Don't talk to me about wasted potential in the '12 series until you've seen how Tiger Claw was kicked into a ditch and pierced with a dagger.
This man came all the way from Japan and swore his loyalty to Shredder instead of remaining solo (something he's shown to be evidently great at throughout the series). There isn't a single fight involving him where only one of the turtles were able to take him down, and he easily overpowered pre-mutation Karai without needing to lift a finger.
He had his own set of morals and values, namely his acknowledgement of kids being involved in the fight and making them recognize the consequences of dealing with him. He was ruthless in an admirable way that didn't reflect the twisted selfishness of his boss, and it was so satisfying to see such an interesting and strong character develop suspicions towards Shredder despite starting off on his side. The chances of him completely becoming a good guy were slim to none, but anti-heroes are a thing, and people love them when done right.
So why tf was Tiger Claw still trailing behind Shredder after everything that happened🧐
Maybe he felt bad for the crispy man getting kicked into submission idk
He most certainly saw Shredder attempt to off Splinter and subsequently send the Earth into its early grave, and even if he hadn't seen that happen, he's been calling Shredder's actions into question long before S4, so what gives? Xever got his chance to throw up a peace sign and get out of dodge, why and how did Tiger Claw turn into the leader of a cult that worships Shredder's very being?? Then he eventually just gives up with little to no warning and makes a promise of peace once everything was over with???
I wonder how many people know that Maria's animals are the Four Symbols from Chinese/East Asian mythology. Didn't pick it up until the turtle appeared but when I tell you I screamed
