about gaming the system — it’s about making your content easier to find by the people who need it. And when done right, it’s a win-win for both you and your audience.
I have made a broaden discussion in my full blog, where I have shared some more tips on how you can boost your podcast SEO, by creating website, cross promotions and more and provided some useful links. To read my full blog Click Here.

How to Optimize Video Content for Top Search Ranking
Tumblr media
In the fast-moving web world, video content presents one of the best ways through which a business can connect with its audience. With the rise of video-centric platforms like YouTube, and the importance of video increasing within most search algorithms, making sure that your video content is properly optimized for search rankings can really be a game changer. Small or big, knowing the ways to improve your videos for search engine optimization will go a reasonable way in making your entity visible on the web.
In this article, we are going to share actionable techniques on how to optimize your video for top search engine rankings, so that your production doesn't go unrecognized. We will also showcase how Apex Aline Video Editing and Making can be very useful for you to create your entire videos and have your audience captured and engaged, with the most important fact of ranking high in search engines.
1. Choose Your Keywords Carefully
Video SEO works mainly the same way as text-based content. Therefore, it must start with keyword research. The target keywords will come from those being looked for by the target audience. Because long-tail keywords are related to your niche, it therefore gives a better scope of visibility. If your business is video editing services, then you will find a keyword like "Apex Aline Video Editing and Making" very relevant in this case.
Tip: Look up high-volume and low-competition keywords using Google's Keyword Planner or Ahrefs and include them in your video titles, descriptions, and tags.
2. Write an Attention-Grabbing Title
The video title is what a search engine and viewers are going to see first. A well-crafted title that includes your primary keyword is going to have a dramatic effect on your rankings.
- Example: Instead of the generic "How to Edit Videos," try something more specific: "Expert Tips for Apex Aline Video Editing and Making."
   - Tip: Make your title, on average, 60 characters or less, to not get it cut in search results.
3. Optimize Your Video Description
Important section of SEO is the video description. Your description provides search engines with context about what the video will contain. Integrate the targeted keywords naturally within the first couple of lines, outlining in detail what you're covering within the video.
- Tip: Add hyperlinks toward your site, social media channels, or related content through the description to generate traffic and increase engagement.
4. Work with Tags Effectively
Tags enable search engines to scan through the content of your video to then group it properly. Mix and match broad and narrow tags together to include all of the main keywords and related terms. Tip: Just don't overdo it. Keep it at 5-10 relevant tags to avoid the zone of keyword stuffing.
5. Work on the Thumbnails
While the role of thumbnails is not that of an SEO, it has duly significant impacts when it comes to clicks. Having an attractive and high-quality thumbnail helps boost the click rate of your video, which in return will boost your rankings.
   - Tip: Clear images with bold text and contrasting colors make your thumbnails stand out from the crowd.
6. Add Closed Captions and Transcripts
In addition to making your content more accessible, closed captions and transcripts provide a bit more text for search engine spiders to examine. This is very much able to enhance the SEO for your video and help in ranking for various other keywords.
- Tip: For maximum SEO, use accurate and keyword-rich captions and transcripts.
7. Share on Multiple Channels
Share your video on social media, email newsletters, and your website. The more views, likes, shares it gets, the higher it will rank in search.
   - Tip: Embed the video, just like on the Apex Aline Branding and Creative Services site, on your website or blog.
8. Monitor Performance and Refine Further
Be aware of how your video is performing: track it using YouTube Analytics or Google Analytics. Some key metrics to keep an eye on are watch time, CTR, and viewer retention.
Tip: Can be utilized by adjusting the refinement to titles, description, or tags for improvement in ranking your videos over time.
9. Tap into Apex Aline Video Editing and Making.
If you really want to achieve success in SEO, you have to create high-quality and engaging video content. Dragon Age development insights and highlights from Bioware: Stories and Secrets from 25 Years of Game Development
Some really tasty factoids here.
Tumblr media
Cut for length.
Dragon Age: Origins
The continent of Thedas was at one point going to be named Pelledia, a name initially floated by James Ohlen
“Qunari” was a temporary name that ended up unintentionally sticking, much like “Thedas”
Mary Kirby wrote the Landsmeet. To this day, nobody understands how it works, except possibly her. If she’s “really really drunk” she can explain how it works. There’s as many words in it as Sten’s entire conversations put together
Concept art for Thedosian art - as in in-world art - draws heavily on Renaissance-era portraiture, the Art Nouveau movement, religious styles and media like stained glass, and favorite pieces from the golden age of illustrations in the early 20th century
Andrastianism in-world (art-wise) is depicted in wildly different methods depending on who in-world made the art in question. “One religion, 3 different lenses”. There’s the Chantry take, the Orlesian take and the Fereldan take; each with its own different interpretations, different mediums and different stories
The stained glass images were drawn by Nick Thornborrow for DAI, to decorate religious spaces in that game “and beyond”
irl Viking art influenced Ferelden
Greek and Italian art influenced Orlais
The book also had other insights into and anecdotes from the development of DAO, but I’ve transcribed them recently as they’re essentially the stories DG has recently been relating on the awesome Summerfall Studios DAO playthrough Twitch streams. (On those streams he provides dev commentary while Liam Esler plays through DA. The ones with DG are currently once every two weeks. Check them out! Here’s a calendar where you can check when the next one is) Instead of repeating myself I’ll just provide the link to the first transcript. From there you can navigate to the subsequent parts. Note these streams are ongoing. At this point I will also point you to a related post which is cliff notes of the Dragon Age chapter in Jason Schreier’s book Blood Sweat and Pixels.
Dragon Age II
DAO had the longest development period in BioWare history. In contrast DA2 had the shortest
Initially DA2 was going to be an expansion to DAO. A few months in EA said “Yeah, expansions like these don’t sell very well, so let’s make it a sequel.” So it suddenly became DA2 and they had to make it even bigger, although they still only had 1.5 years of time in which to do this
Production of DA2 officially lasted only 9 months, and at the time the team was still supporting live content for DAO! They finished development that January after the design team crunched all the way through the holiday period that year. Then it went to cert 9 times
The limited time they had is why the story takes place mostly in and around 1 city, and over 7 years (so it was temporal, rather than over physical distance, because a more expansive world would have taken more irl time to make)
They had no time to review even the main plot. Mike Laidlaw pitched the idea of 3 stories taking place at different points in the PC’s life, tied together by Varric’s recollections of events. DG rolled with this and made 1 presentation on the idea. This presentation was then approved and off they went
As they were writing DG realized that there was going to be no oversight and that everything was going to be a ‘first draft’. “Because nobody had time.” He sat down with the writers and said “Look, here’s the conditions we’re working under. A lot of what we’re putting out is gonna be raw. We’re not going to get the editing we need. We’re not going to get the kind of iteration we need. So I’m going to trust you all to do your best work.”
Looking back, DG has mixed feelings on DA2. “A lot of corners were cut. The public perception was that it was smaller than DAO. That’s a sin on its own.”
Despite this he thinks DA2 has some of the best writing in the series, especially character-wise. The DA2 chars are his favorite
The pace with which production progressed may in some ways have helped. “When we do a lot of revision, we often file away [as in buff off] some of the good writing as well. Somehow DA2′s whirlwind process resulted in some really good writing”
The pace meant chars landed on the writers in various stages of completion. For example Isabela was fairly defined due to appearing in DAO. In contrast Varric at the start was just that single piece of widely-shown concept art
Varric was conceived as a storyteller not a fighter. His skills are talking and bullshitting. Hence the question became, so what does this guy do in combat? The direction was to make him as different as possible to Oghren, so not a warrior. He couldn’t be a dual-wielding rogue in order to differentiate him from Bela. But you can’t really picture this guy with a bow. “For a dwarf, it would probably be a crossbow. We didn’t have crossbows, or we only had crossbows for the darkspawn. And they were part of the models. We didn’t have a separate crossbow that was equip-able by the chars. They had to like, crop one off a darkspawn and remodel it. And that became Bianca” (quote: Mary Kirby)
“Dwarven mages are exceedingly rare.” [???]
If DAO was a classic fantasy painting, DA2 was a screenshot from a Kurosawa film or a northern Renaissance painting. (Here Matt Rhodes was commenting on art style)
John Epler: “In any one of our games, there’s a 95% chance that if you turn the camera away from what it’s looking at, you’ll see all kinds of janky stuff. The moment we know the camera is no longer facing someone, we no longer care what happens to them. We will teleport people around. We will jump people around. We will literally have someone walk off screen and then we will shift them 1000 meters down, because we’re fixing some bug.” John also talked about this camera stuff in a recent charity Twitch stream for Gamers For Groceries. There’s a writeup of that stream here
Designing Kirkwall pushed concept artists to the limits of visual storytelling, because it has a long history that they wanted to be present. It was once the hub of Tevinter’s slave empire, so it needed to look brutal and harsh, but it also then needed to feel reclaimed, evolved, and with elements of contemporary Free Marches culture
The initial plan was for DA titles to be distinguished by subtitles not numbers, so that each experience could stand on its own rather than feel like a sequel or continuation. (My note: New PCs in each entry make sense then when you consider this and other factoids we know like how DA is the story of the world not of any one PC). Later, DA2′s name was made DA2 in a bid to more clearly connect the game to its predecessor. For DAI they returned to the original naming convention. (My note: so I’d reckon they’d be continuing the subtitle naming convention for DA4)
DA2 was initially code-named “Nug Storm”, strictly internally
The Cancelled DA2 Expansion - Exalted March
This was a precursor to DAI
It was meant to bridge the gap between DA2 and DAI
It focused on the fallout from Kirkwall’s explosion, with Cory serving as the villain
Meredith’s red lyrium statue was basically going to infest Kirkwall and it would end up [with what would end up] the red templars taking over Kirkwall and essentially being Cory’s army
To stop him Hawke would have recruited various factions, including Bela’s Felicisima Armada and the Qunari at Estwatch, forcing Hawke to split loyalties and risk relationships in the process
It was meant to bring DA2′s story to an end and end in Varric’s death. DG was very happy with this because all of DA2 is Varric’s tale. The expansion was supposed to start at the moment Cassandra’s interrogation of him ended in the present. “And we finished off the story with Varric having this heroic death.” It tied things up and would have broken many fan hearts, something BioWare writers notoriously enjoy. But between a transition to the new Frostbite engine and the scope of DAI, the decision was made to cancel EM, work any hard-to-lose concepts into DAI, and in the process save Varric’s life. DG has talked about the Varric dying thing before
Concept art for EM explored new areas previously not depicted in the DA universe, with costumes that reflected next steps for familiar chars. Varric was going to war, what would he have worn? With Anders, if he survived DA2, the plan was to present a redeemed Warden
A char that vaguely resembled Sera in DAI was first concepted for EM. This fact was mentioned near this concept art (see the female elf) and this concept art of Bethany with the blond bob
The writers sketched out plans to end it with Hawke having the option to marry their LI. This included alternate ceremonies for party members like Bethany and Sebastian if the player opted not to wed. There was even a wedding dress made for Hawke. This asset made it into DAI (Sera and Cullen’s weddings in Trespasser). The dress can also be seen in DAI during an ambient NPC wedding after completing a chain of war table missions
The destruction of a Chantry was explored in concept art as it might have happened in EM. This idea ended up carrying over to the beginning of DAI. (My note: Lol, the idea that DA2 could have had 2 Chantries being destroyed in it 😆)
World of Thedas
Sheryl Chee and Mary Kirby started with “a disgusting little dish called fluffy mackerel pudding”. In the middle of DAO’s busy dev period one of them (they can’t remember who) found a recipe online for this, scanned in from a 70s cookbook. “I don’t understand why it was fluffy. Why would you want fluffy mackerel pudding?” MK says. “We loved it so much we included it in a DAO codex.”
This led them to create more food for Thedas, full recipes included, like a Fereldan turnip and barley stew from MK and SC’s Starkhaven fish and egg pie. The fish pie became Sebastian’s favorite. “To me it made sense for it to be fish pie because a lot of the Free Marches are on the coast”, SC says, “It was something that was popular in medieval times, so I thought, let’s make a fish pie! I looked at medieval recipes and I concocted a fish pie which I fed to my partner, and he was like ‘This is not terrible’”
For WoT the whole studio was asked to contribute family recipes which might have a place in Thedas. SC adapted these to fit in one Thedosian culture or another, including a beloved banana bread that localization producer Melanie Fleming would regularly bake to keep the DA team motivated. “Melanie’s banana bread got us through Inquisition”
DAI
It says part of DAI takes place in or near the border with Nevarra [???]
This game was aimed to be bigger than DA2 and even DAO in every conceivable way
The first hour had to do a lot of heavy lifting, tying together the events of DAO and DA2 while introducing a new PC, new followers etc in the aftermath of the big attack. DG rewrote it 7 times then Lukas Kristjanson did 2 more passes
DG: “Our problem is always that our endings are so important, but we leave them to last, when we have no time. I kept pushing on DAI: ‘Can we work on the ending now? Can we work on the ending now? Can we do it early on?’ Because I knew exactly what it was going to be. But despite the fact that it kept getting scheduled, whenever the schedule started falling behind, it kept getting pushed back... so, of course, it got left til last again.”
“The reveal of the story’s real antagonist, Solas, a follower until the end, when he betrayed the player”. “Solas’ story remains a main thread in Inquisition’s long-awaited follow-up” [these aren’t DG quotes, just bits of general text]
Over the course of development they had 8 full-time writers and 4 editors working on it. Other writers joined later to help wrangle what ended up being close to 1 million words of dialogue and unspoken text. While many teams moved to a more open concept style of work for DAI, the writers remained tucked away in their own room, a choice DG says was necessary, given how much they talked. All the talking had a purpose ofc as if someone hit a bump or wall in their writing they would open the problem up to the room
As writing on a project like DAI progresses, the writers grow punchier and weirder things make it into the game. This is especially the case towards the end of a project (they get tired, burned out)
Banter and codexes require less ‘buy-in’ (DG has talked about this concept a few times on the Twitch streams) from other designers. DG liked to leave banter for last as a reward because it was fun. Banter begins as lists of topics for 2 followers to discuss. These may progress over time or be one off exchanges. One banter script can balloon to well over 10k words. “The banter was always huge because we were always like, laughing, and really at that point, our fields of fucks were rather barren, so we would just do whatever”
The bog unicorn happened pretty much by accident. It was designed by Matt Rhodes and was one of his fav things to design. They needed horse variations and he had already designed an undead variant which was a bog mummy [bog body]. irl these are preserved in a much different way to traditional mummies. When someone dies in a bog their skin turns black and raisin-like. The examples we know of tend to have bright red hair for whatever reason. It’s a very striking look and MR wanted to do a horse version of this as he thought it’d be neat. 5 mins before the review meeting for it he had a big ‘Aha!’ moment, quickly looked up a rusty old Viking sword, and photoshopped it through its skull like that was how it died. “And I was like, ‘I just made a unicorn. Alright, in it goes!’” It got approved. “So we built the thing. It fit. It told a little story”
With the irl Inquisition longsword, one of the objects they tested its cleaving ability on was a plush version of Leliana’s nug Schmooples
The concept art team explored a wide variety of visuals for the Inquisitor’s signature mark. It needed to look powerful and raw but couldn’t look like a horrific wound. In some cases, as cool as the idea looked on paper, they just weren’t technically feasible, especially as they had to be able to fit on any number of different bodies
Bug report: “Endlessly spawning mounts! At one point during development, Inquisitors could summon a new horse every time they whistled, allowing them to amass a near infinite number of eager steeds that faithfully followed them across Thedas. “You could go charging across levels and they’d all gallop behind you,” Jen Cheverie says, “It was beautiful.” Trotting into town became an epic horse siege as a tidal wave of mounts enveloped the streets. Jen called it her Army of Ponies”
The giants came from DA Week, an internal period when devs can pursue different individual creative projects that in some way benefit DA. They also had a board game from one of these that they were going to put in but they didn’t have time. It’s referenced though. It was dwarven chess
Josie’s outfit is made of gold silk and patterned velvet, with leather at her waist. She carries “an ornate ledger” and she has “an ornamented collar sitting around her neck, finished by a brilliant red ruby, like a drop of Antivan wine in a sunbeam”
Iron Bull’s armor is leather. His loose pantaloons and leather boots give him agility to charge
On DAI in particular, concept artists took special care to make sure costumes would be realistic, at least in a practical ‘this obeys the laws of physics and textiles’ sense. “While on Inquisition, we thought about cosplay from a concept art perspective. Given how incredible a lot of [cosplays] are, I now am not worried about them. In fact in some cases in the future I want to throw them curveballs like, ‘All right, you clever bastards. Let’s see if you can do this!’”
2 geese that nested on the office building and had chicks were named Ganders and Arishonk (it wasn’t known who was the mom or the dad). Other possible names were Carver Honke, Bethany Honke, Urdnot Pecks, Quackwall, Cassandra Pentagoose, the Iron Bill, Shepbird, Garroose, Admiral Quackett, Scout Honking, HChick-47 and Darth Malgoose
Bug report: “The surprising adventures of Ser Noodles!” DAI was the first time the series had a mount feature, meaning this had a lot of bugs. A lot of the teams’ favorite bugs were to do with the mounts. There was a period of time where the Inquisitor’s horse seemed to lose all bone and muscle in its legs. They had a week or so where all quadruped legs were broken. It was a bit noticeable in things like nugs and other small beasties but the horse was insanely obvious. “The first time we summoned the horse [for this] and started running around, the entire QA exploration room just exploded with laughter.” Its legs flapped around like cooked fettucine, leading testers to lovingly nickname it Ser Noodles. At galloping speeds the legs almost looked like helicopter blades, especially when footage was set to classic pieces such as Wagner’s Flight of the Valkyries
For DAI the artists were asked questions like “What would Morrigan wear to a formal ball? Can Cassandra pull off a jaunty hat?”
On DAI storyboarding became the norm. John Epler: “Cinematic design for the longest time was the Wild West. It was ‘here’s a bunch of content, now do it however you want’, which resulted in some successes and some failures.” Storyboarding gave designers a consistent visual blueprint based on ideas from designers, writers and concept artists
Quote from a storyboard by Nick Thornborrow (the Inquisitor going into the party at the end of basegame sequence): “Until Corypheus revealed himself they could not see the single hand behind the chaos. A magister and a darkspawn combined. The ultimate evil. So evil. Eviler than puppy-killers and egg farts combined.”
A general note on concept art:
In the early stages of any project, before the concept artists are aware of any writing, they like to just draw what they think cool story moments could be. It’s not unusual for the team to then be inspired by these and fold them into the game as the project progresses

