Ghost x Reader x Soap: Alien AU

You got abducted awhile ago, and has been trapped in a cell ever since. The only good thing so far is that the aliens all seem to be frightened of you.

Every single day since the first has practically been the same which is why when you hear a lot of noise coming you instinctively move to the back of your cell. Which seems to be the right move because just a few moments later the door is being opened, and a figure is being thrown inside. The door just as quickly is slammed shut once more.

This is the first time you meet Soap. He looks like what you assume a werewolf might look like. Once he sees you though it's not fear on his fear, but surprise; at least you would assume so it's hard to tell when dealing with an alien species. What surprises you though is when he say 'Hello' ... in English. You cried tears of joy for the first time in this cell upon hearing a single word.

The days that pass after that are filled with you and Soap learning how to communicate with one another. He can speak very minimal English, but that is enough for you to put some trust in him. After all another human must have taught him right?

Soap also seemed very interested in keeping you close to him anytime one of the other aliens visited your cell. Always keeping you behind him as he seemingly yelled at them. It's clear that they had planned for you to kill Soap. You know you had been aggressive towards them, but did they really think you would just kill him?

It's a few days of this before they take things into there own hands in getting rid of Soap. Two alien guards show up, and open the door to the cell and attempt to grab Soap. What they don't account for though is when he fight backs you do too. This might be your only chance out of here; you're not going to waste this.

Surprisingly, you two actually do mange to defeat them. Soap does do most of the work, but you still helped as much as you could. As soon as their down he's grabbing onto your hand, and dragging you out into the hall. He had to know more than you so you willingly followed.

It was good you did as well because after a few minutes alarms are blaring through the ship. That doesn't seem to affect Soap though as he continues to lead you around. Eventually you arrive at a door, and before you can even question what's happening Soap is pushing you inside.

Looking around you saw that this was some must be some kind of emergency pod. The first thing Soap does is help you with the straps to your seat before finally taking the drivers seat; starting up the pod up as fast as he can when someone starts banging on the door.

That doesn't seem to affect Soap though as you two very suddenly are taking off at speeds you've never experienced before. Once far enough away the speed slows to be more manageable to handle. He turns towards you, and says 'safe' and 'sleep'. And you do after all the day you've had all you want to do is sleep. You assume Soap knows what to do, and doesn't seem to want to ditch you anytime soon.

The next time you wake up it's because of a loud beeping sound filling the air. Looking out you see that you are actually entering another ship. Panic fills your veins as you look at Soap. He on the other looks to be the calmest you've ever seen him. Soap must know this ship, and hopefully trusting him won't turn out bad for you.

Seeing you're discomfort Soap puts a comforting hand on your shoulder before encouraging you out of the pod now that your fully landed inside. Everything seems to be calm as you step out, but that is before door leading farther in the ship opens up.

The first thing you notice about this new figure is that they have an eerily human look. What concerns you though is the mask that they're wearing; it's looks like a human skull. You instantly think that you've made a mistake trusting Soap.

The figure and Soap quickly move towards each other, and once in reach are pulling the other into an embrace. You watch as Soap whispers something into there ear, and in an instant there eyes are snapping towards were you stand still near the pod door.

Taking a hesitant step towards you they reach up to remove the mask. Underneath is a balaclava, but that's not what get your attention. What gets your attention is the distinct human eyes. The man in front of you is human.

He introduces himself as Ghost.

saying words meant little to sanemi would be an outright lie. they meant everything. he knew people said ‘actions speak louder than words,’ but somehow he found that they could be equally impactful. whether negative… given or taken, such as with genya, or positive… like with giyuu. giyuu. god, he loved giyuu so much. they had been together since even before muzan’s death. perhaps they hadn’t quite used the term ‘dating’ to their relationship, but they had been utterly and completely in love. at least, sanemi had been. he knew that.

giyuu wasn’t much for words, showing his affection through touches and gifts. it wasn’t hard to tell he didn’t talk that much. at least, not now. after all, that had been the very reason he’d stood out to sanemi. his infuriating habit of staying quiet, elaborating little to nothing. but now, he seemed to be making an effort to speak. especially to sanemi.

the first time he had said ‘i love you’ to him… needless to say, sanemi would not let him go. never. and, at least, he knew now that there wasn’t a constant threat of death lingering behind them. he would make use of the few years they had left.

the second time giyuu had said ‘i love you’ was lost in the wind. but the third, fourth, fifth,…sixteenth, seventeenth, eighteenth times followed quickly after. sanemi had turned, only catching on to one word. his hair flicked his face and giyuu laughed. sanemi’s scowl was just for show as he strode forward, taking giyuu into his arms and pulling him closer by the waist.

