Valerie's First Birthday | Batfam x Batsis x Batmom

Synopsis: A kiddie party with supers, what can possibly go wrong? A lot, apparently.

Time sure flies. One day you’re pushing out a melon-sized human being out of your… out of you, and now you’re celebrating their first birthday. Vivian knew that Valerie won’t remember a thing on this early stage so she opted for a small celebration for Valerie. Bruce suggested they throw a big birthday party for their daughter, considering it was a huge milestone that she’s turned one, but Vivian said that they can just save for future birthdays instead, besides didn’t want Gotham to be part of it, she wanted Valerie to be surrounded by family and friends, and it just so happens that the only friend that Valerie has in Gotham was Bunny Vreeland. Her other friends? They were a bunch of supers, and it’ll be too risky to have them all mixed up for that.

But then Veronica had a plan. And how can they say no to that? So they agreed to do two things: share a birthday party with Bunny since they were born days apart, and then have another party in the manor with those who they were close to in the Justice League.

Vivian and Veronica shared in the responsibility in handling their daughters’ birthday party, which was hosted in some playpen for toddlers, and Veronica was pondering the theme that had bunnies, rainbow, and princesses and witches.

“So, Valerie and Bunny’s birthday party theme is basically Easter?” Tim commented.

“I see it more as the Wizard of Oz,” said Dick. “What do you think, kiddo?” He asked his sister who sat on his lap with her pet gargoyle, who she named Geg – Greg or Gregory, but the girl still can’t pronounce her “Rs”.

Vivian looked at the mock-ups that Veronica sent to her again. “We’re going with the Wizard of Oz, I’m calling Ronie.”

“So, I guess Val’s going to be the Good Witch?” Bruce asked, already checking Glinda’s costume online.

“No!” Jason exclaimed. “It’s like you didn’t read Wicked! She ain’t gonna be Glinda!”

“I haven’t read Wicked, Jason,” Bruce stated.

“How about the Broadway show? Did you watch that at least?”

“Does it look like Batman’s one for broadway musicals, Jason?” Tim snickered.

“Whatever – Val’s not gonna be Glinda! I don’t care if that Rabbit is gonna be Glinda, but not Val.”

“Rabbit?” Duke asked, completely lost.

“He means Bunny Vreeland,” said Damian.

“Oh.”

“How about Dorothy?” Bruce asked.

Alfred hummed. “I think the character of Elphaba would be more suitable for Ms. Valerie with her magical background,” he picked up his granddaughter and handed her a sippy cup with her drink.

“She’s the green one, right?” Bruce asked.

Jason groaned loudly and said, “Yes, Elphaba is the green one!”

“But isn’t she the bad guy in the Wizard of Oz?” Stephanie asked.

Jason pulled out the book from their shelves and handed it to Duke while saying: “She’s the Wicked Witch of the West, but she’s not all that bad! It’s society that made her wicked! There’s a difference between internally wicked and becoming wicked because society made you one! That’s the whole point of the story!”

“He seems to be very passionate about Wicked,” Steph whispered to Cass and Tim.

“Vivian took him to see a lot of plays, ballet, and Broadway. It’s their bonding time,” Bruce said to them. “But this is the first time I saw him like this too.”

Vivian returned to the sitting room with the announcement that they were good with the Wizard of Oz theme, and Veronica wanted Bunny to be Glinda.

“And I think our little Val would be a perfect Elphaba, but we’re not going to cover you in green pain,” Vivian snapped her fingers and a black witch’s hat landed on Valerie’s head. It was the perfect size.

Valerie giggled and made grabbing motions at her mother.

“Did you have that all this time for this day, Viv?” Stephanie asked.

“No, this was mine when I went to school for witches,” Vivian started humming the song Popular from Wicked while dancing with her daughter.

“You didn’t say that you went to a witch’s school –”

“She’s messing with you, Brown,” said Damian.

“Oh.”

The party went well with Bunny and Valerie wearing Glinda and Elphaba costumes – respectively – and playing with the other children. Since it was a shared birthday, the two mothers chose a date that was right in the middle, for Bunny it was a few days after her actual birthday and for Valerie it was days before her actual birthday.

During that party Veronica insisted everyone wore costumes too. Dick was in charge of choosing the costumes of his siblings… not everyone was happy with what was assigned for them.

Jason was the Tin Man.

Tim was the Scarecrow.

Duke was the Cowardly Lion.

Damian was freaking Toto.

Dick was Dorothy… yes, he wore a freaking dress too.

Cassandra and Stephanie decided to wear something that was similar to the movies and the show, as the people in Emerald City; Barbara and her father were invited and came with the former as the Wizard of Oz.

Vivian and Bruce, on the other hand, came in as the couple in the Broadway show. They dressed up as Elphaba and Fiyero. But really, Bruce just wore a blue suit to follow the character’s costume, and Vivian wore one of her black dresses. But when they saw their family all dressed, especially Dick and Damian, and Alfred who wore the winged monkey uniform from the movie, they felt bad for just picking out something from their closets.

“Shame!” Dick told them.

“I know,” Vivian said as she held back her laughter when she saw Dick and the others. “That dress… hold on, is that my maternity dress?”

“Cool, right? I just made some adjustments,” said Dick.

“And is Duke wearing my faux fur coat?”

“Dick said that he already asked you, Mrs. P,” Duke said.

“He didn’t, but go ahead… and Damian… Toto?”

Damian glared at Dick.

When Alfred came down with Valerie all dressed in her Elphaba costume, she gasped and squealed when she saw her family all dressed up. Putting her down, Alfred held her hand as she waddled towards the crowd that perfectly dressed up as the characters of the Wizard of Oz and Wicked. Even when she didn’t know that yet, she was happy to see the colors and how funny they looked.

Immediately the glares that Damian and Jason had on Dick disappeared and they were just glad that their sister was happy.

The highlight of the party was when Valerie and Bunny played around while wearing their costumes and were the perfect cast of the two characters. The two were inseparable the entire time. They held each other's hand as they roamed around and played, and even when they blew the candles on their cake they did it together.

When the two girls thought it was time to go home when Bruce and Veronica were about to pick them up for a photo, the two hugged each other and pouted.

“No!” Bunny said and held Valerie tight.

“Stay – Bunny!” Valerie made her point and glared at her father.

By the end of the party, the two girls were tired and were asleep on their mothers.

The party for the Justice Kids – and Vivian called them — was held on Valerie’s actual birthday. It was just a small one in the manor with food and games that Dick would be hosting for them. They extended the invitation to everyone in the League and the families of the Leaguers too.

“I swear, Kent! Drop her, I will bring out my Kryptonite sword!” Damian called out to Jon who was flying around with Valerie in his arms, happily enjoying it.

“I'm not going to drop her, Damian!” Jon told his best friend but so Damian won't pop a vein, he went down and placed the girl on the ground. Valerie was confused – why did the ride stop? She was having a great time! When she saw Damian about to get her, Valerie turned to Jon and said: “Again!” While hugging his leg.

“Come on, Val. You can play at the swing instead,” Damian attempted to get her, but Valerie hid behind Jon’s leg and pouted at her brother.

“Fly,” Valerie said. “Want Jon.”

Jon laughed awkwardly and took Valerie from the ground and tried to hand her over to Damian, who was stunned with what she said, but the girl wouldn’t go with her brother. She really wanted to fly.

“Jon!” Valerie hugged him. “Fly?”

Dick and Tim winced at the sight of Valerie preferring to go with Jon than Damian.

“I'll go make sure he doesn't kill him,” said Dick.

“Good idea,” Tim muttered. Wouldn't want a murder in a kid's party.

The Kents were the first to arrive at the Manor – not surprising. In fact, Bruce and Vivian were used to them popping in out of nowhere. Following the Kents were the speeders, with Barry driving all the way from Star City with his family to celebrate and so Valerie would also meet his own children. The twins: Don and Dawn Allen. Following them was Diana, then Hal came. Roy arrived too, with Lian.

Valerie was well acquainted with Lian and happily dragged the older girl to where she was playing with the other kids.

But then Bizzaro and Artemis came and Valerie's attention were on the big guy who was a sweetheart and gifted her with a toy doll.

“Not happy birthday,” Bizzaro greeted her.

“Bee!” Valerie hugged him and his gift.

When Artemis was about to give her gift, Jason took it first as it was a weapon.

“She's a kid, Artemis!” Jason told her. “You can have this after I teach you how to use it,” he told his sister.

The Outlaws were followed by Oliver Queen and Dinah Lance with their own son – who was a year older than Valerie – Connor Lance-Queen.

Soon the backyard was filled with people and kids running around, playing. And while Vivian would have wanted to invite all of their super-friends, she knew that they can't just drop everything and come to the party too. Someone has to stay and watch over Earth and protect it from local and intergalactical threats. Hence the Titans staying at their tower, but Raven came with Damian's invitation. Well, he told Dick that he wanted Raven to come.

The Young Justice too were there but wouldn't be staying too long as they also had to look after their domains. Tim was the only exception since he was in a family event.

Coming to his wife's side, Bruce handed her a slice of cake and sat beside her. “Is everything alright?” He asked.

Vivian hummed, turning to him, she said, “Yeah, everything's fine. Why?”

“You’'ve been staring at them for a while now.”

“I'm just happy, that's all. I’m glad to see everyone here – relaxing. Dad's there with Alfred, having a pint. Superheroes get to enjoy the life they fight to protect and be with their families. You're here with our family.”

Bruce wrapped an arm around her and pressed a kiss on her temple. “She's growing up fast. Too fast,” he whispered as he watched Valerie play with Connor Lance-Queen, and the Allen Twins.

“She is,” Vivian sighed. “And I'll be back to work.”

“You can always not go back.”

“I know, but I want to… but I also want to be here with here — if I can, I would put her in my bag and we'd be at Gotham University.”

Bruce chuckled. “I know. Sometimes I also want to bring her to work.”

“Which one? The office job or the Bat-job?”

“Both…” his smile fell when he realized the clothes his daughter was wearing. It was a Batman costume for kids. “I don't want her to have to put on a cowl, Viv.”

“Bruce?”

“I’'m doing everything I can now to make sure that she never has to be in this line of work.”

