I’m gonna make a little happy “rant” here about Lloyd from Ninjago and just the cartoon in general.

I’ve always liked Lloyd. Ever since I was a kid, he was the one who I favorited over the others. Sure, Kai is awesome, Cole is super inspiring, Nya is an absolute baddie, Jay is funny, Zane is real cool, Pixal is an amazing robot girlfriend and samurai, Skylor is such a cool and strong female character to look up to, and etc. (Dareth, Nelson, Sensei Wu, Garmadon, Morro, Cyrus Borg…)

And yeah, a lot of people “like Lloyd” because he’s the “Green Ninja” or he’s “super cool”, but for me… that’s not it (I mean, a bit of it is, hehe. But not all of it). And as I become older in my teenage years, I’ve honestly been thinking about it a lot. I’ve been thinking about why I like this Lego character so much, and why this is the only “children’s” show I actually fan over where I can watch the show over and over throughout the years, write fanfics for hours on it, and spend my money on the sets and merch…

***Now I should probably say before I start, I’m not some crazy obsessive fan lmao. I just really like this character and show, and I want to shine some light on Lloyd (differently than he already receives, of course lol).***

Lloyd has been through a lot, yet he still came out as stable as he is (at least as much as the cartoon shows to the audience). One thing about Ninjago I like is how they make the characters realistic. I didn’t particularly realize this until I got older and I re-watched it, but all Ninja have a unique story before, during, or after they became Ninja. Though one thing that differs Lloyd from the rest is how young he was when he clearly knew his situation with his father, mother, “Ninja-acknowledgement”, family, etc. And I know what a lot of people are going to say, “But what about Kai and Nya? Cole? Possibly Skylor?” And I know, I agree. Unfortunately, all the ninja had to grow up with something traumatic in their childhood (the only one who didn’t was Jay; though later he had to find out he was adopted, which stinks finding out the way he did. I’m just glad Ed & Edna were as amazing as they were <3). The one thing that all the rest of the ninja have besides Lloyd within these situations, is they all still had *someone*. Kai had Nya, Nya had Kai. Cole still had his father, even under the circumstances. Skylor still had her father and etc with the rest. Lloyd had *no one* as a kid, and it makes me want to give his little baby-self in seasons 1-2 a massive hug.

I remember when I watched seasons 1-7 (especially 1-2) as a middle schooler, I thought little and early-teen Lloyd was so annoying (still do). But now, years later, it makes me really sad to think about his story. He’s the only ninja who had received *no* love from his parents or anyone around him until he met the ninja, and even then he later had to learn what *that* meant and how to have self-love… which he still has trouble doing a lot of the time throughout all the seasons. It makes me want to give him an even bigger hug!

And one thing about Lloyd I truly admire, is even through all of this crap, he *still* cares about his mother and forgives her so easily! The way his mother abandoned him as a child I completely disagree with, and how she just left him saying she was doing it for “him” (even though it *really* was for herself), and yet he STILL treats her kindly and respectfully, which is amazing of him. Now I’m not saying you shouldn’t forgive, it’s just how he accepted it like a champ is something that is completely admirable. Especially with how young he really was…. You have to remember Lloyd was only around 10-ish years old around seasons 1-2, yet he was able to accept his mother with opened arms. And sure, he probably was only doing this because he was attention-starved (explains why he wanted to become like his father as a kid), emotionally-starved, and starved for love, yet still as he got older and probably realized this more and more about his mother and their relationship, he still has *always* treated her with respect and kindness. And sure, people within this fandom get mad at how bitty Lloyd acted, yet we also have to remember how he was raised, which really wasn’t being “raised” at all.

Then we go into Garmadon and Lloyd’s relationship, which is a whole other can of worms. Yet unlike Misako, Lloyd’s mother, as a fan I 100% respect Garmadon as a parental figure than I ever will for her. Sure, he’s the biggest and baddest villain throughout the series. And sure, he too abandoned his son; yet unlike Lloyd’s mother, Garmadon made *up* for that time lost, and personally, I give him my upmost respect for that. He gave his son what he was lacking in receiving from his parents, and actually *cared* enough to do that for Lloyd. He showed his son what if felt like to actually be loved by your parent (in his own ways of course), he gave his son attention, and he showed what it was like to have an emotional connection with your child. GARMADON ACTUALLY SOMEWHAT HAD A REASON TO ACT THE WAY HE DID, HE WAS BITTEN BY A SNAKE THAT MESSED HIM UP FOR LIFE, YET UNLIKE MISAKO HE *STILL* TREATED LLOYD MORE AMAZING THAN SHE EVER COULD. Yet instead, throughout the 5 most healthy seasons of Garmadon and Lloyd’s relationship, especially seasons (3-5), SHE DIDN’T EVEN PUT IN THE EFFORT TO MAKE THIS A FAMILY RELATIONSHIP! Instead, she was hanging with Wu, Lloyd’s uncle. And I know for a fact we *all* know something’s going on there, which as a kid I even noticed, and I absolutely hated even then!!! Misako would pop in like everything was fine and dandy every-so-often, and yet Lloyd STILL treated her amazingly!!! That’s why Lloyd is my favorite! No matter what anyone does to him, says to him, or how he is treated, he still cares for them! He still wants them to have a happy ending, and he hasn’t even had his yet. It makes me really happy that he had the opportunity to meet the ninja, because without them as the loving family they are, I don’t think he would *at all* be the same kind-hearted character he is. The real loving people in his life are the team, and even though this is all fake and just a “silly” cartoon as some would call it, I’m GLAD he was given such a loving atmosphere.

Then we go into Seasons 8-16. Lloyd grew up, finally caught up mentally to his body (which I found terrible that he had to go thru that, yet he STILL acted like a champ when there were no expectations to!!!) and this is where I like his character even more. Still, even through all the darkness and pain he had to go through growing up (it gets worse as he gets closer to adult-hood), he still acts amazing! His father now isn’t his real father anymore, his mother is completely gone into oblivion (gone like she always has been, pfft), and he falls in love with someone who manipulates him because she herself is broken! (And yes, I probably should say now that I do ship Llorumi. Some of you may think I’m crazy, which I am lol, but I also have my reasons for supporting it, and I will most likely (someday) make a post like this explaining why I do, but right now we’re focusing on Lloyd. ;)) Yet Lloyd *still* forgives, accepts, and loves!!! After years of thinking about and watching this show, I’ve finally narrowed it down to those three attributes within him that I’ve seen consistently throughout the series. I believe we should all look up to Lloyd for this! Just being able to forgive and love the same people who had hurt and abused him, is truly a wonderful thing a person can achieve!