Final Fantasy XV Episode Ardyn Prologue Q&A | 2019
Tumblr media
Scenario Director Toru Osanai, Director Takefumi Terada, and Producer Yuji Shinoda answer questions from fans on the development of FINAL FANTASY XV EPISODE ARDYN PROLOGUE.
Full transcription below cut:
Q: At what point in the production of FFXV, was it decided to create an anime explaining Ardyn’s past?
Yuji: We actually had a poll in 2017 around the time EPISODE GLADIOLUS was released asking out users which character DLC everyone would like to see in the future and Ardyn became #1 in the results. Back then, it was scheduled for game DLC’s to be concluded with EPISODE IGNIS so it was decided then that we would release Ardyn in the format of an anime.
Q: What was most challenging while producing the anime? Did the cancellations of the DLCS’s affect the anime?
Yuji: In terms of challenging, as it was initially decided as only as an anime, we realized along the way we wanted to produce a game as well for our users. Since the anime is set in time 2000 years before the main game and it’s purpose was to explain Ardyn’s character, we hoped that it would also serve as a PR material for the main game. The main game was released 2 years ago so in a way, it was a way for us to communicate with our original FFXV users while showing our gratitude in a different form other than a game which was bit of a challenge for us. Although we had to send out upsetting news regarding the cancellations of the DLC’s towards the end of last year, it did not affect the content of this anime in any way.
Q: What was the main focal point for the anime?
Yuji: We wanted to show the main reasoning behind how Ardyn became who he is and why he acts how he does throughout the main game. Also, to explain why he wanted revenge against the Kingdom of Lucis. Also, in the main game it was hard to tell what Ardyn was thinking and his character was a mystery. We wanted to show a different side of Ardyn through this anime.
Q: How much creative licenses do the director and writers get on Ardyn’s backstory?
Takefumi: The anime was produced by Satellite Inc but regarding the scenario, story, and design, the FFXV production team of Luminous Productions had much of the backstory. Everything from Ardyn’s backstory, history of Kingdom of Lucis, to the story of the gods of Eos, we worked closely and together with Satellite.
Q: What was the one thing you wanted to include but couldn’t?
Toru: We really wanted to show more of the relationship between the 3 main characters (Ardyn, Somnus, and Aera). However, since the anime itself is really short, we were a bit limited in that sense. Also, we wanted to show the world 2000 years before the main game as well but limited again. So, we decided to focus on showing Ardyn’s character.
Q: What is one thing that was important for you to how in terms of Ardyn’s image from the main game?
Takefumi: As all of you know, Ardyn is the main nemesis of enemy within the main game. However, we wanted to show a complete opposite side of what he used to be. Ardyn, the savior for the people and how he slowly became what he is was out goal to show the users through both the anime and game
Q: Please explain to us the concept behind the 3 main characters in the anime?
Takefumi: Somnus’s design was based of Noctis. Thinking about the relationship between Ardyn, we wanted to represent him as a realist and a severe king. However, he became someone opposite character to Noctis. Regarding Aera, she was the only female who ever loved Ardyn. Design was made close to Luna. In the main game, during the battle against Leviathan, there is a scene where Ardyn displays great anger against Luna. I felt that making her look like Luna, it made Ardyn’s character stand out more.
Q: What is the relationship between Aera and Luna? How did Aera become an oracle herself?
Toru: Regarding the relationship of those two… Aera is the first oracle so that would make her Luna’s ancestor. We actually do not have a detailed back story as to how the first oracle became about. However, oracles are able to communicate with the gods from back then who were also looked up upon from the people.
Q: What does Somnus have such a hatred against Ardyn? What happened in the past?
Toru: This might be a bit of a spoiler to answer before watching the anime but in actuality, Somnus does not really hate Ardyn or despise Ardyn. As mentioned, Ardyn used to be a savior character for the people who was more of an idealist or dreamer. On the other hand, Somnus was more of an realist as Terada mentioned earlier and he wanted to save the world in a realistic way. Therefore, his method and way of thinking was simply different from the way from his brother, Ardyn.
Takefumi: Although, they both wanted to save the world and goals were the same, their methods were opposing which caused the conflict.
Q: What is the relationship Ardyn and Bahamut?
Toru: This is a SECRET! That is all. However, the answer to this is revealed throughout the game EPISODE ARDYN. So it would great if everyone can watch the anime then play the game.
Q: What are the birthdays and hobbies of the main characters?
Toru: This is… also a secret! No but this information has never been revealed but… Ardyn’s birthday is April 30th and his age was always stated as unknown but since its been about 2000 years… I would say he’s about 2033 years old?
Takefumi: There was also a factor where the diamond is the birthday stone which represented a strong will. So we gave all strong character’s with a strong wills an April birthday.
Toru: Moving along… His hobbies consisted of playing chess and drinking wine. Aera’s birthday is July 4th and 28 years old. Her hobbies are similar to Luna where they both like to grow flowers. Also, shown in the anime, she also has interest in archaeology.
Takefumi: Doesn’t she also like tea?
Toru: Tea… Not exactly. That’s actually Luna’s hobby. Moving along, Somnus’s birthday is May 9th and he is set to be 30 years old. His hobbies are napping and hunting.
Yuji: Didn’t Somnus and Ardyn play chess together when they were young?
Toru: Yes, they did!
Takefumi: And he used to go hunting with Gilgamesh during his childhood, right?
Toru: That is right, he used to go hunting with him and nap all the time. Just like his name.
Q: Besides Aera’s archaeology, are any of the other hobbies actually shown within the anime or game itself?
Toru: Hmm… Not for Ardyn and Somnus. Even for Aera, you don’t really see much but her hobby for flowers is the origin as to why Luna takes care of the sylleblossom flower in the main game was the concept.
Q: What was the relationship like between the 3 in their childhood?
Toru: There’s actually not much detail regarding Aera’s childhood. As for the brothers Somnus and Ardyn, it wasn’t bad at all in their childhood. As mentioned before, they would play chess together when they were young and Somnus actually looked up to Ardyn. Ardyn also took great care of his competitive little brother Somnus. So they got along really well when they were young.
Q: Is there any possibility to watch Ignis’ ancestors and Gladio’s ancestors?
Takefumi: Yeah. when are we going to get to see them?
Toru: Hmmm… Probably never? Actually though within EPISODE ARDYN, the game... Gladio’s father Clarus is featured.
Yuji: Maybe if we get enough requests and support? We may be able to?
Takefumi: Oh yeah?
Toru: How it will be released? (jokingly)
Q: Why is Ardyn’s chocobo black?
Toru: This is probably referring to the black chocobo Ardyn is riding through town 2000 years ago.
Takefumi: Yes, this is one of the key visuals we released back when the game was initially released.
Toru: This actually... Holds the key to all the secrets in EPISODE ARDYN. So. I really cannot discuss this since it will spoil everything.
Takefumi: We actually never released any infomation regarding the black chocobo’s in FFXV and kept it a secret.
Toru: No, we’re just kidding. I actually looked into it and black chocobo’s are set to be almost extinct and considered a rare species within FFXV. However, there were many of them 2000 years ago and the color black has a special meaning for the Caelum family back then. So Ardyn simply likes the color black officially. Maybe? That is all. This anime shows the side to everyone were not able to see of Ardyn in the main game. I hope this focus on Ardyn’s character will clear up many of the questions user had regarding him and I hope everyone will enjoy both the anime and the upcoming DLC game.
Takefumi: EPISODE ARDYN will be released in March! I would strongly recommend everyone to watch the anime first then play the game to get the full experience and understand Ardyn better. The gameplay is also unique and fun so I hope everyone is looking forward to the release.
Yuji: Thank you all for your continued support for FFXV! Thank you for giving up this time and opportunity as well. Moving forward, including the Ardyn anime, EPISODE ARDYN the game, we hope to also bring you guys the other stories in form or another. Thank you again for your continued support!