“It's not really our decision to make, my love. It's hers when she grows up.”

“I know, but as much as I can, I will fight so she doesn't have to.”

Vivian had Bruce face her and kissed his lips. “I know, and I'd want that too… but if it means losing you to Batman's war, I don't want that. I need you, Bruce. Val needs you. Crime won't disappear, we both know that, and if it comes to it and she decides to take the cowl… then we'll be here – all of us — to make sure she knows how to continue this fight.”

Bruce rest his forehead on his wife's and closed his eyes as he felt her magic envelope them.

“Dada!” Valerie ran to him and tugged on his pants.

Bruce picked up his daughter and lets her sit on his lap. “Tired, Val?” He asked.

Val was sweaty from all the running and hungry. Very hungry that she tried to reach for the cake. Vivian was quick to have it away from her reach and had it floating in mid-air beside her before summoning Valerie's own plate with her carrot bites and other party food.

“I will not get used to that,” Lois said as she watched the plate and drink float beside Vivian.

“You will, eventually,” the familiar voice caught their attention. Appearing from the portal was John Constantine with Zatanna Zatara, and their son, Zachary Giovanni Zatarra. “Sorry, we're late. Zee had a last show before the party.”

“Making an entrance as always, Zatanna,” Bruce got up with his daughter in his arms. He and Vivian went to the new arrivals and greeted them.

“Well we are performers, Bruce,” said Zatanna.

“She is,” John said, pointing his thumb at Zatanna. “And this little bugger, too,” he gestured to his one-year-old son, who he held in his arms.

“Happy Birthday, Valerie,” Zatanna handed the gift to Vivian.

“Happy Birthday, love,” John greeted the girl. He then turned to his son. “Zach, remember, do not touch the shiny looking one,” John pointed at Valerie who looked at him confused.

“John, come on, they're kids,” Zatanna told him.

“I agree with him,” Bruce said.

“Bruce!” Vivian chastised him. “He's our godson!”

Zachary turned to Valerie and waved his hand at her. “Hi,” he said.

“Hi,” Valerie waved back. “Carrot?” She offered the one she had in her hand.

“Okay!” Zach took it to eat.

“Oh, so you eat your vegetables when it's from her, eh?” John playfully glared at his son. “When it's me or yer Mum, it's a bloody war.” He placed down his son, and Vivian took Valerie and put her on the ground too so she and Zach could play with the other kids.

With the kids gone in the garden, Adam got up from his seat and approached their little group with Alfred.

“John fucking Constantine,” Adam greeted him.

“Bollocks,” John hissed. “You didn't tell me your Dad will be here.”

“And if he was?” Vivian raised a brow.

John sighed. “Adam, good to see you again — looking old.”

“John!” Zatanna chastised him.

“I am old, love – don't worry,” Adam reassured Zatanna, his gaze returned to John. “You got old too.”

“Well, can't stay sixteen forever, can't I? When was the last time I saw you – thirty-something-years ago?” John was about to light a cigarette but Zatanna and Vivian confiscated the stick.

“Something like that, all I remember was finding you in my daughter's bedroom and chasing you out into the street with your tail between your legs.”

Barry and the others froze with what they heard.

“Say what?” Hal asked. “You mean to tell me those two dated in high school?”

“They did,” Clark explained.

“Hold on – Batman dated Zatanna, and Vivian dated John… and now the exes are dating each other's exes?.” Oliver massaged the bridge of his nose. “How come we're only hearing about this now?”

“We thought it was pretty obvious since John and Vivian were close,” said Diana.

“We thought they were friends!” Said Barry.

“I think it’s interesting that you’re best friends with your ex and your husband’s ex,” said Dinah.

Vivian sighed. “Dad, please don't.”

Adam nodded. “Sorry, love. I just didn't expect John fucking Constatine to be here.”

Turning to Zatanna, John said, “This is why I didn't want our kid to have my name.”

“That's the reason why I agreed to that too,” said Zatanna.

“Why, because you just made the name Constantine shite with all your bullshit?” Vivian pointed out.

“You know that’s the truth, Vee,” John conjured a bottle of ale and started drinking. “When’s the other family coming over?”

“What other family?”

“He means your Endless family, love,” Adam said. “I wouldn’t mind if Dream comes over. I’d finally get to meet him.”

“I don’t know, Dream tends to just come around if he’s needed. And I think Gregory the Gargoyle is already his birthday gift for Val.” She pointed to the tiny gargoyle who was following Ace, Titus, and Haley around. The gargoyle even tried barking, mimicking the three dogs. “And no offence, but I don’t think any gift from Desire and Despair means anything good, considering they wanted to kill me the last time we saw each other.”

“Especially Death – unless, our little Goth-girl wants to make Val here immortal,” John pointed out and handed Vivian a pint. “What about Delirium?”

“The best gift she could give is probably sanity… Destruction’s been doing some art.”

“He’s not really Picasso or Van Gogh, Vee. I wonder what Destiny would give.”

“He doesn’t really interact with us… unlike with the others.”

Barry approached Bruce and asked about what they were talking about – he was confused the moment they said Dream, and then Vivian and John kept mentioning words or names that were Desire, Despair, Delirium, Destruction, Destiny, Death. Everyone was just confused now.

“So, Clark hasn’t disclosed it to the team,” Bruce said.

“It’s not really my story to tell,” said Clark.

“Last holidays, Vivian was attacked by wraiths from Hell. They were sent by beings called the Endless are anthropomorphic representations of the powerful natural forces they embody – Destiny, Death, Dream, Destruction, Delirium, Desire, Despair. Vivian also met her father then, who happens to be an Endless – the Lord of Dreams,” Bruce explained.

“How did we not know about this?” Asked Hal.

“It was an isolated incident. Vivian dealt with it within the night. Since then, Dream has been visiting occasionally, especially when Valerie has been showing that she has inherited Vivian’s gifts. She’s been seeing ghosts everywhere. Dream was also the one who gave her Greg..”

“Who?”

“The Gargoyle. Val has a pet Gargoyle.”

“Not really something you can bring to show and tell, huh?” Barry chuckled as he watched the Gargoyle follow Valerie around.

“I can’t just call Dream for a kids party, John. He’s already got his hands full with Hell,” Vivian told John.

“Hold on, what’s going on with Hell? What’s Lord Morpheus got to do with it?”

“Oh, you don’t know? Luci retired.”

“He can’t do that – can he do that? Can the Devil actually retire?” John turned to Zatanna for answers.

Zatanna shrugged. “I have no idea.”

“So, any danger we should look out for with Luci now who-knows-where?” John asked.

“No. Dream said Lucifer is now vacationing at Australia… he just got tired.”

“Fucking finally! I’ve been trying so hard to get that fucker off my back!”

“You and I both,” Vivian clinked her bottle with his.

As the party was ending, many of their guests left. But Clark and the other members of the League stayed a little longer to help with the clean up, and because Valerie and the other kids were having so much fun showing their powers. The twins were showing their speed force abilities, Zach was showing the little magic he can do. Raven was entertaining them with the magic she can do. Jon was enjoying the magic show with the kids. Valerie, being the youngest of them all, has yet to show her magic. So far she can only see ghosts and those beyond the mortal world.

In the middle of cleaning up, Valerie called for her parents by saying: “Mumma, Dada! Birdie!”

At first they thought she was referring to her brothers, but Valerie kept calling them, so the adults went to the sitting room where a raven perched on the shelf. Vivian and Bruce knew that raven anywhere.

“Matthew,” Bruce greeted.

“Hey! Hi! Glad you remember me!” Matthew flew down and stood on the ground. “Boss,” he greeted Vivian.

“I’m not your boss, Matthew,” Vivian reminded him.

“Well, you’re the boss’ daughter. Ms. Dream?”

“No.”

“Dreamling?”

“I will throw you in the oven.”

“Alright, sheesh. Anyway, the boss sent me to say that he’s running late and to get ready.”

“For what?” Bruce asked.

“Well, rumor spread in the Dreaming that today is this one’s birthday,” Matthew nudged Valerie. “And let’s say, Cain and Abel were trying to make a present. Same goes with Mervyn Pumpkinhead. Lucienne also prepared something for the little Dreamling.”

“That’s nice of them,” Vivian sat on the ground with her daughter.

“She’s talking to a bird,” Lois sighed. “This house is never going to be normal, isn’t it?”

“You should be used to it by now,” said Clark.

“Oh! The boss is coming,” Matthew said.

From the corner of the room, a figure appeared. Dressed in black robes that were more contemporary, Dream appeared and greeted the guests with a nod. His gaze turned to Vivian and Valerie but the sight of Adam caught his attention.

“Adam Royce,” he greeted.

Adam got up and approached the Endless. “Lord Dream, pleasure to finally meet you.”

Dream shook his hand and bowed his head slightly. “An honor to meet the man who raised my daughter.”

“Well, always saw her as my own,” Adam patted him on the shoulder. “I think Mads and I did a good job.”

“You both did,” Dream smiled, slightly.

“The birthday girl is right there,” Adam pointed to the direction where Vivian carried Vivian with Bruce at her side.

Dream strolled across the room and greeted his daughter and his granddaughter.

“Vivian,” Dream greeted. “And Valerie. She has grown since I last saw her… and so has the gargoyle.”

“She named him Gregory, but she calls him Geg for now,” said Vivian. “Do you want to hold her?”

Dream was hesitant but nodded stiffly. Vivian handed Valerie to him, who went with the Endless without a fuss. Her eyes were wide as she looked at Dream, curious. He didn’t feel like Mumma or Dada, or Grandpa Alfred nor Grandda. He was very different. She reached out and touched Dream’s cheek to see if he was real, and he was.

Dream smiled at her touch and said, “I am real, Valerie Pryor-Wayne. And I am also your grandfather.”

“Gampa,” Valerie whispered. She then started to whimper and reached for her father. Dream handed her back to Bruce, his smile never leaving.

“She’ll get used to you,” Vivian said to Dream. “We still have cake, if you want.”

“I shall be off. I simply wanted to wish Valerie a happy birthday, and to leave her these,” a wave of a hand and pile of gifts appeared at the corner of the room. “From those of the Dreaming. Death too has found something for Valerie — she mentioned it is what children these days like – and Destruction created an art piece for her. Delirium also gave her a gift.”