Plus, Lloyd is also funny, entertaining, and would be an amazing person if he were to be real. Sure, he has his own stuff he stores deep inside of himself, and he probably jokes as much as he does because he’s trying to make everything look okay, but ya know what? That is some amazing writing right there! Being able to make a LEGO “CHILDREN’S” show entertaining for kids to watch, but it also is able to make the older audiences feel recognized and noticed in attributes and personalities within some Lego Ninja? That’s some crazy awesome writing! It truly shows how if the right minds are put together, a show for “kids” can turn out to be fun and *emotional* for us older audiences to watch because we see these characters within ourselves.

So there it is, my rant as to why I do really love Lloyd as a character and not just some “Lego Ninja.” There’s some others, I mean his personality in-show and mine irl match up pretty well, so there’s that lol. I also like how he sits and listens to your problems and gives advice. He honestly is ✨the man✨ But there’s also multiple other things I didn’t even get around to mentioning in here that I like about his character too! There’s so much to unpack it feels within these characters. It’s almost as if this show *isn’t* for kids anymore, and it’s growing along with the viewers, yet still pertains to the “children” mindset.

Anyways, I’ve already spent two hours of my life writing this, so I’ll stop haha. But if you made it this far, feel free to comment and tell me your thoughts. I’d love to know. :)

NEW MORRO AU TIME!!

Ok, this is a song au, based off of these three songs: The Heart Acoustic, The Mind Electric, and The Soul Eclectic, all by Chonny Jash. If you don't already know them, please go listen to them in that order!

I've gotten really obsessed with them lately (thanks worm anon lmao) and I do what I do with all media I like, which is make it about Morro.

In this au, Morro developed some very specific mental disorder that split his personalities (possibly D.I.D?) that called themselves the Heart and Mind, and him the Soul. This is how I'll refer to them all from now on.

First up is the Heart.

He's basically a collection of Morro's childhood traumas, and is in constant agony because of how intense his emotions are. Heart can be very childlike.

He feels everything. He switches between being painfully empathetic, and having barely enough energy to empathise. He's kinda very depressed.

He hates the Mind because of how inhumane he is. He is very stubborn in this hatred.

Heart can be pretty useless, but it's not exactly his fault because yk, emotional agony. However, he shouldn't be underestimated. As the memory-holder of the system, he has the worst memories out of the three, and this trauma can cause violent outbursts. He can absolutely be dangerous.

He can also be reasonable, it's just that mind sends him over the edge so often.

I designed him around the outfit the ninja find on his skeleton in canon, and his green ninja outfit. Have fun w those connotations

Next up is the Mind.

This is supposed to be an embodiment of Wu's teachings, and how they affected him.

This is why he looks more adult, more grown than the others, and also had the braid (but longer) that Wu has in canon.

Because Mind is basically like Wu, and Heart is an embodiment of Morros traumas, you can imagine how very much they hate eachother.

In the song, Mind is a machine. In this au, he's not, but he's very robotic and very strict. Heart calls him a machine as an insult. Mind is kinda more of a "fighting machine", yk?

He's incredibly unemotional. Lacks empathy, only knows how to negotiate. He thinks very lowly of Heart for being so controlled by his emotions, because it means that Mind can't make the system to be the perfectly efficient machine he wants it to be.

He is very stubborn in this trying to convince Heart to suck it up and be just as robotic as he is.

Finally, the Soul.

This is basically just canon Morro.

Canon Morro except as he's carefully navigating his way through the Cursed Realm, he is in perpetual conflict because he can hear these two sides fighting day and night in his head, and he can't get them to shut up.

He is the host, and definitely has the most power over the system. He is also in control of the body most of the time, Heart and Mind-- when they're not endlessly fighting-- are trying to negotiate with Soul.

This is not a good thing for Soul lmao. Now he has to deal with bickering, and the occasional stubborn persuasion.

They both try so hard to convince him to get rid of the other, convince him that they're right, convince him to do anything, to help them both stuck forever in this hell with the person they hate most.

Mind tries to appeal to his desires, (quotes from the songs): "He's [Heart] a depressed fool. Abandon him and we could live so free."

Heart tries to appeal to his humanity; "He's [Mind] a damn madman. Is that the one you truly want to be?"

Ultimately, they have no real power over Soul, but Soul has all the power over them. So they whine and yell and try to convince him, but Soul isn't having any of it. He's developed a lack of empathy, because it is constantly being used against him.

So, he's very reckless and easily agitated, he's very quickly starting to go insane, and often lashes out in manic-like episodes. Sometimes at others, sometimes at Heart and Mind.

He keeps trying to shrug off these voices and they keep coming back. Every now and then, the voices stop, and he has a moment of clarity, and he breaks down, so scared and confused of what's happening, begging the outside world for help.

If he gets revived [idk yet] this will all persist into his life.

Keep in mind I'm just deriving all these personalities from the songs, so seriously, if you haven't, then go listen to them!! They're great songs!!

They'll provide great context and you'll probably understand what I'm saying even better.

Hello! I've been following your blog for a bit and I was wondering what exactly Lloyd in Siren and Pirates AU looks like compared to the two siblings? Does he have any other differences compared to normal sirens or any immediate telltale signs that he's a hybrid? Also are there any other characters like Skylor, Ronin, or even the Overlord? I can imagine Ronin potentially being a side threat as a siren hunter or something, but the roles could still be different too. Speaking of which what exactly are Wu and Garmadon doing since Misako's dead?

Lloyd is mostly human and his features are noticeable but he can hide them easily, people just tend to think he has a weird illness. The reason they don't think he's a hybrid is because humans can't reproduce with sirens, but Wu and Garmadon , being demigods , can shapeshift, that's why Lloyd is the only hybrid in the world.

After Misako's death, Wu and Garmadon kept doing what they always had, travelling around the world watching it change along the creatures in it, always without being seen themselves. Wu is curious about humans and is usually near them while Garmadon sticks next to the sea life. Garmadon also often visits Lloyd.

They are considered Sea gods by humans and each town worships one of them, the "good" one (the other sibling is considered the "evil" one).

Lloyd gets to have a normal, calm life in this AU because he deserves it!

As for other characters, I decided that captain Soto is going to be the Bounty's old captain that's going to be kicked out eventually.

Other pirates are Nadakhan (he's human in the AU), Chen and Iron Baron.

Nadakhan is a really smart and manipulative pirate that, despite having only one ship, is very powerful and feared.

