Eat your Konpeito before Tonbokiri takes it

Have you ever heard about konpeito? Yes, a sweet treat like mostly candy and this sweet is popular in Japan.

About 16th century, the sugar candy manufacture was introduced by Portuguese traders. In 1569, Luís Fróis, a Portuguese missionary, presented a glass flask of konpeitō to Oda Nobunaga in order to obtain the permit for mission work of Christianity. Howooo, there is a reason some adaptation describe Nobunaga-sama loves konpeito. Perhaps it's so sweet and good for snacking while boring.

Then, in Touken Ranbu, konpeito become the item that increased our exp. Start from standart konpeito which contains 500 exp each. Then high grade konpeito which contains 10.000 exp each. The last one, special konpeito with 30.000 exp each if you had finish Hyakki Yakou Operation, you get 6 item of special konpeito.

To get the konpeito items, there are steps and inquiries. For standart konpeito, you should do sparring task on duties. You can also get konpeito by complete ranbu level 4 and limited forging (the remaining point of forging will be traded to standart konpeito). How about the high grade one? Some event will put konpeito as reward, for example Summer Regiment Battle.

Because it's limited, we need to be wise to use it. And... who's the one that so strict for giving konpeito?

Of course... one of our Sanmeishou, Tonbokiri.

Believe me, i said the truth. This Honda Tadakatsu's Yari perhaps know well if konpeito is an important item. Not everytime konpeito are being consumed. It's rare item. Tonbokiri was so careful to share konpeito to his pals.

The story start from Nagasone had conversation with Tonbokiri during have a training. Nagasone then mentioned konpeito as Tonbokiri was doing a sparring. Nagasone wanted to taste it, thinking he would have a powerful stamina by eating it. Unfortunately Tonbokiri wouldn't allow it as he knew konpeito had to be consumed whenever it was urgent. Again Nagasone tried to persuade Tonbokiri but failed, ended by Nagasone 'eating' his own hand because he was so hungry.

As Tonbokiri mumbled complaining Nagasone's request, there was Tomoegata who ate dango. Tomoegata knew if Tonbokiri had a konpeito. Later he asked for konpeito because one dango wasn't enough for himself. Again Tonbokiri refused to give konpeito. With hopeless, Tomoegata walked away before he finished the dango.

Nikkari, the curious 'ghost slayer', came and teased Tonbokiri by calling him 'konpeito'. Immediately, Tonbokiri corrected it. Tonbokiri angry about why people wanted konpeito so much. Nikkari thought it was the time to taste konpeito and he asked some of it. Well and again, Tonbokiri scolded Nikkari to not waste the konpeito.

As Nikkari went away, Yasusada and Horikawa sneaked inside to make Tonbokiri startled. Again, Tonbokiri knew what they want. It was konpeito. Whining like a kid, Yasusada and Horikawa begged for a konpeito because they start hungry. But still, Tonbokiri refused even insulted Yasusada who cries before. As get 'imaginary heart attack', Yasusada asked Horikawa to get healed but Horikawa left him before he chased Horikawa.

Tonbokiri later got tired then start sleeping. As a long deep sleep, Tonbokiri dreamed himself having scout mission as the order of Saniwa. But strangely, everyone say konpeito as the name phrase. So... Saniwa was konpeito, Tonbokiri was konpeito, touken danshi were konpeito, jikkan shokogun was konpeito, everyone were konpeito. Tonbokiri realized his dream influenced by his selfishness to not share konpeito.

The enemies came. They started fighting against KONPEITO. In the middle of battle, they lose but Tonbokiri tries to settle it. Everyone injured because the lost of konpeito to eat. Tonbokiri was upset regreting himself.

As he awoke from his dream, Tonbokiri acted strangely in front of his pals. He was swearing to fulfill his dream as 'Konpeitokiri' or 'Konpeito Slayer'. Later he called his pals as konpeito. Of course it made them confused. As Tonbokiri daydreamed and kept talking strangely, Horikawa thought if Tonbokiri gone crazy. To make Tonbokiri got comfy, they acted as the same way as him then slowly calm him down.

The good news was... Tonbokiri wanted to share his konpeito to his pals and forgave his selfishness. In the end they started eating konpeito. They sang about the beauty of konpeito.

It's a strange act but so fun. Even they have a song to praise konpeito. How amazing and sweet konpeito is. I also want to eat konpeito.

I DID IT!!

I ended the 80 runs yesterday night, goddamn I had never needed to do the expert map before. I wanted him and he doesn't appear that often as a reward anymore, so here we are, happy to get him. Still, Uff, lots of grinding and help tokens lost there. At least i leveled up tomoegata and juzumaru ( tomoegata especially, naginatas are hell to level up, and boy, level 99 tomoegata is beast)

Juzumaru leadership is high as hell, i loved him so much that i sent him to kiwame and bought his casual outfit (i mean, the clouds, the grey, the realization that half his hair has been white all along how did i miss that) Generally you want to wait to sent bigger swords to kiwame so they come back a higher level ( a 35 level kwm tachi is a lot less powerfull than a 99 ubu one, you want them to accumulate exp first) i gather he should come back at level 40, is still low for a tachi, but i wanted to sent him to kiwame so that's the important part)

I don't know about the upcoming regiment battle, not in the mood to grind that much again, will probably focus aim to get chiganemaru finally. Excited to see the new sword design tough.