Get the full update below.
Introduction
Hi everyone.
If you’re reading this, you must have been sticking around for about five years.*
I want to express my gratitude for everyone that has supported and encouraged me over this time.
Thank you.
I’ve said it many many times before, but I didn’t expect the simple game I made to receive so much attention. Because of that, many interesting things have happened, and now I can even spend my time making another game.
It seems both of us received a lot of happiness from this occurrence.
If it’s okay, I would like to keep striving to do things that make both of us happy.
Let me know what you think about that.
*Since the Undertale demo released in 2013, the game has really existed for 7 years. It’s already been more than 25% of my life…
Deltarune
I will make another.
I am making a game called “Deltarune.” It is the second game in the Undertale series.
The game will be released in many “Chapters,” the first of which I released two years ago on Halloween. Since that time, I’ve been working hard to figure out the rest of the game.
However, it’s a game that’s much harder to make than Undertale.
Graphics are more complicated and several times more involved.
Systems are more complicated.
Exposes the weak points of my creative and artistic ability.
Plot is much harder to tie together (more characters, more important locations).
Significantly more content than Undertale in one playthrough (especially cutscenes).
I have only made one game ever.
Unlike Undertale, this is the type of game that would normally have many designers working on each aspect of the game.
A story writer, a composer, an audio director, a map designer, a battle designer, a minigame designer, and an overall director. Instead, all of those roles end up handled by me.
The good news is that a few months ago, I completed a significant milestone regarding the game’s design. I completed readable outlines for every chapter in the game, including first-pass dialogue for almost all the cutscenes, examples of the music, etc.
Although certain details are still hazy, the flow of the game and all major events and battles that take place are now clear.
In summary, I largely spent the past two years writing, composing, designing, and drawing. However, that’s not the whole story.
We had actually attempted to develop the game since the time too. Development started around March 2019 and a 99% work was spent on investigating engines alternate to GameMaker, which I used for Chapter 1.
Without getting into the details, I decided a few months ago to go back to GameMaker after all. It still felt like the best fit for the project. So using Chapter 1 as a base, we’ve started creating Chapter 2 since May 2020.
A lot of progress has been made since that time. I believe we can complete this chapter, content-wise, before the end of the year (not accounting for translation, bugtesting, and porting).
I feel very confident. And the strange thing is, even though we ended up using the original engine, I don’t regret the lost time, either. Not only was I still busy designing the game, but during that long period, I was able to think of many ideas that make the game’s story and characters better.
I’m glad that I’m making the Deltarune that I have now and that we are making healthy progress.
Deltarune Status Estimate
■ Chapter 2 (04.15.20 – 08.13.20)
Phase 1: Design
Main Design: 100% (dialogue, etc.)
Initial Setup: 100% (stuff involved setting up people to make the game, adding debug tools, documentation, etc.)
Phase 2: Implementation (05.01.20 ~ 08.13.20)
Art: 90%
Cutscenes: 80% (90% are started, needs 2nd pass)
Bullet Patterns: 70% (enemies are mostly completed, bosses are about 40% done, needs 2nd pass)
Non-Bullet Battle Elements: 30% (Some ACTs are done and enemies are fightable, but interactive ACTs need to be completed and polished and the bosses aren’t programmed outside of bullet patterns)
Audio: 80%
Maps: ??% most are started or placeholder, most need 2nd pass. NPC interactions are completed in all spots where written.
Other: 65%
Phase 3: Finishing
Balancing: 0%
Bugfixing: 0%
Translation: 0%
Porting: 0%
(Honestly, a lot of stuff FEELS like 80% to me, but the truth is that what’s there is quite rough now. Polish ends up taking a lot of time, so the real actual time value may be around 50% done…? We’ll see what happens. It’ll be a lesson for everybody.)
■ Chapters 3 and Beyond
Phase 1: Design
Story and General Game Progression (first-pass): 100%
Cutscene Dialogue (first-pass, lacking cutscene instructions): 95%
Map Design (textual): 70% (varies per chapter, earlier chapters totally completed)
Map Design (drawn): 0% (this takes a lot of wrist energy so I don’t do it until we start programming)
Enemy Design (conceptual): 90% (all bosses are known)
Enemy Design (bullets / visual): 80% (varies per chapter, earlier chapters totally completed)
Music (concept): 95%
Music (completed): 50%
Visual Design:BG Concept (first-pass): 75%, Important Character, Bosses (first-pass): 100%
Phase 2
Sprite Art: 20%?
Other Content Creation: 0%
Phase 3
Release Readiness: 0%
(These numbers can be somewhat deceptive though. My true design style is to reach the moment where we have to make something, then suddenly think of something different at the last minute. This is always how it’s been with me and my work. It feels like no matter how much I plan, everything comes down to what I think of at the last second…)
Team and Disability
You may have noticed from my phrasing, but yes, there is a team helping me create the game. Other than me, there are about three active team members working day-to-day, with a few other people pitching in from time to time.
Their roles of the main members are overall content implementation and organization, bullet pattern implementation (part-time), and art (Temmie). Other than designing, I still have the role of system programmer.
I’m extremely grateful to have a team helping me carry out my design especially because of my disabilities, which have also made development more difficult.
Although I have long suffered from wrist and hand pain, about five months ago my wrist was the worst it’s ever been. I could not play the piano, use the mouse, and barely could use the keyboard. I navigated everything through voice to text.
Through weightlifting, exercise, and various equipment I have been able to somewhat increase the stamina of my wrist to an extent. Various solutions have included trackball mice for each hand, using voice to text whenever possible, using a foot pedal to click the mouse, etc.
Now I can use the mouse and keyboard for a certain amount each day provided I take frequent breaks. I wish I could work without stopping. Once the world situation improves I would really like to take physical therapy again and/or investigate surgery to repair my wrist.
Future Plans
Once we finish Chapter 2, I would like to use it as the base to create future chapters from. After gaining experience from this chapter, I think making future chapters will be easier.
Part of me wonders if we could make the game faster if we increased the size of the team and did something insane like create multiple chapters in parallel. However, another part of me understands that, adding more people doesn’t guarantee that the game will be created faster if it’s not done properly. I’m already just barely avoiding becoming a bottleneck on development even with a team of this size, due to my physical limitations.
To that end, I am interested in making a list of people that could potentially help me make the game. I’m not 100% sure if I’m going to ask anyone to help, but I think if I could find just 1 person that works well with me, it’s worth asking.
Chapter 2 is proceeding at a good pace, so if we do take anyone on, it will probably only be for Chapter 3 onward. So please understand that anything you send in may not have an immediate result.
People I Am Looking For
Feel free to send in your portfolio if you have the following qualifications:
Worked in the game industry before
Worked under NDA before
Have professional references
A degree of creativity while also being okay with just following directions
Fluent in English
People I Might Actually Use
Music Transcription / Basic Arrangement (Part-Time)
I usually start making songs by playing the piano and singing. An important step after this is to take this basic outline and transcribe it into melodies and chords. Though there are not too many remaining songs to transcribe, it would still help my wrist to have someone else start this process for me. Although I know many musicians, I’m sheepish to ask for help to them, because the main role is actually just to help me compose my own music…
Helpful qualities:
Good at transcription.
Can stand listening to me sing.
Optional: can use an old version of Fruity Loops.
Bullet Pattern Programming (Part-Time)
I’m looking for someone to help me program bullet patterns into the game. These people will work from text and visual designs to create fun battles that match the feeling of the game. I already have one person helping with this, but I think a second person would help a lot. You have to be able to use Gamemaker Studio 2 to manipulate objects on the screen / okay with using pre-existing scripts to accomplish this.
Helpful qualities:
Sense of fun and understanding of player perspective and gameplay balance. This aspect is [many times] more important than programming ability.
Reliable.
Able to make patterns based off of visual/text instructions.
Fine working with a poorly made battle system.
Able to sprite bullets.
Good visual / timing sense.
Minigame Programming (Part-Time)
There are a few minigames and small interactive events in the game, which appear in and outside of battles. These could take any kind of form… who knows what I’m thinking! Have you made a game before?
Helpful qualities:
Same sense of humor as me.
Some level of spriting ability is useful.
You have to have made a game that is fun.
Ability to work together with me.
Unlikely to Hire, But Send Me Your Information Just In Case
Cutscene Programming (Part-Time)
Besides the battles, the largest amount of content in the game is definitely the cut scenes. You will have to understand Gamemaker Studio 2, but the majority of the work is simply using a scripting system that I created to make characters move around the screen. The most important quality you can have here is not programming ability but the ability to efficiently use the system in order to create scenes with a good sense of humor, timing, and emotion.
I’d strongly prefer to hire someone I know to do this because it involves the story. So I most likely won’t hire anyone else.
Helpful qualities:
Can take text instructions and impart a proper sense of timing, humor, and weight to them.
Fine working with a custom scripting system (or smart enough to make something better that makes the game easier to make).
Art (Part-Time)
Sprite art—Temmie has already drawn a massive amount of art for the game, and continues to do so. And I actually already have a few other artists that have helped me that I’m more than happy to keep working with if things become more overwhelming. So currently I actually don’t need any more artists.
However, personally, I’d really like to build up a portfolio of available pixel artists and even concept artists. It’s not as if this is the only game I will make during my life. Anyone chosen for this game needs to be able to match the style of the game, but I’m interested in seeing people with different styles as well. Knowing that I have different options can open my mind up to different creative pathways.
Helpful qualities:
Can take bad looking sketches and turn them into art that looks good (magic).
Don’t mind if your work gets completely drawn over or thrown out.
Anyone that can draw cute or cool poses is good.
Uninterested in seeing people that have an art style outside of the scope of the game.
Write (Full-Time)
Someone needs to transform into a new wrist for me.
Helpful qualities:
Flexible.
Doesn’t hurt.
Musical sense.
That’s everyone I’m looking for. The only other kind of person I might hire would be a single jack-of-all-trades type that can do any sort of things such as cutscenes, bullets, or even system programming, with a good degree of visual flair. (But if you can do those sorts of things, aren’t you busy making your own game already!?)
Anyway, I’ll show you the e-mail now. Just make sure you read these rules first:
Don’t send in e-mails about anything else!
Don’t send to other team members, Fangamer, etc. about helping out!
Got it? Then please send your information to this e-mail address:
Since Fangamer will be sorting through the e-mails for me, we’ll stop taking e-mails at the end of September so they don’t get overwhelmed. Ultimately, I’m only looking for one or two people, and to make a list of the rest of the potentially helpful people in the world.