“Well, thank you for these and to everyone in the Dreaming, and to Destruction, Death, and Delirium… it is upsetting that you’re not staying.”

“With Hell still not having a steward, I’m afraid that I cannot stay any longer.”

“Good luck with finding a new steward for Hell… thank you, Lord Dream.”

Dream reached out and tucked a piece of her red hair to the back of her ear, and then disappeared. Turning to her daughter, Vivian took Valerie and said, “Want to see what Gampa Dream and the others gave you?”

“Me mentioned Cain and Abel,” said Bruce.

“I’m sure it’s not a bloody rock, Bruce.”

Sitting on the ground, Vivian showed to Valerie the gifts from the Dreams and Nightmares, and the other Endless. There was a book in the pile, and it was from Lucienne. Domain joined them on the ground and started handing Valerie one of the gifts from the pile and then handing Jason the things they think were not entirely for toddlers (Mervyn Pumpkinhead gave her a mini pitchfork; Cain and Abel gifted her a gardening set).

As the family looked through the gifts with Alfred and Adam, and the other Robins and children, the rest of the Justice League watched and tried to process what happened.

“So, that was Dream — is he the same with Morpheus?” Oliver asked.

“Yes — I think so,” said Diana.

“Does that make Vivian a half-god—demigod, too?” Barry asked.

“Well,” Stephanie joined them with her ice cream. “Last we saw Dream, he said Viv has the power of creation and life. So, I guess Ariana Grande was right — god was a woman… or in this case, god is their mom.”

“Does that make the squirt,” Hal referred to Valerie. “A quarter-god? Batman has too much power in his cave.”

“I think it’s adorable,” Zatanna said as they watched Valerie and Zachary play in the middle of the sitting room. With the two toddlers was Haley and Greg. “I think they’ll be best friends.”

John scoffed. “As long as they stay friends.”

“I have no idea what your problem is if Zach and Val…” Vivian shrugged.

“She’s not going to date,” said Jason from the couch where he ate cake. “Not when I’m around.”

“Agreed,” said Damian.

“That. That’s why,” John pointed at the two brothers sitting on the couch watching their sister closely.

“They’re joking, John,” Vivian told him. “Bruce, either you stop it or I gouge out your eyes.”

Bruce turned to his wife and sighed. He pulled her to sit on his lap and then took a bite from the piece of cake she had on her fork.

“Hey!” Vivian pouted.

“If she starts dating then it’s official, she’s growing up way too fast,” Bruce said to her.

“Nothing we can do about that, my love,” Vivian leaned down and kissed him. “We just have to be here and watch her grow up and make sure she makes good decisions, and not play with OUIJA boards during slumber parties.” She kissed him again. “We’ll be fine. She’ll be fine, Bruce.”

He hummed. “Seventeen more years.”

Vivian pouted. “Seventeen more years.”

“Mumma, Dada! Look!” Valerie called for them.

Turning to their daughter, they watched as she grinned at them, then she grabbed Zach’s face and placed a kiss on his lips, then said to them: “Kiss, kiss!”

Bruce and John held their breaths. In fact, all of the Robins were holding their breath after seeing that.

“Relax, it’s just an innocent kiss!” Vivian told them and joined her daughter and Zach on the floor. “But Val, next time when you kiss Zach just on the cheeks, like this,” Vivian called for Zatanna, and when the woman joined them, she kissed her on the cheeks and Zatanna returned the gesture.

Wanting to try, Valerie kissed Zach on the cheeks and giggled. Zach too wanted to try and kissed her on the cheeks.

Damian was about to get his batarangs but Jon stopped him.

“Don’t teach them, Ma!” Jason told her.

Adam chuckled and patted Bruce on the shoulder. “Got no one to blame but yourself. You and Vivian are not really discrete.”

Bruce groaned and ran his hand down his face. This was not what he wanted to see on his daughter’s first birthday.

Heeseung was always the one who listened to everyone’s problems, if one of the boys were upset, or if two of his members argued, he was there to listen to both sides, and he was fine with that. Although, he does admit it felt a little lonely.

Aohi changed that for him. At the start, he felt weird at the thought of sharing his feelings. So he mostly rambled about nothing and everything to Aohi.

Aohi happily listened to Heeseung’s soft words and sudden thoughts that he would blurt out around her.

Heeseung and Aohi are both known as one of the maturer members of ENHYPEN, but as soon as they’re alone together they’re turned into giggling toddlers. (source: EN-log; Aohi Day.)

When they first met, Aohi and Heeseung was like a cat who didn’t like it’s new siblings. If Aohi ever tried to even come close to Heeseung, he’d swat her away.

Heeseung’s favourite thing to do with Aohi is play LoL. Aohi doesn’t fairly enjoy the game, partly because she’s more FPS based, but she likes to bond with Heeseung.

There’s a running joke that Aohi is the boyfriend between the two, Heeseung acting a bit of a babygirl around her.

For example: Aohi and Heeseung watching LoL streams and Aohi praises said streamer, and Heeseung will want some praises as well.

“bunny, me too right? I’m good at it too, right?” - que sigh, “yes, seungie, you too.”

Aohi’s favourite thing to do with Heeseung is sleep, it’s not uncommon to know that despite being the eldest, Heeseung’s the last to wake up between the boys, therefore, he’s the best pillow.

Aohi knows if she sleeps in Heeseung’s bed, the boys don’t have the heart to wake either of them, even if they were late.

Aohi and Jay kind of took on the parental role of the group, Aohi, despite being part of the maknae line, Aohi’s maturity puts her as one of the elders basically.

I think that’s one of the many things Jay admires about her. The way she’s able to take care of things and manage her time and emotions effortlessly.

They’re what you’d expect from a married couple honestly.

Their habits of watching whatever on the TV, or the way they seem to just communicate telepathically whenever they’re cooking in the kitchen together.

Jay thinks Aohi is an ideal person to be with long-term, he answered her as the most ideal person to marry. (A fan had asked during a fan meet.)

Jay’s favourite thing to do with Aohi is bake, there was more than enough times where Jay was actually able to have some childish fun.

The members remember well when Jay and Aohi were left in the dorms, and the kitchen looked like a mess, with icing everywhere on the two’s faces.

Aohi’s personality with Jay is like a doting wife, to her hard-working husband.

That’s probably why Jay’s saved as Hubby on her phone, and her saved as Wifey on the boy’s phone.

Their favourite inside joke, Jay slipped on some mix while they were making meringues for Sunoo’s birthday, and ever since then, “meringue boy” was Aohi’s nickname for Jay.

Aohi’s favourite thing to do with Jay is go shopping, Jay and Ni-ki are, in her opinion, one of the best dressed and the best at finding outfits at shops.

Jake and Aohi had the most difficult time period with getting along, like cats and dogs, you could say. (haha, pun.)

Aohi had a bit of a hard time getting used to Jake being affectionate towards her because before Aohi debuted she and Jake were the ones likely to argue all the time.

And it always resulted to Aohi winning. Think as in, Dog bothers cat so cat swats dog and Dog ends up whimpering away.

Although, Aohi (doesn’t like to admit it) does have a soft spot for Jake.

Jake sometimes has a hard time falling asleep and when he does, he goes to Aohi’s bed where they cuddle to sleep.

Jake tries to be affectionate with Aohi a lot because he does feel guilty for fighting with her all of the time during her pre-debut days.

Jake thinks that with him bothering her all of the time during pre-debut, Aohi probably had a harder time. So he tries to make it up to her, by basically doing everything for her.

Aohi does appreciate his gestures and knows he’s guilty of their past. Aohi tries to soothe his guilts to the best of her ability.

Jake is like Heeseung in a way, always wanting her eyes on him, if Heeseung buys her a cookie? He’ll buy a jar full of cookies, Sunghoon buys her a perfume? He’ll buy her favourite perfume.

basically, if anyone goes low, he goes lower.

Their favourite topic to talk about is basically pets, Aohi has two family pets, named Chewy and Mochi. Both cats.

Obviously Jake loves Layla, but he tends to bicker with Aohi because he likes the way her eyebrows furrow when she’s frustrated, he thinks it’s cute.

“I’m not saying cats are better than dogs, I think Layla is cute and you’re just putting words in my mouth!” — “nuh uh.” — “FUCK YOU MEAN NUH UH???”

Jake’s favourite thing to do with Aohi is taking their pets for walks. Surprisingly Aohi’s pets are outdoor cats, and they enjoy taking walks with Layla.

Jake thinks that Aohi walking their pets is a very domestic task to do and basically adores it.

Visual overload, that’s what I’d call it, Aohi and Sunghoon bring the most visuals out of any event ever.

Engenes on Twitter love it so much in fact, that there’s threads of the outfits Aohi and Sunghoon have both worn matching.

Sunghoon and Aohi are the type of people to have silent conversations in a room full of people, enjoying each other’s silent gazes rather than speaking outwardly.

Despite their, rocky start (in rocky start I mean, Sunghoon was pretty much awkward with Aohi, pre-debut.) Aohi and Sunghoon are pretty funny together.

Sunghoon is actually the funniest member of Enhypen, and Aohi is his apprentice. Sunghoon loves to teach her his puns, it’s like their favourite thing to do.

Their victims mostly consist of Jungwon and Jay. The only difference is that they hate when Sunghoon does it but laughs when Aohi makes a joke.

The favouritism is so real, it’s crazy.

Aohi enjoys being around Sunghoon when she needs a break from talking or being social. They mostly don’t, but when it does get too much, Aohi seeks Sunghoon out.

Their favourite thing to do is definitely ice skate, she’s not better than Sunghoon, but she knows how to keep up with him.

Sunghoon and Aohi definitely have danced on the ice together, if not all the time.

Sunghoon loves when Aohi holds onto him on the ice, it makes him feel very loved and needed.

Now, new engenes tend to mistake ages a lot between Sunoo and Aohi, more people actually think Aohi is older than Sunoo!

Reason being is that, basically, Aohi acts like a bodyguard to Sunoo. She’s never not on Sunoo’s side, an arm around the boy’s shoulder like it’s some kind of avril lavigne song.