Chen is trying to build the biggest army and already has a lot of ships under his command. He's a potential threat but the emperor won't do anything against him yet. Skylor is with him until she joins the Bounty's crew after Chen's defeat.

Iron Baron is a pirate but his crew focuses on hunting sea monsters, including sirens.

I like the idea of Ronin being a siren hunter and I thought that the people of the town of Stixx are also siren hunters because they live in siren territory. Stixx also produces the best sea monster hunting technology.

Said sirens are the ghosts of season 5 (they're alive of course). The preeminent is an abnormally big siren (twice the size a normal one). Morro is also a siren and he is obsessed with finding the legendary siren Wu.

Harumi is the princess of the biggest kingdom in Ninjago (the other one being Shintaro) and she wants to get rid of the pirates because pirates killed her biological parents. She also wants to kill all sea monsters and hires hunters without the emperor's knowledge.

Lastly, Echo is a noble like his older brother Zane who ran away from home shortly after him to find him.

Non-Human Ninjago headcannons:

Where I tell you how I don't headcannon any of them as human and here is why.

Lloyd deserves to have dragon/oni features, so he definitely has claws, horns, tail, and dragon-like eyes. He also subconsciously shapeshifts his eyes to be green [they are red] and he cries fire. The oni features are more dominant.

Kai and Nya don't really have any non-human headcannons. But I like to think they are pure elements in human form now, especially after Kai in the volcano, and Nya merging with the sea. They can turn into their element, travel through them, and when pissed off shift into elemental forms.

Cole is part oni. He shouldn't have survived March of the Oni, that is all. His superstrength is some mutation of destruction with his element. I also think Cole has really tough oni skin that makes him pretty hard to beat up.

Zane is a liteterally robot, but I'll give you some headcannons about it. If he didn't have the ice element he would overheat and break down in hours. He takes 3-4 hours to recharge, and weekly maintenance is mandatory. Zane has too many fine parts and bits that can break easily otherwise.

JAY HOWEVER is still part fangpyre. He deserves to have fangs and weird little snake eyes and a lisp. This means Jay has poor vision but can navigate through smell just like I headcannon serpentine to. SENSITIVE hearing.

Here me out. Morro is part dragon, makes the destiny and ghost duos even MORE chaotic. It is also why I think they are very in tune with their element, and why Morro can understand and communicate with it. Anyways, dragon eyes, claws, and tail.

Also I can't be convinced that Wu doesn't shapeshift to look more human. I know he has a dragon/oni form under there he's just a crazy old [and kind of racist] fart. He does have whiskers under that beard though. Secretly also cries fire.

Anyways, Garmadon deserves dragon features. Just a little. He has whiskers, scales and a tail.

Morro rolled his eyes, clicked his own seatbelt on, and put the car into drive. “I didn’t doubt you, I just didn’t expect that to work.” He swerved, using the truck to punt three nindroids into the wall.

“That’s doubting me. You’re literally describing the act of doubting me.” 

“You’re being needlessly pedantic.”

“Ooh busting out the big words there.”

Fight: From "Hugo Finds Out Varian Is Scary" (Tangled: the Series + Varian and the Seven Kingdoms)

Varian swung his staff with the grace of a drunk man, but he achieved his goal of konking the bandit in front of him across the head and sending him sprawling to the ground. Hugo didn’t watch Varian chuck one of his sticky grenades at him to keep him well and truly out of the fight, though he did hear the sound of it activating behind him. Instead, he turned his attention to the two bandits in front of him - one tall one with a thick beard, and one shorter one with a gold tooth.

“C’mon now, boys, this can’t be worth the effort,” he said, grinning easily at them. 

He ducked a swipe from a sword. That answered that, he supposed.

Life: From "Shores of Restless Souls" (Ninjago)

“If you wanted me to return to a life of crime,” Morro commented idly, “you could’ve just asked.”

Jay whipped his head around, sputtering. “Wha- I- no!” he hissed.

Morro blinked, projecting an innocence Jay didn’t believe for a second. “No? I mean, what am I to think when you’ve dragged me to possibly the most crime-y place possible?” He blinked at him with wide eyes. “Are you using me to pay off a debt to the mob?” 

“No!” he almost shrieked. A few thugs glanced over at him, so he lowered his voice more when he said, “I don’t make a habit of getting into debts, and even if I did, I wouldn’t sell you!” 

Morro snorted. “Relax, Motormouth, I’m messing with you. Your face is turning three very distinct shades of red, so please take a deep breath before you pass out and I have to carry you back home.”

Chapter 10 Raising an army

The sons of Garmadon were on their way to the real location on bike while Lloyd flew above them on his dragon having to share with Harumi “Mr E reported that not all of them were there, isn’t that worrying you?” She asked he could be seen rolling his eyes “You worry too much. If they try to do anything it’ll be too late.” On the ground was a disguised Morro and Garmadon looking up at the dragon “I don’t like where this is going.” Garmadon mumbled as they neared an open land with ruins became closer “I wonder how the others are doing.” Morro thought about it. As for the others Jay was banging on the door repeatedly letting out cries of 'let us out!' which did annoy everyone since they knew no one was on the other side “Would you knock it off?! No one is behind that door!” Cole shouted at Jay finally breaking under the constant yelling “Well we wouldn’t be here if Kai listened to Morro!” Jay pointed at Kai bringing him into the arguing “Me? You all agreed it was serpentine!” He snapped in response and the three started bickering with each other “Would you all stop it!” Nya shouted getting their attention and ending the arguing “We all were wrong, we should’ve listened to Morro when he said that it wasn’t it. It’s what...Lloyd would’ve done...” She trailed off thinking to how whenever they would be in a predicament that lead to arguing Lloyd would say it’s all their fault and how they should’ve trusted each other beforehand, now they didn’t have that anymore.

Something had cut through the door of the cave where it broke apart there stood Samurai X with Echo in the passenger seat “Pixel!” All of them shouted in relief “But how?” Nya asked and Zane chimed in “While you were all arguing I was sending an SOS to Pixel so she can get us out.” The ninja all thanked Zane for doing so “You all must hurry now. Morro and Garmadon are on Lloyd’s trail as we speak.” She flew off in the suit with the ninja following behind on their dragons. Back at the site all the bikers were to stay behind as Lloyd and Harumi were the only ones allowed near the ruins “We need a distraction to get near them.” Garmadon whispered and just after he said that down came the ninja, Echo started to increase the wind speeds with Morro joining to create a sandstorm “Damnit they got out.” Lloyd covered his eyes and mouth to not get any sand in them “I’ve spotted them over there.” Echo pointed to where they saw Lloyd and Harumi offering to lead the way, Mr E then appeared blocking them from getting close and faint speaking can be heard through the strong sandy winds Lloyd was trying to read the summoning on the scroll he was having a hard time to read it because of the sand so he was able to easily create a blast to get Morro and Echo to stop the storm.