I got a new planner!
[Image descriptions are available at the bottom of the post.]
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Image description after text because it is very long.]
This year, I’ve really been struggling with the digital planner system that’s gotten me through the past 4 years of school. Honestly, I think the fact that all I ever do anymore is stare at my laptop has made that planner less practical for me to use. So, today, I was out and about trying to find a specific size of envelope (which I did not find) and I ended up at YP Books (영풍문고), where I found this planner (the Color Point Study Planner). I honestly picked it up just because it was there and it was cute, but when I opened it I was struck by how well-organized this planner was for someone who likes to plan the way I do. To plan, I need a delicate balance of structure and leniency, because if I tip too far one way or the other, I’ll never accomplish anything.
It’s got this really cute monthly page (which can be customized for any month). You do have to write the days yourself, and as you can see by my scribbles, I momentarily forgot that not every month starts on a Sunday. However, this page is super versatile! I write my assignments and exams here and color code those days, and I use the unlabeled checklist at the bottom right to make a brief to-do list for the month. Once I finish something, it gets marked off or highlighted! I think this is a really helpful way to visualize my schedule and make sure I don’t lose track of any due dates.
Each month also comes equipped with daily pages. Once again, you do have to customize these yourself, but that’s part of what I like about it. I can skip days if I need to and I can make sure that the page handles what I need how I need it. These pages are quite complicated, but I’ll give you the basics of how I use them.
At the top, there are 3 blanks after the date. One is labelled “D-Day,” but I instead use this to label the day of the week as I find that much more useful for me, then I fill out how many hours I plan to study (I do this at the beginning of the day so that it motivates me), then I put my general goal or plan for the day to the right. Below that, in the “Check Point” space, I put the two biggest goals I have for the day task-wise. These are usually my highest-priority tasks.
Obviously, the bulk of the space is used for a checklist, which I use to outline all the tasks I need to do that day, both school and otherwise. To the right, in the schedule space, I plan my day to make sure I can get everything done that I need to get done. There’s also a space at the bottom that I use to write events and extremely important tasks (such as exams and due dates).
Overall, the point of this post is that it’s really important to find an organizational system that works for you, whether it be digital or paper. My personal suggestion for figuring out your best system is just trial and error. Unfortunately, trial and error can be quite expensive, so I’ll include below some tips to find a good system for you without breaking the bank:
Try digital first! Most digital platforms are free (or at least have free trials), so this is a great place to start to save money. It’s also a great way to figure out what elements of different systems work for you - even if digital isn’t your thing, you might realize that you prefer a to-do list over a calendar, or that you work really well with a super structured study schedule. That info can help you find a paper planner that will work well for you.
Go to the store and look at physical planners. Once you have an idea of what you’re looking for in a planner, go to a physical store (or multiple) and spend some time looking through a bunch of planners. Once again, even if you don’t like any of them, this might help give you an idea of what you do and don’t like.
Print out (or draw) planner pages. If you want to test out a style of physical planner without buying it, find an online PDF or create your own and print a few to test out. You can also draw it (just make sure to take a photo in the store so you can do so accurately) in a regular notebook for testing purposes.
Do research. There’s lots of different methods of planning schedules, keeping track of due dates, and journaling besides the typical Google calendar and to-do list or the standard paper planner. A great example is bullet journaling, which allows you to create your own planner and change it up as you want.
Eventually you’ll figure out what planning style works best for you, and you’ll find the perfect paper planner to purchase if that’s what you decide is your best option.