Toumyu Hanakoyomi 8&9

For something different from usual (no fancy picture because the Hanakoyomi is a drama cd and so doesn't have one), I'd like to give you all the 8th and 9th Hanakoyomi episodes! It's not very likely I'll be posting the rest of the Hanakoyomis, as it's very likely the episodes will be released on CD and I'd like to prevent folks substituting the tls for the actual episodes ^^;

How many of you are into Touken Ranbu? Tomorrow (10/08) is my 8th saniwa anniversary and I haven't written a single saniwa x sword fic yet... shocking....

Is there any particular sword you're hoping to see me write? We're talking about a smut fic here. I can't possibly pick with the amount of swords I want to fuck but among my faves are Chougi, Kikkou, Nikkari, Mikazuki, Buzen, Hasebe, Tomoegata, Norimune, Koryuu, Higekiri, Chouson, Nikkou...

☆ amalgamate sword headcanons: shizukagata naginata

☆ shizukagata is a special case as far as the naginata twins go. Whereas Tomoegata was thought to have been used for spiritual ceremonies, Shizukagata was used more along the commonfolk.

☆ as such, shizuka's sense of "self" is broken at best. he uses he/it pronouns, because he isn't sure who "Shizukagata Naginata" really is. He is prone to disassociation and his personalities switch up sometimes.

☆ because of his amalgamation, he is able to access the personalities and thoughts of every Shizukagata across citadels. It's like being possessed ... by yourself. The arm also covered by the guard leaks silvery blood and is cool and hard to the touch, while also being a bit greyer.

☆ Shizukagata's mental state is usually garnered towards obsession, whether that is obsessively loving or hating someone remains to be seen.

☆ he's a lot to handle. He knows this, and he latches onto people who are kind to him nonetheless.

☆ Shizukagata thinks of Tomoegata as being better than him. After all, he's the "prettier twin." His self esteem is pretty low.

The last week or so has been, without exaggeration, extremely exhausting and immensely taxing.

After summoning two swords (Koryuu Kagemitsu and Akashi Kuniyuki) within the span of three days, Yuichi was already feeling so spent-- which only served to make the next several days feel like the weight of the world was hitting him in whirlwind form.

His first unit was preparing to thwart HRA from turning the tides of the Battle of Sekigahara, where their plans included supplying large numbers of their own soldiers to the Toyotomi under Ishida Mitsunari's lead. Ookurikara, the captain, had sent word of the plans, but insisted the team present could handle it.

But Yuichi, envisioning the worst, sent a few more toudans as support-- Taikogane Sadamune, Tomoegata Naginata, and Tsurumaru Kuninaga. He'd gone with them, more out of impulse and concern than anything, and was met with what felt like a smidge of resentment. Ookurikara, he realized, was a bit insulted in his saniwa's apparent lack of faith of him and his team. Yuichi reacted poorly, though-- fortunately he didn't say anything to the captain, instead offering an awkward, curt goodbye before departing back to the honmaru.

Then, anomalies were detected surrounding the Honnouji incident, and so it was finally time to send in a second unit comprised of those who would know those events best-- Souza as captain, Yagen, Hasebe, and Fudou, with Kashuu and Ishikirimaru as well. Already, even before leaving, Yuichi could sense the tension between them, especially Hasebe and Fudou, and so as they ported off, he could only hope they could at least hold together as a team.

Since then, Yuichi had been inundated with paperwork, writing reports, tracking disturbances, and doing his best to be aware of his touken danshi here at the honmaru... And soon, it seems, once more information is obtained, he will be sending off his first-ever full third unit to investigate something in the late Heian period.

(Clearly, the day that he'd planned to set everything aside to spend with Nagasone is going to be pushed back, too.)

He is a mess.

He hasn't even had the chance to properly welcome Koryuu and Akashi as he tries to do, considering he has yet to really fully recover from...well, anything.

Yesterday, he snapped at Houchou, who had entered his office innocently, but loudly and unnanounced, startling him.

Today, the second unit returned, and while they had succeeded in their mission, they returned in grim shape-- things had been complicated by Fudou's latching on to Ranmaru, and even more so by Ishikirimaru's unsuitability, as an oodachi, to fight in such enclosed spaces as Honnouji temple.

He's just come back from visiting the repair room, and Nagasone has walked in on him pacing fretfully back and forth, face already wet with tears. A panic attack is well underway.

At Nagasone's question, he doesn't say anything for a few moments, instead, pacing a few more times while he tries to resist the overwhelming urge to just run to him. He knows Nagasone is there for him, willing to do anything for him, and he appreciates that to the ends of the earth and beyond-- but still, part of him doesn't want to lay this all on him...

It doesn't matter, though, because soon his hands are reaching out for him, before he finally lets himself go to him. He hangs his head, resting it against Nagasone's chest as his hands ball into fists, gripping at his jacket.

"Just--" Yuichi's voice is surprisingly loud, as he's finding it hard to not just wail at him. "I-I don't know, just... hold me."
