Was anyone going to tell me that Gale Dekarios was in Good Omens?
I was listening to Mr.street-merchants'-meeting ramble on and I'm like
Wait
I know that voice
So I checked the cast and it's Tim freaking Downie
Anyway ever since realizing that I keep thinking about a hypothetical scene, Tara fell through the wrong portal and, while looking for something to help fix it, hears the familiar voice of her dear Mr. Dekarios.
She gets upset when she realizes it is not in fact Gale but a Mr. Brown, who is quite baffled by the appearance of a winged cat.
Maybe she can run into Crowley and they have a little Adventure trying to get her back where she belongs

felt like starting a fight (/j) so here's my headcanons as to the batfamily's hogwarts houses. these are just my thoughts! would love to have a (friendly) discussion about it with you though :) I love shared brainrot.
tim - ravenclaw. the kid's a fucking genius. to the point where it's damaging. personally I'd say that ravenclaw is the house with the caffeine intake problem. he's absolutely a seeker for the quidditch team but he's running off of six cups of coffee every time he plays.
jason - hufflepuff. hot take I know. but think about it this way: he's not necessarily any more brave or daring than the others. he's not a brilliant genius for its own sake. he's not necessarily ambitious or cunning. he is, however, incredibly loyal to his friends and family. he's always looking out for others. he's genuinely caring. and puffs aren't necessarily Good. just true to their ideals.
dick - honestly? slytherin. remember ric grayson? remember spyral? remember his stint as batman? cunning and ambitious to a T. he's a fluffy slytherin and probably confuses the shit out of underclassmen but he's a slytherin.
damian - slytherin.
stephanie - gryffindor. brave and daring -- she had no formal training and just decided to be a robin. pretty daring. babygirl jumps off of buildings for fun. stood up to her own father.
cass - hufflepuff. kind and caring and loyal. protective of her friends and her ideals. especially her ideals.
babs - gryffindor. she got shot in the spine and paralyzed and she still decided she was going to help fight crime. that's some serious bravery there. she's kind of the definition of indomitable.
duke - probably gryffindor? this is just the vibes he gives off I don't have actual logic aside from the absolute craziness that was the we are robin movement. that's pretty daring.
honorable mention harper row - ravenclaw. she builds so much crazy shit.
and bruce - slytherin. ambitious, cunning... it's really only the pragmatism that's missing but considering protecting everyone is his goal and there aren't many lines he won't cross to do that... yeah.

Family is just not blood. It can be a traumatized man, who dresses as a goddamn bat. The butler who raised him, an orphaned acrobat, a smart kid living in the bad part of town, a kid who just wanted Batman to have another robin, a girl raised to be a weapon, a son raised across the world from him trained by assassin's, and a teenage boy whosecs parents are joker victims. It comes from bonding over one small things that leads to years of happiness. It comes with bumps and bruises, quite days, fights that are practically feral, and this feeling of love.

BatFam as "Shit My Friends' Have Said" Part 3
Jason: “Don’t worry- Babs’ parents aren’t rich enough to sue you.”
Tim, quietly: “But mine are.”
Dick: “If someone at my funeral said I gave good head, I’d be happy from beyond the grave."
Damian: “I feel like all birds are autistic. No I will not be explaining further.”
Jason: “I’m back on the market. Prices went up but quality went down. Ya know?”
Steph: "You cannot convince me that I am not drop dead gorgeous."
Tim: "Considering the amount of times you get ghosted I can believe the drop dead part."
Bonus, Bat-Fam in-law:
Roy: “I can yell and scream at people just as well with one hand than I can with two.”

i bet jason todd thinks hes the most normal in the family. like, sure, he kind of died, but besides that, he's so normal. i mean, seriously - out of a circus kid, two trained assassins, the demi-god, tim, and the furry, who's REALLY the most normal. smh.
this is obviously a lie (the most normal is either steph or tim. tim's only flaw is being unstable and rich. steph is literally just a teenage girl ok. and also "most normal" in the batfam is like being the most unfunny clown in the car)

SONG OF THE WEEK: "People Medley: Everyday People + Fishers of Men + One for the Pastor” https://johnnyjblairsingeratlarge.bandcamp.com/track/people-medley-everyday-people-fishers-of-men-one-for-the-pastor-2 ...I share this in advance of Juneteenth, falling this week on the 19th (if you don’t know about Juneteeth I encourage you to look it up).
Sly Stone wrote “Everyday People” as a plea, proclaiming "I am everyday people" to mean that everyone (band member and audience) should consider themselves as parts of a whole, not of smaller, specialized factions. Rose Stone (Sly’s sister) sang the bridge sections using the cadence of a children's taunt, mocking the futility of people hating each other for being tall, short, rich, poor, fat, skinny, white, black, red, yellow “…and so on and scooby dooby dooby.”
I recorded this in 2000 with a “funk/soul academy” of contributors, including drummer Jab’O Starks, best known for his years with James Brown. He was a prince to work with. I was honored to play 4 gigs with “dueling drummers” Jab’O + Clyde Stubblefield, billed as James Brown’s Funkmasters. During dinners with both men, I soaked up their “war stories” about music, the Chiltlin’ Circuit, and “making it” during the days of segregation. There are many more “back stories” behind this track...