How to Drive Traffic to Your YouTube Channel - Video
Tumblr media
1. Have Quality and Keyword Rich Descriptions The video description is where you can better inform the search engines and users just what exactly your video is about. This will help increase the click-through-rate and thus the views, as users will know what to expect in your video.
Try to both stand-out and remain generic; you should capture interest while still trying to rank for short-tail keywords. Entice users above the fold with your descriptions and optimize them correctly for the YouTube search engine as you would with a normal SEO meta description.
Youtube video description
2. Use Descriptive and Keyword Rich Titles This is where your keyword research will come into play. A descriptive and interesting title will do two things: provide keywords for the algorithm to sort for relevancy purposes and attract users and inform them about what the video is about. To conduct keyword research, you can use typical SEO methods like using keyword planner or other keyword research tools.
YouTube keyword research
To check keyword popularity on YouTube, go to keyword planner and select YouTube search on the far right. Optimizing your video content for the right keywords will help gain organic views by informing users and the search engine just what your video is about.
track_your_profiles_leaderboard_728
3. Optimize Your Thumbnail Image Your thumbnail image, like a hero-image, can work wonders when increasing your YouTube views whether they’re on the organic results page, suggested videos section, or appearing on social media. Use high-quality images that feature readable and engaging fonts and facial-closeups, if they’re featured in your video.
Youtube video thumbnail images
Have your thumbnail be a visual correspondent to your title and description to boost your video views.
4. Use Tags YouTube video tags further help distinguish what your video content about and helps the algorithm understand what users will view when they see your video. These, along with your description and title, should reflect the core of what your video is about. Think short-tail SEO again.
YouTube video optimization tags
If you need keyword help, you can use keyword planner, as mentioned above.
5. Provide Content that Educates or Entertains or Both Your video content should provide value to the viewer; whether it’s teaching them how to do or understand something, or simply keeping them engaged and entertained. When users find your content valuable, they’ll return for more and increase the views on your other future video content.
6. Create Transcripts of Your Videos Captions or transcripts of your videos have been heavily debated as to their ability to increase your YouTube ranking. However, closed captions can help get more YouTube views as they cater to international audiences and the disabled.
Ranking well for YouTube’s organic results can increase your views immensely and provide a sustainable method of viewership traffic. Buying YouTube views may provide a quick boost in views, but it’s not a good long-term solution as behavioral analytics are more meaningful ranking factors in the eyes of YouTube’s algorithms.
Increase Views With Your Video Content The content in your video is the most important factor in deciding just how many views it will get. Good content will result in better behavioral analytics that YouTube’s algorithm will recognize and reward your video with better organic search positioning.
7. Use Guest YouTubers Similar to guest posting for blog content, guest YouTubers, industry influencers, or persons of note with their own following can do wonders for boosting your views. Similar to influencer marketing, guest YouTubing can entice your users with household industry names and provide a different and unique perspective to your industry’s sphere.
Offer a link to one of their videos or websites in your description and you can form a beneficial relationship built on reciprocity.
8. Piggyback off of Viral Trends Create video content that piggybacks off of already existing viral trends. There’s already a built in market desire to view content within the context of a viral phenomenon, so you should tap into it.
A good example is all the YouTube videos that were made in response to the United Airlines PR fiasco.
unamo social media YouTube video mention
It’s not always easy or possible to tie your video content in with ongoing trends; however, if you can find a clever way to do it, you can boost your views on YouTube with the help of a hungry public looking for more trending contextual content.
Pro-tip
IF you want to increase views on your videos in just few hour you will see the awesome result

UKAD supplied no aid to Webster, although its very own expert suggested that contamination may have been a concern. Webster was forced to spend his life savings in attempting to uncover the resource of the ostarine, and was approved with the complete 4 year ban for not instantly confessing an ADRV he suggested was not his fault. It would certainly show up that Jimmy has actually been fortunate that USADA was prepared to go above and beyond, and resource its own bathtub in order to sustain his assertion that the supplement concerned included ostarine. Not all anti-doping organisations have taken the exact same technique. British weightlifter Sonny Webster, who competed at the Rio 2016 Olympics, was approved with a four year ban by UK Anti-Doping in December in 2015.

What's more, SARMS are consisted of on the World Anti-Doping Agency's Prohibited List as materials that are forbidden at all times, rather than simply in-competition. Nevertheless, this does not always suggest that they are totally risk-free to utilize - as well as doesn't mean that their validity might not be challenged in the future. On on-line forums, customers report strength gains, however they also often consult concerning concerns such as high blood pressure, skin rashes as well as erectile dysfunction. Troubles with eye-sight appear to be especially usual; andarine is reported to provide customers' vision an environment-friendly or yellow tinge. In you can find more information on peptides uk's Australia bpc157 how does it work here. , it is always crucial to keep as much muscular tissue mass as possible during the procedure. The most effective sarms stack combination for cutting would certainly be ostarine (mk-2866), andarine, as well as cardarine (gw ). Rad 140, ligandrol, yk-11, as well as mk-677 are great sarms to pile for bulking, specifically if you're trying to acquire toughness, too.
Negative Effects Of Sarms.
That most preferred stack makes up cadarine, ostarine and also andarine. If you are a newbie or someone who is just getting going with utilizing sarms, then this is mosting likely to be the stack for you. The typical muscular tissue gains for this pile are around 7 to 10 lbs over an 8-week period. Twp 4way represents the supreme done in one sarm stack in a solitary product.
It is extremely advised that drugs like Clomid as well as Tamoxifen are completely understood before taking into consideration. OTC PCT are likewise readily available as well as are much stronger as well as efficient than the older generation used to be. Sadly, the average differs so much with S23 it is hard to give any type of good indicator without a lot of presumptions.
Blood Sugar Level Arrays.
As an enlightened assumption, it most likely would run out somebody's system within 12-weeks and also after a detox. Compared to tablet or capsule steroids SARMs are not methylated and consequently, not toxic to the liver. SARMs adverse effects can differ for each and every type of SARM and is commonly dosage reliant, implying the higher the dose the higher the risk of negative effects taking place.

Differences in ligand-specific receptor conformation and also protein-- protein interactions can result in tissue-specific genetics policy, because of possible adjustments in communications with ARE, coregulators or transcription elements. I made use of one more provider for caps previously however this fluid product is by far remarkable IMHO. SARMs are excellent for individuals that would like to preserve muscular tissues whilst on a cut.