Behind the scenes though, Sunoo dotes on Aohi more than anyone in enhypen.

Sunoo and Aohi both definitely compliment each other in terms of personality, Sunoo has a bright mindset while Aohi has a more nightly perspective.

In other terms, Aohi and Sunoo complete each other as the Sun and the Moon.

Sunoo and Aohi also play a lot of video games with each other! Their favourite thing to play together is Animal crossing: New Horizons, they def have matching islands together as well.

Sunoo also appreciates Aohi a lot, Sunoo is the most prone to getting sick, and tends to stay home more often than any of the boys and Aohi loves keeping him company most days.

Sunoo thinks that Aohi is very caring, but It does worry him that she might be too caring about others that she forgets to take care of herself.

Sunoo’s favourite thing to do with Aohi is eat! If not for the way these two’s fox characteristics beat their love for food, their duo name would’ve been foodiez.

Aohi thinks that it’s adorable the way Sunoo looks like a hamster every time he eats, basically she gets cuteness aggression from his cheeks.

Aohi’s favourite moment of Sunoo’s was when it was late at night and he was supposed to be sleeping, but Aohi had caught him eating a food delivery he had gotten secretly.

Safe to say Sunoo had to share his food that night.

“Sunnie, you finished all of the radish!” — “yeah, well you finished all the sausages so we’re even.”

Aohi loves to bring Sunoo her food creations whenever she experiments, sometimes Sunoo does worry it’ll make him gain much but he can’t really deny Aohi now can he.

“Oppa, it’s just a muffin! It won’t do much!” — “Aohi…” — “please! I won’t bake anything for you after this!” — “Yah! I didn’t say you shouldn’t!”

Aohi and Sunoo also love to gossip a lot, heck, the boys have scolded them one too many times for being too loud at night.

If not for Xiulin who takes Aohi’s spot as her partner in crime, Sunoo would definitely be runner up.

Sunoo’s and Aohi’s most well known crime/prank would be when Aohi purposely took the wrong gate at the airport to leave from, so everyone thought she wasn’t on the plane to begin with.

Jungwon and Aohi was similar to that of Jake and Aohi, Jungwon was mostly frustrated since he took on the leader role at such a young age.

He believed that with Xiulin and Aohi into the mix was just even more stressful, and he was only a kid with too many responsibilities.

Jungwon and Aohi did talk about their shortcomings as members to each other, ending up where they were now.

Now, Aohi and Jungwon was very much friends, until of course, the promotions during the manifesto album.

Jungwon was very adamant with pursuing Aohi despite her unsure feelings (because at the time, Sunoo and Ni-ki were already in pursuit of her, and she knew.)

Despite this, Jungwon pursued Aohi anyways, leaving the girl with no choice but to let Jungwon court her. (She was secretly enjoying it, what’s a girl to do when getting pampered?)

Aohi and Jungwon are very easily the most girlfriend-boyfriend out of the whole duo. Both being born in the same year, and working like they merged into one person.

If Jungwon was the leader, then Aohi is definitely what follows after Jungwon.

The two are very strict with each other and the group, always wanting to be on their best behaviour. Very hypocritical of them because they always do the weirdest lives.

As in, eating every type of ice cream at three am in the morning lives. Yes, Aohi and Jungwon deliberately went to a convenience store and bought every type of ice cream there was.

Aohi got sick that day, and Jungwon felt so guilty he literally banned ice cream for a week after she got better.

Aohi and Jungwon’s favourite thing to do is go live, if that’s not surprising. Engene’s favourite live duo, because you’re either messing around with Jungwon or bothering other with Jungwon.

“jakey jakey, let’s go wake him.” — “GOOD IDEA. Why don’t we like… idk pinch him awake.” — “we’re not that evil.” — “OR ARE WE????”

Jungwon’s very heart eyes for Aohi, he thinks she’s the most brilliant person in the whole entire world, Aohi, of course thinks the same, she loves his mischievous behaviour.

Aohi also loves to teach Jungwon English. She finds his aggressive English adorable, and she knows it’s a bit of a struggle to speak it because of Korean and English syllables and consonants clashing with each other.

“You kind of have to say sss, like a snake, instead of shh, because that way it won’t sound weird,” — “like.. seal?” — “yeah! Like that!”

To be fair, Aohi does teach most of the guys English, but Jungwon (and Sunghoon) Are the ones who go to her the most, I mean, Jay and Jake, sure they speak English, but they do troll with them most of the time.

Aohi’s guaranteed to teach them without the jokes and memes.

Aohi admires Jungwon’s ability to be a leader, and it’s what draws Aohi to Jungwon easily.

Okay, she actually doesn’t have favourites, but she goes the softest for Ni-ki, because, well, He was the first person to ever befriend her. (during her pre-debut days of course.)

Ri-ki’s never once fought with Aohi during their pre-debut and Aohi’s obviously going to baby Ri-ki because he is the maknae.

Ri-ki actually dislikes Aohi’s babying (as in, too frequently, babying him.)

Ri-ki prefers babying Aohi despite her being his noona.

His favourite thing to do? Collect plushies with Aohi, if Aohi has it, chances are Ri-ki has a matching one. Ri-ki treats them like his babies.

Ri-ki and Aohi spend most of their time window shopping plushies actually. Their current buy list consist of genshin plushies (in which Aohi forced Ri-ki to play) and some few Enhypen themed ones.

Aohi is very thankful that Ri-ki indulges in her childish purchases because it makes her relieved that Ri-ki wouldn’t judge her for buying things to heal her inner child.

Aohi and Ri-ki are also very prone to gaming together, usually it’s them and Sunoo, and Aohi mostly plays valorant with the two.

It’s surprising how good Ri-ki and Sunoo actually are at FPS games. Currently, their ranks are Ri-ki - High-Ascendant, Aohi - Immortal, Sunoo - Low Diamond.

Sunoo doesn’t play as much as the two evil twins do, but when he does, he plays pretty much better than diamonds do. (Only because he’s got Immortals and Ascendants teaching him.)

“YAH! RI-KI YAH! I TOLD YOU TO COVER ME!” — “I WAS LITERALLY FIGHTING HOOKAH.” — “you’re so poopoo..” — “hey, watch your language, I’m top-fragging missus immortal rank.”

When they aren’t being competitive though, they like to enjoy minecraft! Aohi has.. maybe one or more times burnt or exploded or drowned half of Ri-ki’s house.

Ri-ki and Aohi are actually ChromeHearts ambassadors, if not for Hoon and Jay, Ri-ki would be one of the most likely to be paired in a photoshoot with Aohi.

Aohi’s favourite thing to do with Ri-ki? Dance. She tries her best to help with Ri-ki’s dancing, always making up new things or joining Ri-ki whenever he wants to do a dance on tiktok.

Although dancing isn’t her strong suit, she still loves to do it!

“And then, maybe it could go like this- and then yeah!” — “wait you’re so smart I love that dance line.” — “right?” — “i’m so happy you’re my girlfriend.” — “okay relax mister smooth talk.”

Aohi loves to be childish around Ri-ki because she knows that Ri-ki will join her, and it gives her a break from being mature in front of many.

No, but really, she’s the favourite.

Xiulin and Aohi were the first to band together during pre-debut. They shared each other’s memories and experiences together.

Xiulin, despite being somewhat of an older sister figure to Aohi, likes to bicker a lot with the boys. Xiulin knows of their relationship and is one-hundred percent supportive! At some points…

Xiulin is very protective of Aohi because of well, their pre-debut. Aohi and Xiulin were pretty much cast aside because the boys had a hard time letting them into the group.

No matter though, Xiulin just likes to bully them because they know if there’s one person who gets most of Aohi’s time, it’s Xiulin.

Xiulin and Aohi are like two peas in a pod, if Aohi commits a crime, Xiulin is there with her.

Aohi’s whole thing with Xiulin is that she reminds her a lot of her older sister figures in XG, and that’s why Aohi likes to stick to Xiulin a lot more than any of the other boys.

Aohi and Xiulin are kind of like, each other’s opposites, yet equals. Despite Aohi’s tendency to lead after Jungwon, that’s just it for her, she follows the leader.

Xiulin is there to guide Aohi if Jungwon isn’t, and that eases Aohi’s heart.

Xiulin��s favourite thing to do with Aohi is play guitar together, Aohi didn’t actually know how to play the guitar until during the manifesto process.

Xiulin and Aohi would stay up together, just learning the stupidest riffs (like the SpongeBob theme) and laugh about it until their manager would bust them for staying up too late.

Aohi, absolutely adores Xiulin with all her heart, the boys believe she’s never looked at someone with such admiration before.

“Ah oppa! Xiulin-noona said, not to eat snacks before dinner..” — “Aohi, baby, you know Xiulin is younger than me…” — “Jake-hyung…” — “Ah.. okay, don’t call me hyung..”

Aohi’s favourite thing to do with Xiulin is paint together, Aohi’s an artistic spirit at heart, and sometimes that’s what she wants to do with her free time.

Although the boys join her from time to time, that doesn’t mean she’s really keen on letting them.

Sometimes painting time can be girl time, and with seven boyfriends? It’s definitely needed after a while.

“Gosh, you know Seungie-oppa? He keeps eating my chips! He won’t even buy them for me, he just sends me the money for it and is like ‘ sorry :9’ Like, that’s so rude!” — “Drop him for the day, bad boyfriend of the week!” — “you’re right!”

Aohi and Xiulin go hand in hand together, continuing to somehow… create chaos for their staff members and managers.

Aohi hopes to introduce Xiulin to her XG sisters one day.

A secret Xiulin holds is that she actually did like Aohi at one point, but ended up never pursuing her because well.. (let’s just say there was seven obstacles in the way.)

Dad Hood - part 15

‘So you need a spell? What kind, mate? I’m in a rush, so let’s get this over with.’

Constantine was annoyed. He hated dealing with Batman. The guy was a control freak, and magic doesn’t work by his rules. Constantine always felt like he had to over-explain everything just to keep the man from messing with things he really shouldn’t. Not only that, Zatanna had put a spell on him, either as a prank or as a way to help him quit. All his cigarette’s kept turning into lollipops. God, he needed a smoke.

