Ninjago ghost au!

It came to me right as I was about to fall asleep haha

Okay if any of you watched the show ghost, this is loosely based on that!

Nya and her girlfriend Skylor, find out that Nya inherited a mansion! Obviously they take a shot in the dark and move there!

So Nya gets hurt when and has to be brought back to life with those machine! Allowing her to see ghost because of her near death experience! In the mansion she finds out there a whole bunch of ghost!

chaos ensures!

Morro is the oldest ghost there killed because of starvation and wondering in a small cave on the property.

He keeps mostly to himself only showing up once in a while

His ghostly power is that when people pass through him it brings up their negative emotions

He was adopted when he was younger by someone

but ran away as a kid and became a thief

He possessed Lloyd once when Lloyd was still alive

Died at age 18 but tries to act older

Zane 2nd to die in the property

Died from a cold

Since medicine wasn’t as advanced when he was alive

Ghostly power is that he can make a room colder

He was a general for a war

He lost his foot during the war

His father did create a prosthetic for him

Has no descendants

Died at 27

Gets very worried when Skylor or Nya get sick

Cole is the 3rd to die on the property

He loves it when Skylor bakes cakes

Cole died exploring the same cave as morro died in!

The ceiling collapsed in on him and he was crushed to death..

His ghostly power is that he can travel off the property but he wasn’t aware of it until Nya

He just never had a reason too leave and his death kinda traumatised him

He had lied to his dad about being a bard

When in reality he was a explorer

His father is a ghost as well which when they resolve there issues and catch up when he finally leaves the property

Died at 26

Kai built the mansion

Was a young Lord

Very selfish and hotheaded when alive

Died from a fire in the mansion

He ran back in to save his children

They survived he didn’t obviously, although he knew he would die when he went into the fire

Actual cause of death was smoke inhalation

His ghostly power is that he can move object

Since he was always on the move when he alive, and always had to be working

Died at 30 one of the oldest and richest of the ghost to die

Nya is his descendent

But He still treats her like his sister

Is extremely sharp with her and can be quite mean. But it’s because he scared and protective of his descendants

Jay was a inventor showcasing his craft at the mansion when he died

Lied a lot about to past because he was ashamed he didn’t come from money

Incredibly shocked when he found he was actually related to a famous actor

Died from his machine malfunctioning and electricuting him to death

Suspects fowl play was involved in his death

It was and morro is the only one that knows who murdered Jay

Morro doesn’t tell him because 1. He’s a jerk like that and 2. Jay is one of the few ones aren’t traumatised by their death

He is traumatised, he just jokes about the issue better because he doesn’t want to think about how much he missed and didn’t get to do

Ghostly power can make lights flicker

Died at 25

Has half siblings from his bio farther side still around

Lloyd was one of the more recent ghost dying in the 90s

His dad was in the mafia

Wu and misako were detectives

Lloyd would go over there to play in the forest around the mansion

He stumbled by the old cave as a kid and morro decided to follow him in case the kid died

Ended up possessing him for about two days until he left the boundary and got kicked out of Lloyds body

Lloyd didn’t go there again till he was older

Wu and Misako organised a meeting at the mansion since they knew the people living there at the time.

to wanted to get garmadom to turn himself in or stop committing crimes before Lloyd reputation and life was ruined

Things went south, when Lloyd arrived

Garmadon accidentally shot him and ended up killing Lloyd

Wu, misako and garmadon are all still alive.

They all visit the mansion now and again and leave candy and comics where he dies

He was 16 when he died

Ghostly power is to go in people dream

Harumi lives up in the attic

She hates being bothered

Has no living relatives that she know of

Hates authority figures

She was a rich adopted teen, her real parents were by cops at a protest

She hates Lloyd and uses him as proof of the corruption of cops

When the news came out about his death people’s painted him as a hero trying to stop his evil dad

his death was used as a pro cops and propaganda despite the wishes of everyone in his family

Harumi died as a teen in 2000’s she 17

She died wandering onto the property because a group she was apart of was gonna force another girl go into the woods alone as a pledge.

She secretly took that girls place

Died alone and scared killed by a venomous snake she couldn’t see.