With the two of them getting hit Lloyd was now able to focus on reading the scroll having Mr E and Harumi deal with the ninja “Don’t let him finish reading that scroll!” Garmadon instructed trying to get past the two to reach him “How exactly do you want us to do that?” The question came from Jay of course “Like this!” Morro manipulated the wind again to increase the speed the intention was to blow the scroll away from his hands and it also worked as a distraction for Garmadon at least to get past the two reaching Lloyd “I’m starting to understand the frustration every other villain felt whenever I used to do this.” He chuckled on how the roles in the situation were now reversed, gripping onto the scroll as tightly as possible “Do you know what kind of evil your going to bring if you finish that?!” Garmadon said in response as Lloyd looked to the side with a scoff “I’m doing more evil than you have ever done.” He drew the sword from the sheath attached to his hip, ready to fight but Garmadon showed no intention of fighting.

“I am not going to fight you.” He stated as Lloyd rolled his eyes “We both know that’s a lie. It’s always been destined for us to fight on opposite sides.” He stores the scroll safely away getting into a fighting stance Garmadon has no choice but to do the same from there the two fought. “We need to get that scroll off of him.” Kai suggested since Lloyd was busy fighting at the moment “That scroll is in his shirt right now, I don’t want to reach my hand in there.” Cole said regarding where the scroll was but that didn’t seem to be that much of a concern to anyone else agreeing first things first was to get rid of Harumi and Mr E to get to Lloyd the only downside to the plan was that Garmadon was losing the fight while Lloyd still had plenty of stamina to keep going as they wanted Lloyd to be weak enough for their plan “I have an idea.” Zane froze the two in their place which finally gave them an opening to Lloyd, they ran up to him before Kai, Cole, Jay, and Zane were levitated off the ground paralyzed as their elemental powers were faintly surrounding them.

“You do know that I can remove your elemental powers, right?” Lloyd’s stance was a foot on Garmadon who laid on the ground defeated with a sword pointing down at him while a hand was held out to hold the four ninja in place “The four of you should at least be grateful that I haven’t removed them.” Nya, Morro, Pixel, and Echo were on their way for an attack though the two broke free from the ice and held them down now Lloyd can finally finish reading the scroll. Three portals opened behind the group and out came marching Oni from the three stopping half away where the portal in the middle out came the commander approaching Lloyd looking him over there was silence “Yes! We did it! All of Ninjago will now bow to the sons of Garma-“ Harumi was cut off and a collective gasp from everyone came, a sword was impaled through her chest and Lloyd just looked at her with a dead gaze “Why the shocked face?” He questioned twisting the blade keeping his impassive face “Doesn’t it hurt? Helping someone you care about to then get betrayed? It’s only fair I return the favor to you.” The Oni commander watched with interest as the event unfolded, Harumi stuttered out 'I' 'you' 'we' trying to form a sentence “You are below me. Did you really think I’d forgive you for what you’ve done? To let you rule beside me?” Lloyd dropped the ninja, leaning in with daggers in his gaze whispering “I don’t need you anymore.” He removed the sword from her and to seal her death, a swift cut to the head.

Harumi’s decapitated head hits the ground followed by the limp body.

Everyone looks on mortified.

The Oni commander looks pleased by this action, they grab Lloyd’s hand and raises it. Shouting out for everyone to hear “This world belongs to the Oni!”

yknow what I am going to elaborate. Ghost Cole grim reaper AU

after his mom dies Cole is all over the place climbing every tall cliff in close vicinity and exploring the nearby area in the process

on his journeys he learns about Yang and how he's (allegedly) a ghost. This gives him the idea that maybe it is possible to return from the Departed Realm, even if only in the form of a ghost (he's mourning and p much still a kid cut him some slack)

he goes to the Temple of Airjitzu and stays overnight to talk with Yang. He asks all kinds of questions and Yang is like "yo who tf are you" and turns Cole into a ghost, not caring in the slightest

in this AU the Departed Realm also has itself a physical embodiment like the Cursed Realm, except unlike the Preeminent this one is more of a protective momma dragon who hoards departed souls and guards them like children

anyway being turned into a ghost is technically not the same as actually dying (at least that's how the show seems to phrase it). So Cole is technically dead BUT he didn't actually die. Which puts him in this weird limbo where he's dead but never departed to the Departed Realm

The physical embodiment of the Departed Realm is like. I see you're a weirdo but I can't bring you to my place so how about I give you a purpose instead. How about you help me direct the other souls to my realm and I'll let you stay in Ninjago. I'll give you the tools you need

and Cole, not wanting to face the fact that he's practically dead, accepts

so now he's the Grim Reaper who collects the departed souls and guides them to the afterlife (first only to the Departed Realm but then it becomes his job to take care of all escaped ghosts). He's got himself a neat scythe bc it looks cool and he's still the earth elemental

...and how it all ties into the plot of the series

Wu doesn't recruit Cole to the team bc frankly he cannot find him. Since one guardian of the Green Ninja is missing Nya's water elemental status is revealed much earlier and she makes it to the team before they fight the Overlord for the first time

everything until Possession plays out relatively the same just with Cole missing

then at the end of ToE when the portal between the Cursed Realm and Ninjago opens he senses something's amiss and he's like "hey you guys aren't supposed to do that"

Cole meets with the team for the first time during Possession since his goal is to get Morro back to the Cursed Realm

he's generally very distant with the others (getting close with mortals is a bad thing when you're the personification of death, in a sense) but eventually they work together to defeat Morro

the "death" of the Preeminent shakes him up pretty badly bc it flips his worldview upside down. After all if realms can be destroyed so easily what'd happen if the same thing happened to the Departed Realm?

during Skybound he's still around bc he has to get Clouse. He's also the only one (outside of Jay and Nya) who still remembers everything that happened (Departed Realm privileges I guess) and after the timeline is reset he manages to reap Clouse before he could find the teapot