“what did you say?” he’d asked. they were closer now. the cool air struggled to squeeze between their bodies.

“i love you,” giyuu said, a smile accompanying the words. the wind batted his hair, making it fly erratically. he’d had urokodaki, his mentor as a child, help him cut it. it was short now—he’d lost the ponytail. he still looked completely and absolutely adorable.

“say it again,” sanemi breathed. he bent his head down, pressing his lips to giyuu’s neck. “please.”

“i love you.” giyuu allowed better access, turning his head to speak into sanemi’s ear. “i love you, sanemi.”

“again.”

“i love you.”

and again, and again, and again, and again. i love you. i love you, sanemi. i love you, giyuu. a kiss. lips to his jaw. his nose, his cheeks, his lips. i love you, i love you, i love you. godfuck, giyuu, i love you so much.

words meant everything to sanemi. especially when they came from giyuu. with that sweet, angelic voice. the smile that felt like a slice of heaven.

he loved him. giyuu loved him. giyuu loved sanemi.

“fuck. i love you, giyuu. i love you so goddamn much.”

he loved him too much.

Vash's Profile  Height: I haven't decided. But he's around 180 cm (5.9 ft) (5'11")

Name's origin : Stampede is a nickname/ street name. It means 'runaway cattle'.

Change in hair color: There is a reason. But I can't tell you yet.

Coat's weight: Not sure. It would be quite light so he can run and move in various ways.

Vision: Pretty good. His visual acuity is also good. Plus, his ability to make last-minute decisions in times of crisis and his reflexes to make the most out of close chances are what keep him alive. It's not like he has supernatural powers.

Living expenses: He also works as a bodyguard, etc... So I guess that's how he earns his daily money. It's stable and he doesn't use money wastefully.

How long it takes to get dressed: I haven't decided on that. Since he wears those clothes every day, wouldn't it be pretty fast?

Wolfwood's Profile

Height: Not sure. But he is a little taller than Vash. About 1 to 2 cm taller (about 1 inches).

Name's origin: It's a pun. Tortoise Matsumoto is the model, so the name came from Ulfuls. The D in his middle name stands for "ドコノクミノモン ジャワレスマキニシテシズメタロ カコラ"(Dokonokuminomon Jawaresu Makinishi Teshizu Metallo Kakora) (laughs) TL Note: I think what he meant is the "Wolf" in WW's name (ウルフウッド) came from Ulfuls (ウルフルズ) - a Japanese rock band (The aforementioned Tortoise Matsumoto is the vocalist of the band) as a reference. The middle name, D, is "Where (D)o you belong?" It is an abbreviation of "Dokono~" in English. Smoking amount per day: I don't know. Well, I was thinking he would smoke a lot. But cigarettes seem expensive, so he might be smoking with a toothpick/stick.

Clothing (light clothing): The reason for the simple clothes is because it's would be hard to draw him holding the cross otherwise. The cross alone can make him stand out.

Dialect (he speaks in the Kansai dialect in Japanese): Since they are in an English-speaking setting, he is not actually speaking the Kansai dialect. Please think of it as an accent expression.

Gun's name: Punisher. Are you punishing the enemy or yourself?

Gun's weight: I feel like it weighs over a hundred-something kgs (> 240lbs). He carries it well. He must have great balance to be able to wield/swing it.

The size of the gun: about 170 cm (5.6 ft) (5'7") on the long side?

How long it takes to rewrap the cloth after using the gun: Not sure. I guess he would have to pick up the cloth, rewrap it, and carefully fasten it with belts. In order to look cool, you have to work on the little things.