‘We need a spell to find out where a child came from. So far we have found nothing, which is why we called you.’

Batman was annoyed. He hated dealing with Constantine. The wizard always acted like he was a toddler with a fork and an outlet. B was certain if he studied magic like Constantine he would figure it out, but he was too busy keeping Gotham safe for that.

‘Alright, let’s get this over with. At least we’ll be square afterwards. Where’s the little bugger?’

Constantine looked around. He saw Red Hood sitting at a table next to a little boy. Cute little kid, black hair and blue eyes. No wonder Batsy was so keen to help. But there was a strange energy around them…

‘The child is Red Hood’s son. We need to find out where he lived before he came to Gotham.’

Ah, so that’s why the kid felt like Death. Red Hood reeked of it and being his kid it’s no wonder the kid also felt like that. Sitting next to the kid, Constantine took out a cigarette out of habit, but it morphed into a lollipop in his hands. Cursing a bit, Constantine started setting up a simple spell. That should narrow down where the kid lived down to the city. Batsy can figure out the rest.

‘Mr. Con-man? Can I trade for your lollipop?’

Constantine blinked. Did the kid really called him Con-man? Seeing Red Hood smirk, John decided that the kid probably just couldn’t pronounce Constantine yet. Seeing the kid hold a juice-box, and not liking lollipops either way, John accepted.

‘Sure kid, deal. Now, this sigil should go here, and then this one-’

Suddenly John felt a warmth in his chest. He knew that warmth, but why now? Looking around, he saw the kid, enjoying the pop and still keeping his juice. Batman asked him what’s wrong.

‘…Nothing mate. I’m almost done. Just need to put this last sigil here and… done. Hey kid, could you put your hand right here for a moment?’

When Danny put his hand on the spell, the light formed into an Earth. A bright spot appeared in Illinois. Searching that spot on the Bat-computer, Tim found a place called Amity Park.

‘Ah, bollocks.’

‘Something wrong, Constantine?’

‘Ah, no. Nothing wrong, Batsy. I just need to go. I’ve got a… previous arrangement. I’ll see myself out!’

Constantine magicked himself back to his House of Mystery. He got a bottle of scotch and collapsed on the couch. Of course the kid was form Amity Park. Where else had Batsy gotten a kid that traded Constantine’s Soul contracts for Goddamn candy? How'd the kid even get those?

Back in the Batcave Bruce was confused. Why had Constantine fled? Danny didn’t do anything? He hoped that they would find their answers in Amity Park.

The next day, the family was taking a private plane. Bruce thought it would be best if the group went as civilians. The city wasn’t very suited to grapples and such, though they did have their suits in a hidden compartment in the plane. You can never be too sure, after all. Besides, the Waynes were in need of a vacation. That’s what rich people did after all. Danny was looking through the window, trying to see if he recognized anything yet.

‘Hey Danny, have you ever flown before?’

‘Of course, Uncle Dick! I fly all the time!’

At this, Danny floated up to the ceiling. Jason quickly grabbed him and put Danny on his lap. Can’t have him phasing outside.

‘Dick meant in a plane, kiddo. We know you can fly on your own. Have you ever flown in a plane before?’

‘Yeah! I did once with my mom! But the pilot jumped out of the plane and left me and mom to crash! He was dead too!’

Hoping to distract from that worrying statement, Duke asked Danny if he liked living in Amity, or if he didn’t remember.

‘I’m starting too. I do like it! It used to be really difficult, but not anymore! Now that everybody know that I’m dead, I don’t have to do my homework as much, and my parents don’t hunt me anymore, and my bullies don’t hit me either! But don’t tell anyone! It’s a secret, we don’t want the government to come and cut me open. So don’t tell the Guys in White, please!’

Bruce wrote down a memo to investigate these ‘guys in white’. Before he could ask Danny a bit more about it, the seatbelt lights came on. They had arrived in Amity Park.

Happy Hallowayne (a toddler!batsis Halloween special)

Part 1 - Prepare for trouble…

Things had been calm in Wayne matter for the majority of October

No major accidents had happened during patrol or outside

Bruce and Selina hadn’t had any of their occasional existential crisis where one of them thought that the other would be better off without them or vice versa

Jason hadn’t started a fight with Bruce

Damian hadn’t seriously stabbed someone

and generally the siblings had been getting along well

then halfway throughout the month - once the carved pumpkins and spooky scary skeletons appeared - Dick had the idea

This was the first time in ages that the entire family was a) alive, b) in contact and c) not on missions and at the ripe age of six, you we’re finally at an age where (with enough protection and safety measures) you would be allowed to finally go trick and treating

And not only that, Dick thought, this year they’d finally get around to throwing a halloween party just for them and their friends without any of the rich snobs that usually appeared at Galas

Quick as a flash Dick had gotten almost all of his siblings on board

Damian was acting rather indifferent even though on the inside he was somewhat curious about the whole ordeal since it would be one of the first times he’d be able to do something like that

Jason loved the idea just so he could keep his title as the best prankster in the family (something very controversially discussed between the children), since halloween was probably the best time for that

Tim had originally planned to just chill at his flat, watch some scary movies and eat all the candy he could get his hands on, but Dick’s proposal sounded like it would end in family chaos and he couldn’t think of any movie that would be more entertaining than that

Cassandra - while familiar with the concept of Halloween - wasn’t all to interested in it, but then Steph had talked to her about all the cool couple costumes they could do and since making her best friend happy made her happy she was down

Duke and Barbara were both all for a nice halloween get together because they both didn’t really have anything better to do and for Duke especially it would be one of the first times he’d get to spend a special day with his family without any… trouble

And for the littlest Wayne… well

once you had gotten wind of it, immediately being over the moon just at the thought of getting to dress up all fancy in a costume and getting to go around just for people to give you candy? for free? Yes, you were all in for the idea and you were basically buzzing with energy and excitement just minutes after he had told

There was no way they were gonna let you be disappointed after having seen your smile just at the idea

Now while growing up the way you did, you were incredibly good at hiding secrets from other people for a six year old, but you weren’t the best at being able to decide what you actually needed to keep to yourself until someone told you, so when your mother came into the room right after Dick had told you about the idea you immediately jumped over to her and told her all about it

Selina smiled at you and then looked at Dick with a raised eyebrow, effectively communicating her interest and doubt about the whole ordeal

“Mommy, mommy, will you dress up too?” you asked her with shining eyes and at that moment she also decided that this was probably a good idea

“Well of course I will, it wouldn’t be a halloween party if we weren’t all dressed up right?”

“So dad will too?”

Cue to dick imagining the usual stoic Bruce in a cliche halloween costume

he couldn’t decide what idea he liked most: Bruce in a cheap skeleton costume or Bruce dressed up as a ghost

in the end he decided the funniest image was that of his dad wearing a badly made superman costume

of course Bruce himself didn’t actually know about the party in planning yet - or had approved it for that matter, but there was one step that was by far more important than telling him

They had to convince the one with whom the idea would either rise - or fall: Alfred

“So, who is going to ask him?” Dick wondered aloud as he walked through the main living room with you peacefully slumbering in his arms. Having all agreed to help out with his Halloween-plans, quite a few members of the family had gathered - in fact it was almost surprising that no bomb had blown up yet with how things usually went when so many of them were present. Sitting, standing and lying all throughout the room were Dick and you - as mentioned before - Selina who was nursing a cup of tea with Alfred the cat cozily lying on her lap on an armchair, Cass, Steph and Tim were playing uno on the floor, Jason and Damian were each sitting on one of the sofas each cleaning their respective weapons and Duke and Barbara had been deep in conversation before Dick had spoken up, gaining all of their attention (except yours, still sleeping peacefully). Even though no one in the room vocally answered his question, all eyes immediately wandered over to Selina. Without so much as a sense of urgency, she took another sip of tea before shaking her head softly with a small smile. “I’m sorry to disappoint you, but I won’t take that upon myself, I’m willing to help you out with this, but that is something I cannot do.” “Why not? Alfred will listen to you.” “Probably, but - and call me selfish - I’d rather not be on the receiving end of all that is to come if this all blows over,” she shrugged and brought the cup back up to her lips, finished with her explanation. “So, Cassandra, my dearest sister-” Dick turned to the next person he thought would get Alfred to agree. “No,” she immediately rebutted. The oldest brother was about to turn to Barbara when he realized that almost everyone was looking at him with different levels of raised eyebrows and quickly figured out what was going on. “You all want me to do it, don’t you?” “I mean it was you’re idea after all you know,” Jason clapped him on the back in support, leaned down to give you a soft kiss on your forehead and left, being followed by most of the others.

So yeah it was Dick (and you since he had to at least have some secret weapon with him) who had to go through the final phase of bringing the plan in motion

He wasn’t sure what he expected to happen, but he assumed Alfred would have at least some level of resistance to his proposal

Instead, Alfred excitedly picked you up and began telling you about all the things he could bake and cook and how he’d decorate the ballroom and how glad he’d be to finally plan something different than a formal gala, especially if the whole family would attend

Dick was just left dumbfounded, but soon the excitement set in

oh yeah… the plan was in full motion now

also Bruce found out about it by pure coincidence when Alfred had him sign off on which decoration to buy and had to explain the whole thing since no one had remembered

Part 2 - Of Costumes and Chaos

The planning for the ‘Hallowayne’ party was still on the high when the next step of the halloween saga started

Since Alfred had made the party planning his full time job (beside the usual things he did in the Manor) and basically forbid anyone but Selena and Cassandra to help him out (even though he sometimes asked you for your opinion and took every of your reactions very serious) it left the rest of them with more than enough time to plan the part of the evening that they were probably most excited for

The costumes

The most invested in the idea were probably Dick, Stephanie and you

Stephanie was still hell bent on the idea of having matching costumes for her and Cass (and Ideally everyone else too, but she knew that was a fight she’d loose) and after she had thought about dozen of different possible ideas, she set her sight on Daphne and Velma from Scooby doo

Cass - who didn’t care about the whole costume thing too much - was actually rather happy about the idea

Dick was switching what he wanted to go as every second hour, but he almost always came back to one idea that was playing into the inside joke of his cereal addiction and so his siblings were pretty sure he’d stay with the whole ‘cereal killer’ costume

the rest of them either already had decided what they were going as or didn’t care so much as to plan it so far in advance (an exception was Jason who absolutely refused to tell anyone, even you, what he was going on but insisted it would blow their minds)

honestly Tim had been kinda worried he’d arrive in a joker costume and traumatise the entire family, but he gave Jason the benefit of the doubt, claiming him innocent until proven otherwise

Now what they were all very invested in was your costume

Because hell was unleashed after an off-side comment from Selina about how she had thought of making you a baby-Batman costume when you were still a baby, too young to decide for your own what you had wanted to dress up as (not that there really was a need to dress up since you’d spent the day in the manor anyways)

Oh, the inspiration that this comment gave the other family members

Because just! Im! ag! ine!