Hhhhhhhhh... Man, honestly, I haven't thought about it. I think earth, wind and fire are neat. going in uhh height order lmao (this is also gonna be mostly alterline but its also my general hcs)

jay- bi, demiboy, he/they. jay figured out he was trans at a pretty early age, like around 5 or 6, and since his parents are both trans they eased him into being a boy pretty easily. somewhere around 10 he felt off about it, and currently his gender is "none gender with left boy," which is how a demiboy classmate of mine in high school felt about their gender lol. he's pretty open about being trans and bi, and is the local queer expert on the team due to how progressive his family is. if anyone has any crises, they go to him.

they're currently dating/married to cole, and in a qpr with morro. they call each other power buds and are total dorks.

lloyd- aroace, trans guy, he/him. lloyd is aroace due to trauma, but before that he was just kinda questionably into anyone. but after harumi, he wants absolutely nothing to do with romance and relationships. (this is from ✨personal experience✨). he also knew he was a boy VERY early on, and named himself lloyd to match lord garmadon. he's very adamant about being a guy and doesn't like other pronouns for him, including neutral theys.

he's not in a relationship with anyone and refuses any advancements.

kai- bi, transmasc, he/him. kai, when he first found out he was a guy, threw himself so hard at being a guy that he went full dudebro fdjkghdkjfhg. in the beginning he was very focused on being Masculine and A Guy, but over time learned that he doesn't really need to be Tough and Masculine. his current gender is a lot more feminine than it used to be, now that he's unlearned the toxic masculinity, and is fully confident in himself. he also doesn't particularly care what pronouns are used for him, just that he/him is the main one he uses. also, kai's type is people that can beat him up or that he can have a homoerotic rivalry with. biting is his love language.

he's currently dating pixal and zane because hotwire is a BANGER ship and i will die on this hill. there's also whatever he has going on with morro, which refuses to be labelled. destiny good.

morro- gay, agender, they/them. morro always questioned if they were a guy or not, but 40 years ago, gender terminology wasn't the best, so they reasoned that since they're not a girl, they're not trans. but jay helped them figure out that there's also a secret third option of not being either, and that's where they stuck with. they have no gender, but they're vibing. their presentation is overall very feminine (and goth) and they prefer to look pretty ambiguous in terms of expression. the more confused people are, the better. they also know they like guys and masc ppl and that's about where they leave it.

they're in a relationship with an oc of mine, but its kinda here and there. i think my brain cares more about what they have going on with kai. which, again, refuses to be labelled, but destiny good. they're also in a qpr with jay

cole- gay ace, nonbinary, he/him. cole was closeted for a very long time, mostly due to not knowing if his father would accept him. his dad didn't react the best when he did find out, but they mended things and lou's ok with it now. but because of this, cole only tends to come out if he really truly trusts someone, and no sooner. there was a lot of repression at first with being gay, then learning that he's ace, but he's learning to accept himself. he also learned a lot later that he may not be as much of a guy as he thought, but he doesn't know what to make of it, so he just slaps on an nb label and calls it a day.

he's currently dating/married to jay :)

nya- lesbian aspec, bigender, she/he. samurai x being called a guy and he/him so much kinda... awakened something in nya, and she learned that she's not that against he/him as she previously thought. after a while of talking to jay, she realized that she can be both a guy and a girl at the same time, and that's what felt most correct. she was also experiencing pretty bad comphet in the first two seasons, and only realized after the disastrous love test, where she realized that she doesn't actually like guys at all. the aspec thing is just a thing that came up later that she doesn't have a concrete label for yet, but she's figuring it out.

currently, she's not dating anyone, but she had a crush on skylor for a LONG while. (reason is that skylor is a few years older than her and i didn't want to deal with an age gap when they were still teens)

zane- pan, genderfluid, any. zane's gender is quite fluid, though it tends to stay in the masc/neutral regions more often than not. i think its sort of like. 45% male, 30% neutral, 15% feminine (5% of that being female), and 10% xeno or something related. his pronouns change depending on his gender, usually he or they, with occasional bouts with she or neos. he tells the ninja every morning what he's feeling like today, and everyone is ok with it :) as for his orientation, gender never mattered much to him, so he's fine with anyone.

he's currently dating kai and pixal and loves them both very much

pixal- bi, transfem, she/it. pixal is transfem in the sense that only a robot can be. she was just an ai, and when she eventually found out she was a woman, she told borg that she wanted a female body, who happily made her one. she also uses she/it the same way that siri or alexa does. she's also bi in the same way that zane is pan, where she doesn't necessarily have a gender preference, but she likes people. it took her a while to learn what are romantic feelings versus platonic feelings, but she figured it out eventually :)

He hates Garmadon. Despite what all his sensei told him, he thinks Garmadon is responsible of Wu's sadness.

Despite being sassy and proud, Morro is really selfconscious. Any serious cruel critic will destroyed him.

When he's hidding somewhere dark and cramped, there is always someone who will find him and comfort him. Everyone in his own way.

I like your Zane original programming theory you posted, yet by itself it doesn't explain why Zane's soul lingered when he was so ready and accepting of his death--you'd think he would move on! Personally I think it's because he was tied to an element--my theory is that elements cause souls to get stuck until they're passed on to a new master. Maybe it wasn't just obsession that put Morro in the Cursed Realm, and maybe he'll keep lingering until he passes his element to someone else...

Sorry for the delayed response! Theory-crafting is always a fun topic for me and I wanted to take my time with this post, but with the new semester starting this week I haven't had much time to sit down and give this topic its due process. But we're here now!

(To anyone curious, this is the post being referenced)

To start off, you're right! In the original post I do talk a lot about how it would be possible for a nindroid to linger after death, and not so much about the why. I admit, I had initially planned on addressing this as well, but every attempt to explain my thoughts on that felt too longwinded and ramble-y so I decided just to cut it out of the post altogether. So thank you for bringing it up and giving me the excuse to talk more about this!! That being said, this will be ramble-y bc I dont know how to articulate my thoughts on this in a coherent way, so buckle in.

In terms of why Zane's soul lingered/came back to life, I think there are three main possible theories to consider.

