I see people on this site say that bakudeku is doomed when in fact bakudeku is the only ship I can confidently say beat the doomed allegations by sheer willpower. It’s actually so funny. Like, Katsuki DIED and Edgeshot sacrificed his whole body to try and bring him back, JUST for him to run right back into battle because absolutely no way is he losing to that ashy freak and his wrinkly nut sack for a father figure. If Edgeshot didn’t do what he did I can’t imagine what would’ve happened to Izuku. The way he behaved after seeing Katsuki’s pale lifeless body on the floor has me truly concerned for him.

Honestly,,those two scare me…

thinking about how the Guidance of Grace in Land of Shadow never points us to where Messmer is (the one at Divine Beast arena points towards the sealed gate aka a dead end). It’s Leda and Dane’s notes that tell us to head East and target him.

Guidance only picks up again after Messmer is defeated 🥲

If you think about it, he never commented on how we were following guidance of the Erdtree like Leda did, he started the fight simply because he wouldn’t accept us as Marika’s Lord. Which means he knows we are not there on his Mother’s guidance (& it’s true, we aren’t)

And it reminds me of his final dialogue again. Since he’s destroyed her blessing, he could only now be a curse. And so he bound himself to her once more with his last breath.

I feel like that’s how Marika knows - a whole world away in her own prison of punishment and crucifixion - and she accepts his curse. In a way, they are reunited once more.

So guidance of grace picks up again, her son’s sacrifice would not be in vain. It would not be for nothing. Miquella’s misguided path to Godhood would be stopped.

It’s not that Leda failed to see who was guiding us at first, it’s simply that the Erdtree never guides us until AFTER Messmer boss fight.

I think you've mentioned before that after Machete's passing, Vasco would eventually find another partner that he'd live out the rest of his days with. Do you think he'd tell them about Machete at some point? Or would he feel it's safer/easier to keep the stories and memories to himself? If he did tell his partner I'd also understand if he chose to leave out certain details, such as Machete's job, whether it be for general safety or a sense to protect Machete's privacy and reputation even though he's gone

I think the partner Vasco lives the rest of his days with is most likely his platonic wife Ludovica, the one he was already married to at the time he reunited with Machete in their early thirties. I can see him eventually starting to try to see other men again, and he might love them too, but the whole process of trying to open up to other people (after all those years and the way things ended) would be kind of lonely, frustrating and painful for the most part. Chances are none of his subsequent relationships would last very long. He'd probably grow closer to Ludovica and she would do her best to support him. I'm not sure how much of his 10+ years with Machete he'd be able to share with anyone to be honest.

One reason I want Skizz on hermitcraft that I haven’t seen anybody talk about yet is his capacity as a contributor to and author of storylines. Like we all need to recognize the skill this guy has in making a compelling character and making story arcs around that. The latest imp n skizz has really solidified this in my mind. C!Skizz is a great character in the life series for a reason and that’s because cc Skizz is honestly pretty good at storytelling, let him onto the silly storyline server and I bet you’ll like the results (for many reasons including this one)

Today I’m thinking about this disaster family and what could have been.

The most doomed siblings ever.

If I had a nickel for everytime Cal had a dark haired sister with a two syllable name that ends with A, who had experience being betrayed/not prioritised by a parent/guardian and had a complicated relationship with Cal, I’d have two nickels. Which is strange that it happened twice and also Kata Trilla parallels drive me insane!

I do like to wonder what it would have been like if Trilla had lived and redeemed herself. I think she and Cal would have a very chaotic relationship with A LOT of bickering, but ultimately she could help with a lot of the dark side struggles Cal faces.

And her and Kata? Well. I think Trilla would see a lot of herself in her.

Add Trilla “mother issues” Suduri, Kata “father issues” Akuna and Cal “I never had parents and hence have all the issues” Kestis together and you have a very fun lineage that totally isn’t doomed to suffer or anything. Ignore the gaping hole in Trilla’s chest. Never mind that.

one pet peeve of mine in founders-era fanfics is when madara's whole,,,, everything is solved by izuna just being there

like maybe this is just me, but i don't think izuna surviving or even coming around to the idea of a truce with the senju would've been enough to keep madara from the path he ended up on.

izuna wasn't the reason he left - he was definitely part of madara's issues, but he wasn't the why. even if izuna had stuck around, and even if that had been enough to keep the uchiha clan from losing their faith in madara, i think he would've still come to realize konoha wasn't what he'd hoped it would be.

best case scenario, i think izuna's survival might've caused madara to stick around a bit longer, but i don't think it would've lasted. honestly, even then, that might've just made the inevitable break-up between madara and hashirama even more agonizing (particularly for izuna)

it's a fun idea to play around with for sure, but frankly i don't think canon!madara could've ever been 'saved' from that path. certainly not if the hidden village system ended up getting set up in the same way.

I understand why it wasn't possible, but it's such a shame we couldn't get Jenny back for The Wish. She and Giles fighting a losing battle side by side and being hardened from it, but remaining each other's solace. Them piecing together the puzzle Cordelia presents to them and having faith in a world better than this, only for Anyanka to try and throw them by hinting at Jenny's death should they return. Giles faltering at the thought of losing her and Jenny, once again, sacrificing herself and destroying the necklace. The way she sees it: she'll either be dead by The Master's hand or by her own, and only one of those inevitabilities gives the man she loves a chance of survival. She kisses him as she plunges herself into the abyss, wanting the last thing she experiences to be his love.

Giles waking up the following morning, the pang in his heart he always feels whenever he remembers Jenny accompanied by a newfound feeling of emptiness, and he's not quite sure why.