Little you in any of their costumes? They would die happy people

So of course that means war because you can only dress up as one of them

Prepare for all of them to try to smother you as much as they can and make you like them best (which they usually did as well, but this time it was x10)

They show you pictures of their costumes and told you about how cool they looked and why they looked so much cooler than any of the others

Damian even went so far to let you wear his cape around the house - something that you loved to do but were always forbidden from

Even Selina joined in, with the unfair advantage of the fact that it was just genetically for you to love cats

It slightly escalated from there on with everyone wanting you to pick them and once Bruce caught you with Jason’s helmet and a(n unloaded) gun running through the halls with your siblings chasing after you, he put down a strict rule that you could go as virtually everything you wanted as long as it wasn’t a hero

any hero at that, because while he didn’t the chaos within the manor to continue the way it did, he hated the idea of you wearing the costume of a different hero even more

after that they all tried to brainstorm ideas for which costumes would be best for you, but you changed interest so often that there was no way to find the best - especially since you yourself couldn’t choose

It was Damian who found the solution - more or less

It had been his turn to bring you to bed - a very desired task in the manor - and you had begged him to read you a story and since it had been your favorite tale from the moment you could think, he had chosen the copy of Alice in Wonderland that had belonged to the family ever since Bruce had been small

While he was reading about how Alice fell down the rabbit hole, your tired, little self just muttered: “I wanna be Alice… and you can be the white rabbit… alway so late…”

It was Saturday exactly one week before the party and one week and a day before Halloween since they had decided to throw the party a day before to give all their friends who had… other plans… on this very criminally active day of the year time for their secondary occupation. They had still no idea what you could go to the party as and by this point everyone else, except you, Tim, Damian and your parents had decided and bought / prepared everything for their own costumes. Now, almost all ideas had been thought of yet and none of them seemed to satisfy. Until that very Sunday, when Damian had left rather early with Titus and only came back in time for the weekly manor lunch that was usually attended by everyone available. This weekend it was only him, you, your parents and Tim who had had the time so it was rather calm that day. As you were munching on pancakes, sitting between Bruce and Selina, who were talking to Tim about their weeks and Wayne Ent. Damian and Titus came into the room and Damian was holding three filled-up Paper backs in his arms that he let promptly fall onto the table. “Oh, welcome back Damian, how was your… walk?” Selina greeted him, but posed the end of the sentence as a question considering that usually his walks didn’t end in shopping sprees. “It was agreeable, I have bought something.” “Yes, we can see that-” Bruce smiled at his son and motioned to the bags, “-what is it that you bought?” Instead of answering, Damian turned towards you and held his hand out. “Uhkti, would you mind coming with me for a moment?” “Uhu,” your answer was as happy as always as you quickly jumped off your chair and rushed into your brother's arms who, without so much of a second of consideration, picked you up along with one of the backs and disappeared into the next room over. The suspense was high as your parents and older brother all waited for Damian and you to return, fuelled by an outcry of joy and the giggles that followed that they heard coming from you. A few more minutes passed and the expectations and questions in the gathered people’s minds grew, but then the door opened again and Damian came inside wearing a headpiece with two white rabbit ears much to everyone's surprise. Looking stoic as ever, like he wasn’t even aware of what was on his head, he cleared his throat and straightened up as if preparing to make a declaration. And declare he did: “May I introduce to you: Alice.” Into the room you came, a black bow in your hair, wearing the typical baby-blue puffy dress along with a white apron, shiny black shoes and black and white striped tights. “Oh, Y/N honey, you look amazing,” Selina cued at you and even Bruce looked at you in awe, “ can you do a little twirl for us darling?” You did as you were told and relished in how the wide skirt flew through the air around you. “Damian, it’s perfect, thank you so much,” Bruce complimented his son who puffed his chest out in pride, “I suppose you’re going to be the white rabbit then, yes?” “Correct father, in fact, I have bought costumes for all of us?” “Really all of us?” “Yes, all of the people in this room, Drake,” Damian rolled his eyes at his brother as he pulled different things out of the bags and threw them in front of their respective recipients. In front of Bruce was a very extravagant top hat and the most...interesting… suit he had ever seen, Selina gave Damian a half amused-half annoyed glare at the bright purple/pink cat ears and literal cat-suit and Tim looked at the human-sized fabric card and suit that he had been assigned to. He was about to complain about having to be the servant character until he thought about how annoyed Dick would be that he wasn’t part of this group costume and was immediately happy about his costume.

Part 3 - The life of the party

The day of the Hallowayne-party had arrived and almost everyone was there

Diana had arrived in a very convincing Kleopetra costume and the vibe she was sending off was definitely fitting the character

The entire Kent family - meaning Clark, Lois, Jon, Conner and Kara - had arrived in a full on Addams family ‘cosplay’ with Clark and Lois rocking Morticia and Gomez, Kara and Conner shining as slightly to tall versions of Wednesday and Pugsley and Jon hiding his actual form behind a curtain of hair that made him unmistakingly cousin it

Some highlights throughout the rest of the guests (most of them other justice league members and others who were aware of the secrets of most guests) were: Barry going as guy Fieri, Kate dressed as a Shiebo from Kim possible, Titus who was wearing two more realistic versions of his head which gave him the appearance of the cutest version of Cerberus, Barbara who rolled into the room with a realistic mermaids tail making you ignore the conversation you had with Jon and rush over to her excitedly, completely entranced and Alfred and Duke who had, without planning, both bought the exact same mummy costume leading to the most seriously said: “Well, one of us is going to have to change,” that Alfred had ever and will ever say

The party was in full swing, everyone was having a great time talking, dancing, joking and eating the amazingly horrible looking, but great tasting, horror treats that Alfred had made

and then Jason arrived…

...wearing a superman costume

Most of the people found it hilarious - with Clark at the front - and the others (meaning: Bruce) were not all too amused by it

During the party, you talked to almost everyone in the room - everyone was delighted by your presence and they all complimented you on your costume - but constantly at your side were only Damian and Jon (who liked hanging out with you and Damian together because it made Damian more happy and a lot more soft because he refused to swear or threaten people in front of you)

People also wanted to compliment Damian’s rabbit costume but one very serious glare from him made them think twice about it

Cass and Steph - or Velma and Daphne as they wanted to be addressed that day and that day only - Dick, Tim, Jason and Duke also tagged along with you for a few minutes a time

Only late at night, it was almost one am and the party was still going strong even tho a few guest had had to leave at a point of time and then came back with a suspicious bruise or a piece of their costume missing, was when the peace and calm and enjoyable nature of the occasion was slightly disrupted

Jon had left your little gang to make a picture with everyone in his family so they could show of their costume in form of a picture on their mantlepiece

You had become a bit more quiet as the evening had progressed which no one could blame you for since it was a long time after your bedtime and you must have been tired, but when you asked Damian if he could get you one of the brain-cupcakes and a ‘blood’ soda, he told you to wait for him and went to get it for you

But when he came back, soda and cupcake in hand with Titus now trodding after him again after having spent most of the day lounging around the buffet…

...you were not there

all hell broke loose as the music was stopped and alfred asked if anyone knew your whereabouts over the microphone

After that it was like a search party started and it was almost as if no one remembered that they had super powers (especially the Kents) as they went about searching for you

It was Damian who had the only logical idea that evening…

“Where is she??? Is she under the buffet table?” “No I’ve already checked, behind the stage curtains?” “It’s a no show.” “SOMEONE BETTER FIND ME MY DAUGHTER OR I’LL GET HARLEEN HERE!” “Please calm down Selina, she can’t be far, I’m sure she’s okay...children, you better make sure your sister is okay or I’ll personally ground you from patrol for the next seventeen years. No, not seventeen, seven hundred!” “Damian, I think your family will start killing soon-” Jon turned to his best friend as they were walking through the halls of the manor still hearing the Wayne family’s shout, “-I mean I can’t blame them, really can’t, but I don’t think that they’ll find her that way, it’s not the best tracking taktic…” Damian suddenly turned to him with wide eyes. “Tracking… Jon you’re a genius,” he exclaimed - much to Jon’s surprise as he wondered if Damian was already starting to lose his mind after having “lost” his sister. He quickly followed his best friend who was seemingly searching for something different than his sister. What that something was was quickly revealed to him when Damian shouted: “Titus? Where are you boy?” through the manor. The - currently three headed - dog quickly came running towards the two of them, his tail wiggling excitedly. “Go find Ukhti Titus!” Damian said and immediately Titus started sniffing through the air as he walked around, searching for a trace. As the two boys followed him Jon questioned Damian. “Doesn’t he need..like…something she wore or stuff like that?” Damian rolled his eyes but explained anyway. “Titus is the best at what he does, he surpasses every K9-unit the police has to offer, but yes, even he usually needs something to get on the right smell, but since he spends most of his time in this house - and also with her - her smell is - for a lack of better words - saved within his memory.” As if he wanted to prove what his favorite person had just claimed, Titus straightened up before racing down one of the halls. Damian immediately started running after him and so did Jon, just with a bit more usage of Superspeed to keep up with the surprisingly fast dog. Titus came to a stop in front of the entrance doors to the ballroom that had been closed during the turmoil. Jon sighed. “I guess since she spent most of her day there, he must have smelled her here, too bad, it was worth a try at least.” “No, Titus isn’t that big of an amature, if he smells her here, she probably still is in there,” Damian defended his best animal friend and opened the door, Titus slipping through it as soon as it was opened wide enough and rushing towards one of the windows that had been hidden by balck-out curtains. “She couldn’t be- It can’t be this easy right?” Jon looked at Damian with wide eyes and after taking a deep breath, the latter opened the curtain and voila! There you were, curled together on the little bench that acted as a windowsill, your thumb in your mouth - a bad habit you couldn’t shake off yet - and your eyes peacefully closed in sleepy delight. Without so much of a moment of pause Titus jumped onto the sill and curled up beside you. Now peace was able to return.