(Admittedly only the first theory is all that likely, but I'm emotionally attached to the other two and they also technically have a non-zero chance of being true so I'm gonna present them anyway. Let's just pretend I'm doing it to be thorough)

As you said, it's entirely possible that an individual's elemental power keeps them tethered to the realm of the living and won't let them go. This theory is very interesting from a worldbuilding standpoint, and it seems to have the most evidence to back it up, at least circumstantially. Not to mention that certain details throughout the series, as well as some comments from Tommy Andreasen, lowkey lead me to believe that elemental powers have some degree of sub-sentience to them. The thought of elemental powers refusing to let go of their masters is 👀 really interesting worldbuilding and I'd love to see where that goes. And it makes sense! It would explain why, even though Zane and Cryptor both died, Cryptor passed on to the afterlife while Zane didn't. Because Cryptor wasn't an elemental master, but Zane was. As well as explaining why the likes of Morro and Garmadon retained their elemental powers after death. The only things it doesn't explain are why Morro passed onto some form of afterlife while Zane didn't, and what mechanisms allowed the Overlord's spirit linger in a similar way despite not being an elemental master. Of course, the second one we can easily write off as the Overlord being like a manifestation of darkness and possibly an Oni, and therefore having some cosmic darkness powers that keep him around. And as for the first point about Morro, well, we don't know a lot about the Cursed Realm or even how the death/afterlife system works in this show. A comment from Wu in season 5 suggests that one enters the Cursed Realm by becoming cursed, but that in itself is a headache I'm not ready to unpack just yet. Anyway long story short, this theory makes a lot of sense and I think you're really on the money here!

One theory that answers the question of why Zane and the Overlord lingered in the same way, but people like Cryptor did not, is that perhaps it has something to do with Golden Power. Both were in direct contact with and overloaded with Golden Power, and got resurrected in a presumably similar fashion (from what we've seen anyway) - as opposed to Cryptor and Morro, who as far as we know both died but passed onto some form of afterlife. Any evidence to support this theory is purely circumstantial at the moment, but I'm also fond of how poetic it'd be. The same power Zane used to save his friends, the same power that killed him, is also the same power that won't let his soul pass on. He wrangled unfathomable, godly, golden strength to save the world, but at the cost of his own afterlife. He fought for his friends to find peace, but as a consequence he himself cannot find peace even in death. Can you imagine how unpleasant it must have been for him when the Golden Weapons came back in MotO? Like, even without the context of this theory. The last time he held Golden Power, it destroyed him. And now a Golden Weapon has been placed in his hands once more, and once more he has been tasked with using it to save the world. That's gotta mess you up. And it'd be even worse if the Golden Power is what kept his soul from passing on. Like, given his little dying-thoughts montage, we can tell he was ready to die, he was willing to pass on to the afterlife. He was at peace. But he didn't get that, because the world wasn't done with him. Because the Golden Power wouldn't let him go.

Maybe Zane didn't remain tethered to the realm of the living. Maybe he didn't linger at all. Maybe his soul did actually pass on - but he got pulled back. Maybe he met the FSM and had a similar encounter as Lloyd did in MotO, and was sent back down. I mean, if it's established that the FSM can talk to and resurrect people at his own will, then it's not outside the realm of possibility that he may have done the same to Zane. The biggest hole in this theory is that it's not as likely that Zane would've willingly gone back. On the one hand, Zane loves his friends and it's established that he's willing to sacrifice his own comfort for the sake of protecting others. So it's reasonable to assume that he would choose resurrection if given the opportunity. BUT...like you said, he was at peace with his death. He was happy. Content. Smiling at a life well lived. He had no intention of coming back. Not to mention that Zane doesn't strike me as the kind of person to rebuke the cycle of life - if it's his time to go, then it's his time to go, and he'd probably think it would be arrogant of him to claim an exception to a universal rule. His thinking being, what makes him better or more deserving of a second chance than others? So if he didn't want to come back, then what if the FSM brought him back without his consent? He wanted to stay dead, to be with his father, but the FSM was like 'lol nah' and then yeeted him back down to Ninjago. And yeah that's angsty, but I'd also like to consider the comedic potential of Zane just absolutely hating the FSM's guts because why won't god let him stay dead.

(I do have one more theory, but it involves major Crystalized spoilers so I won't share it. That being said, anyone who's seen episode 13 can probably guess where I'm going with this.)

So...yeah! You're probably right, and your theory makes a lot of sense, heck I even have a few WIPs where I explore that concept, but I just thought it'd be fun to explore all the other options for funsies as well.

Manor abyss

The last thing he remembered everyone in darkley hates him, his bestfriend resent him and have a big fight with eachother. So the last thing he does was running away from his friends, from that school, and away from his parents. 

He hates both of them. 

Leaving him alone and abandoned him since he was 5, with a excuse his mother having a work to do leaving him at darkley all alone. His father? He doesn't even remember the last time he saw his own father since he was a toddler. 

Lloyd always think his parents hates him, he feels the same for them. He doesn't even like them either anyway, he was clearly fine by his own, he only need to survive alone without a guide from adults or anyone in particular. 

Without any path to go, Lloyd then walk away from the town he went through. People in there wasn't even keened of him, so what's the point anyway? He then walked for hours till he didn't know where even he is now maybe he was in a middle of a big and dark forest, lost, alone, maybe even feeling empty.

But that silence was broken when something or perhaps somebody was with him the entire time…

"Who's there? Comeout!" Lloyd was afraid, but those fear can't be seen or shown by him. He wasn't going to let whatever that he showed his fear.

Truth to be told, he can self defense he is skilled in them, he's uncle taught that. So he can say he was pretty confident or so he thought..

Before he can do his self defense, the thing that followed him then attack Lloyd with some smoke bomb, blinding his sight and made it hard for him to breathe. But that didn't stop him to stand still and be strong enough before he was knocked out by the smoke bomb.

The last thing he saw was a shadowy figure approaching his unconscious body, before Lloyd was totally out from it.

When Lloyd woke up from his unconsciousness he was already in bed and in a strangely nice bedroom. "Where…." He said as he stood from the bed and examine the bedroom he was in, "its… a nice room for a stranger to have" something about the place and the bedroom itself feels off for Lloyd to stay in place.

"I need to get out from here" just as Lloyd was about to head out from the room, he heard a knocking sound from outside of the room. "Uh.. hey new comer, the staff of this manor said it's almost time for dinner and maybe we'll meet downstairs okay?" As the footstep sound started to faded away from his bedroom, Lloyd then decide to step out from the bedroom and walk into the dining room where everybody else was there.

There were a lot of teenagers of his age, why would this place has a lot of teenagers in here? Well that question can wait a bit later 

One of them notice Lloyd approach to them, "your here finally, that's everyone in here then" said the person who notice him, the person is tall and has a silver hair and light blue eye. Seems like he is the approachable one than the rest of them. "So.. he's the last one Zane?" Said the person beside Zane with a smug smirk, this guy is sure going to be a pain to deal with atleast the one thing he can easily remember about him is the small strand of green hair that's painfully to see.