Makes people high/hallucinates when she walks into them

Her and morro are both incredibly bitter and don’t hang out with the other ghost or interact with the living unless it’s to cause trouble

The most dramatic, chaotic and impulsive man you’ll ever meet

That’s a lie (he over thinks everything and most of his future interaction is planned out.)

Clumsy, but blames his random bruises on “epic” fights

Starts off as a “villain” ends up helping the ninjas and being friendly

He secretly fond of the ninjas and is bit of a fan (until he meets them)

When he on the good side he has a friendly rivalry with Kai.

Gets along most with Cole because he makes him try his cake recipes

Went to darkly school for bad boys

The “baddest” boy there.

Lloyd probably knew about all his evil deeds while he was at school

Mica vaguely remembers seeing Lloyd from there but because of him getting aged up doesn’t know who he is

When he starts leaning towards good he get a job at a cafe

He loves tea

Likes spray painting, musicals, complicated heist.

Mommy issue/abandonment issues

Fun fact! He doesn’t realise that Darren is a complete fake/loser

He thinks he super cool and Darren indirectly helps him become a better person! 💔😭

Was teased about his fangs 😞

He has pink braces in the early season/while as a bad guy

Has a hidden undercut.

As the season progresses he grows out his hair.

I couldn’t think of a lot of villains that would hesitate to beat up a bunch of kids. Which is quite twisted! But two did come to mind!

Morro pulls his punches a little with the younger ninja.

Since Lloyd actually grew up I think he slightly more meaner to him.

His main focus is Lloyd and sensei Wu.

his thought processes is “what do you mean, you let more kids think there gonna be the green ninja only to crushed there dreams?”

“WHY ARE YOU TEACHING KIDS SENSEI WU?!? DO YOU REALLY WANT MORE KIDS TO DIE LIKE I DID”

He thinks Jay is a sweet kid! (Look I read a fanfic where they were brother I need more of that)

He quite surprise by their training, because he didn’t get as far in his training with Sensei Wu

Treats them like nuisances and doesn’t try fighting them at first

If there in his way/he has to he will though 

Generally I think it’s mostly the minor villains like Ronin that would hesitate.

Since Ronin is quite morally gray, he would struggle between the line of good and evil more

When he sold Zane to chen he didn’t realise that

1. He was gonna be a kid l

2. That zane had a “conscious”? He just assumed he be more robotic

I think he definitely helps the ninja more than in cannon because they are younger.

Although he calls/thinks of them as troublesome and brats

Ohhh! That’s a fun one to answer. When I was a kid I was in love with Lloyd. Me and my sister would fight over him.. 😭😭 now that I’m older, I still like him I’m just not as obsessed/ not crushing on him anymore. But im rewatching and actually getting back into the fandom. I’d say my fav is Jay. My current ranking of the ninjas right now is

1.Jay

2.Kai

3. Nya

4. Lloyd

5. Cole (he needs more screen time)

6. Zane

I love them all though! Honestly each character arc is super fun to follow and I love seeing their struggles! I can’t wait too see what they do with characters in the dragon rising (I haven’t watch that yet but will get to it soon 😭)

First to go: Kai. Hands down. No questions asked.

Next to go: Cole.

Next!! I was torn between Nya and Jay, but I’m cautiously saying Nya because Jay is a cockroach.

Next is Jay!! Yk that thing when people lose their partner they’ve spent decades with and end up passing shortly after? Yeah

Next we have Lloyd. The Oni/dragon blood results in him outliving almost everyone by a wide margin. It’s definitely rough on him. I think he’d only live to 300-500 instead of 1000+ though because he’s half human.

And in an ironic twist of fate, the one who dies the most lives the longest because Zane is immortal. He’ll keep coming back. He’ll find a way to return, no matter what. Built to protect for all eternity

He sees Nya as his daughter since she look so much like his late wife.

But instead of marrying her, he have some ritual to bind her to his side forever.

Huge emotional manipulation on Nya

Gave her Jay’s cut off hand because she was acting “disobedient”

Other punishment like starving her and locking her in her room. Although he wouldn’t physically harm her

The other ninjas also sustain a lot more injuries

Jay loses his eye as well as his hand. Making him look even more pirate like

Zane loses a leg.

Kai and Cole both are severely injured.