Nevertheless, it's the dose of each careful androgen receptor modulator that matters most, together with the details chemicals used to create it. Sarms are similar to steroids, yet they are not one as well as the same. Both work by binding to your androgen receptors, setting off changes in your dna which boost your muscular tissues' capacity to expand. While sarms do possess anabolic properties, these compounds are ruled out anabolic steroids. In fact, the many benefits of sarms are because of that that sarms are not in fact anabolic steroids.
Later on in the short article we will damage down the prospective side effects for each SARM. Body building Forums can likewise be a wonderful place for some great details; nonetheless, they can also be a terrible location for some amusing fiction based off a reputable research study (A.K.A broscience). Numerous thousands of users across the world record results with marginal or no side effects from several different SARMs. However a smaller sized minority of users have actually experienced some negative effects which vary from person to person as everyone is various. Because of this SARMs may be very efficient for muscle losing conditions such as weakening of bones, AIDS and also cancer cells related losing. peptides-uk information BPC157 Switzerland free trial might additionally end up being a reliable oral male contraceptive treatment. Products and supplements available by Killer Nutrition Online Limited are not intended to diagnose, treat, cure, or prevent any illness or significant disease.
Specifically throughout a caloric deficit, these two sarms can help you keep your muscle mass. Hey there everyone, i feel like i obtained ripped on a sarms three-way stack. I acquired cardarine gw by armed sporting activities nutrition, ostarine by bio nutrition and also s-4 andarine presently on week 5 and do not really feel spunk. Andarine is frequently stacked with lgd-4033, rad-140, sr-9009, yk-11, mk-677 for extra noticable muscle development and also boosted operating. Such stacks permit us to get impressive quantities of lean muscular tissues in a brief period, along with to obtain more muscle mass definiti. With numerous published human trials under its belt, rad-140 is just one of the best-studied sarms. While discussing reducing and bulking, sarms triple stack acquires a stand place that produces anticipated results in an efficient way.
Imuscle Sarms Uk Reviews.
Nevertheless, in the In-Vitro researches YK-11 did bind as well as activate to the AR but was only found to be a partial agonist of the AR. YK-11 did reveal to boost the release of follistatin, which is a crucial protein for muscle mass development as it strongly antagonized myostatin.
Tumblr media
The fascination for sarms comes from the theory that they can create results the same to anabolic steroids without the adverse effects. Well, as strange as it appears, a minimum of, part of that holds true. Yet, they show a strong fondness for androgen receptors in bone as well as muscle cells only. This is not the very first time the usa has actually been pushed better to banning sarms. If you're familiar, the sarms manage act made it's method with congress starting as early as 2018. Sarms are similar to steroids in numerous means, so they share a number of the very same adverse effects.
This can or else prove to be quite difficult as it calls for staying clear of squandering muscle. Your PCT can be the difference in between having negative effects and also not. SERMS or Discerning Estrogen Receptor modulators are one of the most widely known unlawful PCT medications due their performance but likewise, sadly, a few of the adverse effects that come with them.
Acquire steroids, peptides and also pct from ausroids welcome to ausroids, your ideal online source for getting anabolic steroids, peptides, and also post-cycle treatment supplements in australia. Sarms are selective androgen receptor modulators which is presently thought about more secure as well as much less hazardous than anabolic steroids. Type sensible, sarms fall into 2 primary classifications, one that is steroidal and the 2nd one is non-steroidals. Steroidal sarms were found about 70 years ago with no usage for human problems except those with dire demands.
What does LGD 4033 do?
LGD-4033 is a novel nonsteroidal, oral SARM that binds to androgen receptor with high affinity (Ki of ∼1 nM) and selectivity. In animal models, LGD-4033 has demonstrated anabolic activity in the muscle, anti-resorptive and anabolic activity in bone, and robust selectivity for muscle versus prostate.
Negative effects of RAD-140 are mostly unidentified due the absence of human tests and was only initial explained in 2010 by Miller et alia, created by Distance Health. It is widely approved that adverse effects are likewise dose reliant. First of all, Cadarine is not a Careful Androgen Receptor Modulator however instead is a Peroxisome Proliferator-Activated Receptor Delta receptor agonist. It is commonly classified or grouped with SARMs from a sales and also advertising and marketing viewpoint. The receptor plays an important role in human metabolic rate and aids regulated genetics that help manage the transport and also oxidation of fats.
Some sarms such as cardarine and also sr9009 are best for cutting, and other sarms such as ostarine and also s4 are versatile, as well as can be used to either burn fat or develop muscle. The beauty of this stack and sarms as a whole is their convenience in just how they can be used to accommodate various desires and goals. I am a solid proponent with the use of the three-way stack due to the fact that it permits an individual to add quality and clean amounts of lean muscle while still being to able to go down body fat. The greatest done in one sarm pile of mk677, mk2866, cardarine & lgd. This stack is excellent for a person who wishes to obtain lean and much more muscular without the healing issues of utilizing hormonal agents.
Drug testing for SARMs is currently typical technique in sports however was unqualified as late as 2016. Ostarine has a half-life of 24-hour or 23.8 hours to be exact nonetheless no study can be found that definitively shows the discovery time.
Ostarine is classed as an anabolic representative by the World Anti-Doping Company, which reported a low 28 unfavorable logical searchings for across sporting activity in its 2016 Screening Numbers Report.
It assists body builders and other athletes make faster gains from their training, with its cutting and also bulking results.
It is a Discerning Androgen Receptor Modulator created as Enobosarm by pharmaceutical business GTX to deal with conditions involving muscle mass wastefulness or osteoporosis.
It additionally increases your stamina as well as muscular tissue mass, increases bone density as well as assists speed the recovery process after intense strength training.
SARMs, or discerning androgen receptor modulators, are medicines that affect muscle development, typically used in the muscle building area.
Piling develops a synergistic method to raising lean muscle mass whilst decreasing body fat.
Wallhead is a UFC competitor, so is regulated by USADA, despite being based in the UK ... Regrettably, none of this aids Jimmy Wallhead, who was blindsided through use of a supplement that really did not checklist ostarine as an active ingredient on the label. Wallhead has actually been authorized to the UFC, which is not a signatory to the World Anti-Doping Code, for concerning 18 months. USADA agreed to run the UFC's anti-doping programme on 1 July 2015, an agreement that was applauded by WADA. Unless you are a chemist or an anti-doping official, the possibilities are that you will not have actually become aware of ostarine. Neither had Jimmy Wallhead, a Ultimate Battling Champion boxer based in Loughborough, UK. Yet he was sanctioned with a 9 month ban after a supplement he had actually utilized was located to consist of the substance. The mechanistic basis of the cells careful actions of SARMs is poorly understood, although a number of systems have been recommended.
4way consists of ostarine, mk-677, ligandrol and cardarine in one item - so you can expect magnificent cause a short timescale, while likewise conserving cash compared to purchasing them individually As well as I VERY SUGGEST THEM, 4 way sarm stack. Discerning androgen receptor modulators are made use of by bodybuilders and powerlifters to maximise fat loss, boost muscular tissue mass, as well as improve body toughness. They are additionally made use of to refurbish injuries, boost muscular tissue as well as bone toughness, and also improve the sense of well-being. Some body builders additionally use SARMs in between anabolic steroid cycles, prohormone cycles, and testosterone cycle for post cycle treatment or as more secure choices to these compounds. Unlike anabolic steroids, which bind to androgen receptors in many tissues throughout the body, private sarms selectively bind androgen receptors in certain cells, but not in others. Discerning androgen receptor modulators-- or sarms for short-- are a relatively brand-new group of medications that have the ability to give every one of the benefits of anabolic steroids without many of the adverse effects.
There is no requirement for healing supplements when using these 2 sarms given that they do not act upon the body the same way hormonal agents would certainly. Despite it being a rather mild sarm, it's in fact truly solid. You will see a great deal of researchers pile andarine with ostarine to produce a synergic impact.
It deserves keeping in mind at a PCT is probably required due to its capacity to lower FSH, LH and Testosterone levels. When S23 was provided to male rats it led to a 100% infertility rate. But the majority of interestingly sperm count went back to normal after ending up S23, as well as rats resumed mating at 100% maternity prices. However, too much S23 created sperm matters to turn around the first result and also supported sperm manufacturing. Because of this we are unable to categorise its impacts and also potential outcomes. YK-11 to start with is not a SARM, take a look at our post on YK-11 for an extra detailed testimonial. YK-11 was regretfully mislabeled as a SARM when as a matter of fact it is a new artificial steroid that has just had actually In-Vitro research studies done on it.

Explaining my blog
The amazing Anni @whatagreatproblemtohave tagged me to do this. Thank you, it was so fun 🤗🌺
Header:
I made this TPWK rainbow collage while bored in quarantine, and one day there was sunlight and shadows dancing directly over it. So I filmed it and made a gif out of it, but honestly the result is not as pretty as it was irl.
Icon:
Louis (aka the love of my life) laughing while playing table tennis during the 2017 Observer photoshoot. Actually the mobile version might still be my previous icon (which was Astronaut DMD Larry), but I refuse to use the mobile app :)
Description:
idk how much I need to explain, but let’s see
Emmanuelle/E. because you can use either of them :)
“stuck in Canada” is obviously a reference to the current lockdown situation, but it sounds more dramatic than it actually is. Basically I’ve been living in Canada for the past 3 years because I’m studying here, but my program is coming to an end in a few months, and I’m still not sure if I’ll be able/want to go back to France then
“stuck in the 1d fandom for the foreseeable future”: as Harry would say, it’s pretty self-explanatory. But for those of you who don’t know, I only got into 1d at the beginning of the year, so I’m definitely still in that honeymoon phase, which was probably amplified by being in self-isolation and deciding to create a blog. Oops 😳
“Ace in every way”: because I’m ace, but I also try to be an ace human, as the British would say 😝
and then a link to my AO3 profile (I’m writing Larry fics there)
Content:
anything 1d related with a strong emphasis on Louis and Larry, quite a lot of Harry/Zayn/Liam/Ziam/Zouis as well. I know there’s not enough Niall content and I apologize in advance to any Niall stans out there 😔 Otherwise I follow a few BBC Merlin accounts so you’ll sometimes see me reblog Merlin stuff, and other TV/film/music stuff as well. Plus, like Ani, more political stuff and also queer-related content when I come across it on my dash. And sometimes I’ll pop off about my wip or fics I’m reading.
Background colour:
turquoise green but I think I’ll change it back to lavender
Text colour:
white, which is why I’d like to change my background colour. right now they’re clashing
Url meaning:
“quel sentiment” is supposed to be the french translation of “what a feeling”, which is my favourite 1d song. But I realized with horror a few weeks ago that a better translation would have been “quelle sensation”. But it’s too late now and I quite like my url the way it is 🤷‍♀️
Blog title meaning:
"everybody needs someone around”
as I said What A Feeling is my favourite 1d song and this line has always stuck with me. I think it’s quite a nice reminder to seek out connection with other people, especially during lockdown. And in a way this blog has allowed me to do that because I’ve met so many great people ever since I created it a few months ago, so thank you folks 🥰
(also i made a deal with myself that I’d get this line tattooed if 1d does something for their anniversary 😳)

I’m adding this section to explain some of the more obscure tags I’m using 😳
“kju” means queue (I study linguistics and [kju] would be the phonetic transcription of the word 🙄)
“solune” is my Larry tag because “soleil”= sun and “lune”=moon, therefore “solune”=🌞🌜=those 2 idiots
“all the love”: I’m using this one to tag all the posts that feature some of the boys interacting together, if it’s not ot5/ot4/Larry
“otfp” stands for One True Friendship Pairing and that’s my Zouis tag 😔
I think everything else is, once again, pretty self-explanatory 😝

UKAD used no help to Webster, although its own analyst suggested that contamination may have been a problem. Webster was compelled to spend his life cost savings in attempting to uncover the source of the ostarine, and was approved with the complete four year ban for not immediately confessing an ADRV he argued was not his mistake. It would show up that Jimmy has been fortunate that USADA was prepared to go above and beyond, as well as source its own tub in order to sustain his assertion that the supplement concerned contained ostarine. Not all anti-doping organisations have actually taken the same technique. British weightlifter Sonny Webster, that completed at the Rio 2016 Olympics, was approved with a 4 year ban by UK Anti-Doping in December last year.

Nonetheless, it's the dose of each selective androgen receptor modulator that matters most, in addition to the certain chemicals used to create it. Sarms resemble steroids, but they are not one as well as the same. Both job by binding to your androgen receptors, setting off modifications in your dna which raise your muscle mass' capability to grow. While sarms do have anabolic homes, these compounds are not considered anabolic steroids. Actually, the several advantages of sarms are because of that fact that sarms are not in fact anabolic steroids.
Later in the write-up we will certainly break down the prospective side effects for each and every SARM. Body building Forums can additionally be a fantastic location for some amazing info; nonetheless, they can also be a dreadful area for some hilarious fiction based off a legitimate research study (A.K.A broscience). Numerous countless users across the globe report results with minimal or no adverse effects from numerous different SARMs. Yet a smaller minority of users have experienced some negative effects which differ from person to person as every person is different. Due to this SARMs might be extremely effective for muscle mass wasting conditions such as osteoporosis, AIDS and cancer cells related wasting. Particularly during a calorie deficiency, these 2 sarms can help you keep your muscle mass. Hello there everyone, i seem like i got torn on a sarms triple pile. I bought cardarine gw by armed sporting activities nutrition, ostarine by bio nourishment as well as s-4 andarine presently on week 5 as well as do not feel spunk. Andarine is usually piled with lgd-4033, rad-140, sr-9009, yk-11, mk-677 for a lot more noticable muscle growth and also improved functioning. Such heaps enable us to obtain remarkable amounts of lean muscles in a short duration, as well as to get more muscle mass definiti. With multiple released human tests under its belt, rad-140 is among the best-studied sarms. While talking about cutting and bulking, sarms three-way pile gets a stand location that generates anticipated results in a reliable method.