"Comeon morro don't annoyed him, he's just here by now" 

"Whatever kai it's not like you would be annoyed too if another one is here too"

The other are sure talkative, that's what Lloyd thought when he saw the others approach. "So… are you guys new here?" The question here indeed make all of them nodded. 

"Ah your all here, great you guys are just in time for dinner!" Said someone from the stair, a strange small wisp of light talk to them. While everyone there just staring at the small wisp, "who are you if we can ask? Are you the owner of this manor?" Ask nya, kai's sister who was beside him all the time.

"Me? I'm just a small guardian of the manor, are you perhaps talking about yourself as the new owner?" Said the small wisp in curiosity to them referring as the owner

Lloyd and the others as the owner? No way! He's just woke up in this place and somehow him and the others are the owner of the manor?

"Owner? Us? You're crazy right?? We all just woke up in this weird place out of nowhere!" Said harumi, the girl that just standing beside Lloyd by now, he's got to admit that she is was quiet at the start. "Ah, my apologies then! Come, dinner is ready by now!" Said the wisp as they lead them to their table.

The atmosphere in the room is really thick and no one dares to break the silence there. But one thing that Lloyd realized is that, they all don't have a clue where or what is going on.

That was until the wisp broke through the thick silence by starting to speak to lighten the topic for a bit, "so, did anyone enjoy the dinner? Maybe some questions would be nice to start our communication" Ofcourse Lloyd has a lot of questions to ask, but before he can ask something a girl across from him raises her hand. 

"If I may ask, what is this place? Why did all of us suddenly get thrown here? And who were those shadowy figures that had followed us before?" Well that was a lot of question, Lloyd thought while munching on his food

If the wisp can show their expression by now they can see that they were smiling at them. "That was a great question Ms.Vania, but sadly one of your questions cannot be answered by us for now that has to be discovered by your own! But as a matter of fact I can answer your two other questions!" The wisp exclaimed as if they were grinning like a kid.

"So can you answer those 2 questions then?" Jay asks fidgeting in his seat feeling anxious by all the things happening today. The wisp only giggles while still grinning, "after dinner I can explain everything to you all if you like!" They said as they hover outside away from the dining room.

After dinner it was a bit awkward, all of them already waiting in the hall only just waiting for the wisp to come out and explain everything to them. It's just awkward when you somehow get thrown magically in some place without knowing anyone or anything that has happened before. Thankfully not long after the wisp then appears with a big book that hover around them. 

"To summary those questions that just been thrown by Ms. Vania, this book is where all of the answers are within. Like, what is this place? Well to answer that is pretty simple! This is a manor abyss! This manor was created a long time ago by someone who has a big dream and goal to reach something. The original owner of this manor is unknown and only has a wish that this place be well hidden and can only be found by those who have the same dream and goal and what their desire is the most!" The wisp explained the backstory of the manor itself with a big proud smile on its face (if they have one)

"So you're saying…. This place was created by a cuckoo person? Who has a goal and only can proceed by the right person?" Cole asked as if he was hearing something from a fairytale 

"That is correct!"

"And for the second question? Why are we brought here then?" Now it's skylor turns to ask the wisp, but the wisp can only show a small shrug still smiling at them. "That is however I can't answer sadly, some mystery needs to be solved by the right time itself! Moving on"

"About the last question then? What are those shadowy figures that follow and bring us here? Are they some kind of goons?" Pixal ask as if the shadowy figure hasn't make them scared enough

"Yeah what the hell is that thing?!"

"They even throw a smoke bomb at us! It can seriously injured our sight and lungs"

"And makes our bodies unconscious.."

Maybe Lloyd wasn't the only one who has been approached by those kinds. But yeah, that thing can be super dangerous to be thrown at humans or mortal beings like them.

"Alright sorry about that… stuff, but let me answer those questions first! They are hollow gloom, a specimen or creations that made by shadow and goo of the unliving, they don't have any mind or think like me, just a small minion that guard and bring the enemy down if they try to get closed to this place" the wisp explain everything about the hollow gloom

"So all of us are enemies then?" Lloyd said to the wisp lost at their words. "No! No! The hollow gloom only brought you guys here for a reason because of something!" 

"And attacking us with a smoke bomb is one way?" 

"Uh… the hollow has their own set of mind to brought our new owners in here" the wisp explained with a apology 

"New owner?!"

Just as the wisp goes to explain the last part, the grandfather clock is already ringing indicating that it is already night time and showing that all of them have to go back to their room. "Oh night time already? Alright then, off you go to your room now! Night time is here, have a nice rest!" Suddenly the wisp then disappear just before any of them can ask again.

And now they all just left with each other, the atmosphere are awkward after the wisp left them alone again.

No one dare to break the silence, cause they're awkward and they are strangers, just silence fills the air around them. That was until Zane break the awkward atmosphere "so… that was something"

"Yeah that was something… should we head back to our own room or?" Pixal asking not wanting to leave the questions hanging

"Yeah maybe we all should, I'm starting to get dizzy and tired from all of this in one day" Kai then proceeds to pinch his temple feeling a headache right now, "uh nice to meet you all then? And good night…" and after their departure to their own separate room Lloyd can only think about the shit that happened today.

It was one hell of a trip for them.

Am I allowed to add to this? I Wanna add to this because it has opened my eyes omg. I have a lot of unrelated thoughts so just bare with me and my somewhat weird organization lol. I'm also gonna make a cut off cuz this went stupid L o n g.

The idea of Jordana and Arin being two sides of the same coin!!! Amazing yes and it's so so true. They're both searching for that approval, but what makes them so different is how the people around them react to that.

Arin is the one who's been held up to higher expectations due to his homemade spinjizu, and becasue of that he feels like he can never live up to what everyone said he was capable of and what the world may one day demand of him . Kinda like Morro a little bit. They're just coming off a fight where 2 of their allies 'died' and I can't imagine that's feel all that great when he thinks he's failing to measure up to the standards needed to save the world. He's less then just someone falling behind, he's becoming a liability that might get someone hurt or worse which just adds to the already feelings of hurt pride and not met expectations and disappointed mentors/idol figures.

Meanwhile nobody expects anything of Jrodana and it infuriates her. Sora forgets her name and that she even exists, Ras hands duties over to Cinder, LaRow was willing to toss her aside for Sora's smarts almost instantly, Jay wouldn't really pay much attention to her cuz he's focusing on the other guy who knows spinjitzu now (Arin), and I'd bet good money her parents did something similar if she was willing and able to just leave Impirium that easily. She's constantly searching for those expectations that Arin had thrust upon him becasue it would mean that people actually take her seriously. That they think she has something to offer, and that they actually notice her and her skills enough to realize that in the first place.