Lloyd is the probably the least injured since he the oldest in this Au. But the guilt he carries is huge!

Nya still dies

Baby Jay is left the only one to remember his friends gruesome fate after he makes the wish for everything to go back!

He doesn’t tell anyone not even Lloyd and Kai who he closest with in this Au.

He just goes completely nonverbal for a month or two, he avoids Nya like the plague for a lot longer and by extension Kai as well

Jay has huge identity issue due to finding out he was adopted

Zane is the one who finally gets him to break his silence by forcing Jay to bake with him

Kai yells at him when he finds out, then hug the life out of him for keeping that a secret

They all dog pile Jay when they find out.

Lloyd gets Jay to finally go to therapy

He gets the others to go as well

Their villains fall into three categories

1. Refuse/reluctant to fight a kid

2. Ignores the fact that their kids and treat them like in canon

3. Even worse than cannon. (Nadakhan)

ok but seriously. dr s3 was not a season it was a fic generator in disguise. LIKE THEY GAVE US SOOOO MUCH. and now I’m drowning in fic ideas with zero ability to commit to just one so here’s a brain dump (but jay edition because i wrote them all out and accidentally hit one thousand million words):

so. the obvious one is jaya. Duhhhhh. just jaya in general. jaya angst. They r so tragic now and i want it all. the absolute disaster of it. i want every version

give me nya trying to flirt her way back in like “hey, remember me? your girlfriend? the love of your life? jay. jay. JAY.” and jay’s like “okay first of all i barely remember ur name.” he’s being stubborn about not catching feelings, and she’s being even worse about refusing to take the hint coz if she can’t win him back with love she is Absolutely going to do it with sheer persistence and mild emotional terrorism

and kai keeps trying to give her advice but fumbling bad bitches is a genetic trait and they’re both diseased

OKAY AND JAY. IN GENERAL. OBVIOUSLY

i need his pov through the whole season. the fallout after what happened w ras and how he was well and truly Abandoned with a capital a HE HAD NO ONE . him trying to piece himself together without his memories. and how he rediscovers like the little things that made him HIM. the inventing. the way he starts tinkering with stuff without even thinking. the terrible jokes and the way he needs to lighten the mood even when everything’s falling apart. HOW HE MAKES A NAME FOR HIMSELF and is just really his own person. i loveeeeeee how they didn’t just brush it off like yea he’s doing his own thing now whateverrrr. like they went into specifics (ish) and i feel like it rlly added to his personality

AND THEN him trying to trust this group of strangers who keep looking at him like he MATTERS. like they KNOW him. and he’s just like “ok cool cool cool i don’t Know any of u but sure.”

he keeps saying he’s fine when he’s literally NOT. cracking jokes like it’s instinct but they don’t land right. he laughs and then immediately wants to curl into a corner and disappear. BUT HE CANT CONFIDENIN ANY OF THEKNBECAUSE HE DOESNT KNOWNTHEM!!!!!! side note he clearly knows a LOT (based off how he knew about arin’s parents instantly) BUT HE DIDNT VOLUNTEER THAT INFO UNTIL RIGHT AT THE END AND HE KEPT IT ALL TO HIMSELF FOR SO LONG. WHAT R U DOING. and everyone thought just FINDING jay would be the hardest part but actually this is and they don’t know what to do

okay and. Well. plasma. Like sorry u all knew this was coming. i have to live up to the plasmara name after all its in the contract. and i Love them but I don’t want to write angst for them in this context I just think it would be so funny to have kai hardcore crushing on his sister’s ex fiancée and even funnier to have jay somehow like him back. Like he just takes whatever kai tells him at face value and thinks yup.. this is the one i Trust. just hears kai say “yeah you were totally into me” ONE TIME as a joke or in a moment of panic and he fully believes it cos he’s got the memory of a damp sponge. Like. “oh. yeah. that checks out. i must have been with you. makes sense. ur hot” And after kai finishes freaking out he decides yup THIS IS MY CHANCE!! nya u had him for years. It’s MY turn now

and he is now committed to the bit with his whole chest. takes every opportunity to “remind” jay how deeply in love he was.

Okay so my first tumblr post! I’ve just been lurking on a tumblr for a long time…

So I drew a tiny Age reversal of the ninjas!