Nevertheless, in the In-Vitro studies YK-11 did bind and activate to the AR however was only located to be a partial agonist of the AR. YK-11 did reveal to stimulate the launch of follistatin, which is an essential healthy protein for muscle growth as it highly annoyed myostatin.

The attraction for sarms comes from the concept that they can produce results similar to anabolic steroids without the side effects. Well, as strange as it seems, a minimum of, component of that is true. Yet, they show a strong fondness for androgen receptors in bone and also muscle cells just. This is not the first time the United States has been pressed better to prohibiting sarms. If you know, the sarms regulate act made it's means with congress beginning as early as 2018. Sarms resemble steroids in lots of means, so they share a lot of the same adverse effects.
Various Kinds Of Sarms & What They Do.
This can otherwise show to be fairly hard as it calls for avoiding losing muscle. Your PCT can be the distinction in between having side effects and also not. Purchase steroids, peptides and pct from ausroids welcome to ausroids, your ideal online resource for purchasing anabolic steroids, peptides, and also post-cycle therapy supplements in australia. Sarms are careful androgen receptor modulators which is presently taken into consideration safer and also less harmful than anabolic steroids. Type sensible, sarms come under 2 major categories, one that is steroidal as well as the second one is non-steroidals. Steroidal sarms were found regarding 70 years ago with no usage for human problems other than those with dire needs.
Adverse effects of RAD-140 are mostly unknown due the absence of human tests as well as was just first defined in 2010 by Miller et alia, established by Distance Health and wellness. It is widely approved that negative effects are likewise dose reliant. Firstly, Cadarine is not a Selective Androgen Receptor Modulator yet instead is a Peroxisome Proliferator-Activated Receptor Delta receptor agonist. It is frequently classified or grouped with SARMs from a sales as well as marketing perspective. The receptor plays a vital role in human metabolism and aids regulated genetics that assist take care of the transport as well as oxidation of fatty acids.
Some sarms such as cardarine and sr9009 are best for cutting, and also various other sarms such as ostarine and also s4 are versatile, as well as can be utilized to either shed fat or develop muscle. The elegance of this stack as well as sarms as a whole is their adaptability in just how they can be utilized to suit different desires and also objectives. Buy best quality peptides Direct Norway am a strong proponent with using the three-way pile since it permits a user to include top quality and also clean amounts of lean muscle while still being to able to drop body fat. The greatest done in one sarm pile of mk677, mk2866, cardarine & lgd. This pile is excellent for a person that wants to get lean and more muscular without the healing problems of making use of hormones.
Medicine screening for SARMs is now common practice in sports yet was unqualified as late as 2016. Ostarine has a half-life of 24 hr or 23.8 hrs to be exact nevertheless no research study can be discovered that definitively reveals the detection time.
Ostarine is classed as an anabolic agent by the Globe Anti-Doping Agency, which reported a reduced 28 adverse logical findings across sporting activity in its 2016 Screening Numbers Report.
It helps bodybuilders as well as other athletes make faster gains from their training, with its reducing and bulking impacts.
It is a Selective Androgen Receptor Modulator established as Enobosarm by pharmaceutical company GTX to deal with conditions entailing muscle wastage or osteoporosis.
It likewise raises your strength and also muscle mass, enhances bone density and assists speed up the recovery process after intense stamina training.
SARMs, or careful androgen receptor modulators, are medicines that influence muscle mass development, frequently used in the muscle building community.
Piling produces a synergistic approach to raising lean muscle mass whilst lowering body fat.
Wallhead is a UFC boxer, so is controlled by USADA, in spite of being based in the UK ... However, which programs of this assists Jimmy Wallhead, who was blindsided with use of a supplement that really did not checklist ostarine as a component on the label. Wallhead has been authorized to the UFC, which is not a signatory to the World Anti-Doping Code, for concerning 18 months. USADA agreed to run the UFC's anti-doping program on 1 July 2015, an arrangement that was complimented by WADA. Unless you are a drug store or an anti-doping official, the possibilities are that you will not have become aware of ostarine. Neither had Jimmy Wallhead, a Ultimate Battling Championship competitor based in Loughborough, UK. Yet he was approved with a nine month restriction after a supplement he had actually made use of was discovered to contain the material. The mechanistic basis of the cells discerning activities of SARMs is badly recognized, although numerous devices have actually been proposed.
4way consists of ostarine, mk-677, ligandrol and also cardarine in one product - so you can anticipate amazing cause a short timescale, while additionally saving cash contrasted to getting them individually And I EXTREMELY ADVISE THEM, 4 way sarm pile. Careful androgen receptor modulators are utilized by bodybuilders and powerlifters to increase fat loss, increase muscular tissue mass, as well as boost body toughness. They are also used to fix up injuries, boost muscular tissue and also bone toughness, and also enhance the sense of well-being. Some body builders also utilize SARMs in between anabolic steroid cycles, prohormone cycles, as well as testosterone cycle for post cycle treatment or as much safer alternatives to these substances. Unlike anabolic steroids, which bind to androgen receptors in lots of cells all over the body, individual sarms precisely bind androgen receptors in certain tissues, but not in others. Careful androgen receptor modulators-- or sarms for short-- are a rather brand-new classification of drugs that have the capacity to offer every one of the advantages of anabolic steroids without many of the side effects.
There is no need for healing supplements when utilizing these 2 sarms considering that they don't act on the body the same way hormones would. In spite of it being a fairly mild sarm, it's actually truly strong. You will see a lot of researchers pile andarine with ostarine to develop a synergic impact.
It deserves keeping in mind at a PCT is possibly needed as a result of its ability to decrease FSH, LH as well as Testosterone degrees. When S23 was offered to male rats it caused a 100% infertility rate. Yet the majority of surprisingly sperm matter returned to regular after finishing S23, and also rats resumed mating at 100% pregnancy rates. Nevertheless, excessive S23 caused sperm counts to turn around the first result and sustained sperm manufacturing. Because of this we are unable to categorise its results and also prospective outcomes. YK-11 to start with is not a SARM, look into our short article on YK-11 for an extra in depth evaluation. YK-11 was sadly mislabeled as a SARM when in fact it is a new artificial steroid that has just had In-Vitro researches done on it.