It's also even worse because she seems like she actually could become a very big threat/asset if given the chance. We don't see a lot of just straight up magic users and the ones we have were all shown to be really powerful. Jordana managed to learn enough in -at the very most but probably less than- a year to be able to conduct/hijack an ancient ritual. That's something I'd expect Clouse to pull and he mentored fucking Garmadon.

And on the topic of Arin and Jordana. I find it so insane that in this situation they would both be put in a position to resent Sora. Jordana does for obvious and already discussed reasons, but then there's Arin who, as Cable mentioned, would be watching as Sora managed to do everything he couldn't all while having an elemental power as well. The perfect mentee where he is the one who failed.

And for the record I don't think Arin could every fully hate Sora, not really at least. I think if he did, it would be more him projecting his own self-hatred and irritation onto her than anything else. That being said I could totally see a situation where Jordana is talking about how much she despises Sora, and Arin, in his head, is kinda agreeing at first. And then being absolutely horrified at his own thoughts because that's still Sora no matter how mad he is at her for lying to him and being so much better at everything that him and having a cool elemental power... And then he's even more freaked out that his own feeling are so similar to Jordana's at all. But at then end of the day he still switched sides for reasons he still believes in, and even if not, it'd be a bit late to back out by then. So, like with him not helping Jordana even if he manages to see some of himself in her, he doesn't help himself either by just letting those feelings sit there and linger instead of confronting them. Had he done that from the start he wouldn't even be in this mess to begin with but feelings are hard so it's understandable.

(On a semi related note and because I can't think of where else to put this. I think that Arin's resentment of anyone if it were to exist would never extend to someone like Lloyd like it might with other characters, becasue all of Arin's insecurities come from a place of feeling like He Himself failed somehow. So even if he ended up projecting onto Sora becasue she's an easy target, that internal logic wouldn't track onto someone like Lloyd. Just smth I thought of that I think is fun ANYWAY)

OK AND MY LAST POINT IM SO SORRY LOL. Is that for as much as Ras has all of his team trapped in a cycle of their own and everyone else's fucked up emotions (Jay's confused, Jordana's angry, Cinder's cocky and Arin's desperate), the system he's created is still fragile and bound to fail eventually which is what makes it's existence at all so interesting. Like they're all in competition with each other in some way whether they realize it or not, and that can only sustain itself for so long. On top of that, the fact that all of them are in vulnerable emotional states also makes the entire thing fragile, because the second one of them snaps or strikes out or switches sides, everything will start to fall apart (say for example, Jordana getting a redemption, plz Ninjago I am begging).

Ras won't be able to hide Jay's identity from the ninja forever; Arin figured it out after like 20 collective minutes. Ras can only disregard and belittle Jordana for so long before she either leaves, is convinced to switch sides, or betrays Ras. Arin has a lot of people on the good side who love and would chase after him for a long ass time before giving up, and also, Ras can only make Arin do so much as a 'villain' before Arin refuses to follow him becasue at the end of the day Arin is a hurt person not a bad one. And honestly I don't think we know enough about Cinder for me to say what would be enough to make him ditch or revolt (especially considering he already shattered his soul and we don't know how to fix that yet if it can be fixed) but I'd say that if the rest of Ras' main group left, he'd either try to undermine Ras to get power for himself, or just strike out on his own as an insanely powerful elemental master.

But yea I think that's it lmao. There's just a lot to talk about when it comes to this group of people and how fucked up they are.

I have put more thought into this than an other essay I've ever written, and it took like 4 hours becasue I kept getting distracted. Thank you and my bad for lowkey hijacking a post.

arin finding jay on the opposite side of the battle.

arin seeing one of his heroes, fallen, and learning that if one of the ninja uses shatterspin then maybe there’s nothing stopping him from using it too. all he needs is a mask and the gong. a mask and a gong. it’s easy.

arin getting to know jay, and discovering a person just as conflicted as he is. a person who is still, underneath layers of doubt and skepticism and bitterness and sorrow, trying to do good. looking at himself in a mirror and finding it easier and easier to picture the wolf clan’s mantle draped over his shoulders.

arin thinking that with shatterspin, maybe he can finally grow powerful enough to have a chance to prove himself - because if shatterspin was really that bad, why would a ninja be using it? ninja fight for good. he can use shatterspin for good. it’s not dangerous. this is his chance. this is how he can finally be useful. this is how he can still be a hero.

Ok, I saw encanto again some time ago and I came up with some ideas for the enjago au.

1.- I know that I have commented before that "casita" would be a monastery, but it occurred to me and if it were better at the beginning (before the candle goes out) the temple with fragile foundations? Just think about it the place is unstable and the problem comes from the roots of the family and the miracle, all its base was relatively fragile but at first sight it looked more than imposing and majestic, I think it would be a good metafora at the same time as the screams in the film. When they rebuild their home, it would no longer be that imposing temple, but the monastery a place not only to honor the miracle and live the elementals who care for ninjago, but a place of peace and learning, where they and the next generations can grow and reflect on who they are and their place in the family and the village, without losing themselves in the process.

2.-I realized that we have left echo a little forgotten, so it occurred to me that he might also know that morro is hidden in the walls and given the frequency with which he hurts it wouldn't be strange to see him with some of zane's food, so I could easily pass him food without calling attention.

3. - I like to think of zane as the oldest of the ninjas in this version (maybe 22 years old?), plus that at least in my head I could already be married (or at least committed) to pixal. So the initial song would look like this: "Two girls fell in love with family elemental

4. - cole would be the next oldest, and this was one of wu's motivations for pressuring him to commit to nya. As for these two I guess it all started because they got along and spent time together, it was wu who started to see them asa couple and somehow got caught up in this false relationship without knowing how to get out.

5. - kai has unwittingly saved himself from being put into an arranged marriage. Wu has looked for someone to match kai with but has not found "the perfect match for the perfect boy oficial the family". Since garmadon, zane, nya and cole have stepped in whenever he thinks he has found "the perfect match ", finding a big no. Since everyone is perfectly aware of the feel of kai by skylor and viceversa. (when they were teenagers, cole and nya were about to lock them in a closet and not let them out until they confessed, if it wasn't for zane's intervention, though she later wondered if things wouldn't have been better if he had let them go with her plans)

I have more ideas but it's late, so I'll post them later.