Ages: Lloyd 17, Cole 11, Zane and Kai 10, Jay 9 and Nya 8.

Ummm this is some hc that I have on the show from this au. Ships, well their kids so it’s mainly crushes.

Lloyd

Starts off as a minor villain like in show but easily beats the ninjas!

Motivation is to become a great villain like his dad

Till he meets Sensei Wu and realise that he doesn’t want to hurt the young ninjas

Still got kicked out of darkly when he was younger but became more independent and has more trust issue since Wu didn’t find him till he was 17

In season 1 he gets kidnapped by the snakes I think that still happens but it happens because he went on his own to fight them

Lloyd and lord Garmondon relationship is still the same

Just slightly more strained when it’s revealed that he’s the green ninja.

LORD GARMONDON DISLIKE SENSEI WU

That man is angry that Sensei Wu is sending kids and his own son to defeat him

So in S2 he’s targeting sensei Wu over the ninjas

HE REMAINS A BIT OF PRANKSTER 💔💔

Kinda stereotypical mean older brother vibes?

Less mature than older Lloyd in the show

But has more survival tactics and understand villains motivations

More edgy and emo, def doesn’t forgive Misako so easily

I think he would still take on a leadership role since he’s the oldest

Mentoring the younger ninjas, he picks up on things more quickly

Struggles with duty and discipline

Struggle with what right and wrong, plus forgiving people who left him (his family)

Thinks of the others as brats

No one can insult you but me vibes

He gets upset whenever the other get hurt

Morro possessed him and made him hurt them

He has nightmares for weeks afterwards

He makes bets with sensei Wu on who will end up with each other

gossip with Nya

Encouraging the others to go out and be kids when he can

Will take them to the arcade and get them food

Shares his sweets with Cole

Kai got upset that Cole was getting special treats

so Lloyd will train and play with Kai extra when he notices that he getting jealous

Zane and him cook together all the time

He see himself in Jay especially with having similar insecurities like abandonment issues, struggling with being good enough.

He does not want morro anywhere near Jay because he could feel that Morro actually liked Jay (platonically)

Cole

When his mom died, I imagined that his farther threw himself into dancing and dragged Cole with him.

Cole couldn’t handle living up to his dads standards and the grief

So either A. Ran away from home and joined the ninjas.

Or B. Made up some fancy dance boarding school like in cannon and joined the ninjas

Since he’s the oldest (beside Lloyd) he took on a leadership role

He struggled with overworking himself worries about not being enough for the other ninjas

Sensei Wu unofficial favourite kid

Quite innocent compared to his older self

Has a sweet tooth and begs sensei Wu to buy more treats. (Sensei Wu always gives in)

When he reveals to his farther that he’s been a ninja his farther is still slow to accept him

His farther comes around just like in cannon

However he wants to make it up to Cole and be a better dad!!

So visit every now and then to check up on him.

Coles dad comes and gives the ninja team dancing lesson, Cole finds them embarrassing and annoying at first

But Cole dad always brings a cake for them to all eat

Will save up and give gifts to the other.

Buys Kai and Jay video games and reads/plays it with them

Him, Jay and Lloyd all practice dancing together

Nya and him have a competition to make a better playlist than the other

Begs Zane to let him in the kitchen once, everyone got food poising

The scene (S1) where Zane finds out he’s a robot and his creator is gone?

Boy is crashing out 💔💔

Treats the falcon like a pet

More emotion than og Zane,

Dr. Jullian (Zane’s creator?) made him a child body and adult body that he can switch to.

Zane remains in his child body till later season and upgrades to the adult body. (Maybe when he “dies” his conscious uploads to his adult body?)

He would struggle with his humanity and what it means to be a nindroid

Pixal would be/look the same age as him

Very innocent romantic relationship. Think middle school relationships, where they’ve only held hands like once 😭.