Part 4 - Trick or Treaty

Once everyone had been informed that you were back and enough pictures of their cute sleeping alice (made even cuter by a sleeping cerberus), they brought the party back (and you into your bed)

Suspiciously enough not all too long after you had been put to sleep, Daphne aka. Cassandra disappeared and even though Stephanie (or Velma) claimed to have no idea where the partner in crime went, the picture of her sleeping with you lying on her chest all too comfy would suggest otherwise

On the actual day of Halloween you slept in for far longer than you usually would, but given how long you had been up the day before, Selina and Bruce decided to let you sleep in

But even once you woke up you were utterly exhausted and tired from all the action of the day before

You managed to power through the day, walking with Damian and Titus, ballet training with Cassandra and playing pirates with the one-eyes Captain played by Jason and his second in command the brave and fearless pirate-princess-fairy-witch played by you, but once the time for the much anticipated Trick or Treat tour with your parents and Dick (who insisted on coming along since it had been his idea), something had to happen…

obviously it had to, it wouldn’t be a Wayne-holiday if not

“Who is it this time? The Joker again? Or is it Scarecrow?” Bruce asked with a sigh as he came into the cave in his Batsuit, looking around the room. From everyone who was not on patrol, meaning Alfred, Damian, Dick, Bruce, Selina and Barbara, only Alfred and Damian, who Jon had invited over to watch horror movies which they couldn’t watch in the manor in risk of you catching sight of them, were not down in the cave. “No, it’s none of them-” Barbara answered as she typed away on her keyboard and pulled up live footage of a certain lady in green wreaking havoc, “-It’s Ivy, seems there were just a few too many slaughtered Pumpkins this year for her taste.” “Aunt Ivy,” you happily shouted, but it quickly got muffled by your mothers hand. She hadn’t yet been able to tell Bruce that Harley and Ivy had been made occasional babysitters for you. “Great, fine, Dick suit up, it’ll take more of us to handle her, we’ll leave in two so get ready quickly,” Bruce - not having heard you - commanded. “But-” “No buts Dick, I know,” Bruce sighed and turned to you, who was sitting on your mothers lap trying to read a book (your family had started teaching you reading and writing not too long ago since you were quite a smart toddler - not that they’d expect anything else from the child of two of the most capable people in Gotham). He came to kneel in front of the chair Selena sat on to get on eye level with you. “Hey pumpkin… I’m really sorry, but-” he shook his head disappointed at himself, “-I’m afraid Ricky and I won’t be able to go Trick and Treating with you today, but your mom-” “Actually-” Selena interrupted him in his explanation, “-I think it would be better if I came along with you. You know Ivy, she isn’t… the most rational of people. I’ll contact Harleen too, she’ll be able to calm her down, especially since it’ll be their two year anniversary not too soon.” “Are you sure, shouldn’t you stay here with Y/N and-” “It’s okay daddy, I had so much fun yesterday so I understand that you can’t go out with me today,” you smiled at him with a sort of understanding but also sadness, “I’ll just stay here with Rara,” you shrugged, earning you a wink and smile from Barbara before she turned back to her screens. “That’s very mature of you baby,” Selina complimented you and patted your head lovingly, “I’m promising you that we’ll make it up next year, okay?” “Really?” you asked a bit doubtingly, starting to play with your hands. “There’s no way I’d let something come in between, deal?” Bruce offered you his pinky finger and you gladly accepted. “Deal,” you smiled, letting both of your parents give you a kiss, before jumping down from your mothers lap and running over to Barbara who happily let you climb onto her lap and assigned you one of the screens where she let you play a child friendly car racing game. You were entranced in the game for a while and when you closed it and cuddled into Barbara who was still busy, your parents and brother had long left. “You’re really tired for someone who wanted to go trick or treating, princess, aren’t you?” Barbara mused as she took one hand off of the keyboard, not changing pace even though she was now only using one hand, to caress your cheek as you looked up at her. “Can I tell you a secret?” you tiredly yawned. “Always, little one.” “I am really sleepy so I didn’t actually want to go out today, but I didn’t want to disappoint Ricky…” your voice got quieter with every word as you drifted off into a soft sleep not aware at the heart eyes Barbara made at just how much like - and yet somehow un-like your family you were. She could just about imagine how things would turn out once you actually went trick or treating - but that would be a story for next year...

We all know the Batfam adore baby batsis reader, But I especially love the idea of Alfred carrying her around on his hip or a baby wrap. This proper english butler just walks through the store carrying a toddler dress in a hello kitty costume. Or his down in the cave with barbara on the computer and makes sure reader doesn’t slam her hands on the keyboard.

He’s definitely overprotective and say people tried to kidnap Wayne’s baby for ransom. Well you don’t have to worry about batman because this ex MI6 operative will handle it, they’ll make great fertilizer for the garden.

Yandere Alfred

Honestly yes because Alfred gives off such passive aggressive + petty vibes and I'm all for it.

And if its Alfred we're talking about, he's going to prefer to dress you into traditional baby outfits like tutus and frocks with polka dots and Mary Jane shoes, maybe a hat if you're not fussy. However, he's not against dressing you in cute HK onesies and Teddy bear outfits either. Hell, he even made you a "baby bat 🦇💫" shirt too.

He keeps baby talk to a minimum, usually resorting to talking to you like an adult but in a very gentle, calming tone. You're his venting buddy. Every morning he sits you in the high chair and as he spoon feeds you breakfast, he tells you all about his day and mostly complains about Bruce being unreasonable and not smart. He's so glad he's got a small girl in the house now and Alfred will work hard to make sure you're not corrupted by the rowdy boys. Although, now that he watches you jump off the high chair and he barely catches you, Alfred realises he might be a little late.

He enjoys sitting you in his lap and reading you books, you're always so fascinated by the colours of the books and all the animated gestures and sounds he makes.

When in the kitchen, Alfred straps you to his back and continues telling you about the recipe he's making today, giving you some fruit and veggies whenever your small hand reaches from behind. As soon as you hear the pan sizzle, you're wiggling your feet and wrighling around, babbling at Alfred to give you whatever he's cooked. You're far too impatient, but he has snacks prepared for you in advance on the side.

When he tucks you in bed, he always kisses your forehead. Which then means that he has to kiss the two dozen plushies beside you as well. Sorry, those are the rules you made.

Bruce walked in on Alfred crying because you called him "Paw paw!" Which he guessed was short for "Grandpa", and definitely not because he had been repeating that word to you for the past 3 months

A New Member of the Family (Damian Wayne X Sister!Reader)

Request: •Could I have one where Damian's older sister is pregnant and everyone's expecting him to be really cold cos he doesnt want a neice/nephew but he's entirely the opposite and constantly wants to be with y/n to make sure shes okay and when it gets to the point where you can feel the baby kick he's feeling, and he talks to the bump and hes also the first of his siblings to hold the baby.

You had come to the manor to get Bruce’s opinion on something important, and by the tone of your voice, Bruce knew it couldn’t wait. He took you to his office and sat with you, ready to listen and give his opinion on what was the best option of whatever you were about to ask.

You were the first born of Bruce Wayne, not adopted, but younger than both Dick and Jason, but still an adult nonetheless. Your mother left the picture when you were still a toddler and you have to give your dad credit- he did pretty good raising you, though he did need some help from Alfred every so often when certain topics came up, and also seeked help from Selina when you became a teenager and certain things started to happen… but he got the hang of it quickly. You were 18 when you were introduced to your 10 year old brother, who at first, despised you. Understandable, he had Talia as a mother.

You made the decision to stay away when he first arrived and was settling in, and after a few weeks, you came back, sat down with Damian, and asked him why he hated you. He was about to say something, until he realised he didn’t actually know. His mother had conditioned him to hate you but didn’t tell him why, and in those weeks he was starting to understand how his mother actually was. “I… don’t know.”

“That’s okay. I know it must be really confusing for you. I remember when dad brought Dick home, I threw a tantrum because I thought it meant he didn’t love me anymore. Do you think it’s a sort of jealousy thing? Fear that you’ll be second best?” You asked him softly.

“I think so… you’re nothing like how my mother said you were like.” He told you, making you smile. “Do you hate me?” He asked.

“No.” You answered quickly. “I get it. I know how you’re feeling. I might have had that jealousy when Dick arrived and even Jason, but now… it’s better to look at the positives. You’re never lonely, there’s always someone to talk to, people you can rely on… this is different because we’re actually biologically related- I’m your half sister… but that doesn’t change anything. You’re my brother, and my little one at that. Therefore it’s my job to look out for you, okay? If you need anything, or want to ask something but don’t want to tell dad, then you can talk to me, okay?” You told him. He smiled a little, and nodded. By the following week, Damian was stuck to your side and got upset whenever you had to leave for your own home, and your father jokingly begged you to stay so he didn’t have to deal with Damian’s tantrum after you’d left. You fixed this separation anxiety by giving Damian a phone to call you whenever and having sleepovers at the house on the weekends.

Knowing how close you and Damian were, the biggest sign that something was up when you arrived as that you didn’t greet Damian right away. “What’s going on?” Bruce asked you. He instantly saw the anxiety in you rise, your hands rubbing together and shuffling in your chair. “What’s wrong?” He fussed.

“Firstly… I’m pregnant.” You told him, cracking a smile as you said it, and your dad quickly grinned as well getting up and hugging you tightly.

“That’s good news, isn’t it?” He said and you nodded.