via Politics – FiveThirtyEight
Welcome to a special edition of FiveThirtyEight’s politics chat. The transcript below has been lightly edited.
sarah (Sarah Frostenson, politics editor): Earlier today, President Trump tweeted that the 2020 election should be delayed “until people can properly, securely and safely vote.”
Postponing the election, of course, is not something the president can legally do. But it’s also kind of besides the point. Trump has already been fighting to delegitimize the results come November, claiming that voting by mail can lead to mass voter fraud.
So let’s dive into that. How would you describe Trump’s efforts to throw November’s results into question? He did something similar in 2016 when facing Hillary Clinton. How is this different?
clare.malone (Clare Malone, senior political writer): Well, in many ways it’s exactly what Trump was doing in 2016. It’s just that he’s president now. And thus, his words are even more damaging (and they were already very damaging in 2016).
geoffrey.skelley (Geoffrey Skelley, elections analyst): There’s also a very important distinction here. Before, Trump was just a candidate casting doubt on the election, but now he’s a sitting president doing that.
julia_azari (Julia Azari, political science professor at Marquette University and FiveThirtyEight contributor): I’d characterize this as an exercise in control and influence over his party and the news cycle. Everyone is forced to respond to what he says, even if they’re not responding positively. Trump isn’t effective at that many aspects of the job, but he’s pretty effective at agenda control.
clare.malone: I would also say that calling for the delay of the actual vote feels VERY dictatorial in nature. Like, we’ve perversely gotten used to the “fake votes,” “fake news” stuff. But encouraging a change in the election date feels sort of explicitly over a line.
sarah: And to ask a somewhat obvious question — but one that has to be asked — this is another unprecedented, norm-defying and democratic-value jeopardizing moment, right? To put it another way, has another sitting president ever done this?
julia_azari: I’m always nervous about the “never” question with past presidents, but yeah, most presidents have not been willing to take on all the formal rules, the legal system and other branches of government while in office. Congress — which has the power to change the date of an election — used to be stronger, too, and there was no Twitter. My go-to example for this is we still had a presidential election in 1864, during the Civil War.
geoffrey.skelley: And in modern times, incumbents who have lost reelection have exited office without too much of a fuss. Take George H.W. Bush and Jimmy Carter, or if we go further back, Herbert Hoover. Granted, incumbents don’t often lose. So it’s important to note that each of those incumbents lost decisively, meaning there wasn’t much to stand on even if they had wanted to fight the result. But it’s not like Gerald Ford created a stir in 1976 when he lost narrowly.
julia_azari: Candidates have also conceded even when the election was a mess. See Al Gore in 2000, Samuel Tilden in 1876.1
sarah: But on this question of actually changing the election date. How much power does Trump have to do that?
clare.malone: He does not have the power to change the date of the election.
julia_azari: None. It’s up to Congress, and elections are administered by the states.
clare.malone: Here’s my question, though: What happens if Trump refuses to leave the White House on Jan. 20, and there are no official election results at that point?
Like, in that dire scenario (Trump not leaving, no clear winner) does House Speaker Nancy Pelosi become president and someone has to haul him out of the building?
geoffrey.skelley: If for some reason the Electoral College hasn’t acted or the electoral votes haven’t been certified by Congress, Trump’s term ends on Jan. 20, according to the 20th Amendment. So there’d be an acting president, who would be the Speaker of the House per the order set out by the Presidential Succession Act — assuming congressional elections occurred.
But of course, that’s how it’s written, not how it might go.
sarah: Did someone mention
Tumblr media
the 20th amendment
Tumblr media
?
julia_azari: I keep imagining this scenario, and I have to say, I have a hard time imagining that Trump refuses to leave office. I don’t want to be complacent, but like a lot of people on Twitter, Trump seems to be comfortable tweeting out bold ideas and not as great at standing firm under political pressure.
So as I see it, there would be a couple of components needed for this to actually happen. There would be the political pressure — what are advisors, including Jared and Ivanka, telling him to do? This would help us understand if there are people who have influence over Trump who have some interest in seeing the system remain intact and legitimate.
The second thing would be the actual formal power — does the Secret Service force him out? Does the military gets involved? These are wild scenarios.
I would be surprised if these institutions don’t have plans for this somewhere, even if they are not publicly known.
geoffrey.skelley: Not to take things down an even darker road, but in this scenario, I think it’s important to consider how other institutions like the military act and how the president’s supporters behave in the face of attempts to delegitimize the election results.
clare.malone: Totally. I think that’s where many people’s minds go, too. And as a country, I think we are deeply uncomfortable (and rightly so) with the military being involved with a power transition. I mean, I personally find it incredibly chilling to consider.
geoffrey.skelley: I’ve seen Seven Days In May. Great movie but, uh yeah, disturbing.
But it’s a sign of the times when you have Biden actually saying he thinks the military would escort Trump out of the White House if he refused to leave.
sarah: Because that’s the thing, as you’re all saying, there are mechanisms via the 20th amendment to ensure Trump leaves office. But there’s still a very real question of how some of this would actually be enforced if it came to this, right?
julia_azari: Exactly. The 20th amendment was ratified to shorten the period between the presidential election in November and the inauguration, which had been in March. There was growing instability around the time it was ratified, after the 1932 election, and that’s some of what it intended to deal with, but it wasn’t really designed with this problem in mind.
I’m trying to stake out the ground that acknowledges a lot of people won’t have much incentive to let Trump violate the rules in this way.
clare.malone: Julia, when you say that a lot of people won’t have incentive to let Trump act contrary to the rules, whom are you thinking of?
julia_azari: I guess I’m thinking of people who might want to run for president later.
clare.malone: Republicans?
julia_azari: Or make money off the Trump brand. This includes his kids, and yeah, other Republicans.
clare.malone: That is, people with sway over him. Got it.
julia_azari: Military leaders, too, as we saw many of them push back after the D.C. protesters incident in June.
sarah: So let’s talk about the other big doomsday scenario here: The results aren’t considered legitimate. What are the signs that that idea is already taking root?
julia_azari: That’s a good way to frame that, but I’m not sure there are signs that it’s taking root any more than it’s sorta been lurking in the conversation since 2016 — and even before.
geoffrey.skelley: In the face of COVID-19, states are expanding absentee voting and, in some cases, vote-by-mail. But the president is making the case that mailed ballots are illegitimate and highly vulnerable to fraud — this is not true, of course, but by casting aspersions, he’s setting up the potential for delegitimizing the results as they come in, on and after Election Day. And the after part is probably what really matters, especially if the election is close.
clare.malone: Yeah, I was going to say, we’ve spent the past 4 to 5 years conditioning a certain segment of the population to distrust most everything in American life, unless it comes from the president’s mouth.
Someone shared this 2017 survey that found that around half of Republicans would be ok with delaying the 2020 election. Granted, the question was framed around whether people would support delaying the election to make sure people weren’t voting illegally (a big claim of Trump’s in 2016). But I still thought that was surprising.
It’s especially striking when you get to 2020, and the questions revolve around the pandemic. I was shocked to see, for instance, the share of Republicans and Democrats who were willing to delay the election because of the pandemic (roughly 39 percent of Americans supported delaying the election, according to that survey from April).
sarah: Yeah … it is mind boggling. That finding is also at least somewhat corroborated in this paper FiveThirtyEight contributor Lee Drutman published with the Voter Study Group earlier this year. In an examination of democracy in the U.S., Drutman and his coauthors found that both Republicans and Democrats were open to their preferred presidential candidate “rejecting the legitimacy of the election if they claim credible evidence of illegal voting or foreign interference.” And in that vein, 29 percent of Republicans said it would be appropriate for Trump “to refuse to leave office because he claims that he has credible evidence of illegal voting.”
Tumblr media
julia_azari: One quibble with that study, though, knowing I have the utmost respect for Lee and his coauthors, is that each scenario lays out a justification for delaying the election, which I think makes it harder to say no. And I think people’s willingness to tolerate this in practice is conditional on their evaluation of that evidence, the credibility of the claims and the person making the claims. (E.g., Trump, who isn’t very popular.)
clare.malone: Totally fair.
I was pretty shocked in general to see how amenable people were to changing this very foundational thing! Even with the reasonings the survey questions provided them.
julia_azari: I was, too, but I think it’s not unreasonable for people to have limits on how much they trust elections if they think those elections were not administered fairly.
geoffrey.skelley: And if the election is close and a state or two is in doubt, any questions about administration could become explosive. See: the 2000 election.
julia_azari: Right. It’s actually amazing how explosive that wasn’t. But things are different now — I wonder how this plays out if we flip it around.
Let’s say Trump wins.
(I mean, this sorta already happened in 2016. Trump won, yet he went right ahead and tried to delegitimize parts of an election he had won.)
But let’s say it happens again, and he wins narrowly once again? Who questions the results? And would that be the right thing to do?
geoffrey.skelley: Yes, I wanted to bring this up! Trump said there were at least 3 million illegal votes in an election he won — conveniently undoing Clinton’s popular vote margin. And then he set up a task force to investigate fraud after he took office. It found nothing.
julia_azari: But there will likely be this question of “credible evidence,” as they cite in that Voter Study group paper. What if Trump wins, and people were standing in hours-long lines in Black neighborhoods in Ohio?
In other words, I think there will be a question of how much skepticism about elections is reasonable, and how much is chaos?
clare.malone: I think there is just going to be skepticism about this election, full stop.
geoffrey.skelley: I would not discount opponents of Trump taking to the streets in that scenario. A recent simulation by a group of experts about what could happen in these sorts of scenarios did not bring me much comfort. They found that every scenario — Trump winning or losing but someone defying the result — ended in street-level violence and political gridlock.
sarah: Oof. It’s interesting to me, though, that the desire to delegitimize results isn’t purely a Republican thing, as that Voter Study paper found. Democrats also showed signs of also being willing to reject the legitimacy of the election if it helps their preferred candidate.
clare.malone: Stacey Abrams’s non-concession concession speech in 2018 provided an interesting template for a potential Biden response (in case of a loss to Trump).
Though I do think Biden is such a conventional politician and institutionalist that he wouldn’t respond in the same way Abrams did, justified or not.
sarah: Yeah and Biden obviously isn’t waging a campaign of disinformation in the way that Trump is either. But perhaps one unintended effect of all this is, to Clare’s point, that skepticism of the election (depending on its margin) is going to be rampant.
julia_azari: Although Biden seems like … truly angry at times about the Trump presidency. It’s not obvious what the institutionalist move is in that scenario, IMO.
clare.malone: A good point!
julia_azari: I think there’s a strong possibility that skepticism is persistent and embedded in Trumpist ideology and among his followers, but not that widespread if the election is not close.
clare.malone: I mean, let’s go back to 2016.
If Trump had lost, we were all preparing for the launch of Trump TV, a perch from which he would rail for the impeachment of President Clinton.
I can sort of see something similar happening if Trump loses (unless, of course, he’s too tired to start the Trump TV experiment!)
geoffrey.skelley: OANN would love to have him.
julia_azari: Again, I don’t want to be complacent. I spend way too much time on politics Twitter. I spend all my time on politics Twitter.
But if Biden wins by a lot and Trump tweets a bunch, most Americans will just go on about their lives. That’s sorta how 2000 played out, and that was obviously really close and subject to questions, too.
geoffrey.skelley: Thing is, I can’t imagine Trump conceding in a 2000-esque situation in the way Gore eventually did.
clare.malone: Of course, 2000 is the election that a lot of people point to as the start of mistrust in elections as institutions. And like, the era of “voter fraud” alarmism really ramped up under George W. Bush.
julia_azari: But the angry minority has demonstrated that it can drive politics and policy to a great degree. So I don’t want to be complacent, but I do want to be specific in my fears.
clare.malone: So you could say people went on with their lives, but there were corrosive effects.
julia_azari: If he loses, I sometimes imagine that people around Trump will say, “People will say nice things about you if you do a good concession speech,” and so he does. But it’s not encouraging that that’s what it might come to.
clare.malone: Right, the integrity of democratic institutions might come down to a pep talk from “Javanka?”
sarah: So at the outset of this chat, I asked how Trump’s tweet to postpone the election was different from what he’s already done to try and delegitimize November’s result. And we’ve also pointed out that there have been prior points in American history where voters have mistrusted election results.
But I think given the abnormal aspects of Trump’s presidency, it’s easy to point to historical comparisons without really probing whether the moment we’re in doesn’t have a historical comparison, as historian Rick Perlstein did in his tweet, telling the media he didn’t want to do more interviews on how this moment might compare to 1968.
julia_azari: I think Perlstein is right, but I also think that we should be precise about how abnormal politics interacts with normal politics, because that has been the story of the Trump presidency IMO.
clare.malone: So, I mean, I take Rick’s point in this tweet; there’s this instinct that we have to comfort ourselves with history (i.e., American democracy has weathered much worse) but I do think that we sometimes dwell a bit in history without facing the new challenges that Trump presents us.
We sort of have to respect the new paradigm that’s been created and understand that there are limits to what history can teach us in this particular case; i.e., Twitter, plus Trump, plus 20 years of diminishing electoral trust.
geoffrey.skelley: It’s interesting that people would comfort themselves with history — I take little comfort from it. We’ve been on the brink before with the 1876 election, for instance.
julia_azari: I think that’s absolutely true. I don’t see history as a comfort but rather as a guide to how much luck and skill it takes to maneuver through this stuff.
I also think history is helpful because it shows what’s not normal. (And what shouldn’t be, but is.)