Besides having more emotion than og Zane remains the same

In s2 everyone leaves to go back home except him

Everyone comes back once it looks like lord garmondon is up to no good

The only kid allowed in the kitchen

Slower to upload information, since he’s a kid

Prefers to play and hang out with Nya most of the time

Is the most comforting and comforts Kai when he lashes out

Goes to Nya and Jay for upgrade that will allow him to mature with the rest of them

He see great potential in Lloyd

Out of the boys, he closest with Cole, underrated friendship

Kai

Hot headed and more arrogant

Impulsive? 10x as much. Sensei Wu is aging 2x as fast with him around

He more of a jerk at first because he still dealing with the loss of his parents

More protective of Nya because he doesn’t have the strength to save her as much

Not very flirty since he’s a kid

Acts like a typical middle school boy

Struggles with his powers

Secretly looks up to Lloyd and acts like a annoying little brother to him

Desperate to be the green ninja because he wants to be strong and special

He wants to be Sensei Wu favourite

Gets Jealous of Cole, Zane, Lloyd and Nya because he thinks sensei Wu likes them more than him

He also jealous of Cole and Jay family

Jealousy issues

Besties with Jay because he feels like he can protect him and be cool around him

One sided beef with Cole. Cole has no idea,

Thinks Zane is extremely smart so will bother him with any questions he has

If he thinks of himself as the leader than Zane is his 2nd command.

He doesn’t like leaving the blacksmith shop, since he emotionally attach to it

Will come back every couple months to do upkeep on it

Jay

Find it hard to believe that his adoptive parents would let him be a ninja as such a young age

But in this au, I think sensei Wu saw them struggling to take care of their family (due to money issues) and offered to take Jay and train him

It hurt them, but they wanted Jay to be able to have a full stomach as well as finally be able to make friends

I don’t think he ever hung out with kids his age

So Jay is quiet shy in S1 plus when he nervous he just blabber on and on

As season progresses he becomes more snarky and confident

He definitely hyper aware of his insecurities

So will lash out more

Doesn’t have a crush on Nya since he doesn’t yet know how to hang out with people his age

He still thinks she really cool and wants to hang out with her

Kai is more friendly to him because of that

The others are protective over him since he young and shy.

But he has the most control and skill with his powers. 😭

Would get annoyed at them for treating him like a baby

when he lashes out and be all snarky with them for the first time. they would all be like: shocked pikachu face 😭

Except Zane, Zane was the only one to treat him like normal

Lloyd comforts him when he feels insecure

When morro possess Lloyd, he treats Jay nicer than everyone else (Storm brother will happen in cannon I swear 🙏)

I think in S4? When Cole and Nya are said to be the perfect match he would start to get jelly.

Would be jealous but wouldn’t understand why, until it hits him in the middle of a fight with Cole that he likes Nya

Naddakah or whatever that jerk name is, would traumatise him, by then he would finally understand his feelings for Nya

He does not gloss over the fact that he was abandoned and is adopted???

This boy will have issues about that, and adds to his insecurities!!

when Naddakah is all over he would avoid Nya feeling bad about what happened

Cole and him are great friends, and he takes every opportunity to cling to him

His parents visit often but mostly he visits them. They worry about him a lot

Nya

Oh she is so annoyed that she didn’t get to train as a ninja in S1

Wouldn’t be able to help herself and make passive aggressive comments at Wu

Wu wouldn’t understand why she upset at him

Smaller and less powerful version of her samurai armour

Forces Wu to start her training as a ninja

Wu feels bad and realise he should of started to train her to be ninja as well

She more feisty than in cannon

She still dealing with the loss her parents just like Kai

While Kai gets angry about it and searches for replacement of his parents issue

She completely distracts herself from the issue till she breaks

She realises before Jay does that he has a crush on her

One day she breaks down over her parents and Lloyd is the one to comfort her

She made Lloyd her second older brother, which annoys Kai

Zane will sneak her into the kitchen and they will cook with each other

She helps makes upgrade for Zane and reassure him that even if he’s a nindroid she still see him as a person

Has a small awkward crush / relationship with Cole when they are said to be a great match. They break up rather quickly realising it wasn’t gonna work

Naddakah (genie dude) would want to adopt her instead of marrying her because he what he imagined his daughter would of looked like

And also that would be extremely gross if he wanted to marry a kid

She is so desperate for another girl on the team

Tries so hard for Skylor and Pixal to join the team, heart broken when they don’t

She still has girl night and sleepovers with them which makes her feel like a kid again

They would be teens when they meet harumi and she would be her bi awakening,

Looks up to harumi so much. Harumi would be the same age as Lloyd though.