“Yeah, I’m stoked, but… I don’t know how to tell Damian.” You explained, and Bruce instantly understood. You had explained Damian’s mind set to him so he understood why he acted in certain ways and could help if you weren’t around. He didn’t like new people due to trust issues, and he was especially rough on new members of the family, due to his fear of being forgotten and neglected, and he needed assurance that he was still loved, and all this meant is that he had someone new to talk to, someone new to love, and that helped him open up more. Lastly, those he cared about, he was very attached to, and it was clear you were top of that list, even above Bruce. A baby would set off all of these issues. “I don’t want him to feel like he’ll have to compete with the baby, or that I won’t love him anymore, especially when the baby is actually born and I’ll have to take time away to actually look after the baby and I won’t see him as much… I don’t want him to feel like shit and hate his niece or nephew.” You explained your worries.

“What did you do last time something similar happened?” Bruce reminded, making you sigh but nod.

“Damian?” You called, knocking on his door. The door soon opened, and Damian grinned up at you, and you smiled before Damian hugged you, wrapping his arms around your waist, and you kissed the top of his head, hugging him back. “I got something big to tell you.” You told him. He looked up.

“Is it bad news?” He asked. You faltered a little.

“No. It’s not, but I don’t think you’ll like it when you first hear it.” You told him. Damian pouted, but let you in his room, and he sat on his bed, and you came and sat beside him.

“Is father adopting someone else?” He asked. You laughed lightly, but shook your head.

“No, but there is gonna be a new member to the family soon.” You told him.

“Father got someone pregnant?”

“Why do you always presume the worst from dad?” You asked, making him cheekily giggle. “No, he didn’t… but I am pregnant.” You told him. Damian’s expression instantly shifted.

“You’re having a baby?”

“Yeah.” You told him softly, wanting to keep his calm behaviour as much as possible. What you weren’t expecting was his confused expression.

“How?” He asked. Ah yes, you forgot, he was made through… abnormal ways, and Talia never really told him about the birds or the bees.

“Have they not got around to that at school yet? I swear I learnt about sex when I was your age.” You commented.

“You had sex? Ew!” Damian stuck his tongue out, making you laugh. So he had learnt about it, they’d just not told him yet about how the two things connected… You leant back, resting on your arms. “That’s how you make a baby?”

“Yep.”

“Where’s the baby?” He asked. Wow, you really needed to sit down with him at some point and give him a proper rundown on the whole thing. You pointed to your belly and poked it softly.

“In here.” You told him.

“A baby won’t fit in there.”

“It’s only 4 months old right now. It’s the size of an avocado, it’s still growing.” You told him. “It’s got another 5 months in the oven before it’s ready to come out, and they’ll be about the size or a watermelon when it’s ready to come out.” You explained. You laid down properly on his bed and flattened your shirt, showing a bit of swelling of your belly that wasn’t there last time Damian checked.

“Your belly’s gonna be huge.” He commented, making you hum. There was a silence for a second. “Does it hurt? Growing a human?”

“Not right now. I’m getting morning sickness but it’s not too bad. But when I get bigger it’ll be harder to walk, it’ll hurt my back and such… and then there’s the actual birth. That’s really bad.” You told him.

“It sounds dangerous.” He grumbled. You sat up, leaning on your arms again. “Is it?”

“...Yeah. I’m out of the time where I’m most likely to miscarry and lose the baby, but it’s still a possibility, but there’s other things. It changes my entire body and how it works. I might get clots which are dangerous, I might not be able to push the baby out and might need to be cut open to get it out… there’s probably hundreds of things that can go wrong, but they’re unlikely. My doctor’s always making sure everything is okay and if they’re worried that I might be of risk of something, then they’ll come up with solutions.” You explained to him.

Damian sat up properly, crossed his legs and looked onto his lap. You sat up properly as well and leant down to try and look at his face. “Damian, talk to me. Tell me what’s going through your head.” You asked softly.

“You said you’d look out for me… when I first came here…” He mumbled. You sighed, putting a hand on his back and rubbing it.

“I know it’s gonna be a lot to adjust to, and this is gonna be different from getting a new brother or sister, since this is your nephew or niece, but we’ve got a few months before the baby arrives to go through any questions you have and to prep so you know what to expect… babies are hard work and that means when it’s first born I might not be able to be around as much, but once it settles down…”

“You’re vulnerable right now, right? You’re making a baby, that means if you get hurt both you and the baby will be hurt?” He asked, looking up. You nodded. “Then I’ll look after you. Like how you always look after me. It’s my turn now.” He told you sternly, full of determination. That was new, and it made you laugh out of shock if anything, before you calmed down to a smile. “And you said babies are hard work when they’re born- what if you moved in while the baby is still little and we’ll all help- I’ll make Jason do all the dirty work.” He told you, making you laugh again.

“Okay, I’ll think about it.” You told him. “I’m surprised you’re taking it so well, I was worried that you’d feel like you were being replaced or something.” You told him.

“I’m the baby’s uncle, so it’s my job to protect her.”

“Her?” You raised an eyebrow. “You think it’s a girl?” You asked. He nodded. “Okay, tell you what, if it is a girl, I’ll let you name her.”

“It is a girl.” He said, convinced.

“We’ll see. Now come on, lets see how the others react to the news.”

Everyone was pretty surprised when they learnt of how well Damian had took the news, and even more how committed he was to both you and the baby. He was bugging you on a near daily basis since the announcement about when you were gonna move in so he could look after you, and so at 6 months you did so, mostly because of your other brothers and sisters begging you to just to shut him up, and as soon as you agreed to pack some bags, Damian became even more attached. He followed you around the house to make sure you were okay, only leaving you alone when he was at school or when he was on night duty (which he’d talked his father into reducing so you weren’t alone in case something happened). He asked any and all questions to you, your midwife, Alfred and Bruce to find out everything he should and could know, and also to know what he could do to help.

“Is she ready to come out yet?” Damian asked every morning starting when you reached 9 months. He asked it when he brought you breakfast in bed which started at 8 months. He would come and sit beside you and talk with you while you ate, and if he didn’t have school he would stay with you, help you do some exercise and stretches and helped put together the temporary nursery in the manor for when the baby arrived. However by this point the nursery was ready, and he had packed a hospital bag with you, so now it was all relaxing and waiting. However, this morning was special. Your due date was just a little less than a week away, and you’d woken up…

“I think I had a contraction earlier.” You informed him. He immediately perked up, both in excitement but also terror of ‘oh god it’s actually happening’. “Relax, okay? I’ll have breakfast and then we’ll go get Alfred, labour can take hours and I think it’s going to take a while for the little one to come out.”

Damian was shuffling every few seconds as you ate at your own pace, taking breaks when a contraction hit, though they were ages away from each other. “Want me to get the bag?”

“You can get it when I’m getting dressed okay?” You told him calmly as you finished your drink, before you swung your legs over the bed, and Damian bolted to get the bag, and poked his head out of the door.

“Y/N is having contractions!” He called into the house, making you chuckle as you heard feet thundering and knocking on the door to make sure you were okay. Damian opened the door, shoving everyone out and taking the bag with him. You got dressed, leaving the room with everyone ready.

It took quite a while for your water to break at the hospital, but when it did things definitely started to speed up, and the midwife asked who you’d like in the room during the birth. “Damian..?” You turned to your brother, who already looked scared whenever a contraction hit and could tell you were in pain. “Would you like to wait outside?”

“What-no! What if something happens?” He panicked. You shushed him, reaching out and holding his hand.

“Damian, I can see you’re getting upset, and it’s just going to upset you more when it’s time to push… it’ll be okay, I promise… dad will look after me, okay?” You told him. He looked up at Bruce who smiled reassuringly. “It’ll be okay… you picked a name if it’s a girl?”

“...Yeah it's a surprise though… and it is a girl.” He told you, making you laugh at little. He was still insistent on it being a girl. Dick led him out, followed by Jason, Steph, Cas and Tim, leaving you with Alfred and Bruce.

“Okay, lets get this show on the road.” You said, making both your dad and adoptive grandfather chuckle, taking your hands.

Damian was practically sat right outside the door waiting for the all clear that he could come back in. He heard your cries in pain and that made him shuffle and look up to his other siblings. “She’ll be alright, right?”

“Yeah, she’s fine buddy. This is normal, birth just hurts like a bitch.” Stephanie told him.

“More than a broken bone?”

“Try multiple at once.” She answered, seeing the boy gulp and looked down a little but still looking at the door. Jason came over, kneeling down and putting his arms around his little brother softly, remembering how you’d do it with him. For once Damian didn’t shrug him off.

“She’ll be okay, Damian. She’s tough, she’s your sister after all. She’ll be fine.” He assured him. He heard a very soft mumble of an okay in response. It was then that Damian perked up. “What’s up.”

“She’s stopped screaming.” He said. Everyone stood, and Damian scrambled up. Everyone waited in silence until the door opened, being greeted by Alfred. He smiled, and let them in. Damian ran at almost full speed, stopping just as quickly as he saw you. Your hair was stuck to your face from sweat, but you were smiling and holding a little bundle of blankets. He heard the little noises coming from inside the blankets.

“Wanna meet your niece?” You asked him with a tired soft voice. Damian’s eyes lit up.

“I was right?”

“Sure was.” You grinned. Damian bounced over to your side, Bruce stepping to the side so he could be closer, Damian resting his head on your shoulder to look at the baby. Bruce put his hand on his son’s shoulder. Jason came and sat on the end of the bed, Dick leaning on the bed frame at the end, Tim and Stephanie going beside Alfred and Cassandra stood beside Bruce, trying to sneak peak, and Bruce once again moved to the side so she could be closer as well, not able to see over Damian’s shoulder. “So, what name did you pick?” You asked.

“Amelia. It means trustworthy and beautiful in Arabic… I know she’s not-”

“I like that name. I really love it.” You told him. “Do you want to hold her?” You asked him.

“I can do that?”

“Yeah, come here.” You told him, shuffling over slightly and patted the bed, and Damian jumped up, and you carefully handed your daughter to him, and both you and Bruce helped him figure out how to hold her.

“She’s tiny. She feels really light.” Damian was whispering as he looked down at his niece.

“I’m holding her next.” Dick spoke up.

“Yeah good luck getting Amelia off of Damian.” Tim said, watching as Damian was too focussed on the baby, tickling her cheek.
