Think I've finally mastered she's an angel on accordion I'm so happy

#meaning i can finally get through the whole song without going Wait fuck cos i pressed the wrong key #so . so . so many tmbg songs i want to learn but the problem with practicing accordion is i find it hard to justify it to myself time wise #because like practicing guitar working on songs practicing recording is all stuff i need to do to keep working towards my goals music wise #even practicing piano is like i can justify it to myself but i do not need to be learning to play accordion its truly self indulgent #which is Fine because All of this is self indulgent anyway i dont need to be doing anything #i just feel guilty continuing to put off working on songs ive been meaning to finish so i can go play them and like stuff like that #and theres no way im putting accordion in my own arrangements ever that would be way too on the nose so its really just .#so that i can sometimes play tmbg songs and go Omfg this is so fun. which is okay it IS fun #after all why not . why shouldnt i learn to play accordion on the side just because that guy from my favorite band plays accordion. really #i also figured out how to play the third processional from house of mayors and now i wanna practice it til i can play it up to speed but #that feels like such a useless endeavour but isnt that true of almost everything we do in life...so ill do it anyways for fun

okay i FINALLY watched kung fu panda 4 and i have a lot of thoughts, especially about the parallels between tai lung and zhen. tai lung was taken in by shifu, who loved him and believed in him but took pride in him to a fault, leading to the arrogance and entitlement that was tai lung's downfall; zhen was taken in by the chameleon, who criticized her and used her and acted only out of self interest, a belief system that ultimately lead to zhen's rebellion. two young kids each given a chance by a master, one of them with kindness and excessive leniency, the other with mal-intent and no room for error. tai lung and zhen could've easily swapped places and each of them turned out differently. it's so fascinating, and a very smart writing choice to bring tai lung back into focus in conjunction with the the introduction of zhen's character.

#kung fu panda 4 #kung fu panda #kfp #i was pleasantly surprised by this film i must say!!!#ive seen mixed reviews and i certainly dont think it has anything on the first two movies but it's better than the third #kfp3 is exceptionally weak compared to the rest of the franchise so it was nice to see a step up from that #i feel much better about this film being the end of po's story #and i love zhen!!!!! i was worried she was gonna be like a quirky new side character with no depth thats meant to appeal to the new young+#audience but i think she's absolutely incredible #if she gets her own saga following this movie i wont be surprised nor disappointed #good movie!#the music and fight choreo and visuals were all on par with what ive come to expect as well #which is to say they were v good #and honestly i laughed out loud a bunch. while on a public bus no less #ive seen a lot of criticisms about the humor but i thought it was fun and good :p

#guysssssss..... im sentinelbrained again.........#maybe next time ill get into something a single other person likes too but today is not that day #i feel bad yapping about this show to anyone directly cause it really is not that Good but. i am having sososo much fun with it #its such a good time #im on the third season and well it turns out the main character stoic cop guy has an evil toxic dad and some major daddy issues #and in this ep hes doing like. the whole 'you didnt want me to be different you made me feel like a freak but this is who i am this is me'#and like. yea its about the sentinel thing but u are also the man living with your Super Special boy bestie #who serial killers use as bait to lure you out like weekly and who you got a soul bond with and stuff so. could be nothing really #all the acting in this show is so like. i mean its not Bad bad but its very exaggerated at times fshsjsj and its so much fun #every episode has a 10minute chase scene #and these gaudy half fade commercial break title cards #so sillyy its so sillyyyy aagh #my post #anyways #you guys are lucky the sentinel tag here is so hard to navigate cos otherwise youd be getting another spamming of gifs right about now #theres a bunch of scenes where you only realize halfway through that sandburgs there too cos jim and simon are so tall compared to him #and he doesnt get any lines anyway. and it always makes me laugh #every single ep has a side charcater with one ear pierced. sandburg has one ear pierced. jim has one ear pierced. everyone does its the 90s #the music is so obnoxious and theyre playing it All the time and its the funniest thing #and the sound bites when jims using his Sentinel Senses are even funnier #anyway ye its not a good show and its not anywhere and nobody knows it but. i like it soso much #the constant slo-mo when something Dramatic happens too omfg can we bring it back

also another reason i play picc despite it causing my migraines is because i can use it to win arguments. Like any other instrument you have no right to complain about piccolo being "too high" when i am playing it and it gives ME migraines. like. ok coward. what do u even have to complain about

#also its literally NEVER the flutes or oboes (who sit on either side of me) complaining even though they are third closest lol #(first two closest being my right ear and my left ear respectively btw)#ive had them be like wtf thats so high when im on a REALLY stupidly high note but its always in solidarity with me lol #complainers are always like trumpets and low brass and its like Damn that sucks dude.#It must be so hard for u to be like 20+ feet away from it at all times. Sounds like the hardest thing in the world its a good thing nobody #in the ensemble has to specifically be exactly that distance closer to it. Say about 3in away Per Ear. That would just be. Awful #disclaimer picc is fun i love playing picc its great #other benefits include: small i can just put it in my backpack :) flute can also do that but only if i dont have a ton of stuff in there #actually easier to play faster passages than on flute bc the keys are smaller and therefore lighter #marching picc is great cause you dont have to worry as much about rain cause its so little #and also people Will hear u #fun fact my picc that i own has problems with the cork in the headjoint being loose #and therefore the crown and everything can just. Come out. (NOT supposed to happen)#so their name is Lottie which is short for. Lobotomy.#which reminds me i need to take her to a repair shop again bc not only is that cork loose AGAIN (i dont think they actually replaced it the #first time which is Annoying) But Also the glue on the pad on the A flat key has come out a few times. Which strictly speaking i can fix #myself bc its just hot glue and a lighter but it gives me an excuse to be like Hey. Replace the fucking cork this time okay? ive soaked it #about 8 million times and it didnt work. Its dried out i PROMISE it just needs replacing #maybe ill mention im a music student so they believe me

PHOTO DUMP for my storage vault!! it's underneath a small (real gold and emerald block) totem statue I made years ago, and each path off the main chamber leads to a honey slide and bubble elevator drop, with a path at the bottom that forks around and meets at the purpur + amethyst geode roof chamber before going into another storage room

that forking path I didn't show bc im still iffy on the jungle planks for the walls but I really like the circular chambers I've made and it's been a great excuse to use lots of blocks I love but never've had a chance to build with ^_^

#still very much work in progress #I need to make the mirror of the honey n elevator drops etc still - might make that side include a big map instead of bookshelves #and the third offshoot of the main chamber will probably end up being the music room if making note block music ends up not being too big!#and yes. this is all built on evens T_T my totem statue is even so it couldn't be helped rip #lynx says things #lynx plays minecraft

My two hobbies I could spend forever typing/writing/talking about is my ocs and crochet lmao. If I'm not thinking of my ocs I'm probs thinking of my crochet projects. Once I start OC posting like I do with crochet it's over and the dash will be full of walls of text