This is kind of a pointless post, but I've been watching Asian BLs for just over nine months, now, and it's just been so nice? And it's still so nice! I don't know. I've spent at least two decades seeking out whatever queer media I could find (I'm still kinda mad at myself that I never stumbled across these shows earlier) and it's been great and there are so many wonderful films and a handful of shows I've enjoyed but I was getting burnt out on not being able to find what I was looking for or of yet another wrong person, wrong place kind of romance. Which are nice! But sometimes I just wanted more fluff. And now I've stumbled into an abundance of it, along with so much more.

It's just... the variety and the accessibility and the sheer number of happy endings!! And they're shows so I can really sink into the stories, which is lovely. It's just... So nice, you know? I'm still having the time of my life and I'm so excited for everything I still haven't seen and all the shows yet to come!! I wanted to write a longer post, but I don't really have anything to say. Guess I just wanted to let everyone know it’s been nice! 😂

The truth is that TV show formats should be like movie lengths : the length of the seasons should vary based on the story's needs instead of being pre-decided. Some stories would need 10 episodes seasons, some would need 16, some only 8, some 13, etc. As long as the crew is not forced to produce an insane amount full of low-quality episodes just to please the tv channels then it should be good. And as long as the crew isn't forced to cut out and rush everything they had planned just to please the risk-averse streaming services then it should be good too. Of course, we unfortunately don't live in a world that values artistic goals over money so most things are in fact Not Good and most crews are exhausted and/or disappointed anyway...

the thing is that my job is genuinely like. fine. theres nothing really wrong with it i mean some of the people there are incompetent and i work long hours but my supervisor is genuinely really competent and pleasant and cares. and im actually kind of helping in a process that is Valuable. its important for people to know whats wrong with them medically.

but at the end of the day what is the point. what is the point of running myself into the ground when the money im being paid is barely enough to survive on and what i dont get of my paycheck goes to the government so they can keep sending weapons of mass destruction overseas so more innocent people can die. and even what im doing is tainted by the fact that i Know a Lot of the people seeing doctors and getting testing done are running their savings dry doing it. if the people getting medical procedures are emptying their bank accounts but IM not getting paid enough and the DOCTORS AND NURSES arent getting paid enough and the PHLEBOTOMISTS arent getting paid enough and the COURIERS arent getting paid enough then where is all the fucking money going.

A/N: angst, Cyno doesn’t actually appear here, alhaitham and lumine is meant to be platonic but ig it could be romantic?

“I’ve said the things I needed to say, that I wanted to say, in all the ways I know how,” a brief look of frustration crosses Alhaitham’s face.

He sighs, leaning back into his chair.

The frustration is gone and is replaced by a rather forlorn look. “I’ve tried everything,” he continues quite heartbroken. “But Cyno just doesn’t listen.”

He runs a hand through his hair before letting it fall on the table.

“I want this, more than anything. I’ve worked hard to get things right, to contort myself into someone worth Cyno’s regard. I’ve changed myself in every possible way to get into his graces. I love him unwaveringly. And yet, nothing.”

Lumine feels his longing, his heartache, and reaches over to rest her smaller hand over his. She rubs her thumb along the back of his hand, trying desperately to provide some sort of comfort to her friend.

Alhaitham doesn’t reject it, so she counts it as a win.

“I think,” she begins after a few moments, “you have to ask yourself if this is even worth it anymore.”

Surprisingly, Alhaitham is quiet and doesn’t counter.

“I know you love him. But if he’s not willing to try, then maybe it’s time to let him go. So you can finally rest.”

She lets him mull over her words. It’s a heartbreaking thought, Alhaitham letting Cyno go. Loving Cyno is something Alhaitham expertly knows. Something he’s always known.

Lumine wonders how Cyno could easily dismiss the love, the utter adoration, this man holds for him.

She wonders how many times Alhaitham’s feelings have been thrown back in his face all because people think he and emotions simply don’t mix.

“Love hurts,” she concedes, “but it should never bring you down the way your love for Cyno has.” She grips his hand slightly as if that will make her point more clear. “And if Cyno isn’t willing to listen, then frankly he doesn’t deserve your affections.”

For a few moments, Alhaitham says nothing. Lumine’s grip on her friend’s hand doesn’t waiver.

Finally though, he intertwines their hands, and drawing in a shaky breath he nods.

He lets go.
